So when we all said TripleMania will sell out with after Perro vs Cibernetico was announced, little did we know that was all they were going to do. It’s still going to work. They still got two months to do something.

LA Park is an unpredictable man. Or he just likes punching Mesias.

This is the first time the Secta have teamed together in an atomicos match since 2010, when they squashed the Vipers out of existence.

[spoiler]As mentioned, the Alan Stone & Elegido & Toscano group is the Gran Sorpresa. Urban Dictionary, a source you can trust, defines Mirreyes as “high-class, modern, young males.” The list I had seen also had Angelico in the group.[/spoiler]

Welcome back Aerostar! It’s going to end badly for you but do a dive first.

Rey Celestial is the minis QPPLC winner making his debut. That just leaves Saturno, the men’s division winner.

Next taping is 04/20 in Veracruz.

recap

taped 2013-03-01 @ Arena Mexico

Averno strong

This was the first half of the (Mexico City) Parejas Increible Tournament. There’s no point in reviewing the individual matches. There’s not much point in watching the matches, really. La Sombra & Volador Jr. vs Guerrero Maya Jr. & Negro Casas match symbolized all that is pointless about this tournament; whichever guy worked the battle royal likely worked longer there than in this match. The tag rules which have been strictly enforced (at times) were also completely ignored so everyone could rush in as many spots in the little time they had. It’s not an appealing product this way, just random moves and pin breakups, a numbing lightning tag match.

The one match which got a decent amount of time and made something of it was Averno & La Máscara vs La Sombra & Volador Jr.: They squeezed a lot of action in just about 7 minutes. La Mascara working rudo was interesting, and Sombra’s refusal to be even slightly friendly with Volador at any moment was a nice touch. More big moves, separate battles and frantic breaks up than usually done in these matches.

IWRG (SUN) 03/31/2013 Arena Naucalpan [IWRG, LAS (TV)]
1) Eita & Tomahawk b Ángel Del Amor & Seiya
Straight falls.
2) Centvrión b Carta Brava Jr., Mr. Leo, Fulgore, Power Bull [IWRG IC MIDDLE, #1 Contenders]
five match fighters. Centvrion beat Fulgore, gets a shot at El Angel.
3) Dinamic Black, Dr. Cerebro, Veneno b Black Terry, el Ángel, Scorpio Jr.
4) Cien Caras Jr., Danny Casas, Heavy Metal, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 b Eterno, Trauma I, Trauma II, X-Fly [seeding battle royal]
four way team brawl, setting up the next matches.
5) Trauma I & Trauma II b Eterno & X-Fly [semifinal]
Trauma I’s knee injury came back here, but the Traumas advanced after an Eterno/X-Fly screw up.
6) Cien Caras Jr. & Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 b Danny Casas & Heavy Metal [semifinal]
Cien Caras Jr. used a distraction and a foul to beat Heavy Metal. Metal and the Dinamitas made challenges post match.
7) Cien Caras Jr. & Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 b Trauma I & Trauma II [final]
Short match, with Trauma I unable to do much due to the knee and was ruled unable to compete. Dinamitas beat Trauma II, and challenged Trauma I and Negro Navarro to a title match next week.

Still no full results from the DTU shows in Tulancingo or Mexico City. There doesn’t appear to be any title changes; Flamita is still the Alto Impacto champion and AR Fox beat him to keep the CZW TV title. (Black Terry Jr. will have that match for sale.)

Tribal unmasked himself as AAA’s Jinzo on the DF show. This had not been a well kept secret and was going to eventually happen as soon as he tried out for QPPLC under the unmasked identity (though I don’t know if it was actually planned then.) DTU also is promoting CIMA (and Eita and Tomahawk) for shows the weekend of 04/13 & 04/14, which is a quick turnaround to come back for more DTU shows. I’d assume CIMA is just hanging around for a moment after the WrestleMania weekend Dragon Gate shows; he’s not on any DG cards after April 4th.

I’m told AAA’s Gran Sorpresa in Leon is [spoiler]not something to do with the roster split, but simply the debut of the new Toscano group as teased in the skits that have been airing (last weekend with Elegido & Alan Stone, where they said they’d have no leader but it’s just easier to call it the Toscano group.) There’s one more guy listed in the group – not Latin Lover or Intocable – and would a fit for the group’s image. AAA has historically had guys doing the pretty boy gimmick, but it’s been a while since they’ve had a group of them who weren’t doing it as comedy.

I think this is something that people who read these sites wouldn’t even realize was supposed to be a surprise, but since those vignettes have only been airing on the UTDN shows so far, it may be one to most.[/spoiler]

Arena Coliseo Monterry’s main event ended with no particular finish. Lots of subs on that card. Atlantis, Blue Panther, Super Porky and Maximo are headed here on the 14th.

AAA interviews Drago tonight. Ask him about his favorite kind of battery!
