6) Cibernetico b Muerte Cibernetica [coffin]

Notes

Main event was a coffin match, with Konnan as special ref. Everyone ran in and used weapons. Banderas was bleeding by the time he went into the coffin.

Head Hunter I, a large intimidating man, faked a foul to win the match for his team. YAY BOOKING.

The four way match used “last guy NOT to touch all six corners loses his hair.” Alan escaped first, then Intocable, and Scorpio low blowed Porky to stop him. Scorpio wins, and Porky has his son (Brazo de Plata Jr.) shave his head.

Muerte showed up to help the rest of the sect against the Mexican Powers. Crazy Boy took a barbed wire bump.

Abismo gave Laredo Kid a black hammer to win the segunda. Charly Manson officially left the Vipers for the Hell Brothers after the match.

Gran Apache offered to return his grandson Marvin to Fabi and Billy Boy if they won the match. He cheated and is still champion of Marvin.

Next taping is 12/15, and that’s the next post.

Tonight’s big shows

The big card tonight is in Ciudad Madero, as AAA wraps up it’s year with it’s Guerrera de Titanes show.

AAA TV (FRI) 12/08 Centro de Convenciones de Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas
1) Billy Boy, Fabi Apache, Mascarita Sagrada, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Gran Apache, Mini Abismo Negro, Polvo de Estrellas, Rossy Moreno
2) Alebrije, Angel, Elegido, Laredo Kid vs Abismo Negro, Antifaz, Charly Manson, Histeria
3) Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Psicosis II vs Cuervo, Ozz, Scoria
4) Brazo de Plata vs Intocable vs Alan Stone vs Scorpio Jr. [hair]
5) La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro vs ?, ??, ???
6) Cibernetico vs Muerte Cibernetica

Opener should be okay, and it’d be nice if they had a new twist to the story. Second doesn’t have much going on, but it should be Charly Manson’s farewell from the Vipers (unless they’re being brought into the new group.) Third match should set up another atomicos title match down the road, with Espiritu taking Chessman’s place. It’s probably Scorpio Jr. losing his hair, though it sure wouldn’t be a surprise to see Porky go bald again. No word on the mystery people, but logically they’ve got to be Konnan and/or TNA people. Homicide and Samoa Joe are both scheduled to be in Chicago Ridge tonight (so was I, but I think I’d end up sicker), so cross them off the list of possibilities.

I’d think Cibernetico would get the win to cement him as a big tecnico, but then what? Whatever the case, the whole locker room will interfere in the main event.

Arena Mexico’s show is a simple setup to next week’s hair match, and not really an effective one at that.

CMLL (FRI) 12/08 Arena Mexico
1) Danger & Valiente vs Artillero & Super Comando
2) Fabian el Gitano, Mascara Purpura, Metro II vs Arkangel, Loco Max, Nitro
3) Blue Panther, Sagrado, Volador Jr. vs Damian 666, Halloween, Mr. Aguila
4) Heavy Metal, Shocker, Universo 2000 vs Alex Koslov, Kenzo Suzuki, LA Park
5) Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero vs Atlantis, Tarzan Boy, Ultimo Guerrero

Ovaciones pushes the card as a continuation of the Atlantis/Wagner and Ultimo/Rey feuds. Too bad those aren’t the feuds they’re selling next week. Unless CMLL.com’s tease is meant to be taken seriously and they’d really turn the CMLL TRIOS match into a three way if the tecnicos won here, there’s no reason for them and the Perros not to be conflicting in some way. Even with Corelone not around, if the semi-main is supposed to be the ticket seller next week, why is it the semimain?

Koslov seems higher than usual, as if he’s taking Corelone’s spot. Probably just for the night.

AAA 11/18 Results

AAA TV (SAT) 11/18 Lienzo Charro, Cuernavaca, Morelos Results
1) Hombre Sin Miedo, Nemesis AAA, Pegasso b Angel Mortal, Policeman, Toxico
2) Rey Cometa, Super Fly b Alliens, Gran Apache [AAA TAG, 1st]
3) Alebrije, El Brazo b May Flowers, Pimpinela Escarlata [AAA TAG, 1st]
4) Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventued Guerrera, Psicosis II b Chessman, Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz [MEX ATOMICOS]
5) Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido b Brazo de Plata, Brazo de Plata Jr., Elegido, Intocable
6) Head Hunter I, Konnan, Muerte Cibernetica b La Parka Jr., Mascara Divina, Octagon

The big story from the show involved some who weren’t even wrestling – Cibernetico announced the formation of “Los Hellbrothers.” Chessman and Charly Manson, who originally said he was staying in the Vipers just until Cibernetico was back, are the other members of the group, and they’ll usurp the top tecnicos spots in the never ending AAA vs Foreign Enemy feud.

As noted earlier this week, the Mexican Atomicos titles changed hands. After all the title matches with Chessman and the Dark Family not getting along, Chessman finally got the bright idea to give up his share of the title (to be replaced by Escoria.) We’re told he changed his mind; Muerte Cibernetica pressured him, but because he’s getting a relative face here, it was Chessman’s “professionalism” which caused him to compete. And lose.

The main event had every run in, and Cibernetico’s group was formerly announced at the end.

AAA’s results mention a the Intocable/Alan Stone and Brazo de Plata/Scorpio Jr will be one four person match. Not clear if it’s a tag or a four way or if it’ll be one hair on the line or two. The best way for future success might be having everyone but the winner lose their hair – Scorpio and Alan Stone can screw Porky to be eliminated (he’s lost a ton of these anyway), and then Intocable can beat the odds by taking care of Alan and Scorpio by himself. Intocable is exactly the type of guy Konnan is not high on, so I wouldn’t expect that, but it’d be neat.

Oddly, AAA’s news section seems to contradict this, setting up a direct Porky/Scorpio match. Strange. Porky’s appearing for that to be a super libre match, since Scorpio cheats to win every time anyway.

After first being an 8 team tournament for AAA Middleweight Tag Team Titles, then being a 16 round robin tournament for AAA World Tag Team Titles (with no blocks declared), AAA is now listing their tag team tournament as a standard single elimination. That’s a lot less interesting, but much more possible for them to actually pull them out. As always, we’ll have no idea what the complete tournament picture looks like until all the matches have been announced, but I’ll try to put together tentative brackets after the next taping (11/30.)

11/19 news: AAA TV, CMLL PPV, Accion

AAA’s posted it’s next TV taping lineup (updated to include seconds)

AAA TV (FRI) 11/30 Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM Lineup
1) Mascarita Divina & Octagoncito vs Mini Charly Manson & Mini Chessman
2) Pirata Morgan & Charly Manson vs Crazy Boy & Joe Lider vs Cuervo & Ozz vs Mascara Divina & Oriental [AAA WORLD TAG]
3) Alan Stone (w/Chris Stone) vs Intocable (w/El Elegido)
4) La Parka Jr., Super Porky, Brazo de Plata Jr. vs Hator, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido
5) Muerte Cibernetica (w/the Black Family) vs Cibernetico (w/Chessman)

I can not believe they’re doing Cibernetico’s first match back on just another TV show.

Either it’s a remarkable coincidence that all of the teams who won their matches are having their group matches on the next taping, or it’s just a normal single elimination tournament and the points thing is amazingly wacky feint. I’m not sure which one it is! This is TRIPLE A!

Maybe results for last night’s taping will surface in a bit?

CMLL announced Universo 2000 & Shocker vs Kenzo Suzuki & Marco Corelone will main event at 12/01 major show in a hair match (haven’t made it clear if it’s a double hair match, but I guess that’s a safe assumption). Reports have it airing on Sky PPV, so I guess that’s the idea for all major shows – well, till this one bombs. They’re going to have to load up the semimain to make this work (Mistico vs Warrior surely), but this feud hasn’t exactly been lighting the world on fire.

Gotta figure there’s probably 2-3 weeks of Arena Mexico shows after the PPV – will they still run a big end of year show? Will that be on PPV? They could’ve used better spacing, but then then they’re only giving these things 14 day builds anwyay.

It’s interesting to note, with this week being the big set up for the hair match, the clip that was shown on Accion was of the main event tag title match. Thy highlight Mistico’s conrer plancha, and it’s pretty much all him in the clips.

AAA’s clips were of Porky, Intocable, and Parka vs Scorpio, Alan, and Zumbido – the 10/22 taping in Salamanca. It was a six man, but a lot more ran in, and then the finish was overturned by the heel ref for no reason made clear – it was an AAA main event.

Ovaciones had a largely unnoteworthy story about Monday’s CMLL vs Indy Revolution show. They did mention that, because all the matches on the show were just so gosh darn big, march order was randomly drawn. If the numbers came out of the hat the correct way, Loco Max and Hombre Sin Nombre could’ve been in the main event! (Of course, one could sarcastically point out that’d draw better than Shocker/Universo vs Kenzo/Corelone, but I would never think of such a thing.)

Super Muneco got stretchered out of his match at an indy show this week (with photos!), but he’s still listed on Ovaciones preview. CMLL.com still has him listed.

The opener still hasn’t been announced, but Robert’s prediction of minis is probably right, unless they can find indy women of note.

The 5a Estacion “Me Muero” video with Mistico is up on Univison’s site and other legal sites, but I can easier embed it via YouTube.

Which is better, the drumstick or the watermelon? I don’t know if the watermelon is pre split, but I’m convinced Heavy Metal wanted to try it without help a few times.

site note: Website’s back to normal, until I get all the links set up good on the new page. The individual pages will look odd til then, and I hope you can get by.
