recap

Inqusidor at work

Freesbe & Robin vs Apocalipsis & Inquisidor: Among the worst matches in this promotion this year. It’s hard to think of worse ones. Inquisidor was remarkable bad, capping off a bad day by blowing his own finish, but the rest of the crew was not far behind him. This match was far below the standards of the promotion and this recap could just be gif after gif of botched spots.

Shockercito has a power in his tope

Fantasy, Niño de Acero, Shockercito vs Mercurio, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Violencia: an okay minis match, helped by following the prior match. Shockercito didn’t skip a beat, despite being not around for months. He even looked good with Universo! Niño de Acero was off a few different times and seemed like the worst guy here. Finish came out of nowhere and made no particular sense.

Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Nitro, Skándalo 2: much like a boring Tuareg match, not much like a good Cancerbero match. This is definitely a match that would charitable labeled “cold” if broadcast on Terra.com! There was no flow to the action, just a lot of meandering and occasional good ideas lost in a sea of meh action. It felt like they decided to call the match in the ring (which also might explain why it went so long) but still didn’t get enough worked out; it wasn’t like there were two different plans that didn’t mesh, there was just no plan and a lot of parts of matches but nothing guiding it along.

Vangelis makes his escape!

Delta, Diamante, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Namajague, Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis: this one could’ve used the time of some of the other matches. It’s nice to get a countout to mix it up, but these guys were going along well enough that we missed out on a couple minutes of normal finishes. Delta & Diamante can swing the match either way with their performances, and they looked on today. Nothing that needs to be seen but a great improvement over the previous matches on this show.

don’t trust Averno!

Diamante Azul, Titán, Valiente vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto: Another really fun match, better than the semimain and the one match definitely worth checking out. The two teams meshed really well and Titan fit in as well as he has on this level. Averno was really hamming it up, but not to the point where it was bad. Diamante Azul appeared to either forget what his finish was, or lose Ephesto in trying his Escuedo, but otherwise was fine. Not enough shows end with Valiente pinning someone in the center of the ring, so that was really cool see.
