Two Years Ago, Alex Beckers saw Val Venis beat Gangrel, Edge and Christian got into an argument with the Hardy Boyz during a sit down interview, then help Kaientai beat the Hardyz later on, the Kat challenges Terri to a Kat-fight at WrestleMania, the APA beats Steven Richards and Essa Rios and the Hardyz repaid the favor by costing Edge and Christian a match against Jericho and Tazz.
One Year Ago, Saturn beats Crash in a non-title match, with some help from Dean, Test beats Haku to retain the European Title, Eddie Guerrero claims that "[Test] had to cross the river to get here" in the process of challenging him to a Euro Title match for WrestleMania, and the Hardy Boyz managed to get their win back a year later. At WWFNY, Raven taught "the Germ" how to be hardcore, in one of those show long running gags that made me want to kill people.
TVPG attitude BRAND EXTENSION wrestler free open - hey, they won't have to change this, will they?
FIREWORKS. Will this be the last time we see these fireworks together? OH NO
Big Valbowski vs My Sanity - I thought he was only a Jakked phenom. I can only handle the Valbowski once a week - any more is a bad idea. You announcers are Cole and Tazz - I bet Tazz is the one who refers to "Venis" first. Even Valbowski is commenting about how repetitive this is. "I hope he picks you, Cole." Different corner, but always a corner. She's like "what am I supposed to be doing here, I forgot? Oh what witty lines you have to say. Are you done yet? Is there where I'm supposed to pull the towel? You wouldn't believe how much I paid for acting lessons to look 'apprehensive' here." "She doesn't look like she brushes her teeth much, anyway." WHAT THE HECK, Tazz? This was about 3:20 of my life wasted.
Big Valbowski vs Lance Storm - OH MY A REMATCH FROM JAKKED. MY LIFE IS MADE. I think my sanity lost that match. Lockup, no Val with a kick, right, right, right, right, right, right, right - Tazz isn't really talking (joking) about getting illegal passports here, that'd be moronic, I must be imagining that - corner whip, corner clothesline. Suplex. Lance fighting back with right off the ropes, off the ropes, and right into a boot. Cole suggest the presence of scouts and draft boards - hey, I dare 'em to have Paul Heyman and Jim Cornette (as a scout) on the screen at the same time, that'd be a fun waste of a minute or two. Val off the ropes, into a forearm. Storm off the ropes, into a clothesline. I think we're getting the pattern here. Val wisely doesn't go off the ropes, but to them, to clothesline Lance out. Tazz is worried about where he'll go. Lance on the apron, shoulder to the gut, he's not going to suplex Val to the floor on Heat, what do you know it's blocked and reversed, but Storm lands behind, kick DDT. Hey, there's the Val DDT oversell. Lance with an elbow drop. Elbow drop. Cole brings up Austin's name when talking about possible number one picks. Whip, clothesline, cover one two no. Tazz thinks Funaki will be pick number one. Elbow to the head. Again. Turnbuckle smash, forearms to the head. Val turns it around and hits punches. Corner whip, charge in, Lance kips up and escapes, then hits the jumping side kick to the back. One two no. Stomp, stomp, cover one two no. Tazz would pick Undertaker first. Cole says this will be the most important RAW in the history of RAW. Whip, head down know Val kicks it, kick to the stomach, swinging neckbreaker but Storm reverses to a Russian Legsweep. Lucha submission! This would be...the grounded Octopus hold! Tim White doesn't realize it's a submission for a bit, then starts to ask. Val's trying to in find a rope to grab but has to spin 180 degrees around to get a foot touching one. Lance lets go at 4, of course. Val with rights, off the ropes, under a clothesline, jumping shoulderblock. Here's the back elbow, elbow drop, off the ropes, knee drop combo that wouldn't be bad in WithAuthority, if back elbow was a takedown. Val goes for the Blue Thunder Bomb but Lance knows what's coming and fights out of it with elbows to the head an neck. Lance with a whip, no reversed right into the Blue Thunder Bomb. One two NO! Actually, it wasn't all that exciting. Bulldog. He's going for the Gedo Clutch again, but I'm the only one who watches Jakked and this, so only I understand the psychology of Lance slipping free before it can be put on and moving right into the Mapleleaf. Will Val make it to the ropes? YES. Fans boo. It also wasn't that exciting. Storm with another turnbuckle smash (the way he keeps working the head, you know Storm's coming up with the superkick before this is done), corner whip, reversed, Val charges into a back elbow, Storm charges into a side slam (scaring me but not getting his head up right away.) Val clutches at his head, then goes to the apron and up to the top - Storm up and punching him right in the head. Big beal. Storm with the German Suplex bridge - right on his head. One two NO! but it's a mater of time now. Lance knows it - he's signaling for Sweet Chin Music - wait, no, he's just loading the boot, SUPERKICK is caught at the last second, Val spins him around, right is blocked and Storm hits a knee, forearm to the head, off the ropes and right into a powerslam. Val going out and up one more time - is he gonna hit it this time? Money Shot hits! One Two Three. (5:45) I believe Storm is one of the few people on Earth (okay, maybe just the WWF) that would spend the match building to a move that gets blocked, and you gotta love him for it.
Backstage, Bubba Dudley is getting ready - and he's still bruised and has a black eye. D-Von Dudley shows up and Bubba discuss Stacy (she got what she deserved), how great they are (they are the best) and the split - what if they're not together anymore? D-Von probably didn't want to get this big speech when he just asked why Bubba was in a bad mood. "(whispering thoughtfully) Testify, brother, Testify." They're up next vs Kane and the Big Show. Later on, RVD vs Mr. Perfect.
the Dudley Boyz (w/Forceable Entry) vs the Big Show and Kane had nothing better to do tonight - I give the chances of the Dudleys being broken up at somewhere around ZERO. We finnaly get a look at our announcers, who wonder about the future. Is the Big Show and his gut one pick or two? I'm sorry Big Show. They're just annoying me by talking about every pick being a top one. I know that's a CRZ line but c'mon, it's never more true. Now that they're not fueding anymore, Tazz has gone back to talking about how great the Dudleyz are. Bubba and Kane start - Bubba decides the sound strategy is to slap Kane. Right. Kane's not selling this. Bubba tries again but it's blocked - wait, when did this become a Scotty/Albert vs Crash/Funaki match? Clothesline by Kane. Corner whip, charge in, clothesline. Boot to the head. Tag to Big Show. Armbar by Show, eye rake by Bubba. Tag to D-Von. Charge in by D-Von, and he gets a side slam. The arena is choking on the smoke, I bet. Corner whip, butt smash by Big Show, clothesline for Bubba. Whip, back elbow for D-Von. The straps come down - I guess this is it. Goozle for D-Von, Bubba in and he gets a Goozle (they're really looking like the Greatest Tag Team ever, as the announcers are hyping) but the Dudleys battle back with punches. Double whip, double clothesline by Show. Show covers Bubba (uh) and there's the count (uh) one two D-Von breaks it up. Kane in to get a piece of D-Von -- one shot and he's gone. Headbutt for Bubba from Show. D-Von somehow posts Kane, while Show boot chokes Bubba. Cole gets the owners and shows confused briefly, before correcting himself. D-Von tries to splash Show, but Show catches him. D-Von somehow slides down the back - double back suplex! Bubba flips him over, Kane distracts the ref, and Bubba hits the headbutt. Punches for Kane, and D-Von does the dance. D-Von gets the table, but Kane gets D-Von. Bubba tries to help - double suplex through the table? Yes - that should be a DQ but the ref is looking at Big Show. D-Von works on Big Show, including the back of his leg. Double whip, double flapjack. 3D signs all around. Are they going to do it? Kane's back at his corner already. After going through a table. Big Show battling back with headbutts. Corner whip, charge in but no one's there - D-Von jumps on his back for a sleeper, but Show walks towards his corner - but D-Von gets to his knee. Big back suplex. Are the referees going to be drafted? Tag to Bubba, tag to Kane. Kane with a clothesline. Kane with a clothesline. Whip, spinebuster. Right for D-Von, corner whip, side slam for Bubba. Big boot for D-Von. Kane going up. "Kane's on fire, Cole, he's on fire!" Top rope clothesline for Bubba. One two NO. D-Von breaks it up. Right, whip, no goozle by Kane, but Bubba breaks it up. Dudleyz call for the 3D, double whip, but kick for D-Von, goozle for Bubba, Show back in with a goozle for Bubba - DOUBLE CHOKESLAM. Kane covers one two three. (6:16) BEST TAG TEAM EVER? They just lost to a team that started fighting each other last time they teamed. Maybe this makes Kane and Show the best tag team ever. Big Show and Kane shake.
TE2 clips - they change the order of EACH AND EVERY CLIP (1:38) Still to come, RVD vs Perfect for the IC title, but next, Rikishi vs Goldust.
Stacker 2 debut of Monday - hey, if Brock Lesnar is a free agent, how can they draft him? He's not under WWF contract, he doesn't have to work for either side if he doesn't want too. If Paul Heyman was smart, he wouldn't enter Brock in the draft and pull a little J.D. Drew action.
Goldust (w/Heat is brought to you by) vs Rikishi - I'm so bored. So so bored. Rikishi MIGHT GO HIGH IN THE DRAFT. Staredown. Goldust does the breath and Riksihi backs off laughing, so Goludst pushes him and tells him he must look at him. I wonder who Goldust thinks should win at the Oscars. Rikishi's like whatever and Goldust spits at him - so Rikishi punches him. Goldust backs off and I really don't want six minutes of this. Circle, lockup, armbar by Rikishi, reversed into a Goldust headlock. Whip, shoulderblock. Goldust with a mule kick, and then some stuff. And then some mounted punches. Kick, corner whip, kick, kick, kick, right, going to the apron and then falling off the apron to hit an elbow smash. Goldust back in and Rikishi fighting back. Head down too soon and Goldust kicks it, then covers. When the announcers are saying "the nWo is back to full strength", is that a compliment to X-Pac or a shot at Hogan? Do they realize it's either? Side of the boot scrape. Punches. Ooh, he walked right into the belly to belly suplex. Off the ropes, legdrop. Rikishi's taking is time - kick by Goldust as he comes in. again. Rikishi comes in for a third time, misses a clothesline and gets a reverse neckbreaker one two no. Right, corner whip, reversed, thrust kick. Pulling Goldust into the corner - is the crowd loud because they know what's coming or because someone's running in? Bonzai drop hits. One two three. (3:06) Thank god this wasn't six minutes. Next, recaps from RAW
Hogan/Rock. (4:00) Tazz reads off his piece of paper. Coming up next, RVD vs Mr. Perfect. It's almost over!
Lugz IC Title Win of Last Sunday.
Mr. Prefect (w/Backlash is brought to you by) vs Rob Van Dam (w/Forceable Entry) for the InterContinental Title - Lockup, push RVD in the corner, chop, chop, corner whip, reversed, charge in with a shoulder, shoulder pointless flip (no roll) and shoulder. Perfect rolls out. Cole has absolutely no idea what will happen Monday and is throwing ideas out there as possibilities, for the lack of anything else to hype. Perfect brought up to the apron, turnbuckle smash is blocked an Perfect hits his own. Charging forearm. Kick, forearm, snap mare. Running neck snap. Cole manages to remember that X-Pac is good friends with Hall and Nash tonight. Abdominal stretch - is he gonna grab the ropes? Cole: "Color analysis doesn't mean you sit in a tanning bed all week long and get you color for the analysis role." Well, besides that whole "sit in the bed" deal, nice shot there Cole. RVD hiptosses out, rights, whip, reversed, Perfect puts his head down so RVD flips over, jumping side kick is ducked, waistlock by Perfect, RVD back elbows out, off the ropes, under a clothesline, jumping spin kick. Kicks and punches in the corner, thrust kick. Rolling Thunder. Pulling Perfect in the middle one two foot on the ropes. Right, right, corner whip, rolling into a monkey flip but Perfect pushes him down and covers, with his feet on the TOP rope, one two no it's noticed. RVD with a standing spin kick, going up - Five Star Frog Splash. Rolling over to cover one two three. (3:06) RVD will be HIGH.
THE BIGGEST RAW EVER! TOMORROW! WATCH IT! LATER!
