Sangre Azteca angry in Guadalajara, AAA march, Mistico

CMLL (TUE) 07/31/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) El Hippie & Thunder Boy b Azteca de Oro & El Divino
2) Èvola & Sádico b Javier Cruz Jr. & Virgo
Fans were behind the rudos.
3) Black Metal, Gallo, Leo, Sky Kid, Smaker DQ Artillero, Olímpico, Pólvora, Sangre Azteca, Súper Comando [cibernetico]
DF vs GDL ciberentico. Came down to Smaker and Sangre Azteca. Azteca fouled and ripped off Smaker’s mask for the DQ.
4) La Sombra b Mephisto [lightning]
said to be a very good match.
5) Euforia & Último Guerrero b Marco Corleone & Máximo
Rudos won clean.

Sangre Azteca ranted after the match, declaring it’s been proven that Guadalajara’s Chivas, tequila and luchadors are all no good. He’s back here next Tuesday, teaming with Raziel & Polvora against Black Metal, Leo and Smaker.

AAA held a parade/march, and a mass, to celebrate 20 years of TripleMania and promote this one. There are all sorts of fun photos from the day. MedioTiempo has a photo gallery. The Gladiatores has a lot of photos of the Perros. Proyeccion Luchistica has some nice higher res ones. Estrellas del Ring seems to be the only one to get the full shot (on an elevated platform?), where Fabi and (I think) Billy are visible. EuroNews has video of the event, focusing on the mass.

It’s not the complete roster. Chessman, and Gronda (who still exists!) are visible in other photos of the day but I can’t find them in the big group shot at the end. I also can’t find Ozz, Cuervo or Escoria in any photo (though Espiritu is on the extreme left on the group photos, where they get him into the picture.) The Devil Rockers are around, and Semental and other people suspected of having transformed into Devil Rockers are not around, so just because a guy like Super Fly isn’t there doesn’t necessarily mean he’s out of AAA. And there’s some people I don’t quite recognize (see the numbers.)

On the other hand, CMLL/REINA luchadora Dama de Hierro is probably long out of CMLL if she’s appearing in mask in all these photos. They seem to have given the rudos a black hoodie and the tecnicos a white one, though the Psycho Circus are in black and Gran Apache is in white.

Crazy Boy was among those there, with the DTU Facebook saying their founder would be returning soon. Estrellas del Ring talks to Octagon and Dorian Roldan about 20 years of AAA.

Mistico did an autograph signing on Wednesday, an amazing trick for someone who hasn’t debuted yet. Kaiser Sports has a lot of quotes from the press session. Mistico’s goal is to be at the top in six months. (This varies ever so slightly for what I predicted for him in six months yesterday.) Mistico plans on doing the “best and most daring” sets, and is only preparing to win. He really should only need to prepare for that outcome for a while. Mistico wants to rise to face guys the level of Volador, Warrior, Ultimo and Niebla to face them after they’ve had stuff to say about him, but first he must take care of people on his level. In particular, he has not forgotten Niebla Roja unmasking him in his last match as Dragon Lee and wants to avenge that. In what is probably a joke, the interview says Mistico his fans are calling themselves “#yosoy134”, a reference to the #yosoy132 protest group (and the #yosoy133 anti-protest group.) If this Mistico beats the odds and succeeds, it’ll be due to incredible manipulation of the fans thru a show on Televisa, so maybe he’s best just staying away from that whole idea.
