1) Palacio Negro b In Memoriam first time Palacio Negro has been in a singles match opener since 2008. He’s barely turned up since losing in the trios tournament; this unannounced match was only his third match in six weeks.
2) Astro Boy & Robin b Acertijo & Drago
3) Metal Blanco & Sensei b Inquisidor & Semental Same thing with Metal Blanco as Palacio Negro, though at least he’s got a match next week. Perhaps they’re now training in Arena Mexico but only wrestling here (infrequently) in the interim?
4) Euforia & Vangelis b Diamante & Metro Straight fall win for the rudos, which seems a bit of an upset.
5) La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada b Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero [CMLL TRIOS] Tecnicos took falls one and three, tecnicos beating all the rudos in the third fall.

There’s video of falls in the 3rd and 5th match on this YouTube site. Does Inquisidor put his ax in his carry on bag when he flies to GDL? I don’t think that’d work, but he can’t risk them losing that with his luggage. I could definitely see him sitting on a bus for a day with the ax in his hand.

The Perros say all they filled out all the permits and paid the payments for their show yesterday, only for the director of the building to tell them all of the permits were invalid. They’re going to try the show again this Sunday.
This is probably too late for anyone reading this, but Amapola, Marcela, Sujei and Lluvia were going to talk about lucha libre at UNAM today, and then have a match. There’s a lucha photo exhibition as well.

The Rey de Reyes fourway looks like the most interesting match. Wagner and Park are unpredictable on their own, and Nicho and Halloween will go right with them.
The pairs match is “as ordered by Joaquin Roldan”, like Tiger/Jack vs Silver/UG this coming Saturday is ordered by Dorian. I have no idea what this is about, but I haven’t watched anything from Naucalpan yet. (Today! Maybe.)
Metal vs Electroshock is match 2. The most they can get to on TV by Rey de Reyes is 4. I have no problem with them doing one (or two or three) on a spot show and showing the clips on TV.
Fabián el Gitano, Metálico, Metatrón vs Bronco, Demus 3:16, Inquisidor: This is pretty much the nadir of Demus in the Big Guys division; he’s working with lesser guys and he’s still second on the card. The minis match was third on the card, so he was definitely worse off for one night. He’s been kind just hanging around in random eh matches recently, but winning the cibernetico on Tuesday gives me hope they haven’t given up on him. Meanwhile, Metatron is the tecnico equivialant of Inquisidor.
Metro, Rush, Toscano vs Ephesto, Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi: Yoshihashi is back! And now instead of just being out of his depth, his character is that he’s completely out of his depth. Or maybe it was just for this match, with Metro and Rush just gleefully killing him. Rush seemed very happy in this match.
CMLL (SUN) 02/13/2011 Arena Mexico [CMLL, Cesar] ***Fan Appreciation Show, February (SUN)***
1) Artillero & Súper Comando b Camaleón & Trueno
2) Hooligan, Nitro, Raziel b Ángel Azteca, Fabián el Gitano, Metálico straight fall win after Angel Azteca Jr. left the match with a nose injury.
3) Pequeño Olímpico b Bam Bam [CMLL MINI] New champion! Trueno and Super Comando were the seconds. Bam Bam won the first, and Olimpico took the last two to win the title for the second time. He won the title with a half crab.
4) Rush, Stuka Jr., Valiente b Felino, Mephisto, Texano Jr. Rush reversed a Texano Tornado into a small package to steal the win. Felino and Perico did not let this stop them from dancing after the match. Mephisto subbed for Terrible.
5) Blue Panther, Super Porky, Toscano b Héctor Garza, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. Volador lost clean to the Nudo Lagunero.
The scheduled Perros del Mal show tonight was canceled. At least they’re getting better letting people know; Damian and others were outside explaing their side to unhappy people.
Luchas2000 #557 has Mascara Dorada vs Averno and Panther/Dragon.

That title is Hijo del Pirata Morgan’s from El Paso. Since he just won another singles title, the winner of this has a mighty good chance. First time La Roca is here since last April. He was working AAA spot shows last time he was spotted, but maybe they too figured out he needed a lot of work.
Explosivo reappears from the dead (not literally!) and starts finding himself in matches with Comando Negro. That is not the start of a story with a happy ending.

The reversal sequence leading to the finish was awfully familiar. Instead of an armbar, Dorada won with a fireman’s carry bomb, same move he was using in his match with Taguchi. Dorada challenged for a title match and a mask match.
The talk of the night was the new luchador in the segunda, Magnus. There had been talk about him being a new Mistico, but nearly every new masked tecnico introduced in the next two years has been molded like a new Mistico. This was a bit something more. Magnus had been wearing a white and red mask in his pre-debut interviews, but now suddenly had a white and silver mask redesigned to look very close to Mistico’s mask. Similar gear and similar moves too. Magnus didn’t use La Mistica as a finish, but did use an arm submission – Alberto Del Rio’s cross armbreaker. Magnus is CMLL’s Mistico II, without actually using the name. (So far.) Notice he even has his own t-shirt already.
Cesar outs Magnus as Mistico’s cousin, says he looked nervous early and the crowd turned on him (though his late crazy dive might have won some of them back.) The reaction to this stunt has been negative, everyone feeling like CMLL is trying to deceive the fans. It also seems a shot at Mistico, that they can just put a new guy under nearly the suit and think they get away with it. (Ras de Lona’s promised story on Mistico did not appear.)
Ras de Lona alos aired a skit with Mini Maximo and Perico for Valentine’s Day. We had believed they were the same guy, but they weren’t in the same skit. Perico looked a couple inches shorter than Mini Maximo, and there’s not many people that size around lucha libre.
Fabi Apache will be out for a few weeks due to Hijo de Tirantes attack to her leg on the Arena Naucalpan show. (In reality, she came into the match with a leg injury and this was their way of writing her out.) Mari Apache will take her place in all matches.

Segunda features Bam Bam vs Olimpico, two days after their title match. And main has more Dorada/Averno issues.

Hijo del Fantasma & Mephisto are the designated team to fall apart, and that’s okay. Psicosis & Valiente is the really great looking team on paper which will probably struggle to win it’s first match. Atlantis & Mascara Dorada are the returnign champions and the heavy favorites.
Main event seems to be combining Rush & Super Porky’s individual issues with los Renegados. Teaming someone up with Brazo de Plata is one way to make someone more likable.
