recap
where I hate the show at levels not seen for at least few months, then am rewarded/contradicted by a good main event
La Parkita, Mini Charly Manson, Octagoncito vs Mini Monster Clown, Mini Murder Clown, Mini Psycho Clown (and part 2) Mini Psycho Circus really didn’t get a chance to get over; yet another heavily clipped match will do that. Mini Murder Clown appears to be not any good, even before he almost killed himself. Post match angle was cute.
Cuervo, La Parka, Ozz vs Billy Boy, Cibernético, Escoria: you know how people say lucha libre has no psychology? The people who are currently editing AAA TV firmly believe this is the case. Team A is beating up Team B. Crowd shot. Team B has destroyed Team A, but now Team A is making a comeback. Crowd shot (same one). Team A is getting it’s offense in. Crowd shot. Team A is laid out with not before season weapons, and then pinned.
This has never been an AAA strong suit, but the TV has become an utter joke since TripleMania, just a total mess that’s only watchable for the insane and those paying attention so little that they figure they must be missing the parts that would make sense. I am not sure which category the people in AAA belong in. How anyone involved with the show can watch the match they are putting on the air and be satisfied with the work they are doing is beyond me.
La Parka’s first match at TripleMania included him slowly chasing Cibernético around, then doing comedy spots for his offense. This is fine for a midcard comedy act, which is exactly what Parka needs to be at this point. Instead, they’re booking him in blood feuds around betrayed family members.
Drago, Heavy Metal, Joe Lider vs Chessman, Silver King, Último Gladiador: Okay, maybe THIS is a reason to be watching this show. Drago looked awesome in all of his spots, the best he’s looked so far. The rudos were in the right places for all off it, and Drago came off as the big new star they occasionally want him to be. Also worth watching is Nanyzh Rock, who is amazingly bad at her job. It does not seem like it would’ve been hard to find a trained person or train her, but she’s so consistently clueless that I guess it must be. Worth seeking out.

“Perros flee when the real Psycho Circus, in street clothes, rush out.”
The mind boggles at the Psycho Circus in street clothes.
Yeah Drago was ruling it on this show. He may be my new #3. (Rey Jr./Mistico are always #1 and #2 so my new #3 is my way of saying my current favorite wrestler)
Gotta give full credit to the rudos though – especially Chessman. He and Drago have amazing chemistry together. It’s as if they’ve been working together all their lives but really they haven’t even met since the Barrios/Black Family feud of 2004. Hopefully they keep getting matched up.
