10/06: Coliseo, GDL, AAA notes, Mistico having more surgery?

CMLL (SUN) 10/05 Arena Coliseo [ovaciones]
1) Metálico & Tigre Blanco b Arkangel & Hooligan
2) Fabián el Gitano, Leono, Stuka Jr. b Ephesto, Vangelis, Virus
3) Damián 666, Mephisto, Mr. Águila b Grey Shadow, Sagrado, Volador Jr.
4) Loco Max b Tony Rivera [hair]
5) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr. b Atlantis, Black Warrior, Mr. Niebla

Loco Max beating Tony for Loco Max’s first hair is an upset, but not as a big surprise. They tipped off the finish with the note posted on CMLL.com announcing this match. Even if they didn’t, Loco’s lost his hair plenty but always to young guys who they’re trying to get more attention. Rivera’s long stop being a young guy. This seems just so next time Loco is in a hair match (which probably won’t be that long), they can point out he hasn’t lost every single one of them.

I believe Shadow listed as working is a typo on Ovaciones part, but might as well for confirmation. I suppose he could’ve finished up quick there and booked it to AAA just to say he was in both places on the same night (and then would they show it on FSE? Yea, probably.)

SuperLuchas has more on the Rocky Romero jump. Konnan had been talking to him about it for a bit, and Romero jumped because he didn’t feel CMLL was supporting him.

CMLL (SUN) 10/05 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [MT]
5) Lizmark Jr. DQ Marco Corelone

Match was worked around a knee injury to Corelone’s left knee. Sounded more like a story point for the match (and a run thru for the hair match) and not a injury that’ll take Corelone out, but it’s not totally clear. Corelone snuck in a fall with a small package, but Lizmark got him with a half crab in the third fall. Marco gave, gave some more, and Lizmark wasn’t interested in letting go, so Corelone won by DQ.

Box Y Lucha has also sorts of fun teasers for this week’s edition (#2891)
– Mistico is apparently heading back to the operation room, which sounds like he’s going to be out more
– Dos says he’s NOT vetoed from CMLL, which conflicts with what he just said two days ago.
– The Goddess interview makes it sound like she’s already lost her mask (a week early?)
– Paco Alonso is quoted, saying he doesn’t care about WWE TV coming in.

LuchandoLibre has clips of the NWA Mexico show. SuperLuchas updates injuries on the show: Super Muneco is visiting a chiropractor. Blue Demon is in a neck brace, and he and Dandy have a meeting at the DF Box Y Lucha commission tomorrow. SoloLuchas now has it’s notes on the semimain and main and

Al Filo del Ring talks to TVC Deportes about their lucha coverage (they signed a 2 year contract with WWE for RAW, and a 5 year contract with CMLL to show Arena Puebla) and Groon XXX (who says both AAA and CMLL want him and are just waiting for him to say yes, but he wants to wait six more months.) If WWE was willing to pay him what he’s worth and put him top, Groon says he’d go there too.

El Sol de Cuautla previews Tuesday’s shows. I’ll do that…Tuesday.

07/11: Coliseo, Guadalajara, IWRG, Irapuato

CMLL

CMLL (TUE) 07/10 Arena Coliseo [cmll, ova]
1) Rayo Tapatio II & Trueno b Caligula & Vaquero
2) Bam Bam, Bracito de Oro, Celestial b Mr. Aguilita, Pequeno Damian, Pequeno Halloween
3) Arkangel, Hooligan, Nitro b Fabian el Gitano, Flash, Tony Rivera
4) La Mascara, Maximo, Volador Jr. b Satanico, Texano Jr., Virus
5) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Rey Bucanero DQ Atlantis, Sangre Azteca, Universo 2000

Trueno replaced Rayo Tapaito I in the opener. No word if refunds were offered. That joke’s a lot funnier if Dos didn’t replace Negro in the main event (but still.) Universo ended up yanking Dos’ mask. No details on the minis match.

CMLL (TUE) 07/10 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Estrella de Jalisco b Destroyer
2) Guero Loco b Evola
3) Nuba Roja b Exterminador
4) Metatron b Danger (Guadalajara)
5) Metalik b Infierno
6) Malefico & Mascara Magica b El Gallo & Tigre Blanco
7) Blue Panther & Sagrado b El Egipico & Terrible
8) Marco Corelone b Ultimo Guerrero

In third fall of the main event, Ultimo pulled the ref in the path of a Marco Corelone flying clothesline. With the ref out, Ultimo whipped Marco into the corner, and went for his corner headstand sit – except Marco fouled him on the way down. Ref recovered just in time to count three.

Egipico replaced Lizmark. Panther gave Terrible the armbar again.

Magica fouled el Gallo, and Tiger Blanco was left alone and pinned.

CMLL

IWRG (SUN) 07/08 Arena Naucalpan [IWRG]
1) Samba b Vampiro Metalico
2) Macho II & Rockero del Diablo b Espacial & Halcon Salvaje
3) Fantasma de la Opera, Kai, Yamato b Coco Rojo, Coco Verde, Cocolores
4) 911, AK47, Fierro b Cyborg, Oficial, Xibalva
5) Cerebro Negro, Electroshock, Hijo de Anibal b Enfermero Jr., Hijo de Mascara Ano 2000, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr.

IWRG results from IWRG’s site, how about that. Rudo referee was helping the winning team in the tercera. The main event built the second generation Anibal vs Dinamatias feud.

AAA (MON) 07/09 Gimnasio Municipal Irapuato [El Sol de Irapuato]
1) La Parkita & Octagoncito b Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Histeria
2) Apocalipis (NWG) & Makabre b Roberto Paz Jr. & Shyru Dragon
3) Maquina Infernal L Billy Boy, Alan, Laredo Kid, Bobby Lee Jr., Prisionero 13 [mask, cage]
4) Billy Boy & La Park Jr. DQ Head Hunter I, Kenzo Suzuki, Mesias

Cibernetico missed the main event due to injuries – selling stuff of TV, maybe. Zorro was also supposed to wrestle, but they wouldn’t let him in the ring with his neck vice. Mesias ended up fouling Parka anyway.

Maquina Infernal is Isaac Rene Valadez, from Leon. Billy unmasked him in the finals of the cage match.

There’s a Mascarita Sagrada 2000 to CMLL rumor floating.

Luchas 2000 Espacial #22 is on the stars of UWA.

Today’s eSdSLP AAA preview: Mixed Tag Titles

A lucha libre influenced play, Turandot: The Rumble for the Ring is running in Sag Harbor, New York. The hero’s of the play is named El Misterio Jr.

06/02: Mexico, IWRG, Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 06/01 Arena Mexico [ovaciones, superluchas]
1) Metalico, Neutron, Stuka Jr. b Arkangel, Loco Max, Nitro
2) Flash, Sombra, Super Nova b Goto, Ohara, Okumura
3) Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V b Atlantis, Olimpico, Sangre Azteca
4) Damian 666, Hijo de Lizmark, Terrible b Dr. Wagner Jr., Marco Corelone, Mistico
5) Mr. Aguila b Sagrado [LdP, sf]

Ovaciones says the main event was the lamest match of the night. Sagrado dominated most, with Aguila taking advantage of mistakes to win. The fans didn’t get to it, because they already saw Mistico. The final of Los Cinco Mangificos is Sunday.

Lizmark got a foul on Dr. Wagner to win his match.

Villanos beat Atlantis’ crew in two falls, and then snatched their masks. Big push.

Segunda was said to be really good.

IWRG (THU) 05/31 Arena Naucalpan [El_mensajero @ El Martiente]
1) Dragon Yuki & Kagrra b Aguila Oriental & Samba
2) Trauma I & Trauma II b Ave Fenix & Halcon Salvaje
3) Kai, Sasaki, Yamato b Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro, Suicida
4) Astro Boy, Esfinge, Veneno b Black Terry, Fantasma de la Opera, Kraneo
5) Hijo de Cien Caras & Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. b Felino & Pantera [IWRG IC TAG]

Pantera randomly turned on Felino in the main event, fouling him and laying down to be pinned. Doesn’t sound like they’re drawing very much.

Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 06/05 Arena Coliseo
1) Super Camaleon & Super Tri vs Polvora & Zayco
2) India Sioux, Lady Apache, Princesa Blanca vs Hiroka, La Nazi, Mima Shimoda

4) Leono, Mictlan, Sombra vs Goto, Ohara, Okumura
5) Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr., Sagrado vs Atlantis, Olimpico, Tarzan Boy

Wow, a mini title defense. If this was a Sunday show, I’d say they were adding a match and that opener was going to get bumped to the dark match.

CMLL (FRI) 06/08 Arena Mexico
1) Fantasy & Tzuki vs Mini Violencia & Pierrothito
2) Felino, Mascara Purpura, Maximo vs Euforia, Misterioso II, Nosferatu
3) Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero vs Olimpico, Sangre Azteca, Tarzan Boy

5) Blue Panther, Dr. Wagner Jr., Shocker vs Damian 666, Halloween, Hijo de Lizmark

Atlantis is bringing in the big guns to take care of the Villanos. The Leyenda de Plata match may be determined
