Fabi Apache, Lolita, Octagoncito vs Mari Apache, Mini Charly Manson, Sexy Star: Entertaining mixed tag match, nothing extraordinary but a good opener for the TV show. Finish seemed to come out of nowhere, but I guess now Mini Charly Manson has a finishing move (that’s not el Pozo?)
Aerostar, Argenis, Fenix vs Daga, Dark Dragon, Gran Apache : Better than the opener, though maybe not as great as it might have been. This would’ve been better in front of a crowd which made actual noise; between the silence and the long run of técnico offense to start the match, it felt like they were doing spots in an empty warehouse. Argenis wasn’t having a good day as well. Still was entertaining and definitely good, but they’ve got more out of similar matches with these guys.
Drago, La Parka Jr., Zorro vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker : Not as strong for the Infernal Rockers as their debut match, because they spent a lot more of the match stooging for the técnicos. Still, they were good stooges and got the win in the end. La Parka’s comedy felt fresh here; it’s must be because it’s been so long since he’s done it, since he’s been in serious one armed brawling mood for years now.
Cibernético & El Mesías vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Héctor Garza: not much of a match, just a turn and a long not that interesting brawl on TV. Doing the Garza turn before the match probably worked out better, but it made the match after it seem anti-climatic and nothing they did got the attention back on it. Entertained the live crowd but wasn’t as interesting on TV.
Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Máscara Año 2000 Jr.: the usual non-logic – interference is the DQ finish of the last match but totally okay here, all the objects are good to use until they get to the finish where they must be stopped – with another long not particularly compelling brawl. It’s weird but not surprising how the show you’d get on the national broadcast (two brawls) are totally different than the rest of the match shown (more balanced wrestling matches). This feud is so done, and yet there’s probably six more months to go.
