Match 1: Lluvia, Luna Mágica, Marcela vs La Comandante, Princesa Blanca, Zeuxis
Arena Mexico, 11/29/2011
Winner: tecnicas
Match Time: 12:44
Rating: eh/ok
Notes: Not a big crowd. Ref is Pompin, who dyed his hair the last week.
1: Marcela/Comandante start.
First pair doesn't last long before Marcela armdrags her opposition out. Comandante comes back in, and stops Marcela's quickness with a hard slap to the chest. Short clothesline follows. Next clothesline misses, and Marcela gets her rolling with a push off a headscissors. Middle rope headscissors, Comandante stays in, but Marcela drops her with a cristo into an atomic drop. Not seen that before. Zeuxis in and dropkicking Marcela. Off the ropes, knee to the midsection. Whip, running knee to the midsection, and Zeuxis is stumbling around. Double underhook backbreaker, and Marcela tags out to Lluvia. Whip, backslide one two no. Zeuxis armdrags Lluvia, Lluvia hangs on and armdrag her back. Zeuxis pulls Lluvia down by the hair and yells at the crowd. Whip, quick reveres, and Zeuxis throws her down by the hair. Corner whip, reverses, charges, Lluvia slide out and Zeuxis this the post. Corner push off headscissors sends Zeuxis to the ropes. Clothesline misses, Zeuxis back suplex into a powerbomb, and tag into Blanca. Blanca stomps Lluvia. Lluvia backed into the corner. Corner whip, reverses, Blanca flips Lluvia to the ropes, Lluvia fights back with a slap to the midsection and a back roll over the top rope into a headscissors. That looks good, the springboard armdrag that follows does not. Corner whip, reverses, Luna flips her partner to safety and headscissors Blanca. Blanca charges, gets yanked down by the hair. Luna off the ropes, right into a Blanca boot. Blanca looks like a giant in with Luna. Whip, reversed, Luna rolls out, Luna doe a cartwheel, Comandante kicks her down. That cartwheel never ends up well for Luna. She ducks a clothesline and comes back with a slow headscissors on Comandante. Luna runs, rolls thru the ropes, and faces Comandante on the outside. Clothesline misses, and Lluvia adds a silla from the apron. Marcela ties up Zeuxis and Luna finishes Blanca.
2: Comandante yells at the ring girl. Blanca and Luna tease locking up, but the rudas jump the técnicas. Lluvia is whipped into a big Comandante spear. Wheelbarrow frontcracker on Luna, Zeuxis looking good on it. Marcela in, Marcela thrown out. Corner charges for Lluvia, including a hard slap from Blanca. Giant swing for Marcela. Camel clutch ends her and Zeuxis takes care of Lluvia. Bucanero very much likes her hold.
3: Comandante gets Luna with an ax-handle to the midsection. Spinebuster, Comandante splash on Lluvia. Rudos try the same bit with Marcela, but she rolls out of the way, and the técnicas storm the ring. Slaps and stomps all around. Corner charges for Blanca. Marcela sunset flips her, but Blanca rolls thru to dropkick her. Everyone else geo sback to their corners. Marcela pulls Blanca down by her hair, and Marcela blows her up with a missile dropkick. Blanca out. Marcela heads up – top rope plancha. Other four out, técnicas miss dropkicks, Comandante with an inverted campana while Zeuxis gives Luna (I think) a short powerbomb. One two NO. Comandante can’t hold on and Lluvia won't quick quickly. Luna stands on Luna's throat while Comandante chokeslams Lluvia. Rudas get the técnicas in position – top rope splash, tope rope moonsault, but both miss. Tecnica lock on submissions, and that's it. Loud boos.
Luna says showed they can win, and the fans are behind them, so they want a shot at the tag team title match. Luna asks the crowd, who does say yes (and then boos come in.) Rudas kind of walk off for a bit. Lluvia asks for the same match, then tosses the match to Zeuxis. She says they proved in Japan they were #1, and they'll prove it again next week. She's a stronger promo too. And so is Comandante.
Match 2: Dragon Lee, Rey Cometa, Stuka Jr. © vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Nitro, Skándalo
Arena Mexico, 11/29/2011
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 13:21
Rating: disappointing
Notes: Ref is Rodolfo. Cometa is back, and he's got a slightly new mask.
1: Lee & Nitro start. Nitro is about twice the width of Dragon Lee. Tuareg appear to be in the mood of being annoying rudos, rather than hard working ones. Rudos take turns holding Dragon Lee in an armbar and tagging out to the next one. Once nothing has been accomplished for a long enough time, they rush the técnicos to start the beatdown. Stuka is quickly pinned, the rudos beat up the técnicos, and then everyone realizes Stuka was the captain. Good work.
2: Low blow #2 is Rey Cometa taking a low blow dropkick back out to the ramp. Announcers showing far more effort than the rudos. Karla bringing up Mr. Cacao is better than anything the rudos are doing. Low blow #3 is Nitro's dropkick. Rudos hold all the técnicos on the same set of ropes because they want to be doomed. All the técnicos are kicked out, rudos runs the ropes right next to them for no reason, and all are pulled out. One slap stuns the rudos (into standing around and adjusting their pants), and the técnicos go back into land tope con giros. Tecnicos crawl back in, rudos do not, and the dives are enough to beat them. Not sure we actually saw Rodolfo make the twenty count – it's a mystery to everyone until he raises their arms. Técnicos go out to crowd brawl with the rudos, who rather just run away.
3: Showcases start with Rey Cometa, Dragon Lee, and finally Stuka.
Cometa may be a little bit off, but he still is getting in the handspring headscissors. Nitro gets in a lot of offense against Dragon lee, takes one headscissors, and gets out of there. Dragon Lee gets in a flipping run on Skándalo, one headscissors, he's out of there. Hmm. Dragon Lee pulls off his flip to the ramp on Arkangel, then runs up the ropes for a nice looking headscissors back in on Arkangel. Dragon Lee poses, but Stuka chases after Arkangel and slaps him around on the outside before telling him to come back in. Chest slap fight late to Stuka armdrags, lets to more stirks. Arkangel grabs Stuka in a full nelson, but his partners gently chop him out. Stuka bosto Dragon Lee into a dropkick on both, triple dive tease, Cometa does his tornillo as Dragon Lee does his springboard tope con giro, but Stuka slide out so he can come back in with Nitro. Springboard reverse tope, quebradora, fireman's drop, torpedo splash. One two three.
Match 3: Metro, Sagrado ©, Valiente vs Euforia, Misterioso Jr., Pólvora
Arena Mexico, 11/29/2011
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:41
Rating: eh
Notes: Ref is Pompin.
1: Pairs are Valiente/Pólvora, Sagrado/Misterioso and Metro/Okumura, speeding up along the way. Valiente and Pólvora don't get into much depth. Sagrado does things which make Misterioso's tassels fly all over the place. Metro easily handles all the rudos, including landing the corner splash on Okumura for a pin. Técnicos rush the other rudos to sweep them out.
2: Rudos rush Valiente to start the fall. Double spinebuster for Sagrado, and everyone stomps him at once. Lot of tossing and kicking. Corner charges for Metro set up a dropkick to the backside, and the others lifting him up and ramming him backward as into the post. Wheelbarrow faceslam for Sagrado, and a three man campana finishes him. He's apparently captain.
3: Corner charges for Metro. Sagrado's held and hit. Valiente just gets over on a backdrop. Metro's dropkicked to the ramp. The rudos have to learn to stop doing that. He does roll to the floor, so maybe they're safe. Rudos try to make another mistake, holding Valiente into the corner too long. Corner whip, Valiente hosp around the rope and own with a headscissors on Misterioso. Sagrado both left standing, and Metro levels them with clothesline. Técnicos holds the rudos in a corner for a while, whipped into each other, Sagrado boost dropkicks ends out only Pólvora. Okumura kicks down Sagrado, but Metro gets him with a quebrada. Superkick – misses by so much the commentators go “AWWW”. Even a camera switch couldn't hide it. Okumura sort of half sells it, stops, and Metro clotheslines him out. Misterioso sends Metro out, but Valiente is into fight him. Misterioso get in a nice springboard armdrag to send Valiente out. Okumura grabs him, Misterioso tells him to back up, repeatedly, runs, - and Sagrado grabs him and pulls him out. Sagrado superkicks him, but they cut away just in case this time. Valiente posts Okumura, leaving Pólvora and Metro left in. Rudos aren't happy to face anyone. Metro shoves Pólvora, Pólvora misses a clothesline, Sagrado superkicks him into Metro's German suplex (spiking Pólvora), one two three.
Pólvora is hurt after the match, though they don't focus on it.
Match 4: Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Rush vs Mephisto, Rey Bucanero, Terrible
Arena Mexico, 11/29/2011
Winner: rudos
Match Time: 15:28
Rating: OK
Notes: Bucanero & Terrible are wearing their TRT gear, Rey wearing the TRT shirt with Texano's name on it. Tough to get new shirts in a week. Ref is Maya.
1: Pairs are Rush/Terrible, Angel de Oro/Mephisto, Mascara/Bucanero. Terrible's knee pads don’t match, like maybe he's wearing one of his own and one of someone else. He and Rush start on the mat, but can't keep it that way, battling with kicks and chops quick. Terrible goes to tag out, but Bucanero is not interested in coming in while Rush is still there. Rudos just taunt Rush until he finally leaves. Mephisto and Angel de Oro end up in. There's a huge fan of Angle de Oro in the front row. Oro headscissors him out and gives chase, though Mephisto immediately begs off. They've got the técnicos fans who are here strongly behind Mascara, now they just need to convince the rest of the world. Fast pint attempts lead to Bucanero putting his chin out for a superkick. Rey flips Mascara to the apron, Mascara superkicks him from there, climbs up, and gets crotched by Mephisto. Rudos run wild, Mephisto going after Mascara's mask. Rudos set Mephisto up on the apron so Mephisto can gently dropkick him off. Tormenta Bucanero on Angel de Oro, Terrible giant swing, Mephisto dropkick. He's pinned. Rush chops everyone hard, and they all stomp him down. Three man powerbomb, he's done.
2: Holding and hitting. It feels like there's been three close versions of the same match tonight. Rush and Terrible have a spirited battle on the outside, until Terrible gets in a cheap kick. He's taken care of Oro and Rush alone, leaving the other two to mess with Mascara. And even then, it's note quite enough, because Mascara slips in a headscissors on Mephisto. Bucanero forearms him down. Corner whip, Mascara sidesteps the charge, Terrible clotheslines misses, headscissors sends Bucanero out. Rush planchas the other two, rudos chop Bucanero by mistake. Rush avoids Terrible, Mephisto kicks him, Oro headscissors him, Mascara topes Mephisto. Técnicos take it. Rush is wildly booed, even by the announcers.
3: Picked up with Mephisto and Mascara already chopping – and Mephisto sliding out to avoid him. Oro and Bucanero in with Bucanero chopping Oro around in the corner a lot. Oro turns it around, the crowd counting along, and Bucanero being angry with the crowd. Oro fights back versus both Bucanero and Mephisto, a boost dropkick taking out Mephisto, and a back spin headscissors sending Bucanero scrambling up the ramp. Mephisto in, so Máscara comes in again. Mephisto walks, Terrible comes in, Rush comes in before Mascara's even turned around to see Mephisto is gone. Rush is getting his turn. Rush is very distracted by the suddenly loud Terrible chant. Open hand slap fight, won by Terrible by sneaking in an off hand slap to the face. Whip, over, Rush trips up Terrible from the mat, Rush senton, Terrible moves, and kicks him in the back. Open hand slap. Corner whip, reversed, Rush corner clothesline in, bulldog out. Announcers are very impressed, fans are impressed to boo. Bucanero try to be sneaky, still runs into a powerslam. Dropkick to the head sends him out. Mephisto in. Rush seems less than interested, and Mascara jumps in. Mascara's mask is completely ripped open on his left side. Crowd chants for Mascara, though the rudo fans loudly add another, not positive word to that chant. Chop fight leads to Máscara stripping, and Mephisto kick him in the leg. Mephisto shoulderblock sets up a Máscara rolling dropkick to send him out. Rudos boot him out, Oro gets Bucanero with a flying armdrag and Rush gets Terrible with a missile dropkick. Dives by those two – top rope moonsault and tope con giro, so we're down to Mascara and Mephisto. Mephisto takes a big look around, charges, comes up empty. Mascara flipped to the apron, back with a swing kick, up top, plancha, casadora, around – no, Mephisto squirms free. Mephisto clothesline blocked, Mascara lifts him up, Rosa DDT. One two three.
Mephisto makes a title challenge after the match. Mascara says he beat his leader Averno, and took his mask, so he'll give Mephisto a chance so he can beat him too and prove he's not lucky, but good.
