DTU, Fiebre Amarilla vs Atlantida, Black Metal defeats caveman for title, Canek

1) Yuta b JhonkyKalibusJorge KebradaKiubyArtikusÁngel del MisterioOsirisAtomic StarMiedo Extremo
Jhonki, Atomic Star replaced Kalibus, Pequeno Cobra, Slayer Pack. Reports differ on if Kiuby or Arana de Plata was the third addition; best guess is Kiuby based on the pictures. Yuta beat Miedo Extremo for the win.
2) Kaleth & Niño Hamburguesa b Lucky Boy & Niño de Ébano and Crazy King & Principe Escorpion and Lanzeloth & Rocky Lobo and Araña de Plata & Pequeno Cobra
Locker/Rocker team scheduled for this match moved up one. Arana de Plata & Pequeno Cobra team seems to have replaced them, according to EdR.
3) Carta Brava Jr. I, La Magnifica, Locker b Comando Negro, Keira, Rocker
Match had been listed as three way tag with Arana/Perro Mocho (who seems to have missed all DTU shows), Carta Jr./Comando Negro vs Carta IWL/Cerebro Negro.
4) Epitafio, Judas el Traidor, Samael, Tormento NC Black Fire, Chica Ye-Ye, Demente Extreme, Peligro
Tormento replaced Leviatham, Peligro was the mystery man on the DTU side. Los Porros ran in to attack everyone, then got into an argument with Ciclope.
5) Steve Pain b Fenix (AAA)Príncipe HalcónJinzoOrionSádicoTomahawk T.T.HackerHormiga [#1 Contenders, DTU AI]
Fenix and Steve Pain replaced Septimo Dragon and Poison. Pain beat Fenix for the win, and wins a shot against Flamita at some point.
6) Drastik Boy & Flamita b Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards and Daga & Eterno
switched to the semi main (in before the ring was filled with leftovers from the hardcore match.) Upset win for Flamita & Drastik
7) Aero Boy & Violento Jack b Crazy Boy & Joe Lider and Cíclope & Paranoiko
switched to the main. Besides the usual violence, the LA Park Chair On Fire spot has made it’s way to DTU. Arana de Plata ran into help Ciclope, setting up lamps on the match, but Violento Jack put Ciclope thru them for the win.

It sounds like the fifth match was the best, but there’s not too many notes about the match quality. There’s really nothing said about the sixth match. I maybe have gotten the wrong Carta Brava.

CMLL (SUN) 07/07/2013 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Höruz & Robin b Akuma & Guerrero Negro Jr.
Tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Skándalo b Hombre Bala Jr., Pegasso, Soberano Jr.
Soberano replaced Starman. Rudos took 1/3.
3) Tritón b Raziel [lightning]
Triton won with a moonsault tornillo in a good match.
4) Bushiroad, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. b Boby Zavala, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
Tecnicos toko 2/3 in a good match. Delta & Maya challenged for a title shot next week, and Okumura & Namajague accepted.
5) Diamante Azul, Shocker, Thunder b Euforia, Mr. Niebla, Vangellys
Tecnicos took 1/3.
6) Ephesto, Mephisto, Volador Jr. b Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente
Rudos took 1/3 in a slightly disappointing match.

Main event seemed to start a Estetas del Aire vs Avernos/Volador feud, similar to Puebla. They’re probably a few weeks away from doing that match.

Next week’s show is in Arena Mexico, according to the announcers at the end of the show. This might have been made clear during the earlier microphone challenges, but the ring microphone wasn’t plugged into the Terra feed from the second match on. There was no sound entirely from midway in the second match until Triton’s post match promo.

CMLL (SUN) 07/07/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) Brillante & Capitan (Guadalajara) b Relampago Azul (Guadalajara) & Samael (Guadalajara)
Debut for Capitan. Tecnicos took 2/3.
2) Demonio Maya, El Yaki, Satara b Halcón de Plata, Idolo, Javier Cruz Jr.
Yaki back as a rudo, which makes since with that name. Rudos took 2/3.
3) Acertijo, Jocker, Sádico b El Hippie, Sky Kid, Tony Escobedo
Escobedo’s debut. Rudos took 1/3, Acertijo snuck in a foul on Hippie to set up the rudo win.
4) Black Metal b Bárbaro Cavernario [OCCIDENTE MIDDLE]
Metal took falls 1/3 to win the championship. Barbaro falls on fourth defense. Barbaro demanded a rematch in precisely two weeks.
5) La Máscara, Máximo, Rush b Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Bucanero
Tecnicos took 2/3.

The title change could be a setup to Barbaro coming to Mexico City. He was good in his three day stint last month. It’s not like Arena Coliseo Guadalajara to care that much about their championships; they didn’t take them off Palacio Negro or Metal Blanco when they knew they were leaving or even when they came back.

Canek was the unadvertised surprise luchador on AAA TV’s taping in Ecatepec. Unclear why they brought in Canek and didn’t advertise him. La Parka worked the AAA TV taping and not the WWL show, while Eita did the opposite. More details about the AAA TV taping, though there’s not that many details to go around.

AAA had a photoshoot with Angelico & Jack Evans and the Reinas del Ring, along with a promo for Sunday’s taping which helps you not at all now. Sorry! Jack Evans yelling “woo” holds up.

The next TxT show appears to be on 07/27. This poster doesn’t make any matches clear except that the usual woman will face each other, and I think you could’ve figured that. It’s a Mexico vs the World Theme, which is pretty much the same as most of the TxT shows this year. Hijo del Santo is on the poster even though he’s said he’s not wrestling on the show.

CMLL (MON) 10/29 Arena Puebla [Porra Fresa]
1) Ares & Centauro de Fuego b Dinámikoo & Tigre Rojo Jr.
Rudos took 2/3, early falls went very quick.
2) Höruz b Cholo [lightning]
Cholo dominated the match, but Horuz pulled it out with an armbar.
3) Asturiano, Metálico, Molotov vs Bobby Zavala, Disturbio, Espiritu Maligno
Tecnicos took 2/3. Molotov submitted Espiritu, Metalico pinned Disturbio.
4) Dalis la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Marcela b Amapola, Mima Shimoda, Tiffany
Tecnicas took 1/3.
5) Namajague, Shigeo Okumura, Tama Tonga b Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Hijo del Fantasma
Rudos took 2/3. Tonga beat Maya to win in his debut and the best match of the night Maya had to be strechered out. Delta tried to help with that, but Tonga attacked him too.
6) Atlantis, La Máscara, Mistico DQ Averno, Felino, Mephisto
Felino replaced Ephesto. Mascara pinned Averno in the first, then Mephisto pulled Mistico’s mask in the second in a disappointing match. Mistico challenged Mephisto a singles match.

Mr. Aguila/photo by CMLL

Was Ephesto hurt on Sunday and I’ve forgot about it?

CMLL (TUE) 10/30/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Metatrón b Exterminador
2) Pequeño Warrior b Shockercito and Aereo and Pequeño Halcón and Astral and Último Dragoncito and Fantasy and Demus 3:16 and Pierrothito and Mercurio and Pequeño Olímpico and Pequeño Violencia [Mini Reyes del Aire]
Pequeno Warrior won the match, which set up a cage match next week! Shockercito may have been hurt on a dive.
3) La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada b Kráneo, Olímpico, Psicosis
4) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush b Averno, Mephisto, Tama Tonga [CMLL TRIOS]
Tama Tonga replaced Ephesto. Love Buffet came in as champs, and took falls 2/3 to keep the titles. Last week’s match was Maximo vs Averno, and this week Maximo kissed and cradled Averno to keep the titles.

Results were from radio station Canal58, which appears to be doing live PBP of Tuesday and Sunday Guadalajara shows. Satanico joined the commentators a couple times.

CMLL (TUE) 10/30/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLL, CMLL Gaceta]
1) Akuma & Camorra DQ Freesbe & Oro Jr.
Camorra fouled Freesbe
2) Artillero, Hooligan, Súper Comando b Camaleón, Pegasso, Sensei
Camaleon replaced Angel Azteca Jr. Isis was with Hooligan. Rudos took 1/3. Sensei was strechered out with a knee injury and Pegasso was hurting (as usual.)
3) Fuego, Sagrado, Triton b Arkángel de la Muerte, Cancerbero, Raziel
Tecnicos won in straight falls when Arkangel and the Cancerberos turned on each other.
4) Rey Cometa b Sangre Azteca [lightning]
Cometa won with a 450 splash in 8:10.
5) Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero b Diamante Azul, Mistico, Stuka Jr.
Rudos took 2/3, Euforia & Niebla getting the pins while Mistico dove onto Mistico.
6) Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. b Black Warrior, Mr. Águila, Volador Jr. [MEX TRIOS]
Volador, Mr. Aguila, and Black Warrior came in as champs. Delta & Maya took 1, Volador took the second with a backcracker on Atlantis, and Atlantis won the match with an Atlantida on Volador (again!) Reyes del Atlantida are champions as a team for a third time, Atlantis has won the titles three times.

Shocker & Brazo de Plata beat Terrible & Dragon Rojo in Arena Queretaro. In the undercard, Amapola (replacing Tiffany) was beat by local luchador Reyna Azteca in a tag match. The Quereatro wrestler challenged for a title match.

The semi-official Noti AAA Facebook site confirmed Decnnis was leaving AAA, then took down that post, put up another post saying all the rumored people leaving AAA (Tiger, Wagner) were not true. That’s totally not confusing. In the comments of the last post, they say Wagner is joining going back to being an independent who works with AAA. (The difference there is if AAA controls his booking for non TV shows and what cut they need; someone the level of Wagner doesn’t need AAA for that.) As for Extreme Tiger, he’s scheduled to work tonight’s Halloween show in Arena Lopez Mateos, which would be an easy time for him to confirm or deny rumors.

Arena Neza’s Facebook writes Vampiro will miss this weekend’s AAA Fusion taping. Vampiro’s said the same, going on to say he’s busy with another show and AAA never told him he was on this show. Same thing happened last time Vampiro missed a taping. Mesias will take his place, which greatly improves the match. AAA hasn’t acknowledged the change yet.

Quien Pinta Por La Corona held a press conference in Guadalajara for the event there on 11/10 and 11/11. QPPLC also posted profiles of some of the finalists: Rey Maya (nephew of Canek!), Forajido (inspired by Cibernetico and Gronda), Full Back Jr. (snuck off to train with Canek), Demoledor (36 years old), and New Fire Jr.

Samuray del Sol was on Figure Four Daily yesterday (subscriber only) in a really good interview where he talked a lot about his career. His story about being in last year’s QPPLC contest was my favorite part. Samuray never actually signed up for the contest himself, Crazy Boy just invited him to come to Veracruz, then signed Samuray up without him knowing to get Samuray in front of AAA people. Samuray was under the impression the talent contest – at least by the final – was set up for Daga to win, saying AAA officials wanted him specifically to work with Daga since he could do the style Daga likes to do and Daga would look like a star.

Rob has highlights of 04/13/12 CMLL and has updated his MOTYC list.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Lucha Libre in Japan

Fabi Apache, Sexi Star, Lolita and Jennifer Blake are headed to WAVE for their AAA Reina de Reinas on 11/27. The Japanese promotion had previously announced the show, this is the first time the Mexican promotion has acknowledged it. The article is mostly talking about Fabi Apache’s training and previous time in Japan. WAVE also mentions Pimpinela and Fenix working on the show in a bonus match with CIMA, which hasn’t yet been announced by AAA.

Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 11/06/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Sky Kid & Virgo vs Èvola & Thunder Boy
2) Esfinge & Gallo vs Bárbaro Cavernario & Espectrum
3) La Máscara, La Sombra, Mistico vs Felino, Psicosis, Rey Escorpión
4) Shockercito vs Último Dragoncito, Pequeño Halcón, Aereo, Astral, Fantasy, Pierrothito, Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior, Pequeño Violencia [cage, hair, mask]

Cage match, just not at all the one I thought. Warrior winning the Reyes del Aire means he’s a favorite to lose here.

Mexico & GDL previews, new juniors headed into CMLL (are not that interesting),

ESTO has a preview of tonight’s Arena Mexico show. Neither Ephesto nor Rey Bucanero has to buy a ticket tonight, because they’re in the main event trios: Ephesto/Texano/Terrible vs Rey/Atlantis/UG. Ephesto’s already making mask vs hair challenges, though he’d be okay with a team vs team match.

You know, I’m seriously excited for this prospects of this match – they’re both good guys, and I’m not quite sure about the outcome – but I sure hope this isn’t their big main event against TripleMania.

Just as newsworthy show in Guadalajara. Less for the feud, more that they’re running at all:

CMLL (TUE) 05/19 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Thunder Boy vs Acertijo
2) Idolo vs Virgo
3) Nube Roja vs Exterminador
4) Casanova vs Rey Trueno
5) Gallo & Metal Blanco vs Mascara Magica & Satanico
6) Mascara Dorada & Sagrado vs Dragon Rojo Jr. & Sangre Azteca
7) Hector Garza, Mictlan, Shocker vs Averno, Dos Caras Jr., Mephisto

First show here since April 26th. A lay off of 23 days, or 7 canceled shows. Come to think of it, the Shocker/Dos feud is important if it leads into the anti-TripleMania show. Feels like we’re either getting a double main event or a lot of feuds shoved into a cage. (Shocker/Rey/UG/Atlantis vs Terrible/Texano/Epehsto/Dos? Shocker on the same side as the Guerreros?)

Might as well put Sunday’s lineup here too:

CMLL (SUN) 05/24 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Hierro & Skaxy vs Angel del Mal & Relampago Azul
2) Metatron & Palacio Negro vs Dragon & Rafaga
3) Leon Blanco & Magnum vs Asesino Negro & Infierno
4) Metro, Neutron, Stuka Jr. vs Mr. Trueno, Vangelis, Virus
5) Blue Panther, Mascara Dorada, Sagrado vs Black Warrior, Terrible, Texano Jr.
6) Hector Garza, Mistico, Shocker vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

A lot of extra local guys bundled onto this card to get them some work.

lovewarrior @ el Martinete has Luchas 2000 #470, which lists the three new juniors coming to CMLL
– Ultraman Jr.
– As Jr.
– Rene Guajarado Jr.

Ultraman Jr. has been around since 2003, and has worked stretched for IWRG and AAA without really catching on. He’s worked in CMLL arenas as part of Dragon shows in the past. This is actually the second Ultraman Jr.; the first is Starman, who was forced to change names to avoid a lawsuit from the original.

As (Ace) was a late 70s/80s wrestler, who never made it much big. At least under that name; his career arc indicates he either got hurt and had to retire, or he switched names. As Jr. has turned up in small shows around Mexico City the last couple years, including teaming with As against Signo and Signo Jr. last November.

“Rene Guajardo Jr.” is more accurately Rene Guajardo III, but that’s just not what they say it. His father was still working Monterrey as recent as two years ago, and this one has only worked one EAW show last March.

Reforma has an interview with a Hijo starting today, El Hijo del Sicodelico. He hopes to beat Ultimo Guerrero for the heavyweight title someday. It’s good to have dreams.

AAA has an article on Halcon 78 returning to the promotion on an Oaxaca spot show. “Halcon 78” is from the first year of AAA; he was regimmicked into El Mexicano and worked with AAA all the way thru 2000. As El Mexicano, his name has been popping up on spot show lineups the last year or so, but I’m not sure what led him to go back to his old gimmick.

Box Y Lucha #2922 has the Bizarros on the cover. There’s also a new edition of their TV show.

Mistico tells Box Y Lucha that he’s got ideas for a big fifth anniversary celebration. Also, Mima Shimoda talks about her upcoming pictorial in H Por Hombres.

WagnerMania has an interview with Super Porky.

LuchandoLibre has an interview with the EAW promoters.

LuchaWorld has Robert on Monterrey from 05/02/04 and 05/09/04, as well as KrisZ’s news update.

11/01: Mexico, NWA Mexico, Lineup

CMLL (FRI) 10/31 Arena Mexico [superluchas, ovaciones, ESTO]
1) Ángel Azteca Jr. & Metálico b Puma King & Tiger Kid
2) Mascarita Dorada, Nino de Acero, Tzuki b Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito
3) Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto b Dragon Rojo Jr., La Sombra, Misterioso II
4) Black Warrior, Blue Panther, Último Guerrero b Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V
5) Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Rey Bucanero DQ Dos Caras Jr., Héctor Garza, Marco Corelone

Los Perros del Mal are no more in CMLL. Damian 666 and Mr. Aguila are indeed gone, and were replaced by the Triad of Terror. Averno & Mephisto ripped off and ripped up their Perros del Mal gear. Texano’s status is unclear. All the coverage says Averno’s group was “Triad”, which would presumably mean it’s only 3 big, but CMLL.com teases more members to come. I think we’re supposed to forgot about the post-Perros faction announced just last week and be surprised if/when they join up again.

Niebla faked a foul from Corelone in the main event to draw the DQ.

Villanos lost in two falls yet again, getting DQed for excessive violence in the first, then V3 being armbared by Panther for the match. Panther/V3 and UG/V5 apuesta challenged were made by the Laguneros, but it doesn’t seem like we’re getting any closer.

Mistico appeared to let everyone know he’s back next week.

According to SuperLuchas, Daniel Aceves will be the announced as new president of NWA Mexico and tonight’s show. Aceves is a Mexican wrestling silver medalist in the Olympics (in 1984, the only medalist in wrestling in Mexican history). He’s also the son of Bobby Bonales, a 40-50s EMLL wrestler who happens to be a former NWA champion. He’s been in various sports administration jobs in his post-athletic career.

The Gladiatores has a video interview with Blue Demon after his title win.

Hijo del Santo is still telling people he doesn’t think Perro is any more independent than Wagner, but would like to have some matches with him if he could. Santo’s back in Europe at the end of this month and planning the next big show in Mexico on 02/25/09.

Arturo Rivera’s column mostly talks about recent AAA storylines (Cibernetico quitting, what group will Charly join?)

Black Shadow will be honored today in Leon.

ATTENTION CMLL & AAA: mask/gear makers Deportes Martinez report 50% of their sales are from outside the country via their website. How much money do the promotions leave on the table each and every day because they don’t have a good software to sell their merchandise or don’t have merchandise to sell at all

Luchaworld has KrisZ’s news update, CMLL TV on 09/01/06 and the first couple of FSE shows

Next Friday’s lineup

CMLL (FRI) 11/07 Arena Mexico
1) Ángel Azteca Jr. & Angel de Oro vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Marcela vs Amapola, Medussa, Princesa Sujei
3) Máximo, Mictlán, Valiente vs Dragon Rojo Jr., Felino, Misterioso II
4) La Máscara, La Sombra, Mascara Dorada vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
5) Héctor Garza, Marco Corelone, Místico vs Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero

I’m pretty sure they’re trying with this lineup. And we know who Mascara Dorada isn’t.

AAA announced their last taping of the year, the one that usually doesn’t air until 2009, will be on 12/19 in Chilpancingo, about when and where it usually is. That article makes it sound like Guerra de Titanes is the only yet to be announced taping, which means they’ll have two best of episodes to close out the year.

10/23: Perros, GDL, Charly Manson, ByL

Took a couple days, but there’s finally more about Perro Aguayo Jr. He spoke to both Reforma and SoloLuchas. Between both of the articles, it sounds like this is a full split to form a different organization, but Perro’s still on good terms with CMLL. (Perro says he owns the “Perros del Mal” name, which would certainly be indicative of this.) SoloLuchas says the PdM is right next to Arena Mexico and CMLL and PdM wrestlers could work against each other on shows (probably similar to how indy guys like Intocable and Demon are employed by local promoters who also bring in CMLL wrestlers.)

watch out for flying Sombras/CMLL
watch out for flying Sombras/CMLL

No one besides Perro is mentioned by name as going with his group. It’s only clear that it’s not expected to be the whole current group and will probably include those not in the group (Perro mentions bringing in tecnicos of good quality and recruiting worthwhile foreigners.) Only Perro says he won’t be working on CMLL shows anymore; it’s possible all the rest might still work CMLL TV and have the rest of the days booked out of their own office, as this idea was originally mentioned. We’re still grasping for details – no first show is mentioned, there’s obviously a press conference to officially announce this on the way but not sure when that is either.

CMLL (TUE) 10/21 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
6) Metalik & Rayman b Damián 666 & Mr. Águila
7) Héctor Garza & Marco Corelone DQ Terrible & Texano Jr.

Perros are still working their normal schedule. In the main event, Terrible faked a foul to get the win. Corelone was angry and kicked the ref after the match.

CMLL (TUE) 10/21 Arena Mexico
1) Angel de Oro & Trueno b Inquisidor & Pólvora – now it can told.

Box Y Lucha posted a lot of articles from it’s last issue
Charly Manson hopes to be back in the ring by December, but may not make the end of the season. Charly says here that he’s not planning on supporting either Cibernetico or Chessman, instead to go his own way and perhaps start his own faction.
Dorian Roldan says WWE will barely affect lucha libre, because it’s a different audience. Dorian also says the Abismo Negro gimmick was one of Antonio Pena’s creations, so it should be with someone who deserves it (Black Abyss.)
Amapola says she hurt her knee just the day before she lost her hair to Lady Apache. What tragic luck. Then she hurt her other knee compensating, which sounds about right. She wants some revenge on Lady Apache when she comes back.
Villano V says Ultimo Guerrero is a hypocrit, for feuding with Blue Panther and then suddenly deciding to defend him. Ultimo Guerrero says the Villanos just went too far.
– Talking with Rocky and X-Pac about Romero’s jump, the author asked about a rumor of Juventud Guerrera being another member; X-Pac: “Juvi stinks – if he comes back to AAA, he won’t be with us.”
La Parkita says the AAA one (him) is the only true one and the one who owns the gimmick. The other wrestler who worked as Parkita apparently claims he owns the gimmick, but this one says it’s untrue.

Villanos press tour continues in AAA, who they vow to beat any trio. They’re also as confused as to what side Atlantis is supposed to be on, since he’s from Guadalajara.

SoloLuchas has a interview with Ephesto, who recalls his Hombre sin Nombre days (“dos mesas”) as a lot shorter than I do. He’d like a main event singles match with a star so people would see him as a star. That sounds rational.

Super Fly wants to face Electroshock in a retirement match. That sounds irrational.

Fuerza Guerrera wants to face Hijo del Santo in a mask match. That sounds unlikely. Fuerza tries to make his case, though, saying no one can truly be invincible after Blue Panther lost so maybe he’d unmask Santo. If any has a shot, Fuerza says, it should be one of him, Negro Casas or Blue Panther, since they’ve been Santo’s best rivals. (I know who’s not going back to NWA Mexico!) Fuerza pictures this as the main event of another Todos x el Todos show (big stadium show = $$$, enough he might actually do it.)

SuperLuchas talks to the Siniestro on the NWA cards, who is apparently a new person under that name. He says he’s wrestled as Horus in AAA for 3 years, but I can’t find any record of that name; misspelling? He was out of the business, but they were looking for a muscular guy and he fit the bill. The character itself is based on a Mexican comic book character (and not the DC one.)

Ovaciones has an interview with Mujer Demente, who’s reached 16 years of wrestling.

Romero/Negro in NJPW: 10/22 LOSS to Togi Makabe and Toru Yano, Yano on Romero as part of the tag tournament. Will they win a torneo match?

LuchaWorld has Robert on 05/18/06 AAA and 06/10 CMLL as well as KrisZ’s news update.

05/26: Mexico results, lineups

Would you believe they finally totally turned Lizmark Jr. rudo? I guess it counts when he backstabs Mistico.

CMLL (FRI) 05/25 Arena Mexico [ovaciones, ESTO]
1) Brillante, Flash, Super Nova b Apocalipsis, Hooligan, Ramstein
2) Alex Koslov, Blue Panther, Negro Casas DQ Mephisto, Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
3) Sagrado b Averno, Ephesto, Virus, Texano Jr., Leono, Loco Max, Valiente, Heavy Metal, Black Warrior [ciber, LdP]
4) Dr. Wagner Jr., Lizmark Jr., Místico DQ Héctor Garza, Mr. Águila, Terrible

Rudos won the first fall of the main event, tecnicos took the second. Much like with Black Warrior, Mistico actually hit Lizmark in the third, and Lizmark Jr. soon turned on him. Perro Jr. made an appearance and beating up Mistico with a katana (a wood one, but still – ??) and ripping up his mask. Lizmark Jr. is now a member of Los Perros del Mal. (Perro and Aguila’s team from the circus stunt show was also at the show, but they did not actually join in the beatdown.)

The whole Lizmark Jr. rudo turn is so odd. They’d take a couple steps in that direction, they’d forget about it for seemingly months, and then they’d move towards it again. CMLL teased this particular feud in late April on the GdR shows, but did nothing with it till last night and I had given up on it.

This gives CMLL a nice alternate plan for the big Summer Mistico match, if Perro can’t or doesn’t want to do the hair match quite yet. There was talk Lizmark Jr. could’ve lost his mask last summer (in a tag match with his father against Averno & Mephisto), so it’s not a stretch to imagine him losing it to Mistico this year.

As expected, Sagrado wins this block of Leyenda de Plata, and earns the right to lose to set up a Mistico match next week. First four out were Leono, Loco Max, Texano Jr., Valiente. Ephesto and Averno were in together, and ended up battling to a double DQ with mask ripping and fouls – something’s up here, but it’s not exactly clear. Black Warrior was eliminated by Virus, and Sagrado beat both Virus and Metal for the win.

Sangre ripped off Blue Panther’s mask in the segunda.

CMLL (TUE) 05/29 Arena Coliseo
1) Mini Olimpico & Ultimo Dragoncito vs Mini Damian 666 & Mini Halloween
2) Sensei, Stuka Jr., Tony Rivera vs Caligula, Hooligan, Messala
3) Felino, Mascara Purpura, Mictlan vs Euforia, Loco Max, Nosferatu
4) Heavy Metal, Maximo, Rey Bucanero vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
5) Volador Jr. vs Ultimo Guerrero

I hope that main event eventually gets redone for TV.

CMLL (FRI) 06/01 Arena Mexico
1) Neutron, Stuka Jr., Super Nova vs Arkangel, Loco Max, Nitro
2) Leono, Mascara Purpura, Valiente vs Goto, Ohara, Okumura
3) Blue Panther, Lizmark Jr., Rey Bucanero vs Damian 666, Halloween, Terrible
4) Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V vs Atlantis, Olimpico, Sangre Azteca
5) Mr. Aguila vs Sagrado [LdP, sf]

If you didn’t yelp something negative when you saw the Villano names there, than you’re much better than I. Unless we’re going to find out this week that this is their last match as a unit ever, I’m not sure what they’re doing here.

Looks like the Metro stuff is done, at least with Neutron. Good that the pointless Lizmark turns again match is in the dead spot. In context, Mr. Aguila vs Sagrado main eventing Arena Mexico makes sense, but I don’t how they’re going to draw anyone to this show. Could’ve used a much stronger semimain, and I think the Villanos are close to being it.
