recap

taped 2013-01-18 @ Gimnasio Agustín Millán, Toluca

Dinastia is never done flipping

The pink coloring I did here has to be the most annoying of any way to distinguish which stuff was added on. I shouldn’t do that again.

Machine Rocker crushes Escoria

Dinastía & Octagoncito vs Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Charly Manson: most of the minis matches have been pushing a particular rivalry and keeping guys matched up based on that rivalry, but this one was more all of the guys versus all the guys and better for it. The some of Mini Abismo vs Dinastia we got looked promising, hope to get more of that. Abismo’s seemed physically okay, though maybe his timing was off (or maybe Octagoncito was off instead, since it seemed to happen with him.) Mini Abismo will probably be having better matches as he’s around more, but this one was good. Extra credit for making something out of the finish (Dinastía beating first champ!) in the post match interview.

wrong way Octagon

Cuervo, Escoria, Espíritu vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker: much sloppier than I’d expect from these two teams – guys were taking and giving moves in ugly fashion. Painful fashion in a couple places. Why DID the music play if Uro Rocker wasn’t walking out? Do the Rockers just get their music to play whenever they want? (I think the Secta can afford a clean loss, they’ve had so many already.) Escoria looks like a guy who’s been spending a lot of time with Cibernético.

interesting sell of an enziguri

Drago, Fénix, Octagón vs Daga, Pentagón Jr., Silver King: Octagon wrestled as if he was in no condition to perform. The match would’ve been better with someone else, or if Octagon was just beaten up and laid in the aisle for 15 minutes. There was a good match here with the other guys, and it probably would’ve been really good had Octagon Jr. been around instead since Silver King was definitely game, but it’s hard to rate this match too positively when there’s a guy wandering and forgetting spots in the midst. This was good and embarrassing at the same time. It’s always surprising to see what’s left in and taken out; Fenix took some nice rudo offense and that was left out, but some of Octagon’s escpades were left in.
