11/10: Coliseo, Monterrey

Infernales/CMLL

CMLL (SUN) 11/09 Arena Coliseo
1) Romano & Sensei b Camorra & Inquisidor
2) Arkangel de la Muerte, Shigeo Okumura, Skandalo b Fabián el Gitano, Leono, Metálico
3) Euforia, Nosferatu, Virus b Flash, Máximo, Stuka Jr.
4) Terrible, Texano Jr., Villano V b Black Warrior, Heavy Metal, Olímpico
5) Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero b La Máscara, Marco Corelone, Sagrado

You’ll be shocked to find out Lizmark Jr. didn’t show this week either. Rudos won. Sagrado landed bad on his left shoulder late and had to be stretched out. It might have been dislocated.

Think quick: which of the matches would you rather make TV, the 2nd or the 4th?

Euforia & Nosferatu are now demanding a shot at the Arena Coliseo tag team titles.

Romano is now 2 and 0.

AAA (SUN) 11/09 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [RFC]
1) Rey Imagen b Invasor
2) Aguila Extrema, Baby fox, TDN b Ejecutor, Mr. Secuestro, Sicario
3) Ave Negra I & Ave Negra II b La Momia & Mascara Divina
4) Extreme Tiger & Gran Apache b Billy Boy & Joe Lider
5) Kenzo Suzuki & Zorro b Nicho el Millionario & Octagón

Everyone turned on Lider in the semimain, which begs the question – why didn’t they just team up Nicho and Lider and Billy and Octagon? (Neither Nicho nor Octagon wanted to be in the semimain?) Seeing Extreme Tiger’s name here reminds me he’s still here and he’s so screwed with Halloween gone.

In today’s
Ovaciones, they talk to indy wrestler Angel Star. He announces he’ll be switching his name to Mini Oro soon, having recieved permission from Plata. Angel Star/Mini Oro is 22, from DF, 3 years a wrestler, and trained by his father Rey Angel as well as Ringo Mendoza and Arturo Beristain.

There’s also a story about Sombra, Dragon Rojo and Faraon sponsoring a blanket drive for disadvantaged children.

Sunday, there’s articles on Okumura (injury return, nothing not previous said) and Ayako Hamada. Ayako says she’ll be in Mexico for the next two months, working for Martha’s group. I’d think that mean she’s out of AAA, but that’s not specifically mentioned. Sounds like Ayako will be training the Martha’s luchadoras while she’s here, and that may be the primary reasons he’s in. She’s back in Japan for Christmas.

El Siglo de Durango mentions the 11/17 AAA taping, talking about the Chessman/Cibernetico rivalary, but just giving a list of talent and no matches.

Pequeno Damian in Dradition: 11/09 LOST to El Blazer (via purolove.com) Dradtion’s website recap makes it sound like he impressed, both with his wrestling and his scary face paint.

indy (TUE) 11/11 Arena Aficion [El Sol de Hidalgo]
1) Super Brazo vs Cerebro Negro, Mimi Dark, Chico Che (DF), Chico Che (Pachuca), Aspid, Dr. Cerebro [hair]
2) Brazo de Oro Jr. vs El Exotico, Fantasma de la Ópera, El Maldito, Último Vampiro, Ninja de Fuego, Ira, Pandemonium, Medics I

There are TWO Chico Ches. Also, this must be a second Brazo de Oro Jr, which is scary on many levels. I believe a good 5% of comments are complaints about the first one.

CMLL (SUN) 11/16 Arena San Juan Pantitlan [SoloLuchas]
1) Pordiosero & Saturno vs Guerrero Mixtico I & Guerrero Mixtico II
2) Cosmico, Danger, Insecto vs Luis Cirio, Manny Cirio, Tony Cirio
3) Cicloncito Ramriez, La Parkita, Pierrothito vs Mini Head Hunter I, Mini Head Hunter II, Pequeño Violencia
4) Afrodita & Esther Moreno vs Flor Metalica & Rossy Moreno
5) Atlantis, Batman, Último Guerrero vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Gran Markus, Olímpico

What a team. If only Batman was one third of the trios champs instead of Negro Casas.

06/10 AAA TV Taping Results (Merida)

2) Laredo Kid & Sexy Star b Fabi Apache & Gran Apache
3) Cuervo, Escoria, Espíritu, Psicosis II b Crazy Boy, Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera
4) Alberije, Latin Lover, Oriental, Zorro b Alan Stone, Scorpio Jr., Super Calo, Zumbido
5) El Mesias, Kenzo Suzuki, Ozz b Chessman, Cibernetico, La Parka Jr.

Tecnico team up in the main event failed, but that was due to a lot of run-ins. After the match, Cibernetico challenged Mesias to a hair match at TripleMania. That card floating around has a six man tag with those two and hair on the line, so this fits that lineup but doesn’t confirm it.

Latin did win the seminfinal, small package on Scorpio, but was laid out by the Legion/Sect after the match. They also did a bit with the local promoter defending the honor of Merida to Konnan. Super Calo replaced Abismo Negro in the match. AAA’s been good about mentioning injuries of late, so I don’t think that’s the problem with Abismo. I think they’d also pull him from lineups if it was a suspension with a known end date, so that leaves – contract issue? He really should’ve been here to keep the feud with Latin going, and that he’s not means it’s serious.

Juvi was hurt going into the tercera and probably didn’t actively particpate. It turned into a hardcore match, and both Lider and Tiger ended being hurt during the course of the match.

Fabi Apache got the foreign women disqualified – I’m assuming that’s Tiana Ringer being given a Sarah Stock-like gimmick until told otherwise – for interference. So of course, Nemesis did not get the tecnicos DQed for doing the same thing a match later. Welcome to AAA.

06/12: Puebla, Hamadas, Lineups

CMLL (MON) 06/11 Arena Puebla [hugo999 @ box y lucha]
1) Forajido, Super Star, SWAT b Aguila Guerrera, Ares, Siki Ozama Jr.
2) Centella de Oro, Legionario, the Tiger CO Espiritu Malgino, Karissma, Toro Bill Jr.
3) La Sombra, Super Nova, Valiente b Dr. X, Negro Navarro, Nitro
4) Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero b Atlantis, Averno, Mephisto
5) Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. b Damián 666, Halloween, Mr. Águila

Tecnicos won the main event in straight falls and want a shot at the Mexican Trios titles. Espiritu Maligno was hurt on a dive by the Tiger, which ended the match. Tiger kept attacking him as he was being carted off, which restarted a brawl with the rudos.

Madrea @ El Martiente has pictures of the AAA Merida taping on Sunday, though they’re still not up yet and not as much on results. He notes the building was full, but a lot seemed to be there only for Latin Lover. (So, that’s 8 comments at least.) Juvi didn’t wrestle, due to some sort of arm injury and Cuije was using a walker – maybe these things will make sense after hearing about the previous taping.

La Presna talks about Ayako Hamada debuting in AAA over the weekend, as well as “Angela from TNA”. (???) Gran Hamada is also starting with the promotion, and the article teases a Mixed Title title challenge.

Some fans were critical of Los Cinco Magnificos because Perro’s opposition seemed more talented, but lost on votes. Perro Aguayo Jr. defended his win, saying his team was the best.

Box Y Lucha #2822 has Mistico winning the LdP. Nice action photo too.

El Halcon #92 is up, with interviews with Maximo, Lady Apache and Tzuki.

The San Diego county fair will have (unspecified) lucha libre on Saturday and Sunday. According to the website, there’s two shows on each day, free with admission to the fair.

This article about marketing towards Hispanics includes a photo of Blue Demon Jr. throwing out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. Weird. (thanks to mikeinformer.)

Selected lineups below. Figure out the latest random Japanese youngster who’s wrestling in IWRG.

Hey, Latin Lover. I’m so not interested in that debate.

Air Force vs Apache & Friends, check. Mexican Powers vs Sect/Psicosis, check. Super Astro being brought back to work all the way up in the semimain is interesting – he should be working across from Alan, so he stands a good chance here.

So I guess that confirms Ayako. She should’ve appeared about the same time this got posted on AAA’s site.
