Arena Mexico, 09/22/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:41
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

1: Pairs are Delta/Tiger, Maya/Vangellys, Fantasma/Virus, except Virus casually walks over and slaps Maya right off the apron before he starts with Fantasma. Virus doesn't even stop circling, and is confused as to why Maya has a problem with him. That was so great. Fantasma ends up staying in, gets in one headscissors, and Virus flips him with his kneeling backdrop to start the beatdown. Virus clothesline Maya, then rakes him in the eyes, and holds Maya's head for punches. Maya's mask comes off in the process, and everyone is confused. Pompin just kind of ignores it. Tiger superkicks Delta, Delta lays down to be pinned, tiger sits him back up for a casita. Virus beat up Maya outside.

2: Delta's hung upside down and kicked. Rudos stomp Maya. Virus chokes him. Virus traps Maya in the ropes for a superkick. Fantasma comes in and gets in a kick on Virus before the other help comes along. Rudos hold Fantasma in the corner for chops. Kick to the inside of the leg send Fantasma crawling for a tag. Delta dropkicked. Maya goes after Vangellys, but is caught and punched repeatedly by Virus. Virus gets a near fall on a crucifix, actually trying to win the fall in a beatdown. Double boot knocks Maya down but not out. Rudos clear the técnicos off the apron. Maya ducks a clothesline, Vangelis takes it, and Delta dropkicks other two. Fantasma out with a tope into Vangellys, delta submits Tiger, Maya springboard reverse tope on Virus.

3: Maya sends Virus into the post as the fall starts. Fantasma spears Vangellys, Vangellys spears him soon after. Fantasma recovers to enzigirui him out, and tease another tope. Virus runs from Maya. Delta pulls off a tricky headscissors on Tiger, then rolls backwards over the top rope to a headscissors on the floor on Tiger. Delta draws Virus in and tags in Maya. Virus is very unhappy. Virus knocks down Maya for a one count. Big slaps sends Maya into the corner, Virus charges Virus kicks Maya back, quick middle rope senton con giro misses, Virus inside cradle one two NO. Whip, reversed, Maya quebradoras Virus. Virus up and chopping, but Maya chopping back. Virus shoulders Maya and hits the ropes, but Maya dropkicks him out. Maya goes to run, but gets laid out by a well timed Tiger superkick. Fantasma in and taking off his shirt. Chop fight with Tiger. Fantasma off the ropes, handspring into a Tiger's backcracker one two three.

Guerrero Maya angrily complains about Virus not being a professional and demands a rematch and mask versus hair and a title match

Delta springboard clothesline on Tiger looks a little off. Vangellys misses his clothesline on Delta, Delta also ducks the wheel kick, but Vangellys pretty much lands on top of Delta. They go with it, Vangellys smacking Delta in to the corner but missing his corner charge and spearing the post. Delta runs up the adjacent corner and moonsaults out to take out the rudos. May in, Virus knocks him down again. Maya back with an armdrag, a dropkick, a dropkick again, and goes to lift Virus up for a Sacrificia Maya but Virus reaches behind his back and pulls of Maya's mask, then rolls him over for a cradle for three.

Magadan interviews the técnicos, which is mostly Máximo hitting on Magadan.

JCR interviews the rudos, who are less jovial.

Match 2: Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Máximo vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Ephesto, Mephisto
Arena Mexico, 09/22/2013

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos

  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:19
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Average first fall of opening sequences and everyone getting involved. Fall ends with Oro top rope moonsaulting Ephesto on the outside, Mascara casita on Ephesto an Dragon Rojo trying a huracanrana (???) only to be powerbombed by Máximo. Máximo looked strong holding Dragon Rojo up.

2: So many superkicks. Tecnicso dominate most of the fall, including doing the multiple splash spot to lead up to a Máximo top rope splash, but Máximo is not Porky and everyone moves. Máximo and Mascara are instantly pinned while Dragon Rojo puts Oro in a hold.

3: Rudos stay in control and mess with La Mascara's mask. Máximo does the run into his butt spot to start the comeback at about 3:30. More superkicks! Mascara topes Dragon Rojo, but the other rudos instantly beat the other técnicos.

Mephisto yells about La Mascara

Guerreros talk about the main event. Tecnicos also talk about the main event. This isn't going to be much of one with all this talking. Thunder thinks Thunder's promos are getting old – or being in random trios matches every week is getting old, I'm not sure.

Match 3: Marco Corleone, Shocker, Thunder vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
Arena Mexico, 09/22/2013

  1. Guerreros

  2. técnicos

  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:36
Rating: eh/okay
Notes: Referee is Tigre Hispano.

1: Normal relays until the rudos just decided to all attack Marco and take over the match. Shockers takes the senton de la muerte. Three on two suplex on the giants, and that's enough for the pin.

2: Rudos stay in control for 90 seconds until Marco makes the leaping comeback. Marco getting the pin on the springboard planchas on all three rudos seems to catch everyone by surprise. Shocker dives in to help cover at the last second for mysterious reasons, then stomps UG after the fact.

3: Very obviously joined in progress. Shocker knocks around Gran Guerrero. Euforia is much less successful against Thunder this week. Rudos shoulderblock Marco to the apron, take Thunder' double armdrag, and Shocker gets in his stunner spot too. Thunder stands around blankly for a while, then Shocker lands his pescado and Thunder adds his tope con giro. Aero Italia on UG for the win.

Match was way hurried, but they still have time for the announcers to wrap it up.
