CMLL on CadenaTres: 2015-10-24

Recapped: 11/19/2015

What happened: Zeuxis defeated Princesa Sugehit to keep the national women’s championship. Okumura worked as a fill in tecnico without incident. Nothing else in the matches.

This is the final CMLL on CadenaTres broadcast. The station itself was shut down a couple days after this aired, in a bit of a surprise. There’s no farewell or hint this is the final show and it’s not clear if they knew it would be when the show was recorded. The parent company will be launching a replacement channel in quarter 1 of 2016, but it’s unknown if CMLL will be part of it. The Tuesday tapings have moved to Claro Sports (TV) and LATV and cut to one hour.

Also, in the past and future weirdly crossing paths, the unaired first match and the segunda (aired as the first match here) were broadcast by CMLL as a test for their iPPV capabilities. I completely forgot I recorded both of those until Soberano did the barricade splash. I may watch the opener next time if I go thru the lightning matches again.

What was good: I liked the women’s title match, though I don’t feel strongly about which category to place it in. The second match was good too, but this went out with a bunch of forgettable matches as usual.

Where can I watch it: It’s on my YouTube channel, and the Disturbio match is on Princesa Dorada’s channel like usual. Read More

javelin tope

Recapped: 11/10/2015

What happened: Mephisto beat Dragon Lee in the main event, but cheated to do it. Princesa Sugehit defeated Zeuxis in a trios match to set up a title match next week.

What was good:  The opener, the tercera and the main event were good, with Dragon Lee/Mephisto beating the best. However…

Where can I watch it: it’s on my YouTube channel, but the videos are awful. This was off the Ciudad Juarez feed, the first time I had used it in months, and the files are just horrible. I feel bad I couldn’t find a better way to grab these, but the audio is out of sync and the video goes in and out. (My best solution to watch it was in 2x fast forward, which smoothed out the video and eliminated the audio.) Dragon Lee put out his usual big performance, but you don’t want to deal with this video. one of those days

Recapped: 10/31/2015

What happened: Dragon Lee got the decision over Mephisto in the main event trios, setting up a title match next week. Roberto was wearing a Grupo Imagen (parent company of C3), which might have been foreshadowing and might have just been what was clean that day.

What was good: None of the matches, really.

Where can I watch it: It’s on my YouTube channel. Read More

teamwork!

Recapped: 10/29/2015

What happened: Mephisto fouled Maximo in the main event, but that wouldn’t go anywhere. Really, nothing important happened.

What was good: I liked the second and fourth trios matches the best. This was a more fun Tuesday show than normal because of a very enthusiastic crowd.

Where can I watch it: It’s on my channel, but the volume is very loud. Sorry. Read More

this show in a GIF

Recapped: 10/24/2015

What happened: Nothing!

What was good:  Leaving Mexico. I enjoyed hanging out with everyone, but now that I know that I would’ve seen this show live had I stayed one more day, I’m glad I left. The main event was fine.

Where can I watch it: It’s on my YouTube channel. Read More

Cavernario takes out the wrong guy!

Recapped: 10/14/2015

What happened: Cavernario kept the welterweight championship over Triton. Negro Casas fouled Mistico in the main event, which doesn’t seem to have gone anywhere.

What was good: The Triton/Cavernario match is either the best great match or the least excellent match of the year. The rest of the show was Tuesday filler.

Where can I watch it: It’s on TKD’s YouTube channel.
