Boot Camp is still the same show it was last week.

Last week: Jackson got annoying. Moretty was squad leader and the squad completed it's mission, so she got amnesty. Whitlow tried to get Moretty to vote out Brown, but she confessed and they all turned their attention towards Jackson instead. So did Moretti - turning on Jackson after telling him when he said he wouldn't. At the same time, Wolf turned on Moretti - he just didn't know about it. Remember that for later. Not knowing about all this (or maybe assuming Wolf was the turncoat), Jackson stayed loyal to somebody and took Brown. We're down to the Final Four: Moretti, Moretty, Wolf and Whitlow.

Day 25, 2215 - Fire Pit. This must've been just after they returned from Dismissal Hill. Whitlow was sad to see Jackson go. Moretti says that out of everyone (except Brown), he felt he could trust Jackson the least. Which is odd, because Jackson proved himself to be the only one worth trusting. Wolf tells us that everyone who is left has done something crappy - Moretti said he wouldn't vote for Jackson and he did. I think Wolf's trying to explain away what he did. Moretti says to us he couldn't take a chance - he had to vote for someone who wouldn't take him and he knew Jackson wouldn't. Wolf claims to us that he was shocked, because Moretti can't be trusted anymore. Back at the fire pit, Moretti says he wishes everyone could be honest. Whitlow says it's hard for some people to be honest. Moretti says this is the first time he's voted that he doesn't feel good.

Day 26, 600 - Wake Up. That can't mean much sleep. And now all the Drill Instructors are in the bad mood - perhaps realizing that they only have a few more days to screw with the recruits like this, they're going to get in everything they can. The DIs run everyone ragged, messing up the rooms and making the make and remake beds, just making them wish they died in their sleep and all. We see McSweeny jumping up and down on a bed while he's yelling at them, I dunno why. Every bed gets unmade so they can remake it. Francisco says it's the final four, so its' time to mess with them a little bit. Moretti looks out of it in the bathroom and says he can't breathe. And gives himself a weird look in the mirror.

630 - Morning Chow. Or not. The Mess Hall is now closed - they'll eat MREs (Meals Ready to Eat - army rations and not good food) for the next few days. Even better, they get one MRE per day, so they have to ration them up long enough to last the day.

Out on the dock, the recruits complain about the meager food amounts and their injuries. Moretti says he can't breathe again. Wolf says he doesn't know how they're going push them with no energy.

800 - New Squad Leader. Because she hasn't been it so far, and she's the only one, by default, Whitlow gets to be leader and gets the chance at amnesty. Which is an advantage, unless someone decides to turn on her (which was heavily pushed in the ads for this week's show - as it was last week.)

830 - Physical Training. Wolf tells us that he can't go into a mission trying to throw it. Moretty says she wouldn't do it - you have to draw a line some place. Whitlow says she feels very confident being squad leader - she kept putting off being squad leader so she could be one at the end and it worked out.

1345 - Obstacle Course. Wolf tells us that there's more than one way to get to this point - they all came the different parts. Moretty tells us that she thinks she could win. Back on the Obstacle Course, Moretty loses grip of a post and falls on to a bench. "What hurts?" "Right here!" "What?" "My butt, sir!" While she goes for medical help, Moretti tells us that Moretty probably is the worse recruit of the four left because she has a hard time concentrating. Moretty says she worked hard, physically and mentally - but it just happens to be fate, who's here and who's gone.

1915 - Mission Training. They're doing it a night to learn how to operate and survive in the night. There's fire starting and land navigation (learn how to use a compass and how long 100 meters is when you're just using your pace to count.) Then comes finding food for survival when they have no other alternatives: Francisco found some food - earthworms. Yeech. And then eats one. And then he makes everyone else eat one. YEEEECH. When did this become Survivor? Wolf has the biggest problem with doing it - everyone else just does it as fast as possible to get it over.

Day 27, 1430 - Mission Day, Reward/Punishment. Must've been a slow day. Anyway, they're out in the "pit" sand field in front of the barracks, and DI McSweeny has helpfully drawn out letters to spell the reward. "RITZ" As in, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, where they'll get to spend a night if they win. Whitlow's not wearing her red Squad Leader shirt. McSweeny rubs out part of the R to explain their punishment - "PITZ" They'll be sleeping on the sand - and probably doing oh so fun exercises before they sleep. If they actually get to sleep.

1500 - Mission Briefing. This is actually complex and long, so I'll describe it as it comes. The main details is that they've got four checkpoints to hit and obstacles to over come at those points over five miles and two hours. Remember that Whitlow is in the final two if the mission is successful.

The mission starts, and they have some problems finding which way to go, but Wolf manages to get to the first check point. Once there, they must use sandbags to cross a field. The sandbags aren't filled yet, and if they touch the field (and not a sandbag), they get a time penalty. Wolf suggests that the only need five sandbags filled - they just pass the unused from the back to the front to move on. Seems quicker than filling up a lot of sandbags, and they pass the obstacle with no problem. They get to Checkpoint 2, rappelling down a ravine. Wolf again takes charge, going first and guiding Whitlow down. (She makes a face during this which was used to back the "the mission goes bad" promos but it doesn't seem especially noteworthy here.) Wolf goes ahead again, as Whitlow waits for the rest of the squad to descend. They make it down with 2 with an hour left. They don't show us much running to Checkpoint 3, as they're there quickly. The obstacle there - the recruits get two boards, one for their left feed and one for the right, and have to use them to all cross over a field at the same time - reminds me of an old Nintendo Power Pad game I had. This doesn't seem to be much of a problem - this time it's Whitlow leading the group with her orders. They finish that with 21 minutes left, and one mile to go to the last check point.

Wolf again ahead, find the last checkpoint - a secret military installation. Whitlow gets the final instructions - hidden around the installation are four glowsticks. They must retrieve all four and get on the truck before time runs out. I think Whitlow got some directions about where the glowsticks are located, because in the ensuing search, they make mention of a building they need to find. Moretty finds the first glow sticking. Moretti can't find anything. Wolf finds a second one. With two minutes remaining, Moretty finds a second glowstick. Wolf find the last glowstick four second later, and tells everyone to go to the truck. Which turns out to be not that far away, as everyone's on with a minute left. Whitlow is in the Gauntlet. She tells us that she didn't want to get too excited about it, because she was sitting with three other people who might not make it. Wolf congratulates Whitlow, then tells us how much he saved Whitlow's amnesty, single handedly. Whitlow says that everyone worked together, Wolf didn't do it alone.

There's a "Coming Up Clip" here that shows Rosenbum telling Whitlow "Don't every tell anyone that I trained you, because that would embarrass me" and Whitlow crying. Make a note of that.

2330 - Ritz Arrival. While they're pulling up (still in the back of the truck, still in the camouflage and gear), Whitlow asks Moretti the one thing he wants the most here. He says food. He's not a big fan of the rations. They look so funny marching in the hotel in military gear, but they get lead in. They're all in the awe of the suite - then McSweeny and Rosenbum walk in from the balcony to scare them. They get rules for the night: No leaving the rooms, no TV, no radio, no phone and the only food they get to eat is their rations. Moretti looks like he found out his cat died. Skip ahead - Moretti is checking every cabinet to see if there just happened to be any food, but no luck. He's not happy about that. Whitlow is happy about her muscle development. Morreti is still sore about the food. Moretti complains about the food to the camera. Wolf says he thought tonight would be fun, but he's just tired now. Whitlow checks on her ankle - I guess it's still sore. We look at McSweeny watching to make sure no one's leaving the room.

Day 28, 830 - Wake Up. They got to sleep in! The DIs are impressed - everyone's ready, the beds are made up without even asking. And, since their rations are low, the Drill Instructors have some supplement MREs - a big Ritz-Carlton breakfast for the recruits. As soon as they get teh chance, they race over and dig in. Whitlow: "The best prize for a winning mission yet." Like there's gonna be another mission? They devour the food. Moretti and Moretty joke about taking some of the left over food home with them. Moretti says that he's happy to be left with the four of them. Wolf says to us the only thing that would be better would be McSweeny fanning them - but they'll worry about that after the Gauntlet. The Drill Instructors return - and ask if anyone took any food in their packs. They all say no. McSweeny warns them that if they took any food, they'll be in deep trouble. Again, they say they didn't. So...

1315 - Contraband Search. Of course someone did. It turns out a pillow mint is missing. So, they're going to turn both barracks up side down looking for it. It looks they even go through everyone's foot locker, even those who have already left (and their stuff is still inside, odd.) Finnaly, Rosenbum finds it Whitlow's foot locker. Rosenbum yells at her, than makes her hold it in her mouth while he looks for any thing else she might have taken.

Now everyone's in the pit, doing exercise. All the Drill Instructors yell at Whitlow for lying. All the recruits have to do more exercises as punishment. Now McSweeny repeats the "Don't every tell anyone that I trained you, because that would embarrass me" line and Whitlow's not crying - she's not even wearing what she was when she was crying. That's some evil editing.

1445 - Sneak Attack. You know those imaginary submarines they've been on a look out for? This is an imaginary invasion, I think. The recruits get to crawl on the ground (looking out for an enemy) to the beach. While they do this, Wolf tells us about the game being ruthless, Moretti says Wolf is the most ruthless and Wolf says he takes nothing back. Now they have to walk along a pole over the water. Whitlow tells us that she wants to see Wolf to leave, as he's the most dishonest. Moretti doesn't want to vote for Wolf because Wolf's never turned on him. If Wolf did, it would be an easier decision. Of course, Wolf did and Moretti just doesn't know it. Moretty says to us she would have voted for Wolf a long time ago, but figured she might get taken. Now that she's running out of options, "Wolf is the only choice, really." Wolf tells us that he didn't come to do anything but win.

1545 - Tasks. Wolf and Whitlow have to clean up the Pit. Moretty and Moretti are on Alligator Watch - chat time for them, really. We hear them talk, but we're looking from far enough away that it's tough to tell if the visual scene actually spoken words. The gist of it is that they both agree that Wolf cannot go on. Moretti doesn't want to be in a position to take anyone - he'd feel bad about taking Wolf. Wolf tells us that he's not going to tell Moretti that he voted for him. Wolf tells us that he's closest to Whitlow at this point. Whitlow tells us that she wants Wolf gone. Oops. Wolf says it'd be most fitting to see the two of them in the final.

1930 - Dismissal Night. Back at the barracks, McSweeny says tonight means two more goes, but they're gonna keep the flag to remember them all. Moment of silence

2100 - Dismissal Hill. Four are left. After tonight, two are left and they'll be competing for $500,000. Whitlow has amnesty and automatically moves on. Voting time. We don't get to see who Moretti voted for, but his evaluation list has himself, Whitlow, Wolf and Moretty in that order, first to last. Wolf votes. Moretty votes. Whitlow speaks but doesn't say much.

Time for Rosenbum to relive the recruit. When asked, Moretti says he's the most disciplined recruit. Rosenbum asks Whitlow if amnesty is feeling good to her - she says yes. Wolf stumbles on his line, but says it's in the hands of the other recruits. Moretty says she's nervous and hopes not to be dismissed. Rosenbum walks behind the recruits, and sneaks up on Wolf.

Rosenbum (whispering): Guess what, Wolf.
Wolf: (gulps, blinks, looks pissed off, says nothing)
Rosenbum (whispering): Guess what, Wolf.
Wolf: Yes sir!
Rosenbum: Want to take a guess Wolf?
Wolf: No sir!
Rosenbum: You're still here. (Pause) It's not you.

Wolf looks relieved, I look depressed. Rosenbum goes over to Moretti - he's voted out. Wolf is relieved again. We lok at the votes - everyone but Moretti voted for him. Would have been nice if they set that up AT ALL. Geeze. All about the swerve, this show. Moretti says he's surprised he was there, but he obviously got out strategize. Moretti says he regrets that he has to take someone with him and he's friends with both of them. Wolf gulps again. Moretti says that he hopes whoever he takes understands. Moretti gets all chokes up when thanking the drill instructors - everyone's a little emotional, knowing it's almost over.

Moretti picks - Moretty. I was too busy yelling at my TV to hear the explanation the first time, but he says Wolf is the better recruit. Moretty is crying as she takes her position. They're escorted off, instead of standing there. Instead, Wolf and Whitlow are standing there - and are told that the Gauntlet starts now.

Next week - the Gauntlet (which will stretch over two weeks) starts.  7 grueling events. An ultimate test of mind and body. Whitlow and Wolf are frustrated, angry and out of energy in various clips. Then, the final vote on the Dismissal Hill with the 6 recruits (Pupo, Thomson, Hutak, Yaney, Brown and Moretty) Looks like everyone gets to say something - we hear a snip of Brown saying she heard arrogance from Wolf and didn't trust Whitlow, while Yaney saying "not taking responsibility is going to cost you" - THE ROPE! Oh wow, that's gonna be interesting if that actually happens. "The winner of Boot Camp is Recruit..."

I don't know who I want to win. Maybe that's better - I won't feel sad if/when they fall apart next week.
