1) Vampiro Metalico b Celestial
2) Kid Tiger & Puma King b Trauma I & Trauma II
3) Astro Boy, Suicida, Turbo b Black Thunder, Dr. Karonte Jr., Fantasma de la Ópera
4) Black Terry, Hijo de Cien Caras, Masada b Esfinge, Negro Navarro, Yamato
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Máscara Sagrada b Damián 666 & Halloween

No Perro; he way way overbooked this day. No Rayman either, and much of the undercard was shuffled and changed. Yamato and Masada feuded. The recap was a little surprised that Japanese people would fight each other. Suicida and Fantamsa agreed to a title match.

They’re taking Thursday off for Good Friday (?), so the next show is Sunday.

IWRG (SUN) 04/08 Arena Naucalpan
1) Puma King vs Black Stone
2) Antaris, Freelance, Turbo vs Trauma I, Trauma II, Vampiro Metalico
3) Kai & Yamato vs Masada & Okumura
4) Fantasma de la Opera vs Suicida [IWRG IC WELTER]
5) Alex Koslov, Electroshock, Marco Corelone vs Damian 666, Halloween, Hijo de Cien Caras

CMLL (MON) 04/02 Arena Puebla
1) Forajido & Super Star b Fuerza Tiger & Muecielago
2) Espiritu Maligno, Toro Bill, Toro Bill Jr. b Ares, Fuerza Chicana, Furia Chicana
3) Arkangel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Ohara, Shigeo Okumura b Coco Blanco, Coco Rojo, Coco Verde, Leono
4) Felino, Heavy Metal, La Máscara b Ephesto, Mephisto, Terrible
5) Alex Koslov, Lizmark Jr., Shocker DQ Atlantis, Máscara Año 2000, Último Guerrero

Shocker filled in for Marco, so he does still know how to get to Arena Puebla. Rudo fans chanted at him to go back to AAA. Loco Max snuck in a foul on Coco Rojo in the tercera, and there were challenges for a hair match.

indy (SUN) 04/01 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [RFC]
1) Black Nazi & Tequilita b Larry Miranda Jr. & Mini Payaso Zero
2) Borrico & Burrito b Erin Snake & Marrullero
3) La Kalaka & Sky b Guerrero Griego & Master Boy
4) Aero Boy, Aracnido, Silver Star b Al Barone, Ejecutor, Vudu
5) Casanova & Konan King b Humberto Garza Jr. & Super Konan
6) Golden Boy L Konnan King and El Hijo del Solitario and el Hijo Del Anibal [hair]

Konnan King beat Golden Boy.

indy (TUE) 04/03 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [rfc]
1) Toro Blanco vs Corazon Adicto
2) Sky vs Loco Tormenta
3) Potro Jr. vs Ejecutor
4) Konan King vs Super Konnan
5) Casanova vs Golden Boy

In Tabasco, the Acuario promotion is suspending activity, claiming the local commission, the building owners, and the other local promotion are working together to make it impossible for them to run shows without losing a bunch of money. At least they figured this out and stopped running shows.

indy (MON) 04/02 Auditorio Municipal de Tampico [El Sol de Tampico]
1) Corsario Blanco, Impulso, Loco Castillo b Arana Malgina I, Arana Maligna II, Disturbio
2) Caricia, La Chamagol, La Parkita b Calaquita, Lady Warrior, Lalo El Exotico
3) El Bronco, Hijo de Anibal, Huracan Ramirez b Coco Blanco, Coco Rojo, Coco Verde
4) Groon XXX, Hijo del Santo, Rayo de Jalisco Jr. DQ Blue Demon Jr., Hijo de Anibal, Ice Killer

Hijo de Cien Caras, Cien Caras Jr., and Angel Blanco Jr. were MIA from this card. The newspaper report says they were pulled due to the Santo/CMLL fall out. I’m thinking those three aren’t being booked by CMLL, but would like to be.

LUCHAS 2000 (SAT) 05/05 Arena Mexico [Santo Rey]
1) Cerebro Negro vs Danger, Extreme Tiger, Flash, Freelance, Leono, Mascara Purpura, Mictlan, Super Nova, Texano Jr., Valiente, Virus [ciber]
2) Hijo de Rey Misterio & Rey Misterio Sr. vs Stuka I & Stuka Jr. and Misterioso II & Misterioso Sr. and Volador Jr. & Volador Sr. [torneo]
3) Hijo de Mascara 2000 & Mascara 2000 vs Hijo de Lizmark & Lizmark Sr. and Cien Caras & Hijo de Cien Caras and Rayman & Rayo de Jalisco [torneo]
4) Villano III vs ? [hair]

This is the annual Luchas 2000 show, though they’ve been held at Arena Coliseo previously. I’m not completely sure if that’s supposed to be two different tournaments, or one combined one. It’s a father/son thing, though in some cases that’s not true – the Stukas are brothers, one much younger than other. Hijo de Mascara 2000 is a new (fake?) son of Mascara Ano 2000, not the one who’s been in IWRG. Rayman and Rayo teaming together is interesting – you think it’s possible it’s a new Rayman?

Not sure what the deal is with the main event, if someone’s losing their way in to that spot or what.

Is Dragon still running on the 12th? That’d be back to back three show weekends.

03/23: Mexico change, AULL, Tijuana

Ovaciones notes a change in tonight’s lineup…

CMLL (FRI) 03/23 Arena Mexico
1) Mini Olimpico & Ultimo Dragoncito vs Mini Violencia & Pierrothito
2) Leono, Maximo, Sagrado vs Goto, Ohara, Okumura
3) Alex Koslov, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Misterioso II
4) Atlantis, Sangre Azteca, Ultimo Guerrero vs Hector Garza, Mr. Aguila, Perro Aguayo Jr. [CMLL TRIOS]
5) Marco Corelone, Mistico, Shocker vs Black Warrior, Olimpico, Universo 2000

Little late in the week to suddenly be making the semifinal a title match, but that’s what we’ve got. CMLL’s been pushing the idea of Sangre getting called up to the big leagues here and having a change to stick with GdA if he performs well – I think winning the trios titles would qualify. (Though I’m betting against a title change.)

Alexis put the poster for next week’s Dos Leyendas show here. Note that with Santo split from CMLL, they’ve changed one of the legends. Tickets are $5 to $27.

AULL (SAT) 03/17 Arena Lopez Mateos [the gladiatores]
1) Chico de Barrio b Aguila Azteca
2) Angel de Fuego & Euforia b Syka & Yakuza
3) Tortuguillo Ninja I, Tortuguillo Ninja II, Tortuguillo Ninja III b Mini Angel, Mini Demonio, Mini Rebelde
4) Ogun, Robin Maravilla, Terry 2000 b Conde Bartok, Negro Navarro, Psicopata
5) Alex Koslov, Hijo de Lizmark, Villano III b Black Warrior, Okumura, Satanico

Lizmark Jr. was LATE, so they had a break to wait for him. Dandy did commentary and teased fights with Satanico and Villano III (the IWRG fued) after the match. The AULL Tag Team Tournament ends on 03/31

AULL (SAT) 03/31 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Hermano Muerte I & Hermano Muerte II vs Samba & Venum
2) Dr. Karonte I & Dr. Karonte Jr. vs Sasaky & Yakuza
3) Pierroth Jr., Sadico, Satanico vs El Dandy, Gallo Tapado Jr., Ultimo Gladiador
4) Cerebro Negro & Fantasma de la Opera vs Epidemia & Robin Maravilla and Dravek I & Dravek II [AULL TAG, FINAL]
5) Hiroka & Mima Shimoda vs Dark Angel & India Sioux
6) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mistico vs Mr. Aguila & Perro Aguayo Jr.

First person to figure out the brackets for this tag tournament wins.

Veneno and Diablo sing the US anthem

indy (SAT) 03/17 Deportivo Moctezuma [The Gladiatores]
1) Celestial b Incognito
2) Trauma I & Trauma II b Ninja de Fuego & Puma King
3) Avisman & Bacteria b Freelance & Kid Tiger
4) Coco Blanco, Coco Rojo, Coco Verde b Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro, Negro Navarro
5) Felino, Heavy Metal, Spiderman b Hijo de Diablo, Veneno, Villano IV

Ovaciones has a story about Super Crazy in it’s print edition, but it doesn’t appear uploaded. ESTO has an article seemingly about Super Crazy, but the text is the Arena Mexico preview. Conspiracy!

indy (FRI) 03/23 Auditorio de Tijuana Lineup
5) Damian 666, Halloween, Terrible vs Fobia, Angel Mensajero, Psycho

This is a commission run charity show for the local asylum.

More Santo vs the Enemies of the Sea articles – ESTO, Cambio Sonora, Todito. EHUI has a general Santo article.

Wrestlers in Tuxtla Gutierrez are trying to get their new local Comision de Lucha Libre certified by the national commission. They’ve split from the boxing commission. (El Heraldo de Chiapas)

Pulso SLP talks to Rossy Moreno, Princesa Blanca, Marcela, and Martha Villalobos about women in lucha libre.

La Voz has an article about updated version of Guerrera de Titanes in Argentina, calling itself 100% Lucha.

The Gladiatores posted edition #34 today. I want to point you to the IWRG 03/15 show – scroll down to the semimain, and look at all the empty seats.

03/18: Naucalpan, Merdia, Accion

IWRG (THU) 03/15 Arena Naucalpan
1) Celestial b Extrano
2) Aguila Oriental, Ave Fenix, Kid Tiger b Black Jaguar, Black Stone, Comando Gama
3) Kraneo, Trauma I, Trauma II b Freelance, Kai, Yamato
4) Dandy & Negro Navarro b Villano IV & Villano V
5) Bestia Salvaje, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Veneno b El Dandy, Esfinge, Villano III

Villanos turned rudo, with Villano III returning to attack El Dandy in the semimain and those two not working together in the main event. IWRG says the Traumas are on a 18 match winning streak, and it’s Sunday so I’m not doing the research.

AAA ARONJA (SUN) 03/18 Poliforum Zamna de Merida [El Mitomano]
1) Angel Infernal & Estrella de Fuego b Imperio Dorado & Imperio Maya
2) Halcon Rojo, Halcon Rojo Jr., Lobo Salvaje b Amenaza Roja, Cobraman, Coloso
3) Laredo Kid, Nemesis AAA, Rey Cometa b Alan, Decnnis, El Brazo
4) La Parkita, Martha Villalobos, Pimpinela b Mini Psicosis, Polvo de Estrellas, Tiffany
5) Gronda II, Intocable, Mascara Divina b Chris Stone, Hator, Scorpio Jr. [cage]

It’s always weird to see posts like (the actual) Hijo de Santo on leaving a message to listen to him on the radio, so you can hear his side of the CMLL fallout. Did anyone hear this? Is it different from what he said ?

Accion had

CMLL: Hector/Perro/Damian vs Alex/Marco/Shocker – Baby Richards is wearing Orange? Almost all High Society spots. Corelone does the hipswivel, and Perro fouls him. Seems fair enough.

AAA: Apache/Polvo/Fabi/Mini Chessman vs Billy/Pimpi/Sexi Star/Octagoncito from Tlaxcala. Octagon has a nice springboard tonillo. Funny how the skeletal replay shows a six sided ring – this week, they’re in a four corner one. Apache fouls Billy for the win, and that’s that.

Nothing on Santo, as far as I saw.

03/05: Coliseo, IWRG, Monterrey, Magazines

CMLL

Ovaciones dismisses the idea of Mistico going to WWE, saying he’s locked into a contract with CMLL. I’m glad that’s over. (not) It is nice people are daring to mention it. Ovaciones actual point here is suggesting that major companies respect each other’s contracts, which they should but – it’s the WWE, they don’t.

CMLL (SUN) 03/04 Arena Coliseo [cmll, ova]
1) Mini Olimpico & Shockercito b Fire & Sombrita
2) Fabian el Gitano, Starman, Tony Rivera b Apocalipsis, Hooligan, Ramstein
3) Leono, Tigre Blanco, Tigre Metalico b Hijo de Pierroth, Mogur, Mr. Mexico
4) Olimpico, Pierroth, Universo 2000 b Dos Caras Jr., Lizmark Jr., Marco Corleone
5) Mistico, Shocker, Volador Jr. b Averno, Black Warrior, Mephisto

Universo fouled Marco to pick up the win that match. Befor the tercera, Mogur said he’d only agree to a hair match with Leono if Leono beat him clean – so Leono did.

IWRG (SUN) 03/04 Arena Naucalpan [ova]
1) Aguila Oriental & Celestial b Extrano & Mr. Randal
2) Airon Boy & Antaris b Sadico & Vampiro Metalico
3) Kai, King Boy, Yamato b Kraneo, Peligro, Sadico
4) Bestia Salvaje, Black Terry, Veneno b Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro, Suicida
5) El Dandy DQ Villano IV

IV replaced III in the main event. Dandy claims Villano III is a coward. Rudos left the tecnicos(/IWRG Trios champs) bloody in the semimain.

Hoy Laredo hypes up a match between Konan Big and Mario Bezares tonight in Arena Cuartro Caminos.

Torreon’s Box Y Lucha Comission is shutting down shows starting next weekend if everyone doesn’t get licensed. They’re allowing people to license at the arena on Monday and Thursday, but after that, everyone’s in trouble. (El Siglo de Torreon) Someone at this paper should maybe ask a promoter or a wrestler about this at some point – why aren’t they licensed? If the commission is a powerless group that just rants to the newspaper, that’s a story too.

indy (SUN) 03/04 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [rfc]
1) La Pulga & Ricochet b La Furia & Payaso Loco
2) Corrico, Gardenia, Rosa Salvaje b Armageddon, Burrito, Rey Apostol
3) Difunto I & Difunto II b Corazon Adicto & Sky and Androide & Rey Sagitario
4) Hijo de Espanto II, Pancho Tequila, Potro Jr. b Black Dragon, El Original, Golden Boy
5) Konnan Big b Axxel, Hijo de Solitario, Hijo de Anibal [FILL MIDDLE]

As I read it, Axxel filled in for Rayo de Jalisco Jr., who missing absence when he was due to lose a title, huh. Axxel was FILL Middleweight Champion, who knew? Konnan Big picks up the title, so he’s been FILL Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, and Middleweight champion over a short time, and in that order. Did Monterrey put in Wellness Program?

AAA (SUN) 03/04 Plaza de Toros La Esperanza [marcomejia2, rfc]
1) Rey Imagen & Virutal X b Euforia & Iron
2) Orus & The Mummy b Apolo Negro & Ben Hur
3) Mini Chessman & Mini Psicosis b Mini Path Finder & Octagoncito
4) Humberto Garza Jr. & Xochitl Hamada b Miss Janeth & Rey Infernal
5) Antifaz, Cirujano, Jordy Stone b Corazon de Barrio, El Brazo, Mascara Divina
6) Brazo de Plata, Chessman, Octagon b Fuerza Guerrera, Hator, Nicho

Magazines
Super Luchas 202 has Super Crazy picking up Mistico at the airport. Question for Mr. Ocampo: why do you post more of your magazine on Box Y Lucha’s forum than your own site? Super Luchas has your IWA-MS guys in AAA pictures, for those looking.
Luchas 2000 358 tease mask vs hair. They’re also teasing Lizmark Jr. rudo for what seems like the third or fourth time in the last year. Put aside that Ultimo could do a lot better than Lizmark Jr. – Julio Cesar Rivera would seem to be plugged in about these things, but this one has gotten stuck. Lucha 2000 Special 19 has moves moves moves.

I’ve figured out why Robert is getting different tag team results than I am – he’s reading a different recap (el martiente) than I am (Satanico’s Mansion.) One recap says Zumbido caused a double pin (which can’t be anything but a 1 point each draw), one recap says clean pin for Zumbido. Double pins are easy to miss if you’re not at the right angle or looking for ’em, so I tend to believe it’s a draw, but I’ll wait for AAA to confirm.

02/20: 02/23 AAA TV Lineup, IWRG

Not much going on, so I’m going to roll two posts into one. The big story today is I don’t have to eat my hat!

AAA TV (FRI) 02/23 Auditorio Jose Maria Arteaga, Queretaro Lineup
1) Rey Cometa, Pimpinela Escarlta, Estrellita, Mascarita Divina vs Kaoma Jr., Polvo de Estrellas, Tiffany, Mini Charly Manson
2) Pirata Morgan, Charly Manson vs Alan Stone & Zumbido vs Cuervo & Ozz vs Alebrije & El Brazo [AAA TAG, torneo]
3) Joe Lider, Psicosis, Crazy Boy vs Nicho, Head Hunter I, Black Bufalo
4) Fuerza Guerrera, Pirata Morgan, Sangre Chicana vs Octagon, Intocable, Zorro
5) Cibernetico, Chessman, Charly Manson vs Abismo Negro, Mr. Niebla, Histeria, Antifaz

I’m going to guess the Pirata Morgan/Charly Manson tag team is replaced or something instead of having them work twice. I have no idea why the main event is listed as 4 vs 3. They didn’t actually list the Foreign Legion guys the Mexican Powers would face, but I’m guessing.

IWRG (SUN) 02/18 Arena Naucalpan Results
1) Mr. Randal b Volcan Negro
2) Antaris, Bacteria b Black Jaguar, Vampiro Metalico
3) Coco Blanco, Coco Rojo, Coco Verde b Dr. Cerebro, Estallido, Supremo Jr.
4) Avisman, Black Terry DQ Freelance, Suicida
5) Bestia Salvaje, Black Pentagon, Pierroth b Dr. Wagner Jr., Mascara Sagrada, Villano III

Villano III turned on Dr. Wagner in the main event, helping the rudos win. Freelance accidentally hit the referee in the third fall of his match, causing the DQ. Dr. Cerebro was a tecnico fill in on the rudo side, and of course that didn’t work. He and Supremo ended up fighting.

IWRG (SUN) 02/25 Arena Naucalpan
1) Mr. Randal vs Volcan Negro
2) Antaris, Kai, Yamato vs Black Jaguar, Black Stone, Vampiro Metalico
3) Coco Blanco, Coco Rojo, Coco Verde vs Macho II, Trauma I, Trauma II
4) Freelance vs Avisman [IWRG IC WELTER]
5) El Dandy, Negro Navarro, Villano III vs Bestia Salvaje, Black Pentagon, Nosawa

El Sudcaliforniano previews an AAA show featuring the Mexican Powers vs “los Biper Revolution”.

02/14: Coliseo, Puebla, Monterrey

CMLL says they have not been contacted by WWE or any of their representatives about Shocker, Perro or Mistico leaving and joining WWE. The story, in Ovaciones, claims all rumors (especially on internet sites!) are completely false. A similiar story appears in La Prensa.

Cartoon Network will debut a new Santo cartoon (not the stuff that aired in Mexico) sometime in 2007. They don’t have a title yet, so I’m thinking late half of ’07, but there should be more specific news about this today. (ToonZone – thanks for the link.)

CMLL (MON) 02/12 Arena Puebla Results [hugo999]
1) King Jaguar, Zigma b Ares, Mr. Rafaga
2) Furia Chicana, Karissma, Toro Bill b Blue Center, Forajido, the Tiger
3) Black Terry, Dr. X, Negro Navarro b Mictlan, Texano Jr., Virus
4) La Mascara, Mascara Sagrada, Sagrado b Eclipse, Olimpico, Tarzan Boy
5) Alex Koslov, Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero b Dos Caras Jr., Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr.

CMLL (TUE) 02/13 Arena Coliseo Results [El Halcon]
1) Espiritu Maligno, Karissman b Carrona, Cobalto
2) Sensei, Starman, Trueno b Polvora, Vaquero, Zayco
3) Luna Magica, Marcela, Sahori b La Nazi, Medusa, Rosa Negra
4) Mictlan, Satanico, Virus DQ Emilio Charles Jr., Okumura, Pierroth
5) Averno, Black Warrior, Mephisto b Dr. Wagner Jr., Sagrado, Shocker

Pierroth got DQed for hitting a ref in the face with the belt. That’s fair.

indy (TUE) 02/13 Arena Coliseo Monterrey Lineup
1) Burrito b Borrico
2) Hollywood b Sky
3) Guerrero Greigo b Corazon Adicto
4) Vudu b Enrique Vera
5) Pancho Tequila b Golden Boy

5) Hijo de Espanto II vs Axel [FILL MIDDLE]
6) Konan Big vs Rayo de Jalisco Jr. [campeon de campeones]

CMLL (THU) 02/15 Arena Isabel de Cuernavaca Lineup
2) ?, Antaris vs Vampiro Metalico, Black Thunder
3) Negro Casas, Heavy Metal, El Felino vs Perro Aguayo Jr., Hector Garza, Misterioso II
4) Rey Bucanero vs Ultimo Guerrero [CMLL LH]

WAGNER (THU) 03/01 Plaza de Toros Torreon Lineup
3) Dark Angel vs Princesa Sujei
4) Hijo de Cien Caras, Venum, La Sombra vs Hijo de Pierroth, Nacho Libre, Hijo del Soberno
5) LA Park, Dos Caras Jr., Silver Kink vs Marco Corelone, Alex Koslov, Damian 666

Ovaciones also has a bio on Villano III (claiming 200 masks won and 160 hairs won, and no plan on retiring any time soon) and an interview with Halloween (hitting 20 years of wrestling on 04/07 and wants to do a show with all his old friends wearing their old gimmicks to celebrate it; more in Notimex.)

La Opinion has a long interview with Blue Demon Jr. Among other things, Demon’s offended that anyone considered the outcomes of lucha libre bouts to be fixed.

Downtown LA Scene has an article about Lucha Va Voom, which is running tonight and tomorrow in the Mayan Theater.

El Heraldo de Tabasco has an interview with Terrible Black, Thunderman Jr. and Thunderman I.
