02/16 Arena Mexico card changed

As noted by Robert in the comments

CMLL (FRI) 02/16 Arena Mexico Results
1) Mini Fantasy, Shockercito vs Mini Violencia, Pierrothito
2) Blue Panther, Lizmark Jr., Negro Casas vs Eclipse, Mascara Ano 2000, Universo 2000
3) La Mascara vs Sagrado, Sombra de Plata, Volador Jr., Metro II, Leono, Super Nova, Virus, Mephisto, Alex Koslov, Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca, Felino, Stuka Jr., Valiente, Averno [ciber, reyes de aire]
4) Atlantis, Tarzan Boy, Ultimo Guerrero vs Hector Garza, Mr. Aguila, Perro Aguayo Jr. [CMLL TRIOS]

CMLL.com notes the main event being changed to a title match and the injuries to Flash and Mascara Purpura, but doesn’t explain Corelone’s disappearance.

02/09: Mexico

CMLL (FRI) 02/09 Arena Mexico Results [ova, superluchas]
1) Molotov, Sombra de Plata b Carrona, Cobalto
2) Lady Apache, Luna Magica, Marcela b Amapola, Medusa, Princesa Sugieth
3) Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto b Blue Panther, Lizmark Jr., Satanico
4) Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila, Terrible b Atlantis, Tarzan Boy, Ultimo Guerrero
5) Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero b Black Warrior, LA Park, Marco Corelone

Shocker is MIA again, replaced by Dos. Rudos got DQed in the first fall for either excessive violence or Warrior hitting a ref (which is kinda excessive violence). In the second fall, Universo showed up to get Corelone. Park and Warrior cut him off, but it still allowed Dos to get Marco with a German suplex, and Rey beat Warrior to win the match in two falls.

Perro challenged for another trios shot after their win, and it sounds like they’ll be getting it, just not yet.

CMLL lineups are up for next week.

CMLL (FRI) 02/16 Arena Mexico Lineup
1) Shockercito, Mini Fantasy vs Pierrothito, Mini Violencia
2) La Mascara vs Sagrado vs Sombra de Plata vs Volador Jr. vs Metro II vs Leono vs Super Nova vs Flash vs Averno vs Mephisto vs Alex Koslov vs Misterioso II vs Sangre Azteca vs Felino vs Stuka Jr. vs Valiente [ciber, rey de air]
3) Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, Tarzan Boy vs Perro Aguayo Jr., Hector Garza, Mr. Aguila
4) Marco Corelone vs Universo 2000

The top two matches are both non-title matches.

CMLL (TUE) 02/13 Arena Coliseo Lineup
1) Espiritu Maligno, Karissman vs Cobalto, Carrona
2) Trueno, Sensei, Starman vs Zayco, Polvora, Vaquero
3) Marcela, Sahori, Luna Magica vs La Nazi, Rosa Negra, Medusa
4) Satanico, Mictlan, Virus vs Pierroth, Okumura, Emilio Charles Jr.
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Shocker, Sagrado vs Black Warrior, Averno, Mephisto

CMLL (SUN) 02/18 Arena Coliseo Lineup
1) Mini Olimpico, Bracito de Oro vs Sombrita, Fire
2) Valiente, Super Nova, Flash vs Hooligan, Apocalipsis, Ramstein
3) Texano Jr., Virus, Leono vs Mogur, Nitro, Arkangel
4) Blue Panther, Mictlan, La Mascara vs Misterioso II, Alex Koslov, Ephesto
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero, Dos Caras Jr. vs Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, Olimpico

Mogur’s facing Virus and Leono on both scheduled appearances, so it’s got be a feud with one of them. Probably Leono.

No AAA results yet.

GdR:
unmasked: Bird Boy
01/26 Coliseo: Dr. X, Misterioso II, Shigeo Okumura b Mascara Purpura, Metro, Virus
02/04 Mexico: Felino, Maximo, Sagrado vs Alex Koslov, Ephesto, Apocalipsis

I screwed up the Gala listings, skipping the 01/15 taping that’s actually airing now.

02/03: Mexico, GdR

CMLL (FRI) 02/02 Arena Mexico Results [ova, Notimex]
1) Flash, Super Nova b Artillero, Super Comando
2) Mascara Purpura, Texano Jr., Virus b Arkangel, Hooligan, Loco Max
3) Averno, Mephisto, Sangre Azteca b Lizmark Jr., Maximo, Ultimo Dragon
4) La Mascara, Mistico, Volador Jr. b Damian 666, Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero, Shocker b Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Ultimo Guerrero

I’m not 100% sure about the 3 undercard results.; I’ve got the match results confirmed thru a second source.

Again, Universo appeared despite being hurt. He helped defeat Corleone, though it was Shocker’s foul that actually did it. They’re still teasing Marco as a tecnico.

Mistico beat Perro with La Mistica to win that match, and they made mask/hair challenges. CMLL thinks we might actually see that match in March for the usual big show. That’d be pretty big (and quite the counter to WWE’s tour.)

Maximo busted open Averno in the tercera, which is odd because no one bleeds in CMLL. Averno was stretched out as well. Nothing on Sangre/Ultimo.

GdR has
unmasked: Dark Angel
01/19 Mexico: Dark Angel, India Sioux, Luna Magica b Amapola, Princesa Sujei, Rosa Negra
01/28 Coliseo: Felino, Mictlan, Negro Casas b Ephesto, Misterioso II, Shigeo Okumura

02/02: Guadalajara, Box Y Lucha, Mexico

CMLL (TUE) 01/30 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara Results
1) Mileno b Virgo
2) Neon b Valentin Mayo
3) Destroyer b Exterminador
4) Mr. Power b Azazel
5) Leon Blanco b Egipcio
6) Mascara Purpura, Stuka Jr. b el Hijo del Pierroth, Emilio Charles Jr.
7) Máscara Año 2000, Pierroth, Universo 2000 b Lizmark Jr., Negro Casas, Rayman

Hijo del Pierroth turned up to foul Rayman in the main event, and Pierroth took the pin.

Random Guatamela lucha card.

Box Y Lucha posted a bunch of articles on Wednesday, and I keep forgetting to write about them.
Brazo de Plata is angry about others advertising themselves as “Porky”, or “Porkys, specifically his brothers. He feels they’re leeching off his success, and the only people who should be using his name or nicknames is himself and his son. He doesn’t believe they should even call themselves the Brazos, because the Brazos were only Brazo de Oro, Brazo de Plata and el Brazo – all the others might be brothers, but they’re all imposers. He’s okay with then calling being Nuevo Brazos, but he doesn’t want the public deceived.
Brazo de Oro clears up the family tree, except I still don’t know who/if Brazo Jr. is related too. His story of the names seems slightly different than what I’ve read before; Shadito Cruz was nicknamed “Man with the Golden Arm” for a while and Oro started out using that “Hombre de Brazo de Oro” name. Mil Mascaras complained to him that his look was too similar, so they redesigned his outfit and his name to Brazo de Oro. Porky asked his father if he could use Brazo de Plata, and his father as Oro, who said okay; same with El Brazo. When Brazo de Oro was out due to kidney surgery, Super Brazo took his place in the trio, and so on from there. I think Brazo de Oro’s point is they all got their name, directly or indirectly, from Shadito Cruz’s nickname, so they all have the right to call themselves Brazos.
Misterioso II tells his story of the fan incident. Pretty much what he said before, though he adds a few details: despite contrary reports, the fan was not a kid (he was old enough to get in a bar later that night), he missed those Coliseo shows as punishment for his actions in addition to a fine, and the fan never protested to the commission but he’s still apologizing for everything. Rambo writes about his own experiences with fans throwing stuff at wrestlers.
a list of past February deaths, including Huroki Sito (unclue of Panico and Black Cat), Acorazado Moreno (father of the AAA Morenos), El Cobarde I, and El Santo.

CMLL (FRI) 02/02 Arena Mexico
1) Flash & Super Nova vs Artillero & Super Comando
2) Mascara Purpura, Texano Jr., Virus vs Arkangel, Hooligan, Loco Max
3) Lizmark Jr., Maximo, Ultimo Dragon vs Averno, Mephisto, Sangre Azteca
4) La Mascara, Mistico, Volador Jr. vs Damian 666, Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero, Shocker vs Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Ultimo Guerrero

Ovaciones has a profile of Marco Corelone. Corelone claims that if Shocker is 1000% Guapo, that means Marco is 1000000% Guapo. The exchange rate is brutal. Esto has an article on Rey Bucanero. Rey would like to fight for Ultimo Guerrero’s mask, but figures he’d have to put up more than his hair to get a shot at – probably his whole career. Elsewhere in that paper, Rey hopes for a title/title match with Atlantis, and pushes the Corelone/Shocker feud.

CMLL is pushing the semimain as a dream team of young stars versus the Perros. Semimain should be something between Ultimo Dragon and Sangre Azteca again.

01/27: Mexico, GdR

CMLL (FRI) 01/26 Arena Mexico Results [ova]
1) Tigre Blanco, Tigre Metálico b Calígula, Mesala
2) Dr. X, Misterioso II, Shigeo Okumura b Mascara Purpura, Metro, Virus
3) Atlantis, Eclipse, Sangre Azteca DQ Blue Panther, Sagrado, Último Dragón
4) Lizmark Jr., Mascara Ano 2000, Shocker DQ LA Park, Marco Corelone, Último Guerrero
5) Dos Caras Jr., Místico, Rey Bucanero DQ el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Halloween, Terrible

Three straight DQs. At least they were all different DQs
3) Sangre was DQed for yanking off Ultimo Dragon’s mask and going crazy on him.
4) Marco was DQed for excessive violence on Shocker after already beating him
5) Perro was DQed for a foul on Rey

I think the Sangre one is going somewhere, the Marco one was just to establish him as angry man after losing his hair to Shocker, and the Perros one was a usual Perros one. Ovaciones has a story about a CMLL photographer getting in the way of a Mistico dive by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

There’s a brief article from the Antonio Pena tribute, and Ovaciones also has an interview with Sepulturero, who talks up his (non existent) chances of beating Mistico for his mask tonight.

Rematch of the preivous week, said to be good.

CMLL.com’s preview of this week’s Arena Mexico show mentions that Marco Corelone missed last week’s show due to airplane issues. Esto‘s report on the Arena Mexico couldn’t find an explanation of Dos Caras’s absence. And also LA Park still hates Arena Mexico fans.

Milenio has an interview with Super Porky – am I correct when I read that he says he’s got three sons wrestling? Porky explains he can’t lose weight, because than he’d look ugly.

Magazines:
Box Y Lucha 2802 has La Parka Jr.’s suspension.
Super Luchas #196 has an interview with the Hell Brothers
Guerreros del Ring # has Alex Koslov
Luchas 2000 352 has Mr. Niebla crotch chopping, which makes me laugh and laugh. This was posted on the Box Y Lucha forum Saturday afternoon, which kinda spoiled his debut (though I doubt many people at the taping knew about it.)

If you’ve missed the comment (or the thread over on DVDVR), LA Park & Santo versus Shocker & Blue Demon Jr. on 03/11. Sunday’s show getting a sell out proves I know nothing.

El Halcon is celebrating it’s 2nd anniversary.

So Saturday, when CMLL updated it’s news, and half of the update was “Dark Angel was really hot last night”, I just assumed they were also stretching to find something to talk about off of Friday’s show. And then I saw the pictures in Super Luchas and decided “Dark Angel was really hot last night” should’ve been the lead story. She had new gear, which appears to be a skin tight speed skating outfit, and it’s completely unfair. It’s a bitter disappointment that CMLL.com hasn’t gotten pictures from that show up yet so I could share them here. (You can see it in the Super Luchas preview.)
