Match 1: Pegasso vs Raziel in a lightning match
Arena Coliseo, 07/08/2012

Winner: Pegasso
Match Time: 6:43
Rating: very bad
Notes: This is a time limit match, where the time is not displayed anywhere. Which is actually how they do it in the US all the time, now that I stop to think about it. Still seems silly, since the only time the referees notice the time is when they look at the lock. Ref is Pompin.

Brief mat wrestling including Raziel doing a neat bridging submission. Pegasso jumping snap mores him away, then sort of ducks under a clothesline but falls down anyway. Alsas! Things approve with a backspin headscissors, setting up a Pegasso tope con giro to the floor. Raziel has to wander around on the floor a while for Pegasso to climb up for his dive. That's one of those things much better on TV than live, since they can hide Raziel a bit better. Pegasos fights Raziel off coming in and lands a plancha. Pegasso does a running tope con giro to set up a Raziel inverted powerslam, I guess, but it looked really weird and like they were on two different planets. Two counts. Raziel double underhook backbreaker. Raziel clotheslines Pegasso in the back in the corner, hangs him in the tree of woe, then adds a dropkick to the face. A long way to go for a dropkick to the face. Two count. Inverted figure four is put on oddly. This hold lasts much longer than you'd expect, Pegasso not moving for a while then getting the bottom rope. Raziel kicks him as he gets up. Whip, reversed, anyway, evasion, torito, one two NO. Pegasso off the ropes, 'rana blocked into a sit down powerbomb one two no. Both up at the same time, Raziel clotheslines Pegasso. Ring announcer announces five minute at about 5:10. Pegasso comes back with the flipping armdrag into the double armbar, one two – three four? Pompin certainly did not think it was three, because he stopped counting, waited for something to happen, and then decided to pretend a kickout had happened and counted started to count one two three. Luchadors just stopped after one. That was not good. This all was not good.

Announcers are confused. Wrestlers are confused. Pegasso starts to celebrate. Raziel gets up, looks at Pegasso, and grabs him. WHAT, THIS IS STILL GOING. Pegasso off the ropes, 'rana one two Raziel rolls thru one two no. Crowd is dead. I am beside myself. GO HOME. Raziel corner clotheslines Pegasso, small package (what) one two NO. Pegasso waving for support. I am too. Suplex, bad Pegasso reversal into a small package one two three. I would callthe reaction “minimal”.

Match 2: Ángel de Oro, Delta, Hijo del Fantasma © vs Averno ©, Ephesto, Mephisto
Arena Coliseo, 07/08/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:44
Rating: eh
Notes: Angel de Oro & Hijo del Fantasma are wearing matching orange outfits. A bizarre color to match on accident, so maybe they know something the rest of us haven't been told yet. Angel de Oro drops his robe on the ramp, but someone scoops it up before Fantasma slips on it. Averno come out generally together. Averno is far behind because he must walk slow. Ref is Tigre Hispano.

1: Pairs are Delta/Ephesto, Angel de Oro/Mephisto, Fantasma/Averno

Middle pair are very fast, and lead right into the last pair. Fantasma gets Averno with a sunset flip roll thru dropkick, a rolling dropkick and a tope where the técnicos feet get caught in the ropes and he ends up just throwing the rudos. Boot dropkick by the técnicos goes bad, and the rudos in the ring take them directly in other finishes for the fall.

2: rudos trap Fantasma in the ring, not letting him roll out after a rebound double hiptoss, but pulling him up before the three count. Averno antagonizes the rudos. Fantasma tags Delta, but the tag isn't legal for reasons Delta doesn't understand. And then they do the same spot again, and again Delta is confused. Entertaining! Rudos kick and refuse to beat Fantasma some more. This may be playing on the Mephisto/Fantasma feud, but probably isn't. Ephesto works in a headstand kneedrop. Fantasma tags in Delta, which this time is legal for reasons which aren't made clear. Meanwhile, Angel de Oro is standing on the floor, making gestures about his abs presumably to some fan. That's a man interested in his match. Averno cheap shots Delta so the rudo can stay in control, and the rudos don’t pull up Delta on pins. Delta is able to a tag in Angel de Oro when Oro appears to be doing the same thing Delta was, which is far more interesting than the match. Averno and Mephisto quickly give him a double spinebuster and a double boot. Fantasma back in, and Averno stops him via testicular claw, then pleads innocent. Fantasma comes back on a corner whip, including a superkick that barely gets up. Delta & Angel de Oro moonsault to the floor in the best spot of the match by far. Back inside, Averno and Fantasma evade, Fantasma ducks a clothesline, and German suplexes Averno for the pin.

3: Angel de Oro looks good in his showcase run with Averno & Mephisto, sending Averno retreating to the last row. Fantasma and Ephesto have a trouble with a hiptoss. Fantasma monkey flips Mephisto around, then headscissors Averno out. Averno gets the better of Delta with a back elbow and stands on his neck, then Delta headscissors him out. Ephesto feeds himself for Delta's rope bounce armdrag, then Delta topes him on the outside. Oro flips Mephisto to the apron, Delta pulls him off, Angel de Oro goes for a tope, and the announcers know Oro is going to tope Delta by mistake far in advance. Averno and Fantasma are left in, but when Fantasma goes for the German suplex this time, Mephisto is into break it up (and Ephesto was in way too soon.) Triple powerbomb, other rudos bail out, Averno stands and pins, and that's the match.

Místico, La Nueva Era video – this one looks like it could be his new entrance video. The mask looks to fit him better.

Match 3: Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero ©, Volador Jr. vs La Sombra ©, Máscara Dorada, Shocker
Arena Coliseo, 07/08/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:52
Rating: eh
Notes: Entrances. Zac is with Niebla, and his new furry boots. More like slippers, but whatever. Sombra interrupts Zac's dance to give him a talking to, but Niebla intercedes. Volador is in his Captain Volador outfit, complete with hoodie mask so he can show off his usual mask in the Captain America colors. Maya is ref.

1: Rudos jump the técnicos at the whistle, but are forced to settle it to one on one quickly. They make up with it with tags and cheap shots. Senton de la muerte on Sombra. UG slams Shocker, Niebla lands a top rope splash to beat him. Fall is extended by Dorada being slow to return and Niebla screwing around. Niebla kicks him and dances, in that order. Big backdrop, then tag to UG for the quick Pulpo Guerrero.

Niebla and Volador beat up their usual rivals outside the ring.

2: Rudos lay out Sombra in the ring. Volador, in an neutral corner, asks for the tag and gets it from Niebla. Maya points at the right corner. Volador pretends like he cares for a second, then just comes in anyway. Kick clothesline duck, superkick to Sombra. Maya allows the tag, and counts the two count after a discussion. Volador tires again, another kickout. Shocker tags in, and Volador just walks away and tags in Niebla. Slap fight leads to Niebla choking Shocker over the top rope for a Guerrero kick. Niebla turns to high five Volador, then turns and tags UG instead. Somehow, this starts an argument between Volador & Niebla, which the announcers pick up on before it even has it. Amazing! UG holds Hocker in an armbar, and tags in Volador to attack and kicks Shocker. Shocker falls into the técnico corner and tags in Dorada, who Volador totally ignores. Niebla slaps down Dorada from behind. Niebla dances, and pit is in Maya's direction. Niebla laves, but Volador convinces him to come back. Corner whip, eventually, Dorada spins away to escape, back the other way, Dorada spins away to escape, Volador grabs him, Niebla slaps, down goes Volador. Dorada torito armdrag has some problems. Volador slides out to chase Niebla, and shoves him. Niebla shoves him back. Volador tells him to bring it back inside. Niebla takes his time. He comes in, but Shocker's ready to fight Volador now so Niebla leaves. Volador decides he only wants to fight Niebla and leaves. Shocker spits at him and gets Volador to return. Volador slaps him in the face. Slaps to the chest. They negotiate rope running. Volador evades, kicks Shocker when his head is down too soon, clothesline misses, superkick. Volador chats with the técnico corner. Niebla comes in and chops Shocker. Shocker chops Volador. Repeat! Repeat! Repeat until Shocker tires a bad punch and misses by a mile. Volador doesn't sell it, slaps him, and shoves down Niebla. They go head to head, but Niebla (rolling and spitting) tells him to focus on Shocker. They co back the other way, Volador slapping Shocker and Shocker slapping Niebla repeatedly. Niebla is shook up, but blocks one, and slaps Volador in the head. Shoving, slapping by the rudos. UG breaks them up – and Shocker cradles him for three. That was not a legal tag!

Volador walks away from the ring.

3: Volador and Niebla argue on the outside, while UG fights Shocker inside. Niebla is back on the apron when they return, Shocker slow behind. Sombra headscissors UG out, but Niebla takes off his head with a clothesline. Spit is caught. Sombra kicks Niebla away on a corner charge and headscissors him out. Volador in, and Sombre oles him on a handshake. Rope running doesn’t last long, and Volador is quickly out with a headscissors. Sombra slides thru the ropes to chase Volador, but Volador retreats pretty quick. Guerrero spins out Dorada with a shoulderblock. Corner charge, UG takes the knee bump out, Dorada huge tope con giro to the floor. Sombra planchas Volador, Niebla grabs Sombra, Volador superkicks his ally by mistake, Sombra sunset flip, Volador reverses, Niebla slaps him not at all on accident, Sombra rolls up Volador one two three. Shocker waits for those two to get done before approaching Niebla, and immediately finishes him with the Dos Caras Clutch for another pin.

Niebla and Volador immediately slap each other, with Shocker rooting them on. They cool down on their own, disappointing Shocker. Mascara Dorada and Ultimo Guerrero just left right after their dive. Zacarias gets in the center of the ring, and Volador kicks him down. Niebla sticks up for Volador, but doesn’t attack. Mr. Niebla gets the microphone, yells and spit at Volador. Niebla tells Volador to respect him. Volador respects him by stomping Zacarias once more, and the brawl is on. It's a pretty out of control one, with Volador backing off in the end and Maya getting in between.
