Match 1: Dragon Lee vs Polvora
Arena Mexico, 04/27/2012

Winner: Pólvora
Match Time: 8:48
Rating: poor
Notes: Miguel appears to be making notes even as Dragon Lee is walking to the ring. They've got to come out thru the lower entrances, since the table blocks off the ramp. JCR does the ring announcing for whatever reason. No announcers. Ref is Bestia Negra.

Circle. Lockup, and Pólvora walks Dragon Lee into the ropes to chop him. They've got the clock going. Dragon Lee backs up Pólvora in the ropes and chops him. Not near as loud. Lockup, break. Lockup, Pólvora front facelock, out to an armdrag. Slight Pólvora chant. Lockup, double wristlock, Dragon Lee breaks it right away, kicks, and jumps on Pólvora shoulders. Off for a sort of leg drag. Dragon Lee walks aimlessly, so Pólvora rushes over and kicks him. Only he will be aimless! Zero leg trip bit is interrupted by Dragon Lee sweep and badly aimed shooting star press. Pólvora up and clothesline Dragon Lee, who does the Dragon Lee flip too soon. Pólvora pauses to pose, then pauses just to pause. This match is not even two minutes long, I'm in danger of blowing himself up. Chop, whip, Dragon Lee flips a bunch, Pólvora is stunned, Dragon Lee headscissors him out. Dragon Lee tope con giro looks good. Replay. Shot of the guys at the table watching. That's not the greatest advantage point. Pólvora pulls Dragon Lee back and get himself first. No problem, Dragon Lee springboard in with a sunset flip for two. Dragon Lee sent into the ropes, back with a 'rana, one two NO. Pólvora will got at his pace, thank you very much. Dragon Lee picked up by his mask, but Pólvora is not ready yet. Corner whip, corner clothesline, down goes Dragon Lee. Five minutes up.

Corner whip, charge, Dragon Lee slips out as Pólvora falls to the floor. Dragon Lee lands the run up the ropes tope con giro the biggest reaction of the match. Replay of that. Dragon Lee makes it back inside first this time. Pólvora looks at the referee counting 12 and decides he probably shouldn’t get up. He does make the count. Dragon Lee flipped to the apron nut kicking Pólvora away. Springboard in, but the plancha misses. Pólvora waves, covers, only gets two, complains about. Try doing something. Judge look bored. Pólvora goes back to the open hand chop. Whip, flapjack, one two NO. Pólvora sit up, thinks, and Dragon Lee pulls him into an armscissors. Pólvora in some trouble, but maneuvering his feet around onto the ropes. Dragon Lee kicks Pólvora in the chest four times, stands him up for a couple of knee lifts, and drops him in front of the corner. Some stomps, and Dragon Lee is going – to point at people on the apron. Now he'll go up, but very slowly. Shootings tar press - misses, Pólvora rolling in to avoid. Pólvora covers one two dragon Lee puts a foot on the ropes. Pólvora argues again. Great shot of the announcers, with Linares distracted by something off to his right, Negro messing with his boot, and Tiranets looking very bored. They keep showing the announcers because they’re nothing happening. Pólvora gets around to standing up Dragon Lee, and tells is that's it. Whip, Dragon Lee front flips to the ramp, forearms Pólvora, and goes for it – springboard nothing into a dropkick. Triangular del Solar (let's say) finishes it for Pólvora.

Judges score time. Pólvora first. Miguel wants to see Pólvora use more holds. Máximo agrees, though gives Pólvora credit for his body. Negro tells Pólvora to stop arguing with the ref so much. Tirantes is shouted out by the people and Pólvora turns his back on him for a second. Everyone gives him a 5, so that's a 20.

Dragon Lee time. Máximo comments on his body too. This is not supposed to be a bit. Negro wants to know where Dragon Lee's charisma is. Tirantes demands Dragon Lee show more respect by getting on the mat and wrestling. Dragon Lee can fly, but Tirantes doesn’t think he can wrestle at all. Scores are 4 from Miguel, 6 from Máximo, 6 from Negro, and 2 from Tirantes, for 18. A 2! Negro can't believe it.

Match 2: Triton vs Puma King
Arena Mexico, 04/27/2012

Winner: Triton
Match Time: 8:40
Rating: good
Notes: Puma has a cape, crown, and royal scepter! Great look. Referee is Terror Chino. Seems to be a jump before the match starts. No clock on screen here.

Armbar reversals lead to a Puma first out with a headscissors. Triton gets out and ties up the legs, and is momentarily discarded by a short lived Puma chant. Clock is now going, having started late. Triton tosses him around with an armbar, Puma gets free for a snap mare, Triton lands on his feet on that and an armdrag. Triton off the ropes, Puma flips him to the apron, Triton misses a punch, Puma lands a slap. Puma off the ropes, slide at Triton, Triton leaps in as Puma slides out, off the far ropes, and back with a tope con giro thru the ropes!

Puma miss a lazy clothesline, flips over a backdrop, Tritons shoulderblock, Puma runs and gets behind him, trip out, back in for the dropkick to the head. Triton puts a hand in the air and poses. He keeps switching hands, but it’s not quite working. Puma stands Triton up and slap hi mint the corner. Corner whip, charge, dropkick knocks Triton down in the corner. Puma backs up, and kicks Triton in the right shoulder area. Triton is trying to get the cobwebs loose, and Puma decides to let him. Chop by Puma. Corner whip, reversed, Tirantes charges, Puma flips out of the way to the apron, springboard in for the front cracker. Cover, one two NO he pulled him up! I think that's a bad call, though Puma really has room to approve here. Puma decides to follow up by posing on the middle rope. I hope they carefully told these guys what they wanted out of their matches and Puma’s not just being an idiot of his own design. Five minutes.

Whip, Triton over, under, springboard headscissors sends Puma sliding across the mat. Puma chop is blocked, Triton wristlock walk up the ropes, rope bounce armdrag. Puma stays in misses another lazy clothesline, and falls before Triton even hits him with his. Triton up the ropes, triple hop into a tornillo armdrag. Puma out now. Triton circling his hand for support, then runs – walk and turning up the ropes for a big moonsault to the floor. Triton is fired up. Replay of that moonsault, though the footing to get there was really the tricky part. Triton walks around the ring to get back in, while Puma recovers. Both back in. Puma stares at the clock, not as much his opponent. Both stop to point at the crowd and try to get people to chant for him. Crowd is way back in the background on these. Chop fight. Fireman's carry drop in front to the camera. Eight minute mark. Triton goes up, 450 splash misses, Triton rolls thru on his feet, but Puma slaps him anyway. Puma runs to the corner, but Triton is right behind him, Puma heel kicks him. I don’t think that was quite the plan. Puma casadora goes poorly, but they roll around until Puma gets the inverted figure four he wants. Triton is right next to the ropes, so he has to try and not grab them for a few seconds to give Puma something. Crowd is actually chanting for Triton, a small miracle for a non-top tecnico. Triton 'rana, Puma blocked into a powerbomb, then gets him up a little for another. One two NO. Under a minute less. Judges seem more into this one. Puma misses a clothesline, Triton back – La Místico, then into a crucifix cradle. One two three. Not the great Mistica ever, but interesting to see.

Judgment for Triton first. Miguel again demands more holds and less flying – it's not a circus! Triton totally disagrees and thinks this man is crazy. Máximo thinks Triton is in good shape. Negro says it was a good match and the crowd liked it, so he congratulates Triton. Triton is all happy. Tirantes also wants more holds. Triton can't believe this. Scores are Miguel 6, Máximo 8, Negro Casas 7, Tirantes 4. 4? Pólvora wasn't better. Tirantes is very distraught. 25 points for him.

Puma is next. He's found time to put on Puma King hoodie. Miguel says he looks llave contra llave. You don't say. Puma needs to improve in that area. Máximo says Puma's presentation was great. Negro gets on Puma for trying to get the crowd to cheer on him – he's there to win, not to get applause. Puma tries to get in Tirantes face, but Tirantes still tells him he's not close to being his father. Scores are Miguel 6, Máximo 7, Negro 5, Tirantes 3, for a total of 22. Puma can't believe Tirantes did him like that.

Match 3: Diamante vs Euforia
Arena Mexico, 05/01/2012

Winner: Euforia
Match Time: 5:41

Euforia is right near the ropes, and eventually realizes he can put his feet on them to break. Euforia punches Diamante down one, Diamante grabs the arm and hop to the top rope for the triple bounce tornillo armdrag the second time. Counters lead to Diamante rolling thru a casita and cradling Euforia for two. The three people who chant for people here are really into the match. Diamante blows a 'rana but get it to count anyway. Only a two count, thankfully. Crowd whistling, and not in a good way. Euforia clothesline Diamante in the corner, then walks him to the middle of the ropes for a while, Diamante reverses and drops him with a quebradora. Match 5: Titan vs Niebla Roja
Arena Mexico, 05/01/2012

Winner: draw (time limit)
Match Time: 10:00
Rating: okay
Notes: Titan & Niebla Roja have very hurried looking entrance videos, which is better than none. Referee is Terror Chino. Clock starts about 10 seconds for the referee calls for it.

Niebla takes control early, working over Titan's right arm. Titan escape, Niebla Roja hiptosses him. Crowd not very into their chain wrestling. Titan kicks Niebla, Niebla kicks Titan, Titan catches it and puts him in an odd kneeling Gori Special. Titan stands it up and hooks the legs and arms, then slides Niebla over for a pin. One two Niebla shoulder up. One two other shoulder up. One, Niebla Roja bridges up and over for a sunset flip and two. Faceoff. Wow, they've even got an ad on the clock now. They don't miss a thing. Niebla Roja pins Titan's arm down by his knee and blocks him from kipping up, so titan has turn and takedown. They're still doing hold for hold at four minutes in, but that's apparently the cue to speed it up. Titan misses a dropkick, gets caught sliding thru Niebla Roja's legs, Niebla lifts him up and throws him over for a back suplex, Titan lands on his feet, Niebla Rojo misses the back elbow, waves Titan by, leapfrog, Titan hand walk over, backflip into the headscissors. Crowd not reacting much, even to that. Titan seems a bit frustrated. Titan leaps for a hipblock at Niebla Roja, who catches him, then throws him in the corner. Boot choke. Titan gets get feet up on a charge, but Niebla Roja lifts him up on his shoulders. Titan reverses it to a big headscissors. There's a few people chanting for Titan off, but more people booting. Titan misses a corner charge, Niebla Roja charges, Titan lift him on his shoulders, Niebla gets to his feet and grabs Titan, then throws him chest first into the buckle. Niebla Rojo can't quite get Titan up like he'd like, so he just ends up doing the same bit again. Niebla brings Titan out, and does the chest ram into the barricade. Maybe that's who he was panning all along. Niebla Roja take the stairs back in the ring. Roja poses while titan recovers and rolls in. Under four minutes left. Whip, flapjack kick. One two NO. Titan generally rammed into a corner. Niebla Roja needs to work on his open hand slap. Titan blocks Niebla’s punch, snaps his neck over the top rope, handstands on the apron, pulls himself up on Niebla Roja's shoulders, and turns around into 'rana, one two NO. That was a very Titan sequence. Niebla Roja walks over to Titan, Titan puts him on the top rope and slaps him. Titan backs all the way up, rolls towards, and Niebla Roja cuts him off with a missile dropkick one two NO. Niebla Roja grabs Titan by his mask. Whip, reversed, Niebla has the mask, Titan charges, Niebla blocks the slap and slaps him. Niebla Roja tries to post him, but Titan pulls off the stunner over the ropes. Headstanding rope flip moonsault – misses, without Niebla Roja even moving. Uh oh. Niebla Roja just gets up and puts titan in a scorpion. Roja lets go before titan gets the ropes. Niebla Roja with the double underhook cristo slam, but two. Both guys get up, but that's time.

This time, they rate the guys at the same time. Miguel liked Titan's moves, and thought Niebla Roja needed to be more of a rudo. Máximo is still talking about bodies, but would like to see more energy from both. Negro says they needed to get the crowd more into the match. Tirantes just cuts a promo on both sand say they weren't any good.

Scores for Niebla Roja: 6/4/5/4, 19.
Scores for Titan: 6/5/4/3. 18.
