Most of this recap is me marking out over the length and depth of the action. The opener was better than usual, but I think my mind was just generally blown by things like the second match being longer than both matches have been on recent FSEs. That, and guys who don’t seem like they’re trying that much on Sunday sure are on Friday. It may take me a few episodes to get over it, and it’s worth noting I was far more into the show the most of the fans were. Those who showed anyway.
It’s amazing how much extra time you have when you cut out pointless entrances and cut out even more pointless promos before matches.
There’s no heat for the Villanos/Laguneros. Sad but true. And when you see it in action…it makes since that the Laguneros are rallying together to fight the Villanos, especially because there’s an implied storyline that the Villanos used their numbers to unmask Panther in the first place. That’s fine and well for the main event (at least in theory), but why are the Laguneros teaming up in the semimain? Just because UG says so (even if there’s no vignette?) Why wouldn’t Ephesto side with the guys he’s been teaming with for months over the guys he just hooked up with?
Still, the opener goes on the Best of Mictlan DVD.
CMLL (WED) 10/29 Gimnasio Ricardo Flores Magon [Noticias Oax]
1) Ares & Sadico b Antorcha & Jungla 3000
2) Endevaro, Fugitivo Oriental, Zorro Jr. b Challenger Jr., Chokma, Rigo Cisneros

4) Lalo el Laco b Fantasma Blanco Jr. [OAXACA WELTER]
5) Sangre Azteca & Terrible b Marco Corelone & Último Guerrero
6) Blue Panther & Dr. Wagner Jr. DQ Mr. Niebla & Villano V
UG was filling into for Alex Koslov, who the article says was injured. Sangre and Ultimo fought like warriors, and V5 distracted UG into being pinned by Sangre. UG got involved in the main event, but V5 still manged to foul Panther.
After Lalo won the semimain, Sangre crashed the post match to tease welterweight champion vs welterweight champion. Before that could be decided, seemingly every local on the undercard came out and got in a brawl.

Guapito snuck in a foul on Alebrije to help his men win.
Previews of tonight’s Arena Mexico show: ESTO, Ovaciones. There’s a Notimex one floating about, but it also doesn’t have anything intersting to say. Despite the lack of attention to this show, it could be one of the best CMLL one of the year. Panther vs Averno & the Trios Tilte match should be very good, and the other matches should be at least good. There’s nothing bad here and it should be a hot crowd.
SoloLuchas talks to Sombra about turning 19, though nothing written is as great as Sombra posing with Elmo and Cookie Monster. They also have an interview with Siniestro.
Negro & Rocky in NJPW: WIN on 11/04, beating Jado & Gedo in the G1 (Romero cradling Jado.) That, coupled with a win elsewhere, blocked Jado & Gedo from advancing in the tournament. Negro & Rocky end up fifth.

5) Nicho el Millionario & Octagón vs Kenzo Suzuki & Zorro
Grabbed some stuff of torrents. This wasn’t the episode to snag; the opener wasn’t what they wanted to be once the Gemelo fell out of the ring, and the main event featured Head Hunter and crowd brawling. I promise not to give up yet.
