07/11-13 Lucha Times

box

AAA US: TripleMania, part 1. Should include Mari/Fabi, Ciber/Zorro and the Marvin/Danielson appearances.

CAN52: With the Arena Mexico tercera not shown on the regular show, you’d think MVS would grab it for here. That’d give it two UG matches, with the Arena Coliseo Main event.

FSE-US: Coliseo tag team final (the whole tournament’s been on this show, and I have a post about it tomorrow) and tecnicos vs Perros.

—-

CMLL MEX: Stuck at an hour, and it’s surely no accident by this point. That means either the cibernetico or the Atlantis tribute match is likely to be cut, because the title match is for sure making it. Or maybe they’ll just cut everything to shreds.

Whichever match doesn’t make the cut should be put up on the CMLL website by noon on Sunday, but of course that’s not happening.

AAA MEX: The amazing tag team of Cibernetico & Elegido. The Guapos continue with out Scorpio and Zumbido. Minis back on the undercard. Five way cage match main event. Show is listed as 14 minutes shorter today, don’t know if that makes a difference.

FSE MEX: Angels vs Ark/Bronco/Vangelis (there’s your Stuka/Vangelis feud) and Warrior vs Sombra

C3: Shocker leads the tecnicos vs the Guerreros in the main event.

LyC: Tigre Universitario, unmasked.

AAA #839 (06/28)

Lucha times up much later tonight

taped 05/30

I keep posting the Apache match because nothing else is much good. You don’t want the hardcore trios match. Mesias/Ozz vs Jack/Teddy was depressing because Mesias gave the Hart Foundation slightly more than he gave Laredo. You don’t want either of the tag matches, that’s for sure.

AAA MARQUEZ (SAT) 07/26 Los Angels Sports Arena
1) Fabi Apache & Pimpinela Escarlata vs Escoria & Mari Apache
2) Mascarita Sagrada 2007 & Octagoncito vs Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Charly Manson
3) Aerostar, Crazy Boy, Super Fly vs Decnnis, Histeria, Psicosis

I like how Crazy Boy is just tossed in with the Air Force. Konnan was right, AAA can’t tell these guys apart. Konnan’s also listed to appear in really tiny letters, and is the most likely Zorro replacement.

Ticketmaster says July 26 in San Diego and July 27 in LA. So do the posters San Jose and Los Angeles. The promoter’s event page lists both shows a day later, and I just presume that’s wrong.

Note the posters both list give aways for the first 5,000 kids under 10 who show up. They must expect quite a bit. None of this is mentioned on AAA’s current website, which has probably seen it’s last update.

Ovaciones says the gymnastics Mistico will be announcing at the Olympicos is the rhythmic gymnastics. You know, the thing with the ribbons and the balls and the overwhelming feeling that if they couldn’t easily hold it in the same place they hold 30 other events, there’s no way it’d be an Olympic sport. This makes much sense – stunt cast the announcing for the sport no one could care about. Ovaciones says the other event Mistico is calling is diving, not swimming. The article also mention that Mistico in in talks for a 3 movie deal.

Averno talks briefly about representing CMLL in TNA this weekend. No mention of Volador, who remains unconfirmed. It’s pretty clear from Rey and UG’s comments that they don’t watch the show when they’re not there. Do you think TNA’s sent the CMLL crew some DVDs or something along those lines? I ask because one of the guys is probably going to get to Houston on Saturday night or Sunday morning, and be informed “you’re in a match where you have to climb this one thing, climb across this wire, and then grab this big X in the middle” and whoever it is really could probably use the warning.

Pierroth is on the CMLL Spain tour, which means he won’t be around on August 15 to have his retirement match. Pierroth says he can’t have it in September, because he doesn’t want his party to intefere with the anniversary show, so it’ll happen sometime in October or November.

Hector Garza says he and Mistico are ready for the tag title match, but hope luck is on their side. He’s high on the TNA guys coming in for the July 25th show.
