Gen 11 vs Vets cibernetico: a brief ranking of the Gen2011 wrestlers

Comando Clutch

Hijo del Signo as a rudo (though not the biggest upside)
Hombre Bala Jr.
Bobby Zavala (least certain)
Dragon Lee
Hijo del Signo as a tecnico (so of course he’s one half the time)
Enrique Vera Jr.
Magnus
Super Halcon Jr.

(Palacio Negro, Metal Blanco and everyone else you’re thinking of don’t count because the secret critera here is “Arkangel trainee.” Which may clue us in to who’s in charge of these matches.)

Super Halcon Jr. is so not ready for even openers. Magnus is ready for openers; makes a fine pair with Mortiz! Enrique Vera Jr. is ready for a promotion that doesn’t already have Rush because he’s basically the greener version. Dragon Lee is the most DTU wrestler in CMLL since Crazzy Boy. Hijo del Signo is the four year college basketball player, solidly fundamentally but no one believes he’ll carry a team. Bobby Zavala hasn’t been on my TV much. I genuinely believe there’s something in Hombre Bala that really may work out. Also, as interesting as this continues to be, I also genuinely believe that the absolutely last thing CMLL needed is seven more young wrestlers that they wanted to get over right away.

Delta, Toscano, Valiente vs Felino, Misterioso II, Shigeo Okumura: I watched this a week ago, it was fine, I do not recall it at all. Everyone did about what they usually do, Valietne was great.

  1. COMEDY GOLD!

    “A greener version of Rush.”

    How sad is that?

I don’t think it’s even worth it to rank these guys b/c most of them are so green it’s not worth judging them just yet. I treat them like the IWRG rookies (who are better!) and just praise them for good matches or hope they learn from their bad matches (plentiful with this crew). It’s a shame they are all being tossed into the frying pan like this but that’s what a desperate promotion does. At least the IWRG rookies are kept in openers/rookie shows and we wouldn’t even know of their existence if BTJr wasn’t around. The only folks that shit on their work are the usual “Signo rules” bunch.

These guys aren’t exactly giving Arkangel a ringing endorsement as a trainer though.
