03/21-23 lucha times

box.

== AAA ==

AAA-Televisa: Part 1 of Rey de Reyes! I have no idea what that means. I’m guessing the cage and Jarrett match on this show and the Rey de Reyes final on the other show, but I don’t really know.

== CMLL ==

FOX: Parajes Increíbles, Block B. 3 pm start time, which means the last half hour here overlaps the first half hour of AAA (which means we’ll probably not get the first half hour of AAA.)

52MX: Volador vs Ripper, maybe the tag title match from Guadalajara

C3: Peste Negra versus Atlantida, in a continuing action. Hechicero alert!

TVC Deportes (Puebla): Bufete del Amor vs Shocker/UG/Euforia. Hechicero on this show too, provided I find out what time it’s on (currently a mystery!) and record at the start this week.

Lucha Azteca: Parajes Increibles, Block A.

Terra Friday: NO ONE KNOWS. Terra published a couple of videos previewing the show they may be airing. Assume the top 4 until told otherwise, but it’s a bit late in the day to be telling people. Whatever benefit Terra would get from airing the whole show is muted by not announcing what they’re doing. This also seems likely a purposeful decision to be confusing, a FANtastic decision.

Terra Sunday: Averno, Polvora, Rey Escorpion vs Azul, Marco and Maximo, plus Virus vs Sagrado in lightning match action.

== Other ==

IWRG-AYM Sports: Maybe the cage match show, maybe the Wednesday show? No episodes have aired this week on AYM.

Noches de Coliseo: ???? Maybe the missing tag team tournament matches?

IWRG debut for Broken Clown. Straight falls. Dave fouled Veneno in the first, beat by Veneno in the second.
5) Apolo Estrada Jr., Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo b Máscara Púrpura, Relámpago, Súper Nova
Gringos took 2/3, Avisman pulling Mascara Purpura’s mask and beating him. Tecnicos demanded revenge and a title match.

This week’s Wrestling Observer says the tentative plan is to start taping the AAA El Rey show in August with the show itself getting on air. The report very definitive only in those dates not being for certain, only the current plan. Nothing is for sure until El Rey announces a date, and even then it’s still flexible.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Daga feels he should go for a second championship, doesn’t hit women, but made an exception for the unruly Faby Apache.

Titan & Triton visited a small child.

Anibal Jr. & Cosmos Negro won Copa Saeta Azul, a tournament honoring his father.

CMLL (TUE) 03/25/2014 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara

I don’t know how that opener works, but that could be a crazy match.

Estrellita keeps the title, Peste Negra win, Rey on his future, Sin Cara

CMLL (TUE) 03/18/2014 Arena México [CMLL, Yahoo! Deportes]
1) Akuma & Cholo b Bengala & Flyer
2) Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pierrothito b Angelito, Astral, Stukita
3) Canelo Casas, Hechicero, Puma b Dragon Lee, Pegasso, Star Jr.
4) Tritón b Sangre Azteca [lightning]
5) Diamante Azul, Fuego, Rey Cometa b Boby Zavala, Misterioso Jr., Pólvora
Tecnicos took 2/3, the second by an excessive violence DQ.
6) Cavernario, Felino, Mr. Niebla b Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., La Máscara
Peste Negra took 1/3.

Not any details about Canelo/Dragon Lee, unsure if that feud is still going. They’re both in the En Busca de un Idolo qualification cibernetico next week, hopefully will double pin each other right away.

There’s absolutely no way it’s going to air live, but live results for that cibernetico would be incredibly exciting for CMLL fanatics. It’s a rare match which means a tremendous amount.

CMLL (TUE) 03/18/2014 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl, Informador]
1) Demonio Maya b Virgo
2) Cancerbero & Raziel b Black Metal & Esfinge

5) Atlantis, La Sombra, Super Porky b Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero
Tecnicos took 2/3.
6) Shocker & Terrible DQ Marco Corleone & Rush
Rudos took 1/3. Rush fouled Shocker for the DQ.

I’m 0-1 on CMLL guesses this week. A poor sign!

CMLL.com was down this morning due to the domain expiring. (It actually looks like it expired Monday, but it stayed up a couple days.) It’s renewed thru 2017 and they sprung for domain privacy!

The Friday show now lists Blue Panther as replacing Thunder on Friday’s card. Thunder still hasn’t been seen in a match since getting hurt on February 10th and it’s possible he just didn’t get cleared in time.

Still no word on Homenaje Dos Leyendas airing on Terra. I think now by far most likely outcome is they just air the first four matches like normal. I have a slight concern that they haven’t announced anything from Friday because CMLL doesn’t want them airing the show on Friday, but I think it’s probably just business a usual.

Rey Misterio Jr., in Spain doing press for WWE, said he plans to retire in WWE and does not see himself going back to AAA. So that’s that.

Sin Cara is listed as wrestling in Sinaloa on 04/23. This time, it’s with the Invasors (instead of AAA.)

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

LuchaMania recaps Dulce Kanela losing his hair to Lady Maravilla.

Charly Guerrero lost his hair to Gigante Warrior in San Luis Potosi.

Villanos and Traumas are on the Arena Coliseo Monterrey show this weekend. Also, more of that tag team tournament. Everyone who was in the first block of the tournament was either eliminated in matches last Sunday (no tag tournament matches had been announced), or were just forgot, or someone just wasn’t clear in labeling this week’s match as determining the finalists. Big Neurosis has gone from teaming with Simbolo to teaming with one of the guys he beat, Silenicoso. This is all status quo; the surprising thing would be if these belts were actually defended a couple times.

Atlantis & Maximo defeated Rush & Volador in Acapulco. Match had been announced as Mascara Dorada & Mistico versus La Mascara & Volador, so 1 for 4. (Mistico was doubled booked in Neza, Volador made it here after wrestling in Arena Mexico.) Brazo de Oro, Robin and Black Silver Sr. won a trios tournament in the undercard.

Karma, who’s wrestling in the ChilangaMask segunda this Sunday, says he’s aiming for Psico Kid’s mask. Karma is a Negro Navarro trainee currently.

The Shocker hair match victims interviews are good just for the look Shocker gives Scorpio Jr.

Dalys says she wants the championship after the hair match, no matter the outcome.

Lineup

IWRG (SUN) 03/23/2014 Arena Naucalpan
1) Látigo & Sky Ángel vs Matrix Jr. & Power Bull
2) Emperador Azteca & Hip Hop Man vs Fulgor II & Imposible
3) Black Terry, Centvrión, Dr. Cerebro vs Rayan, Spartan, Tony Rivera
4) Relámpago, Súper Nova, Veneno vs Danny Casas, Oficial 911, Oficial AK47
5) Hijo De Dos Caras, Máscara Púrpura, Toscano vs Canis Lupus, Trauma I, Trauma II

Tony and Terry feud in the tercera.

CMLL (MON) 03/24/2014 Arena Puebla
1) Black Tiger, Star Jr., Tigre Rojo vs Espiritu Negro, King Jaguar, Siki Ozama Jr.
2) Astral, Asturiano, Eléctrico vs Blue Center, Espíritu Maligno, Saurón
3) Stuka Jr. vs Virus [lightning]
4) Black Panther, Blue Panther, Cachorro vs Felino, Puma, Tiger
5) Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja vs Kráneo, Morphosis, Ripper
6) Volador Jr. vs Mephisto

Main event is a non-title match (which makes more sense than a light heavyweight challenging for a welterweight title or vice versa.) I give the Guerreros a slight advantage over the Invasors. 3/4 should be good too, this is a good card.
