Day: October 3, 2012
Estrellita challenges Blanca, Polvora fouls Titan
CMLL (TUE) 10/02/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLL, Kaiser Sports]
1) Cholo & Inquisidor b Freesbe & Robin
2) Cancerbero, Raziel, Taurus b Molotov, Pegasso, Soberano Jr.
Rudso took 2/3.
3) Estrellita, Goya Kong, Marcela b Amapola, La Comandante, Princesa Blanca
Estrellita cut her hand in the match (and had it bandaged also during the match), but still beat Blanca again. She challenged for a title match, but Blanca just walked out.
4) Niebla Roja b Stuka Jr. [lightning]
Niebla Roja won in 5:43 with his toss and kick to the midsection.
5) Blue Panther, Diamante, Hijo del Fantasma b Mephisto, Puma King, Vangelis
Tecnicos took 1/3.
6) Diamante Azul, Shocker, Super Porky DQ Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Volador Jr.
Tecnicos took 2/3. Volador fouled Shocker.
Filmmaker Tim Burton was in the crowd for part of the show. Tuesday really is the tourist show.

Estrellita cut her hand and turned her ankle in the match, but it doesn’t sound like she’ll miss any time.
CMLL (TUE) 10/02/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Magnum b Virgo
2) Bárbaro Cavernario & Ráfaga b Esfinge & Metatrón
3) Astral, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito b Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pierrothito
Fantasy pulled Mercurio’s mask and rolled him up.
4) Kráneo, Mr. Águila, Olímpico b Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Valiente
Mr. Aguila snuck in a foul on Valiente, setting up a match for next week.
5) Atlantis, Mistico, Titán DQ Averno, Pólvora, Último Guerrero
Tecnicso took 2/3, Polvora angrily pulling off Titan’s mask for the DQ.
A CMLL filled show in Cuernavaca looks to have done well. The recap mentions Mistico was looking very beat up backstage, but did his best in the ring and signed autographs for everyone.

LuchaWorld has a recap of the first En Busca de un Idolo show and KrisZ’s news update.

Lineups
Angel Azteca Jr. is listed as taking Metalico’s place next Sunday.
IWRG (SUN) 10/07/2012 Arena Naucalpan
1) La Parkita & Voladorcito vs Bracito De Plata & Mr. Aguilita
2) Centvrión, Freelance, Gipsy vs Alan Extreme, Imposible, Sádica
3) Eterno vs Rayan [IWRG IC WELTER]
Eterno is champion.
4) Freyser, Pirata Morgan, Tony Rivera vs Cien Caras Jr., Heddi Karaoui, Zumbido
5) Veneno vs Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Oficial AK47, Factor, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, el Ángel, Violencia Jr., Carta Brava Jr. I, Carta Brava Jr., Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. [cage, IWRG IC MIDDLE, IWRG Rey del Ring, hair, mask, IWRG JUNIORS]
The last person in loses their title (to the second to last person to leave?) Oficial AK47 is defending his middleweight title. Factor is putting a belt on the line, but it’s unclear which one (Rey del Ring or IWRG Juniors) or both, Veneno puts his hair on the line, and the rest put their mask on the line.
Mascara Sagrada is the biggest (in so many ways) name to be off the lineup with the changes. Whenever belts and masks are both on the line in IWRG, belts are changing hands. Still, Angel had the look of a guy who was back for one last run…
AYM really should interview Eterno & Rayan during the pre-game/opener segment, interview the cage match guys while they are setting up the cage, and no more than that. If you have to talk to the semimain guys, tape them and air them during the entrances, don’t make the breaks between matches even longer.
Or maybe they should just air Rayan weighing in for his title match while the opener is going. None of the Comando Elite seem welterweight-ish.
CMLL (TUE) 10/09/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino vs Thunder Boy
2) Èvola & Infierno vs Demonio Maya & Ráfaga
3) Dark Angel vs Marcela, Luna Mágica, Dalis la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Lady Apache, Tiffany, Princesa Sugheit, Zeuxis, La Comandante [cibernetico]
4) Valiente vs Mr. Águila
5) Atlantis, Mistico, Titán vs Averno, Pólvora, Último Guerrero
Looks like Titan/Polvora is happening in a week or two.
Valiente & Mr. Aguila could be a lot of fun.
Dark Angel was still in Japan on last Facebook update, but maybe she’ll be back for this one. They technically have enough people to run another women’s trios in Arena Mexico (Princesa Blanca, Amapola, Seductora vs Afrodita, Estrellita, and Silueta) but it really sounded like they were planning on the title match next week before Estrellita got stitches.
While I’m thinking about it: it’s fine we’re obsessing over Dark Angel’s status with CMLL, there are far worse people to obsess over, but at least she’s working somewhere if it’s not here. Silueta has been back in Mexico for weeks, hasn’t turned on a show, and will pleasantly tell you she doesn’t know when she’s working next if you ask her on Twitter. There doesn’t seem to be any scandal or issue with CMLL, but it’s peculiar. (Zeuxis also hasn’t been used a lot, which makes me wonder if it’s something REINA related, but I don’t even know about that.) Even if she wasn’t better than half the people who seem to work in every Tuesday luchadora match, the whole CMLL booking structure is to make sure everyone gets a certain amount of work. It’s odd that a certain amount has been ‘none’.
