AAA-US: Lots of pairs matches, Wagner/Parka vs Chessman/Park, 187 vs Hernandez/Zorro, plus Damian/Halloween return to face Jack/Rocky, and Alex/Christian vs Aero/Fabi for the mixed tag titles. Last TV match for the time being for Chessman, and the last match for Rocky – his turn on the next taping was cut from the Mexician airing.

The big news here is the show airs 2 hours earlier (unless you’re on the West Coast feed), which makes life a little easier for people who are also recording 52MX and Teleformula at the same time.

52MX: Minis match (Saturno’s annual appearance), plus Manson/Alebrije/Olimpico vs Panther/Dorada/Sagrado

CMLL-LATV: next episode in line is Double Dorada – the mini with Astral/Dragon vs Nitro/Violencia/Warrior, and the bigger one with Stuka & Metro vs Poder Mexica. Odds a new episode airs: 10%

CMLL-TF: Angels/Stuka vs Cancerbero/Okumura/Ysho, plus Maximo/Sagrado vs Garza/Texano. Never really understood how often Maximow as in Guadalajara until I started watching this show.

—-

CMLL: hopefully just the Universal tournament and Mistico/Psicosis, though they squeezed another match in last year.

AAA-MEX: Expo taping, already. CiberClowns vs Legion, Electro/UG vs Wagner/Tiger, minis, people in no condition to perform on the microphones

CMLL-FOX: Tuareg vs Stuka/Fuego/Rush, where the feud set up is NOT for the Arena Coliseo Tag Team championship. Makes no sense to me. Also, Mistico/Shocker/Strong Man vs Averno/Mephisto/Lyger

Doesn’t look like there’s a Sunday replay this week.

C3: The Tuesday results I forgot to post today, including a set up for a trios title match next week.

Puebla: is this airing? I haven’t seen anything about it since it should’ve come back on. Main is Invaders vs Mistico/Mascara/Panther

Perros: see above, except I have no guess.

ACM: Next taping would be Aventurero/Hator/Estrella with title and hair on the line. No idea what’ll air.

CMLL-TFN: I think $tew said he did voice overs for Infierno en el Ring; this would be the week for that, and maybe Super Sky Team vs Atlantis/Niebla/UG

AAA on Televisa #948 (07/24/2010)

Auditorio Benito Juarez, Zapopan, Jalisco, 06/20/2010

she meant to do this, right?

Chikayo Nagashima, Fabi Apache, Meiko Satomura vs Christina Von Eerie, Jennifer Blake, Sexy Star: hey, these Japanese girls actually want to have a match this time! Too bad they’re in one built around throwing drinks at Mari Apache. This was still more fun than it should’ve been, though maybe they could’ve shown a replay of the finish so we could’ve got the spot they built around.

Alan Stone & Chris Stone vs Cuervo & Ozz: Worked better than last week, though they probably could’ve done this breakup without facing group every week. I liked the idea of angry/gullible Chris Stone being distracted by Hijo de Tirantes lies, that was a nice touch.

Heavy Metal, Octagón, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Electroshock, Silver King, Último Gladiador: I don’t understand why Electroshock & Metal were feuding before this match, but I understand why they might be after this match. Chris Stone and Heavy Metal both seem to be doing losing streak storylines at the same time, though at least they’re going different ways with it. It felt like they did what they usually do, but over a much shorter time, so I was okay with it.

Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario vs Alex Koslov, Chessman, Super Crazy: I am liking matches with 187 and Tiger. AAA must’ve broken me. I’m not sure about debuting the Perros in a semimain, but the match worked pretty well.

Cibernético, Dr. Wagner Jr., La Parka Jr. vs Hernandez, LA Park, Zorro: This was just okay, and then had the brawl that had fifteen things going on with it to make it hard to follow (including Tirantes/Apache, which seems totally unnecessary unless Tirantes is wrestler or Apache is becoming a referee.) The three way title match setup is more apparent in retrospect, though I still don’t understand why Vampiro didn’t attack Silver King.

Konnan sometimes does that nerd thing where they’re so excited to share their knowledge on something, they blurt it out even though no one besides them actually cares at that moment. It’s so weird to think of Konnan as a nerd.

Stuka & Metal Blanco keep their masks, LLUSA

CMLL (TUE) 07/27 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring, SuperLuchas]
1) Relampago b Cerveruz
2) Ángel del Mal & Infierno b Angelo & Astaroth
3) Neutrón & Palacio Negro b Malefico & Mr. Trueno
4) Máximo, Rotoporky, Shocker DQ Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Bucanero
5) Metal Blanco & Stuka Jr. b Exterminador & Máscara Mágica [hair]

Rudos won the first, and were going to win the second when they got themselves DQed for pulling off the tecnicos match. In the third, Stuka was eliminated, then Exterminador, so it came back to the Magica/Metal feud it started with. Magica gave Metal a neckbreaker and pinned him and got the win.

Except the commission rep noticed Magica’s feet were on the ropes and ordered a restart. This time, they had a ref bump and Magica fouling Metal Blanco. Stuka jumped back in the ring, dropped Magica, did his splash, and put Metal Blanco back on top. Tecnicos won. Rudos walked off, but came back and got their hair cut off.

Maximo faked a foul from Atlantis in the semimain.

PWInsider says Lucha Libre USA episode #2 got a 0.09 rating. That’s half the number as last week, and half the average for the network. Bad sign.

Dos de Tres acknowledged the Verano de Escandalo lineup from last week.

Latin Lover says there’s on going litigation over his name, but he can use it while it goes on. He’s also recently moved to San Antonio.

Sangre Azteca is back in Mexico. Terrible and Texano say their are no challengers for their Occidente Tag Team titles, and they would be willing to face Hector Garza & Mr. Aguila in a battle of rudos for the World Tag Team titles.

The usual monthly show from this group, but on the other side of the border, in Laredo, Texas. Hope there’s no problems with that. Super Sky Team together is a bit odd.

Earlier in the week, there’s a tag team tournament with CMLL wrestlers in Leon. Mistico & Mascara Dorada is the way to go. Odd they’re running in Leon on a Wednesday.

CMLL Guerreros del Ring on 52MX #243 (07/17/2010)

can't stop sentoning!

taped Arena Coliseo, 07/11/2010

Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata, Fabián el Gitano vs Maniaco, Monsther, Oriental: nice heavy tease of Oro/Monsther as a red herring. Monsther, whoever he might be, was pretty active and Maniaco was hyper active. I’ve got no problem with this.

La Máscara, La Sombra, Último Guerrero vs Héctor Garza, Terrible, Texano Jr.: They really didn’t get to explore Ultimo Guerrero teaming with these guys, just doing tecnico spots, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a close to a last minute deal and came together OK for that.
