LyC (SUN) 06/03/2012 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [LuchaMania Monterrey]
1) Chamaco Gurrola, Demencia, Misionero b Black Fenix, Rey Orion, Xtreme Boy
2) Gemelo Muerte I & Gemelo Muerte II b Golden Boy & Rey Demonio Jr.
3) Angel Dorado Jr. & Silencioso b Bengali & Monje Negro Jr.
Before the match, Potro Jr. and Difunto ran in as invaders from Arena Solidaridad, attacking the tecnicos. Security removed them. Rey Hechicero then appeared, repeating his speech about Arena Coliseo Monterrey having poor wrestling from the Monterrey indy show last week. Rico Rodriguez, who faced Rey Hechicero in a match earlier that day based on that speech last week attacked him, and Roberto Figueroa brought security to throw out Hechicero.
4) Emma Huevo NC Sexy Star
Emma Huevo is from the Noches de Futbol show. Match took place in a kiddie pool of whipped cream or something. Rey Hechicero may not be a rudo in this feud. Gemelo Muertes and Pierko el Boricua (!?!?) ran in to attack Emma. Match did not have an official finish but Emma took the worst of it. Konnan el Barbaro then appear to declare all of this was awful and he was sick of people like Emma, Simbolo, Neuroris and Konnan Big.
5) Head Hunter, Pierko el Boricua, Rico Rodriguez b Big Neurosis, Hijo del Ninja, Simbolo
Hijo del Ninja turned on his partners, and allied with Konnan el Barbaro.
Just to sum this up: the big feud is the Llaves y Canados/Noches de Futbol troop of goofballs who love celebrity/gimmick wrestling (Konnan Big) as tecnicos against evil Konnan el Barbaro, Hijo del Ninja, the Solidaridad invaders and the forces who want lucha libre to be taken seriously. Do not ask me to define who’s exactly on which side – I’m pretty sure the Gemelos are on Noches de Fubtol but seemed to be on the rudo side here, so it’s hard to say.
Anyway, spinning out of all of this, Konnan Big and Hijo del Ninja signed a contract on Noches de Coliseo a coupe days later, and will face off in a hair match on June 17. That match should do well, though this show didn’t seem to do especially so. The floor seats look full, but the bleachers looked closed off.
CMLL (TUE) 06/05/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Sky Kid b Virgo
2) Black Metal & Metatrón b Infierno & Malefico
3) Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pequeño Nitro b Astral, Azteca de Oro, Último Dragoncito
Azteca de Oro replaced Bam Bam
4) Misterioso Jr., Pólvora, Virus b Gallo, Stuka Jr., Valiente
Misterioso pinned Gallo twice.
5) Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Máximo DQ Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Águila, Último Guerrero
UG fouled Marco in the third fall, so Maximo pulled UG and Dragon Rojo’s masks. Ref Edgar only saw the mask pull and DQed the tecnicos.
That reads like the set up to a tag title match on 06/19.
On yesterday’s Figure Four Daily, Dr. Lucha Steve Sims said he was told by a A Deep Reliable Source In AAA Who Is Not Konnan that the promotion had changed or was about to change bookers. Moody Jack Melendez had held the role, but Miguel Fonseca (who’s visible doing media work for the company for a long time) will take over. The booker is head of a committee, and the rest of the committee is not changing, so Konnan and others will still have a voice. It’s unknown why the switch was made. It’s unknown when the switch was made, though Steve speculated it may have happened around the 05/19 based on the booking on that show. It’s unlikely we’d see a big change at TripleMania, since most of the major matches have long been determined for the show.
Steve also said he believes AAA will actually be bringing in Kurt Angle for TripleMania.
Arissma explains he went to the ring on Monday intending to be professional, but his Puebla tecnico partners were not even close to his level and he just got tired of them dragging him down. Arissma resents Stigma for leaving him behind in the cage match. (That sounds like a possible mask/hair match down the road.)
Sexy Lady says she was nervous all week leading up to her AAA debut, but appreciates the confidence the company hand in here and feels she got off to a good start with a win. Lady says she’s going to concentrate on her AAA work for now, and step away from the hardcore wrestling she had been doing.
Star Fire, who was training in CMLL and made a few appearances in 2009 and 2010, explains she disappeared from lucha libre because she was pregnant. Looks like her new baby is doing well, and she’s attempting a comeback.
Black Terry Jr. posted CIMA’s speech from his anniversary show at Arena Naucalpan.
Rob has a classic Gringos Locos promo.
LuchaWorld has Mr. Niebla, Solar, Psicosis II, Terrible, and Marcela AYUMI on the top 100 list, as well as KrisZ’s news report
Lucha Libre in Japan
06/07 NJPW: Kushida b Angel de Oro [BOSJ]
Angel de Oro falls to 4-4, 8 points. It’s mathematically possible for Angel de Oro to be part of a 7 way tie for 2nd place, but highly unlikely it’ll actually happen.

The IWL Internet title being on the line in the opener is a bit amusing, because that title was turned into the IWL Junior Heavyweight championship last time we saw it. That was one or two bookers ago, they may have just found an extra belt laying around. Promotion also says they’re taping TV on 06/29, though that’s the extend of what we know about that. No network.
