the show is starting.

Josh: "What up is everyone." Your hosts are Josh and Josh. BEST EVER. Velocity's filler week them is "Classic Action from WWE 2006 HOFers". We start with possibly the greatest WM match of all time

Bret Hart vs Stone Cold Steve Austin in a I Quit match with special guest referee Ken Shamrock (WMXII, joined in progress) - Austin is stomping Bret's arm as we join. Notice the tracking codes displayed - that's not a good dealio. There's a plug for Bret's DVD. Swinging neckbreaker on Bret, as Vince is killing Bret for being a whiny excuse maker. Middle rope elbow to the back of the neck. Bret cranking Austin's leg. Bottom rope sit down on the knee. Elbow to the inside of Austin's (only, at this point) big knee braces knee, the left one. Bret taking apart the knee. Kick to the back of the knee trips Austin to the mat, and Bret goes for the sit again, but Austin moves. Stunner! but the pinfalls don't count in this one, and both men are down. King: "You gotta be careful, Austin - he can't submit if he's knocked out!" CLIP - Austin tries to put the Sharpshooter on Bret, but Bret eye pokes. This is where King says "Wouldn't that be the greatest of all time - Bret have to submit to the Sharpshooter?" and Vince responding "Hey, it could happen - it's just that painful." Bret up and punching Austin in the midsection. Right hands. Off the ropes, Austin throws him thru the ropes. Bret's right in front of his family. Austin poses, and gets a mixed but loud reaction. Austin out, whip is reversed, and Austin goes flying into the timekeeper, knocking over one of the Spanish announcers. Bret works over Austin as they're still trying to get everyone up and untangled.  Austin is busted open here, but we don't get a glimpse of it till Bret whips him into the rail and leaves him laying for a moment. Bret smashes him into the stips. CLIP. Bret's working over Austin with punches in the corner. Austin stops that with a low blow kick. Vince: "I'm not so sure it wasn't deserved." Corner whip, Bret goes in chest first, and Austin's fired up. Bret thrown in the corner, kicks him down, and gives him some finger signals. Austin setup on the top rope. Austin up with him, superplex! Austin's hurting just slightly less than Bret, and now the blood is bad enough that they switch to black and white and Vince apologizes for it. Austin brings Bret out to the apron, and leaves the ring - he wants some electrical extension cord. Austin wraps it around Bret's neck and tries to choke him with it - but Bret gets him with the ringbell! Crowd goes nuts.  Bret picks Austin's ankle, and grabs both legs. Sharpshooter! Austin won't give - Shamrock's asking him if he'll give, but he won't - there's the famous shot of him refusing to give up with the blood all over his face. Austin's fading, not responding to Shamrock's questions. Crowd chanting for Austin as Shamrock threatens to end the match if Austin won't respond - Austin firing back up! Can he break it? He did! Or he didn't! It's in wrecked shape, but Bret pulls him back and wrenches it. Austin won't give, but he's got no other option. "STEVE, DO YOU GIVE UP? ANSWER ME OR I'LL STOP THIS MATCH?" No answer. (9:11) Crowd cheers as JR yells that Austin never gave up. Bret looks less than satisfied. Austin lays out on the mat - we don't get to see him give Stunners to the refs.

WWE HOF: Bret Hart

WWE HOF: Mean Gene

Josh sends all the way back to 1984, to Mean Gene's first match.

From TNT: Hogan trains Mean Gene for the match. Raw eggs, yum. Hogan is anti-carbohydrates years ahead of the trend. Working out to a cover of Walk This Way. Running the steps of the arena. Lots of talk about doing this for the Twin Cities and Upper Wisconsin! Wheel barrow climbing the stairs. Here's a Rocky bit for fun. (4:33)

Hulk Hogan & Mean Gene vs George "the Animal" Steele & Mr. Fuji (1984.08.26, clips) - Hogan brings in a chair, which seems unfair. Is this post match? Hogan, wearing blue!, pulls off Gene's shirt to make him pose. Ah, here's the clips. Fuji runs into Gene on the apron, and Hogan slams Gene on top of Fuji for the pin (about :15) Some post match fun and posing.

WWE HOF: Sherri

SNME (1991.04.27): Mean Gene talks to Ted Dibase and Sherri, who's looking extra Scary here. What the heck is with the eyebrows? Ted's says Bret got where he is by having a lot of heart, but money > heart. Sherri says money's is everything, but is the only thing. More Money = better man. I'm learning so much. Ted reminds us he hurt Piper at WM7 and hurt Virgil whenever, and promises a crutch for Bret.

Ted Dibase (w/Sensational Sherri) vs Bret Hart (already in the ring) - Your announcers are Vince, Savage and Piper, who retorts to Dibase's comments. CLIP. Dibase working over Bret with punches. Corner whip, reversed, Dibase rebounds out into a hiptoss. Off the apron, clothesline, clothesline again. Bret's fired up, clothesline takes Dibase to the floor. Bret turns around again, and this time goes out after him as Piper pleads for him not to make this mistake. Bret's advancing on Sherri, and Sherri's backing off. Dibase out after him - apron axhandle to Bret's back. Piper is incensed, and opts to join the action at ringside. Dibase brings Bret back up. Sherri has no idea Piper is standing right behind her - now she knows. Sherri's working on her backwards waking again, and we've totally lost track of the action in the ring. Piper looking under the ring - he's got a broom? Piper accuses Sherri of using the broom to fly (she's a witch and all), which is enough for Sherri to charge Piper, and get swatted by the broom a few times. Piper rides the broom around the ring and chases Sherri off. Dibase out to go after Piper, Bret out after Dibase - I don't think we're getting a result here. Bret and Dibase pounding each other in the aisle, and there's the bell. (DCO 8:32 shown)

WM21: SD! Main Event.

WWE HOF: Eddie Guerrero

Rey Mysterio (no entrance) & Eddie Guerrero vs the Basham Brothers (no entrance) for the WWE Tag Team Championship (No Way Out, 2005) - Your ref is Brian Hebner. This is during the period where they felt compelled to point out Rey and Eddie were big latino stars in the WWE every five minutes. Clipped to Rey fighting Doug off the top rope from behind him - Rey lands the moonsault bodyblock one two NO. Doug brings Rey over to his corner and tags in Danny. Forearm. Neck vice, then a chinlock. Brian and Eddie argue while Danny holds in the chinlock - apparently Eddie got some extra distance by tying the two tag ropes together for a super long tag rope. He starts to bring it in, but Rey spots him and tells him no. They argue while the Basham's make a switch. Eddie sees a Basham down, and goes up. Frog Splash? No, Eddie aborts into a roll as Doug rolls out of the way. Eddie looks at Doug, smiles, and plays dead. Doug's out of it. Grabbing Eddie, but Eddie grabs him in a small package, one two NO. Danny throws the belt in - to Eddie? Eddie throws it to Doug, and that's who Brian Hebner sees with the belt. Doug maintains his innocence and helps Brian return the belt - while Rey slides in the other one to Eddie. Brian doesn't turn around, but Doug does - and belt to the head! Rey gets Danny with a 619 as Eddie covers, one two THREE. (5:19) Rey and Eddie celebrates. Lots of post match.

Josh talks about Eddie's induction. How come we didn't get a Verne Gange match? So sad. That's it.
