Title change, Konnan interfering
3) Extreme Tiger & Joe Lider b Nicho el Millionario & X-Fly [Mesas Infernales]
Perros went thru tables for the loss.
4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Chessman, D`Angelo Dinero, Gunner
Murder Clown pinned the Pope.
5) Cibernético, Electroshock, Zorro b La Parka, Octagón, Silver King
Milicia ran in late, Bizarros returned to run them off, and Cibernetico beat Parka.
6) El Mesías b AJ Styles
20 minutes. Mesias won via backcracker and top rope splash. Dorian and Konnan came to the ring (or the apron) to yell at Mesias after the match. Mesias would have to face one more man to get the title shot.
7) El Mesías b Rob Terry
Shorter match. TNA guys ran in post match. Ozz & Cuervo ran in for the save, but were beaten up. Vampiro, returning to the promotion, turned the tide. He talked and talked after the match, setting himself up as new leader of the Infermundo. Joaquin Roldan came to the ring, and he and Vampiro apologized for turning on him last time we saw Vamp.
8) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Halloween, Héctor Garza b Drago, Fenix, Jack Evans
Perros got the drop on the tecnicos, tecnicos came back with hot moves. Perro bled, thanks to Jack. Garza got the pin on Fenix, but they pushed that this feud wasn’t over.
9) LA Park b Dr. Wagner Jr. [AAA LA]
Wagner III was Wagner’s second, Octagon was LA Park’s. Prior to the match, Toscano came to the ring. He wore a CMLL shirt, was presented as a CMLL wrestler, and declared their wrestlers were better than AAA. Wagner disagreed. LA Park got into to it with Marisela again during the match. Octagon attacked Wagner, so Octagoncito ran out to get him. Park took out Copetes, and Wagner got a few pins with no one around to count. Park fouled Wagner just before another ref came in, but could not get the pin. Park took out that ref too. Park dropped Wagner with a super DDT, but no ref again. Wagner recovered, Octagon attacked him, Wagner took him out, and Park used the distraction to hit Wagner with knucks for the pin and the title. Park was joined by Toscano, Texano, and Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. as psuedo-CMLL faction. They all beat up the Wagners until the Clowns made the save.

CMLL (FRI) 12/16/2011 Arena Mexico
***Sin Piedad, 2011***
1) Demus 3:16 & Pierrothito b Eléctrico & Último Dragoncito
CMLL rudos take 2/3, Demus using his double underhook piledriver to get the win.
2) Dalis la Caribeña, Lady Apache, Marcela DQ Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit, Tiffany
New ruda act loses in straight falls, the last for attacking the ref.
3) Ephesto, Mephisto, Rey Escorpion b Ángel de Oro, Super Porky, Valiente
Super Porky replaced Mascara Dorada, who may have been hurt in GDL on Tuesday. Rudos took the first, tecnicos the second, Mephisto beat Porky to win it.
4) Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. b Olímpico, Psicosis, Volador Jr. [MEX TRIOS]
Tirantes started as ref, and broke up a Delta pin to set up Volador winning the first fall. Rambo, as commissioner, warned Tirantes. Tirantes kept cheating in the second fall, so he was kicked out. Tecnicos won the second just after Terror Chino arrived to replace him, and the third when Volador ran into the Atlantida. New champs.
5) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush b Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero
Tecnicos win a very quick two fall match.
6) Blue Panther DQ Felino [hair]
Referee is Bestia Negra; announcers noted Felino had beaten him for his hair 3 times prior. Felino took a quick first fall, Panther took the second just as quick. Blue Panther tried to martinete, but was stopped and warned by Rambo over the microphone that another try would be a DQ. Later, Felino went for the martiente, Negro ran in to stop him, and the ref DQed Felino. Crowd and Felino were very unhappy. Felino tried to talk his way out of the hair loss, but could not.

CMLL announced Hombre Bala Jr. & Super Halcon will face Rayo Tapatio I & II in a mask match on 01/01. Blue Demon Sr.’s was remembered after the 4th match.

Hijo del Santo is a loser, Oficials vs Traumas for the masks?, Vampiro returns, previews

Todo x el Todo (THU) 12/15/2011 Gimnasio Juan De La Barrera [Black Terry Jr., Estrellas del Ring, R de Rudo, The Gladiatores]
1) La Vaquerita & Ludark Shaitan b Rossy Moreno & Sexy Lady
2) Mascarita Plateada b El Lobito [WWA MINI]
Plateada kept the title.
3) Solar I DRAW El Dandy [FLLM MASTER]
Solar kept the title via draw. Dandy gave him credit but asked for a rematch.
4) Rayo de Jalisco Jr. b Cien Caras Jr. [WWA HEAVY]
Rayo took falls 1/3 to keep the title.
5) Angel Blanco Jr. b El Hijo Del Santo [WWA WELTER]
Hijo del Solitario was with Angel Blanco, and attacked Santo in the third. Reports differ on how directly that led to the Blanco win (and title change.) Blanco took 1/3. They’re still hyping a three way mask match in February.
6) Blue Demon Jr. b Villano IV [PWR HEAVY]
Demon took 2/3 to keep the title.

They really needed Blanco to win if anyone was going to take the feud seriously; that’s the only storlyline they’ve been working on here. Attendance looks improved based on the photos I’ve seen.

The mask match will be on or around February 6th, 2012. That’s Hijo del Santo’s 30th anniversary.

IWRG (THU) 12/15/2011 Arena Naucalpan [The Gladiatores]
1) Astro de Plata & Astro Rey Jr. b Pacto Negro & Súper Black
2) Alan Extreme, Carta Brava Jr., Imposible b Centurión, Dinamic Black, Tritón
Carta Brava ripped up Dinamic Black’s mask and pinned him for the win. Those two talked about a mask challenge.
3) Bugambilia del Norte, Golden Magic, Multifacético b Apolo Estrada Jr., Black Terry, Eterno
Golden Magic beat Eterno for the win. They challenged each other for their Welterweight championships.
4) Oficial 911 & Oficial AK47 b Trauma I & Trauma II
Oficials jumped the Traumas – except it was someone else in Trauma gear, and the real Traumas jumped them. Traumas are mentioned as using a knife (!!!) and a lemon squeezer (!?!?). Traumas took 1, Oficials the second. 911 & Trauma I were eliminated in the third. Trauma II dominated, but AK-47 pulled out a hold to win. Oficials were thrilled with the win and put out the mask challenge again. Traumas agreed, and they signed contracts right there and then to do it next week.
5) Canis Lupus, Head Hunter I, Hijo de Pirata Morgan b Héctor Garza, Pantera, Texano Jr.
Team Perros (and Cats) del Mal took 2/3. Canis Lupus, the sensational character find of 2011, keeps bugging Pantera for a show at the Rey del Ring title.

You can tell a year end show is coming up here,  everything is wrapping up at once.

Previews

Vampiro, last seen mentioning how he doesn’t pay attention to lucha libre nowadays and has not interest in coming back, is coming back to lucha libre tonight. Get excited! Box Y Lucha’s forum says Vampiro’s facebook says he’s going to AAA.

Dorian Roldan promised surprises for tonight’s show, and Vampiro would make sense as a surprise (though I’m not much sure he makes sense as a return.) If you listened to last night’s podcast with F4W podcast with Dr. Lucha, and he thought a CMLL person (or two) might show up tonight as well. Tercera Caida indicated Toscano might be there – I’d expect he and Texano to have some sort of presence on the show, and it’s possible one could fill in for Halloween (who was hurt at the last TV taping.)

Not convinced CMLL has done enough to draw curious fans for tonight’s show. I’m sticking with the 7,500 attendance, and feeling like I may be generous for that. It’ll be the lowest of the four major shows this year. (Porky/Maximo vs Texano/Terrible drew 10,500, and no one remembers it happened.)

AAA hasn’t run the Puebla baseball stadium for a TV taping in a long while. They drew a sell out at Gimnasio Miguel Hidalgo back in September, but that’s only a 4,000 seat building, and this baseball stadium has a capacity of 12,000. It’s a different seat configuration used for lucha libre – WWE drew 10,000 there in 2010 – so AAA could fit in a decent size crowd. I just have no feel on how they are going to do, running a big building near Mexico City after running small buildings outside of TripleMania. My hunch is they’re in the same neighborhood as CMLL, but I don’t feel strongly about the guess and could be off wildly either way. It’s a strong card, I just don’t know what a strong card means right now, and what effect these two will have on each other when they’re only really 90 minutes apart. (Guadalajara will draw 1,500)

As of 2:30 pm, I could find a single ticket at the CMLL show as close as “Section Row 2, Row 5” (the second group of rows, not the second row.) Single tickets were available in the first group of VIP rows for the AAA show. Guadalajara had third row seats available.

Still betting Panther beats Felino and the trios titles change hands, with nothing else of note in CMLL. Over in AAA, Wagner will keep his title, Mesias will earn his title shot, X-Fly goes thru the flaming table, and Jack surprisingly beats Perro yet again.

AAA’s PPV lists a start time as 7pm CT, though the website says 8pm. We’ll go with that as the start time for the chat, but I will let you know if things start earlier. CMLL show starts at 8:30, and both shows should wrap a bit after 11. . The live chat can be found right here, and there should be a post with results and the usual miscellany. Maybe I’ll remember to create a List on Twitter tonight, that’ll be thrilling for everyone.

In the big news: Volador Jr. will be selling his shirts and taking photos with fans an hour before Sin Piedad. And: he’s teasing new gear!
