Recapped: 11/19/2015
What happened: Zeuxis defeated Princesa Sugehit to keep the national women’s championship. Okumura worked as a fill in tecnico without incident. Nothing else in the matches.
This is the final CMLL on CadenaTres broadcast. The station itself was shut down a couple days after this aired, in a bit of a surprise. There’s no farewell or hint this is the final show and it’s not clear if they knew it would be when the show was recorded. The parent company will be launching a replacement channel in quarter 1 of 2016, but it’s unknown if CMLL will be part of it. The Tuesday tapings have moved to Claro Sports (TV) and LATV and cut to one hour.
Also, in the past and future weirdly crossing paths, the unaired first match and the segunda (aired as the first match here) were broadcast by CMLL as a test for their iPPV capabilities. I completely forgot I recorded both of those until Soberano did the barricade splash. I may watch the opener next time if I go thru the lightning matches again.
What was good: I liked the women’s title match, though I don’t feel strongly about which category to place it in. The second match was good too, but this went out with a bunch of forgettable matches as usual.
