This week: Jack & Tiger back from Japan, new luchador from Puerto Rico, and Parka & Cibernetico fail to get along.
Four sided ring, though they seem to have room for six.
Match 1: Mascarita Divina & Octagoncito vs Mini Histeria & Mini Psicosis
Centro de Convenciones de Tlalnepantla, 11/07/2010
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 8:08
Rating: good
Notes: Straight into the match. Pepe Casas is ref.
Full speed for the first two and half minutes, mostly técnico high spots with not much time in between. Crowd isn't really into it, but feels like they're still filtering in (or the building just doesn’t make much noise). It slows down when the rudos try to annoy the crowd into making more noise, and they are louder for Octagon's run on Mini Psicosis. Rudos randomly take over for beatdown from there. Divina is killed by a veg-o-matic. Octagoncito gets the sandwich dropkicks. Beatdown lasts for all of 90 seconds (and one really obvious clip) before Divina comes back with a middle rope flying headscissors on Psicosis. Octagoncito gets Histeria with a quebradora and the crowd loudly chants for one more, so they're into it now. Rudos bumble around a bit, Octagoncito dances inbetween, and they end up slapping each other. Divina sets up a Octagoncito springboard splash on both, but the rudos kick out at two. Octagoncito and Histeria out, Psicosis kicks Divina into the ropes, charges, and dropkicks air on his way to the floor. Divina just jump far enough on the Asai moonsault. Octagoncito headscissors, spinning armdrag into a crucifix cradle, one two three.
Match 2: Fabi Apache & Mari Apache vs Kayuga & Oyuki
Centro de Convenciones de Tlalnepantla, 11/07/2010
Winner: rudas
Match Time: 8:40
Rating: fun
Notes: Again, no entrances. Hijo de Tirantes is ref. He now has a faux-hawk hairstyle, and it's amazing. Perfect guy for that hair. Amazingly obvious clip to start.
Oyuki does a lot of flips, gets dropkicked by Fabi. Quebradora on the next pass, and Oyuki gets out of there. By the way, Kayuga has the more cat-ish mask, and that's how we're going to tell them apart. Mari into face her, and whiffing on dropkick. Kayuga headlock, scrunching it in, shot off, and back with a shoulderblock. Whip, Kayuga back with a boot to the head. Kayuga: “OTRA!” Fans do not approve, are wrong. Kayuga of the ropes, and nailed by Mari's wheel kick. Kayuga rolls out, but Mari kicks her out to be sure. Mari thinks about hitting Tirantes, but decides not to. Tags. Fabi goes to lockup, and Kayuga calmly kicks her down from behind. Kayuga works over Fabi with kicks. Oyuki disappears off screen, returns with Fabi's Mixed Tag belt (misidentified by Arturo) and hits Fabi with it, dropping it after. That was random. I guess she must've taken care of Mari too. Tirantes picks up the belt, and offers it back to Oyuki. She hits Fabi a few more times. Kayuga cokes Fabi around the top rope. Whip, Kayuga kneelift, Oyuki bulldog, sandwich dropkick to finish. Japanese walk around, posing for the crowd. Mari in and kicked. Oyuki uses the belt, because it's working for her. Strong kick by Kayuga. Don't zoom in on Mari talking to them, okay? Frontcracker by Oyuki. Kayuga jumps to Oyuki's shoulders, and Oyuki spins her off into a DDT on Mari! That was nice. Fabi gets in and grabs Oyuki's mask, but Tirantes pulls her off by her hair. Crowd does not like that one bit. Double boot choke for Fabi. Long choke. Corner whip, Mari flips her sister to safety, breaks a double clothesline, and leads the rudas into a Fabi missile dropkick. Oyuki out, Kayuga stays in for a double press slam and the legdrop running senton con giro combo. Crowd wants more. Oyuki is whipped into a Fabi kick, then stumbles into Mari's DDT. Head kicking time, a bad time for Oyuki. Apaches threaten Tirantes again. Tirantes is not concerned at first, but the crowd gets involved and Tirantes has to talk them down. Oyuki rushes in and punches Fabi, which gets things going again. Corner whip, handspring back elbow, bulldog out! Oyuki yells and poses. Fabi sits up, Oyuki's kick misses, but she moonsaults onto Fabi (mostly) one two NO. Snappy count. Whip, quick revers into a Fabi backslide with bridging over cover. Tirantes checks the shoulders carefully, then starts counting: one....two....kickout. Fabi is sure that should've been three. Fabi clothesline is countered right into a double underhook faceslam. Kayuga clear Mari of the apron and as Oyuki goes up – top rope moonsault! One – no, Mari break sit up, and kicks Oyuki in the head to be sure. Whip, Atlantida! Mari drops Oyuki on the mat. She's out, but Mari is going to finish her for sure. Tope rope senton con giro! One – Tirantes stops, and watches Kayuga circle around the pin to break it up with a kick. Whip, quick stop by Mari, forearm, spinning forearm to lay out Kayuga good. Mari picks up Kayuga just enough to knee her in the head, then picks her up one more time. Powerbomb? NO, Kayuga breaks free, and the two exchange kicks. Mari blocks one, and takes an enziguri. That just drops to one knee, so Kayuga runs for another. Cover, but Fabi breaks it up with a kick to the face. Corner whip, Fabi charges in, Kayuga kicks her back, middle rope spinning DDT! Kayuga picks Fabi up – turns out it's for Oyuki, but her missile dropkick takes out her partner. Fabi shining wizard on Oyuki, then out to the apron for a dive – but Tirantes pull her down by her hair! Mari has enough of that and grabs Tirantes. We don’t see where that goes – as they got out side – but it seems like Kayuga broke it up. Kayuga 'rana, roll thru, Mari holds on for the pin but Tirantes won't count. He will kick Mari over, putting Kayuga on top – super quick one two three for the fall. That was fun, even with the referee silliness.
The rudas regroup in the ring. Tirantes uses Oyuki as a shield, but Kayuga comes in with both belts this time, and they hit Mari with it before stomping stomping all over her.
Konnan tells Zorro that Perro could get the shot against Wagner, or Park could, be he wants to be loyal to his people, like Zorro. He knows Zorro is loco, but he's got to prove he's the one to get a shot – take Wagner's mask off in the center of the ring and prove he's the best in the world, and his future will look good. Zorro doesn't do anything but kiss his cross.
Last week: Zorro attacked Dr. Wagner and took his mask, until the Clowns ran him out. Wait, when did that actually happen last week? Ooooooh right, the match they cut.
Arturo talks to the Manaicos. Electroshock is notably standing apart from his teammates and not happy. Silver King tells Electroshock that they three are together “4 life!” They've been together for about four months. Anyway, this is the tag champs yelling at Electroshock for not being a team player. Electroshock explains he refuses to work with Konnan and Dorian, and so isn't working with them.
Match 3: Aerostar, Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans vs Billy Boy, Chris Stone, Decnnis
Centro de Convenciones de Tlalnepantla, 11/07/2010
Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 8:20 (5:24+2:56)
Rating: good
Notes: Rudos are already beating up the técnicos when they join. Copetes is referee. They have 3 matches left for 50 minutes and they're joining stuff in progress? Odd.
Beatdown. Rudos kick the turnbuckle underneath Tiger's groin, which hurts him a lot. Aerostar takes corner charges. Decnnis gives Jack a running powerbomb. Tiger is dropkicked come back in. Gori Special for Aerostar. Jack starts the comeback with a springboard flipping double back elbow. Aerostar ads a springboard splash on Billy and Chris, and Tiger gives Decnnis his Atlantida slam on top of the other two. Técnicos are all ready to go, but none of the rudos want to get up. Decnnis manage a wheel kick on Tiger, Jack this him with a his jumping spin heel kick. Chris dropkicks Jack, Aero dropkicks Chris, Billy dropkicks Aero, who's left? Jack gets back up, sets up Billy with kicks, Billy ducks the jumping spinning heel kick. Jack back bends under one clothesline, backflips under another, and sends Billy out with a jumping knee. Dive? No, Decnnis dropkicks Jack out. Tiger in, but Decnnis flips him with a clothesline. Corner whip, but Tiger swings around the ropes and 619s Decnnis as he charges. Decnnis thrown down by his hair. Rope flip moonsault looks very awkward, only gets 2. Decnnis up and kicking. Off the ropes, Tiger flips him to the apron, trips him up there, and knocks him to the floor with a running dropkick. Again, no dive – break here.
Chris kicks Tiger and tosses him thru the ropes. Aero in and scaring Chris with the marathon front handstands. Aero claps for the crowd, and Chris dropkicks him. Whip, reversed, Chris runs into a backdrop. Aero off the ropes, headscissors sends Chris out – Brillo Dorado out after him! Jack in, and taking Billy Boy out with a headscissors. Jack turns – Fosbury moonsault to the floor. Tiger and Decnnis in. Tiger headscissors, but drops down to his feet behind Decnnis' back. Up to Decnnis' shoudler, and of with a headscissors . Running tornillo to take him out. Aero and Chris in, Chris flipping Aero out with a clothesline. Crowd starting a chant for him. Corner whip, Aero gets his boot up, Aero gets both boots up but Chris grabs him, Chris flips him, Aero lands on his feet, Chris charges, Aero moves, and Chris spears the post on the way to the floor. Aero teases the dive, and tries a pescado. Chris catches him, but then drops him on the mat. Something didn't happen right there. Jack and Billy in. Jack kicks away Billy's clothesline and then kicks him in the head side of the head. Jack: “VIVA MEXICO”, brainbuster. Copetes walks all the way around the pin. One two – NO. Slow count, though not as bad as Tirantes. Jack turns to argue, Billy kicks him, lifts Jack over his shoulders, and drops him with a sit down powerbomb. One two NO. Much faster count. Billy tries to throw Jack to thru the ropes, Jack turns it around, and Chris accidentally clocks his partner with a chair in the mix. One...two.......three. That was also fun!
Rudos check on Billy, then attack the técnicos. Beatdown. Tiger is blocked with the helmet. Chairshot to Jack's back, chair shot to Tiger's shoulder – chair shot to Aero's head and he doesn't get a hand up. Aerostar is going to have fun with all his concussions. Jack is strechered out.
Hijo del Tirantes is walking around backstage talking about how great he is when he runs into Gran Apache. This is okay for Tirantes, because he gives Apache a piece of his mind for giving him Apache's little speech last week – apparently, Apache is suspended from wrestling or something, and can't get any revenge on Tirantes, neither can his daughters – maybe it'll be up to his gran children! Apache's says Tirantes will get it one day, but Tirantes says he won't as long as he's under Dorian and Konnan's protection. Lots of evil laughing. Apache is contemplative.
Konnan explains to person off screen how Nicho has been a traitor to all of them, and welcomes his new recruit from Puerto Rico to get revenge. (Everyone just laughs about Lider) We see half of the new guy's face. Hernandez wants the Hermandad right now, but they've got to take care of Mesías too. We finally see the new guy's mask (because he just puts it on) as they're all ranting at the camera at the end. Konnan did call him “Boricua” but probably didn't mean it as his name. Illegal's mask is kind of Nitro like – not as open on the sides, but completely so on the back.
Elsewhere, Nicho & Lider talk about Konnan's surprise. Nicho is much more concerned about this than Lider. Nicho even knows who it is - “El Illegal, El Chicano” - and Lider knows he's a guy from Puerto Rico. Lider is even less concenred when he knows who it is.
Match 4: Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario, Ozz vs Damián 666, El Ilegal, Halloween
Centro de Convenciones de Tlalnepantla, 11/07/2010
Winner: rudos
Match Time: 8:58 (4:58+4:00)
Rating: eh
Notes: Entrances. Which makes sense when you're debuting a new guy. Piero is ref.
It threatens to break down early, but Nicho gets in a wheel kick on Ilegal to keep control for his side, and start a run of showcases. Ozz is next, with FdT doing most of their usual stooging, and Lider tries really hard to use wacky moves on Damian. Illegal evades the kick the second time thru, starting the beatdown. He meshes better with his team (and his opponents) than the usual randomly added outsider. Between this and the vignettes before the match, they've clearly put a lot more attention into getting this one over. Ilegal shows he's new here by going for repeated pinfalls during the beatdown
Beatdown lasts thru the break. Nicho take scorner charges it, but whipping Ozz into the same corner backfires for the rudos. Nicho nicely trips Damian into the ropes for a Ozz guillotine legdrop, then slides Halloween out chest first. Reverse facelock/missile dropkick is an odd 187 combo. Ozz gets out of the way as the other two do their work, but they do come together so Ozz can add a dropkick to the usual double STO spot. Lider clothesline Ilegal out, and follows with an Asai moonsault. Halloween spears Ozz and good, but Nicho breaks up the pin. Damian spins Nicho out with a clothesline. Rudos are whipped into each other, inside cradles one two NO. Ozz and Nicho quickly formulate a plan, whip, head down too soon. Nicho and Ozz are set up in opposite corners. Halloween charges Ozz, Oz moves, Halloween spear the post, and Ozz follows with a slingshot tornillo. Meanwhile, Damian mange to foul Nicho, and Piero realizes he shouldn't be looking at the last second. Damian holds Nicho in the corner as Lider and Illegal come back in. Ilegal sets Lider on the top, punches him a few times, and but take a kick and a frontcracker. One two no. Damian unties Nicho's bandana – he's worn it all match to hide his newly bald head. Lider kick is blocked, and Ilegal drops him with a reverse neckbreaker variant. One two three.
Konnan and Hernandez come out after the match. Hernandez has a wonderful Mr. T shirt. Gutwrench slam for Nicho. Konnan cuts his head? I don't know what Konnan did. I guess that's barbed wire? One slice for each of the técnicos. Konnan, no fool, is really really thick gloves. Joaquin Roldan comes out and sends ecuerity (and Extreme Tiger and Gran Apache?) to the ring. Rudos clear out on their own. Damian is all offended with Joaquin calls them the Chihuahuas del Mal. Joaquin says they'll have to deal with Psycho Circus, then makes fun of Ilegal. Joaquin gives a huge chuck of bills to 187 to take care of Konnan. They're doing well so far.
Los Bizarros enter a room!
Los Bizarros run in last week!
Konnan is talking to Zorro and what appears to be the unmasked Skull Mask. Los Militia walk in, and are totally pleased to finally see who's under the mask. (Also, they've got berets.) Decnnis says this is a great surprise, but he wants them to keep their mouth quiet about the traitor. HMMMM. Also, no more of this Bizarro stuff this week. Decnnis says they'll take care of it. SALUTE. Skull Mask puts on his mask and turns around as Zorro gives us words from the prophet.
Match 5: Cibernético, El Mesías, La Parka Jr. vs Chessman, Hernandez, Zorro
Centro de Convenciones de Tlalnepantla, 11/07/2010
Winner: rudos
Match Time: 10:53 (9:18+1:35)
Rating: eh.
Notes: No entrances? There are 17 minutes left, they could've ate up some of that time pretty easily. Tirantes is ref.
Rudos rush the técnicos and start the beatdown off the bat. Mesías takes a Zorro superplex, a Chessman top rope elbow drop, and a Hernandez to rope splash. No pin.
Parka starts the comeback right after the break, which is only two minutes in. Spinning dropkick/armdrag combo on Chessman and Zorro, Mesías spears Hernandez, and off from there. Chessman flies a long way on Cibernetico's stunner. Zorro doesn't go quite as far. Clip? Standard técnico showcase after, giving the rudos some offense but winning everything. Second segment ends with a humorous Chessman/Parka slap exchange and Parka tope-ing Chessman.
Mesías takes Hernandez out with a chokeslam. Cibernético gets the better of Zorro, blocks the superkick, and locks on the choke. Skull Mask is a little late showing up, but enough to distract Cibernético to let go (though he still clotheslines Zorro.) Skull Mask jumps to the apron, Cibernético grabs him, Tirantes grabs Cibernético and Skull Mask gets away. Cibernético goes after Tirantes, and Zorro lights him up with cane shots. Curb Stomp still doesn’t really look good, but it gets a clean one two three.
Skull Mask and the rudos rush back into stomp Cibernético. Zorro is not really concerned. Los Bizarros music plays – they all come in and brawl badly with the rudos. It take all the Bizarros to punch Hernandez out of the ring, but they do mange to clear it from everyone but Cibernético.
Clip, and Mesías is back in. He emphasis that the problem is not with AAA, it's with Dorian and Konnan. Mesías needs Cibernético back on his side, and so do the people. UNITY! UNITY! Cibernético makes it easy for Mesías – Parka betrayed him, so now he's united with four guys he can trust. There's room for one more. Parka is yelling at Cibernético thru this. Cibernético and his guys will take care of the La Sociedad, but he wants Mesías to think about joining his side of the war the next two shows. Los Bizarros leave.
Replays and they're done.
