08/27 news

Gone: Fuerza Guerrera had a falling out with management at the last Arena Mexico show and left the company. He was upset about his position and usage, both of which seemed nonexistent. It could probably work out better for both sides – Fuerza can’t help but be used better wherever else he goes (independent) and CMLL may be able to get him back if they ever don’t have two times the guys they can use. But it seems like there were harsh feelings at least on Fuerza’s side, so I wouldn’t expect it to happen soon.

Being indy means he’s eligible for TNA work, but I can’t imagine he’d be brought in unless they brought Juvi back and wanted to run an angle that way.

Looking quickly, Fuerza hasn’t been on TV (that the US has got) since 11/24/02.

Paid: Perro Aguayo is making $700 a shot, and Hector Garza is making slightly less than that. Under Garza’s AAA contract and as one of their top stars, he was making up to $900 per WEEK, so he’s obviously doing much better since leaving and the remaining AAA guys have noticed that. This has been your biweekly “Everyone’s leaving AAA…soon” note.

Reposting is great! I wonder if Fuerza saw those numbers too.

#137 and #138

Recaps #137 and #138 are up. #137 was a skipable buildup show, #138 was the major show, with Park’s outfits and a hair/hair match the fans surprisingly bought into. No great match anywhere here, with Terrible showcasing himself as limited.

That puts me 5 behind, 6 this weekend. Eh. Nothing’s really made sad that I’m taking this slow. It did make me really tired staying up to finish these, in case you want notes about me.

lucha times

Lucha Times is up. Split feed on Sunday, normal times on Saturday.

It’s a Tarzan Boy singles match weekend, with his Perro Aguayo Jr. match airing on Saturday and his Atlantis match airing on Sunday. Should be interesting to see what we’re left with on a half hour show.
