Cinthia Moreno, Gato Eveready, Mari Apache vs Kayuga, Oyuki, Yuriko: I don’t know if Gato Eveready would be better off in CMLL (he could bring back the Jaguar gimmick and fill out the Cometa/Pegasso trio) but I do know he’d be on my TV more than once every three weeks and that’d be fantastic.
Best possible all feline match at the moment
Blue Panther, Gato Eveready, Bengala, Tigre Blanco vs Puma King, Tiger Kid, Felino, Tiger Cota
Cuervo & Ozz vs Chessman & Zorro: Odd meeting of rudos who are usually there to make the other team look good. And, hey, Ozz & Cuervo looked good so it worked. Skull Mask has quickly switched from a guy who nearly killed Octagon to just another random henchman.
CMLL (SUN) 11/28 Arena Neza [Rudos de Neza @ flickr, The Gladiatores]

4) Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata, Delta b Dr. X, Nitro, Skándalo, Taurus

Referee Toby was the scheduled referee for the main event, but the Invasors protested and got Tirantes as the ref instead. After they split the first two falls, Tirantes slow counted the champions in the third, so the commission sent Toby back in the match to count the three count. Invasors were displeased.
Nitro was apparently running late, because local wrestler Taurus took his place in the first fall. Rudos lost, Nitro showed up, and Taurus tagged his way all the way out of the match. Skandalo stole Angel de Oro’s mask to take the second fall, and Angel de Oro repaid the favor in the third. After the match, Skandalo challenged Angel de Oro to a mask match, and Angel de Oro accepted the match for this building on Christmas Day. Which would be very interesting.
However, Dralion and Neza Kid are still feuding and also challenged each other to an apuesta match. It sounds like the two matches may be combined in to one and only one of those four (the locals) would lose their mask.
Metalico replaced Rey Cometa. We don’t have any results for Rey Cometa in three weeks (a week or so after Pegasso got hurt), unless he showed up in Arena Puebla last night.
Attendance was usual for CMLL in the building (not good.)
CMLL held a moment of applause for Hijo de Cien Caras at Arena Puebla. Volador Jr., in the main event, talks about his cousin and the lack of security in Mexico in the article.
The police told La Presna that there were two shooters who killed Hijo de Cien Caras and the woman he was with, and they left the scene in a black Neon. They presume it was a case of revenge and note the woman, Adela Luna, was separated from her husband for two years. It seems like they have a pretty good idea who is responsible. I’m not linking to the article, because they’re using a police photo of both bodies as they were found in the car. They’re not the only ones, and you can find them on your own if you’d like.
Other news:
CMLL.com has put up the poll to decide the new member of the Stuka & Metro trio, replacing Mascara Dorada. They label as “choose a new member of the trio“, not champions, so maybe someone decided they wouldn’t be able to insert someone as a champion.
The choices are Angel de Oro, Delta and Diamante. That’s the right level, but those are three guys who CMLL does a lot with already and appear to really like. Which means they’re exactly the people a contrarian like me doesn’t want to vote for. Boo! Also, as Cesar notes, the winner would be breaking up an existing group. Instead of finding a role for a guy who doesn’t have one, you’re causing one or two guys to lose their usual partner. My endorsement is for Diamante, but it’s not an enthusiastic one.
Cesar has a long piece on what a lot of people have been saying: CMLL’s made Tirantes the top rudo and the only difference between the Invasors and the rest of CMLL, at the cost of the whole storyline. Tirantes has been good in his role, but there’s been way too much emphasis on him, with nothing else going on for the Invasors and weak explanations of why he gets away with it.
In CMLL PR to hype their match, Latin Lover says he’s wrestling in CMLL to support his four kids. Prometo uses this as a jumping off point to accuse Latin of being broke and washed up. (Forecast is calling for a 100% chance of a Daniel comment below.) Also, it’s not a jump from AAA because they stopped working together in March and now it’s November, though that seems to be about the same length of for Psicosis and the Invasors to be leeching off AAA’s popularity by showing up in CMLL. I can’t figure the math on that one.
Prometo is already teetering on the edge of ‘not being interesting enough to link’, but it was hilarious that a blog that’s very obviously written by someone who works for AAA spends time refuting the idea that someone with AAA would try to secretly manipulate fan’s opinions. If you’re not going to give me insight, please continue the comedy.
CMLL (SUN) 11/28 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Virgo b Thunder Boy
2) Meteoro, Pequeño Halcón, Último Dragoncito b Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pierrothito
3) Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sujei, Zeuxis b Goya Kong, Lluvia, Silueta
4) Blue Panther, Brazo de Plata, Valiente b Ephesto, Ráfaga, Texano
5) Averno & Místico b Mephisto & Shocker [Relevos Increíbles]
Special main event, and a chance for Mistico to pull rudo/horn gear out from his closet. The expectation was Averno & Mephisto would just end up turning on their partners. Instead, they fought during the match and were challenging each other to a super libre match after. Mistico’s team took it with a foul on Mephisto.
Rafaga replaced Hector Garza. Goya Kong accidentally splashed Silueta to cause the loss for her team. Halcon was feuding with Pierrothito here. Amazing he happened to already be booked for shows again even before he won the bodybuilding contest.
On this week’s AAA TV, a pre-taped vignette revealed (one of) Octagon’s attackers. Here’s the segment.
They did get it done before Guerra de Titanes. Not sure why it was a pre-tape in Arena Naucalpan and not in front of the crowd, but at least it didn’t happen at the press conference.
CMLL says the next Sunday (DF) Fan Appreciation will be on 12/12. Volador vs Sombra will likely main event.
Tickets for Sin Salida run from $52 (MEX, $4) to $478 (MEX, $38)
Box Y Lucha #3002 has Latin Lover & Shocker (and Rey vs Aguila.) If someone gets this, let us know what the article about the false Mascara Sagrada Jr. says (assuming it’s not an AAA statement.)
Al Filo del Ring has a story on Marcela around her debut and writes about the Copa Box Y Lucha show, which actually did not have anyone from Box Y Lucha present. (He also mentions the writers for that magazine usually don’t get paid.)
Ignacio Jimenez, 33 years old and best known as Hijo de Cien Caras, was murdered last night. A woman named Adela Luna, 42 (likely Jimenez’s wife), was also attacked, though reports vary about her status. Jimenez was not actually the son of Cien Caras, but rented that persona from Cien Caras. Jimenez was previously reported as a brother of LA Park and Super Parka.
Hijo del Cien Caras was seen lately as an IWRG wrestler. He also worked for Santo’s Todos x el Todos and other high end indy promotions around Mexico. Earlier in this decade, he was a regular in CMLL’s Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, though he seems to have left there around the same time his brother also left CMLL. Hijo del Cien Caras most often teamed with Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., and the two were the IWRG Intercontinental Tag Team Champions until losing the belts last Sunday.
Hijo del Cien Caras had also appeared on AAA TV the last few months as part of the ongoing AAA vs IWRG angle, including appearing on TripleMania and challenging for AAA’s tag titles. Cien’s last appearance, from AAA’s last taping in Arena Naucalpan, will air this Sunday in the United States, when he shows up as a group of IWRG wrestlers.
El Universal’s story on the murder says Hijo del Cien Caras and Adela Luna were sitting in a car in front of a house when the killer walked up to the car, said nothing, and shot Caras four times before fleeing. Universal’s story says Luna was unhurt, though other stories on the incident say multiple bodies were identified.
Early reports misreported the deceased as Mascara Ano 2000, which was clearly incorrect based on the age and the name. It was presumed they meant Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., but it actually appears to be his tag team partner. Cien’s body was identified by the Arena Naucalpan doctor. El Hijo del Santo confirmed the identify on Twitter.
Noticias MVS says it was a double homicide, likely by someone who knew one of the two. Hijo del Cien Caras is also being called LA Park’s half-brother.

2) Guerrero Maya Jr., Sensei, Tigre Blanco b Bronco, Demus 3:16, Disturbio
3) Hooligan, Pólvora, Virus b Ángel Azteca Jr., Fabián el Gitano, Fuego
4) Metro, Rush, Sagrado b Dragón Rojo Jr., Negro Casas, Sangre Azteca
5) La Sombra, Strong Man, Toscano b Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr.
Last week, Volador pulled off Sombra’s mask and rolled him up for the win. This week, Sombra pulled off Volador’s mask and rolled him up for the win. Sombra challenged for an apuesta match; Volador was not down for that. Next week is a fan appreciation show, so perhaps they’ll have a singles match.
Every since Dragon Rojo joined Los Guerreros, Sangre Azteca has given angry interviews about how Dragon Rojo left without telling him, he doesn’t understand why, and Dragon Rojo and he still haven’t had a chance to talk. (Here’s the most recent version, this time without accusing Ultimo Guerrero of ruining his career.) Both Sangre & Dragon were also saying they had not talked since Dragon Rojo had left the group, which seemed very unlikely. Anyway, this is CMLL, where everyone teams with everyone, and this was finally the time where Dragon Rojo teamed with Sangre Azteca again. Sangre & Dragon did not work well as a team, started accidentally hitting each other, then started arguing totally on purpose. Negro Casas tried to play peace maker, but the team still lose in two falls. Dragon and Sangre declared war on each other after the match.
Hooligan replaced Nosferatu in the tercera.
Remember Tuesday, when Mascara Sagrada Jr. lost his mask to Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.? Despite being best known under that name, and actually wearing his Super AAA gear, he used the “Mascara Jr.” ring name as to not offend AAA enough to get in trouble. That seems to have worked…for AAA. Arena Aficion’s deal with CMLL is now in jeopardy because CMLL feels a Mascara Jr. losing his mask is infringing on La Mascara’s name. It sounds like a decision has not been made but there are angry Brazos involved.
Maybe he really should’ve just used Mascara Sagrada Junior. As pointed out here yesterday, and as expanded on by Cesar today, Latin Lover seems completely able to use the Latin Lover name. He’s skipped around it the previous visits, but he and CMLL seem to have no concern about being prevented from using it. AAA’s threats and lawsuits may win out in the end, but no one seems particularly concerned about them right now. The only person who’s working under a different name to switch his name is LA Park, and he’s working for AAA right now.
(which means they should’ve just called the Invasors “Los Vipers” and been done with it. Maybe they’ll save it for the recharge. Cesar’s article says La Secta were talking about leaving AAA too, which is the obvious explanation for ongoing events. )
Both Arturo Rivera and Dorian Roldan took to Twitter to mock ‘serious and stable’ CMLL for using Latin Lover and other AAA cast offs.

I guess Mascara Sr. or Pirata Morgan could lose their hair, but there’s one name that really doesn’t belong there. Actually, two: Gran Markus Jr. looks like the obvious loser, but isn’t Rayo supposed to be in Guadalajara?
Trauma II has been gone from here since June. Didn’t get to be in the main event this time.
