As time allows, I’ll update this page with results and other live coverage worth following. I’ll have full separate posts for the shows later.

***Rey de Reyes, 2011***
1) Gran Apache, Mari Apache, Octagoncito, Pimpinela EscarlataHijo de Tirantes, Mini Histeria, Sexy Star, Yuriko
Fabi and Piero got involved to help the tecncios win.
2) Billy el Malo, Cibernético, Escoria, NygmaJack Evans, Joe Lider, La Parka, Nicho el Millionario
Billy was the non-surprise surprise. Parka bled a lot. Cibernetico used knuckles on Parka to win. Bizarros beat up Parka after the match. Psycho Circus made the save, leading into the next match.
3) Damián 666, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Halloween, Super CrazyDr. Wagner Jr., Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown
Crazy brawl. Super Crazy dived off something very high. Perro hit Wagner with a chair and double stomped him for the win.
4) ZorroCharly Manson [AAA HEAVY]
Interference from Billy and Jennifer. Zorro gave Charly a facebuster for the win.
5) Heavy MetalElectroshock [hair, bull terrier]
randomlly, a three falls bull terrier match. Electroshock won the first, Metal won the second. Electroshock hit Pepe Casas in the third, but Metal hit Electroshock with a guitar, again, for the win. Konnan, Super Crazy and Halloween beat them both up post match.
6) Extreme TigerEl MesíasLA ParkCarlito [Rey de Reyes]
Mesias and Park brawled outside until they got counted out, and Tiger pinned Carlito to win.

CMLL (FRI) 03/18/2011 Arena Mexico
***Dos Leyendas: Angel Blanco & Salvador Lutteroth***
1) Astral, Eléctrico, Último Dragoncito CO Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia, Pierrothito
Astral replaced Bam Bam. Rudos took the first. Tecnicos took the last two, winning the third via dives.
2) Diamante, Metro, Stuka Jr. DQ Euforia, Raziel, Shigeo Okumura
Tecnicos took the first, Euforia ripped off Stuka’s mask for the straight fall loss. Tecnicos brought a Fabian el Gitano shirt to the ring and pointed to the sky.

CMLL held a moment of applause to Fabian el Gitano

3) Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Último GuerreroÁngel de Oro, Blue Panther, Valiente
Rudos took the first, tecnicos took the second, rudos took the third – while Valiente dove on UG, the other two tecnicos ran straight into Atlantidas.

Ceremony for Angel Blanco. Horuz is now wearing a mask resembling his grandfather.

4) Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro CasasLa Sombra, Rush, Toscano
Toscano was wearing a “Fabian” armband. Tecnicos took the first, rudos the second, Niebla legdropped Monito in the third, Sombra hit a big tope, minis brawled, and the rudos took it.

Black Warrior appeared in between matches, to officially signal his return. He’ll be in the Gran Alternativa.

5) AvernoMáscara Dorada [NWA MIDDLE]
Dorada’s fireman’s carry powerbomb in the first, Devil’s Wings in the second. Long third fall, with Averno sneaking in a foul for the win. Black Warrior, reintroduced to the crowd before the match, attacked Averno and unmasked him after this match.

6) Terrible & TexanoMáximo & Super Porky [hair]
tecnicos won the first fall in seconds, rudos won the second, though only after nearly being beat by a Porky splash. Two different dive sequences in the third fall. Maximo eliminated Terrible, Texano eliminated Porky (maybe with a foul) and Texano escaped the kiss cradle to drop Maximo with Tornado Texano for the win.

luchablog chat: Sin Piedad Results

Chat is over. Thanks everyone for coming.

Radio CMLL is up too.

Big results will go out on Twitter as well.

Results

CMLL (FRI) 12/03 Arena Mexico [CMLL]
1) Dark Angel, Luna Mágica, MarcelaEstrellita, Mima Shimoda, Tiffany
2) Delta, Stuka Jr., ValienteEuforia, Pólvora, Sangre Azteca
3) Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, La Sombra DQ Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
4) EléctricoPequeño Warrior [mask]
5) Latino, Místico, Shocker, Strong ManAtlantis, Felino, Héctor Garza, Negro Casas
6) Rey BucaneroMr. Águila [hair]

Dark Angel replaced Goya Kong

Sangre Azteca had problems with Polvora at the end of their match. It has the feel of Sangre changing alignments.

Mephisto & Fantasma continued to feud. Tecnicos took the match in straight falls when Mephisto pulled Fantasma’s mask.

Electrico beat Warrior in about a 15 minute match, with a tapatia in the third. Pequeno Warrior was announced as Humberto Sanchez Medorio, same name he gave when he lost his mask as Mini Psicosis.

Latin Lover’s new name is pronounced “Latin-OH.” He feuded with Garza & Tirantes in the semimain. Rudos were DQed for excessive violence in the first, then Latino pinned Garza in the second.

Mr. Aguila won the first fall of the main event with help from Tirantes. Rambo, at ringside as commission representative, removed Tirantes from the match. Babe Richard took over, and Bucanero won the second with a cradle and the third with a Canadian Destroyer (which Tirantes would’ve ruled a DQ.) No runs, no interference.

RadioCMLL has clips of the top 5 matches, including the finish to the main event. That clip looks horrendous: Bucanero & Aguila botch left & right moves, including the setup to the finish. Fans were whistling as the segment started, so it probably wasn’t much better before hand. One or both were just out of it for the end game. Crowd was much quieter for this match than the main event.

Mr. Aguila did get his head shaved in the ring. The ringside doctor was checking on him after. There were at least three dives in the match (maybe in the last fall alone), and I wonder if he might have gotten shaken up on one of them. There could be other reasons for the same performance, but it was a bad result.

04/30 CMLL & AAA live results

Thru the night (here and on twitter), I’ll be posting results from both the CMLL Arena Mexico show and AAA TV taping, happening tonight. The CMLL show will probably go from 8:30-11:15 Central Time. The AAA show is scheduled to start at 8:45, will probably start a lot later than that, and will not end until some undetermined time on Saturday. I’ll be staying until the end.

(it’s either this or catch up on the last AAA I have to watch.)

places I’ll be using all night:

Of course, CMLL Magazine isn’t tweeting yet and neither of the AAA websites are even mentioning tonight’s taping. It is Friday, right?

855pm update: CMLL Magazine is updating! But neither AAA site has mentioned tonight’s taping, so I’m just presuming they’re not going live this time.

900pm update: and EstadioWeb’s Arena Mexico coverage is LIVE. Hooray.

920pm update: while the radio is on some sort of musical interlude – what is AAA’s facebook account, anyway? http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lucha-Libre-AAA would seem to be it, but that doesn’t seem updated.

958pm update: every single announcer picks Mini Warrior. Hmmm. By the way, Dos de Tres’ facebook is updating.

Results

CMLL (FRI) 04/30 Arena Mexico
1) Leono & StarmanBronco & Inquisidor (2-1)
2) Fuego & Metro b Euforia & Raziel (2-1) – bad night for Cancerbros? Metro talked about his great tag team partner, “Flash”. Name change is killing that man.
3) Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Luna MágicaHiroka, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Blanca (2-1)
4) Pequeño Warrior b Bracito de Oro [mask] (2-1)
Brazo de Oro seconded Bracito de Oro, Sangre Azteca was with Warrior. First fall for Warrior, second for Bracito, third for Warrior. In much the same way as Rosa Negra, Bracito de Oro appears to have gone done with an injury in his mask match, and it delayed the name annoucement. Roberto Rodriguez Aguirre, 45 years old, 26 years a wrestler, from Oaxaca – announcers actually spoiled it a minute early. Bracito was up and thanking the fans when they went to break.

5)  Héctor Garza & Pólvora b Delta & Volador Jr. [Gran Alternativa, final] (2-1)

Tecnicos dominated the first, but the rudos stole the fall. Tecnicos came back to win the second. Crowd is as loud for Volador as they’ve been for anyone all night. (They were behind Bracito at times, but there was also a “ole ole ole rudos rudos” chant after that match.) Long third fall, ultimately won by Polvora sneaking in a foul.

Main event is not starting until post 1120pm local time. Hope those Kids had naps.

6) Dragón Rojo Jr., Shigeo Okumura, Taichi, Último Guerrero b Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, Místico, Strong Man

Tecnicos win in straight falls? I think. Nope, I misunderstood. Rudos won, with Taichi and Okumura making a challenge for the trios titles (w/Tanahashi) next week. UH OH.

Rudos take top 3 matches – so much for Kid’s Day.

AAA TV (FRI) 04/30 Gimnasio Jose Maria Arteaga, Queretaro, Queretaro
1) Mini Abismo Negro, Rain, Tigre Cota b Atomic Boy, Fabi Apache, Octagoncito

Match featured the usual bit of Hijo de Tirantes cheating for the rudos. This time, Piero challenged Hijo de Tirantes to a match – well, other people in a match. Each ref will pick three wrestlers to represent them at TripleMania, and the losing team’s ref gets their head shaved. Wonder who refs the match? This is clearly the way extra people get on the card – something like Jack/Rocky/Laredo Kid vs Zorro/Chessman/Kenzo

(though shouldn’t someone pick the Psycho Circus? Undefeated!)

2) Aerostar & RelampagoBilly Boy & Decnnis

Rudos lost due to the unhelpful assistance of Hilario. Decnnis was not happy. I’m still confused why Hilario exists.

3)  Alex Koslov, Christopher Daniels, Joe Lider b Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans, Rocky Romero

Daniels picked up the win. After the match, Koslov and Daniels turned on Lider, beating him up on behalf of the Legion. The tecnicos made the save. I think the story is supposed to be Joaquin Roldan brought in Daniels, and is shocked to find him allying with the Legion. I can not believe Joaquin Roldan could possibly be that dumb, because no functioning human being could be that dumb.

4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown dq Chessman, Hernandez, Kenzo Suzuki

Legion seemed like they were dominating on their way to a win, but Chessman’s use of handicuffs on Psycho Clown got them DQed.

Before the next match, LA Park came to the ring to accept LA Parka Jr.’s challenge for TripleMania. He did NOT specify the stipulation.

5) Electroshock, Silver King, Último Gladiador b Dr. Wagner Jr., Octagón, Pimpinela Escarlata

Short match, Silver King beating Pimpi. Electro/Wagner is announced for the next taping. They like doing the singles match to set up the singles match.

6) Cibernético, Heavy Metal, La Parka Jr. NC LA Park, Nicho el Millionario, Zorro

Just kind of ended? A million guys hit the ring to get the Parkas apart? Vampiro came out to make the save for Zorro at some point, and Zorro gives him rosary beads, so they’re friends. HOORAY FRIENDSHIP.

That appears to be it. We’ll fill in the blanks in the morning.

We’ll be following them both and talking about whatever things are going.

You can join the chat via this link on Friday. It should start around 8:30pm Central Time.

Results/Notes So Far

Impluso & Lumino b Black Master & Disturbio Ledesma – dark match

Mini Abismo Negro wins the AAA World Minis Championship, pinning Octagoncito. Pinfall/submission elimination rules. Of note, Charly pins Chessman before being eliminated by Abismo Negro, Mascarita Divina is hurt on a dive, and Abismo pins Octagoncito for the win. Parkita and Sagrada are not mentioned as participating.

Eliminations went:

  1. Mascarita Divina (injury)
  2. Mascarita Sagrada (Mini Abismo Negro)
  3. La Parkita (Mini Histeria)
  4. Mini Chessman  (Mini Charly Manson)
  5. Mini Charly Manson (Mini Abismo Negro)
  6. Mini Psicosis (Octagoncito)
  7. Mini Histeria (Octagoncito)
  8. Octagoncito (Mini Abismo Negro)

Joe Lider & Nicho retain the AAA World Tag Team Titles. As with many matches for Lider & Nicho lately, Hijo del Tirantes helped them beat Jack & Marco. SuperLuchas says Marco hurt his leg, no idea if it was part of the match and/or serious. Update: AAA says Marco was actually hurt going into the match.

AAA beats the WagnerManiacs. Bit of an upset here, and the Wagners are apparently upset. Will they drop both matches tonight?

Latin Lover wins the AAA/Legion elimination match, pinning Zorro. He gets the shot at Rey de Reyes. SuperLuchas has the eliminations as Rocky (by Zorro), Alex (Latin), Octagon (Teddy), Teddy (Parka), Chessman (Parka), Parka (Zorro?), Zorro.

SuperLuchas has the attendance as 10,345

Sexi Star beat Fabi Apache for her hair. Read that again. Stunning. Hijo de Tirantes started the match as the ref, but Fabi refused to wrestle unless he was removed for Piero. Piero got bumped during the match, Hijo de Tirantes returned, and Rain & Jennifer Blake ran in to help Sexi Star win. So, now what?

Gran Apache came out after the match to shave his daughter’s head.

I will not lie. I had the other result written up here, ready to post. There are surprises that are surprising, and there are surprises that are surprises because they’re really dumb. This falls into the Panther/V5 category.

Konnan defeated Cibernético in a street fight. Konnan brings Teddy Hart with him to ringside, but the entire Legion beats up and bloodies Cibernetico before long. No mention of Dorian, though I guess he could’ve held people back again. In what sounds like a planned spot, a fan hit the ring to try and save Cibernetico, only to be beat up by Konnan. Parka is mentioned as coming out after the match, when Cibernetico took a stretcher ride.

Mesias beat Dr. Wagner Jr. to win the AAA World Heavyweight Championship for a third time. A long match. Wagner had wanted the match to have no rules, and that bit him – Mesias gave him a martinete, and that was enough to do it.

That’s the show. More in the morning, for sure.
