AAA on Televisa #966 (11/27/2010)

Centro de Convenciones de Tlalnepantla, 11/07/2010:

Mascarita Divina & Octagoncito vs Mini Histeria & Mini Psicosis: Fun quick match which might have been better in a crowd more ready for it. Everyone looked good, Divina didn’t attempt to break a leg on a headscissors to the floor, and the finish was good.

AAA guys can dive too

Fabi Apache & Mari Apache vs Kayuga & Oyuki: Kayuga & Oyuki are entertaining, good in the ring, and need to have many rematches. This was an actual good AAA women’s match – not a ‘good for those involved’ or ‘good thanks to the guys carrying it’ – but an actual good women’s match and it’s been a long gap without them.

Aerostar, Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans vs Billy Boy, Chris Stone, Decnnis: Another fun match, somewhat better than I expected because Jack & Tiger really didn’t face the Milita guys much ever before they were Militia and they meshed pretty well. None of these opening matches are going anywhere – even the belt stealing angle hasn’t been followed up in the women’s match – but they were all enjoyable by themselves.

Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario, Ozz vs Damián 666, El Ilegal, Halloween: Ilegal got an actual introduction and people talking him up, which is about 100% more attention they usually give people. It’s not a big surprise he appears to hanging around a while, seemingly as alternate-Homicide. He was fine here, but this match didn’t do a lot for me.

Cibernético, El Mesías, La Parka Jr. vs Chessman, Hernandez, Zorro: How did the Militia know what Skull Mask looks like when his mask is off, given he’s normally a masked man? Every time Parka starts yelling like a mad man, Cibernetico looks the sane one.
