Dragon Lee vs Polvora: This one almost made me take back everything good I’ve said about Pólvora. So slow, so boring, so very little but chops and faceslams. I did like him using the submission at the end; sure, he had Dragon Lee beat, but if you’re going to be graded, you ought to throw in an extra little flourish to impress. Dragon Lee things, about as well as usual, but neither guy really connected with the crowd.
Triton vs Puma King: Better match of the pair, more action, especially out of the rudo. One pretty bad flub near the end, but these two got over to the crowd a lot stronger than the other. Triton’s La Mistica wasn’t great (Magnus was actually doing them better), but it sure is interesting to see someone do them.
Euforia vs Diamante: Another just okay match. Diamante looked sloppier than the guys in the other match, and they really didn’t string a lot together interesting. I wish they would’ve shown the “2” promo.
Titán vs Niebla Roja: never really got cooking. This is one where announcing might have helped, if only to cover up the silence which detracted. Titan really screwed up his own finish, and I can’t think of ever seeing any worse. I wonder if they had a slower start because they heard the previous complaints about not enough wrestling in these matches, but it kind of sabotaged when it came to the finish. Only the one dive too.
