AAA on UTDN #96 (09/12/2013)
Recapped: 09/28/2013

Previously: La Secta did the big turn, including Cuervo and Faby no longer being friends.

Announcers hype the show.

Noti AAA:

Lucky Boy & Niño de Ebano have been very exciting in opening matches. Backstage, Aerostar tells La Parka he's got plans for a new project. Parka suggests he bring in Lucky & Niño, but with new-ish Antonio Pena names. Luckily, they just happen to be standing there! That's why they call him Lucky Boy. They seem to like the idea. I hope Aerostar turns them into Pegasso and Rey Cometa. Or maybe Laredo Kid and Nemesis.

Konnan and Los Perros del Mal are in the ring to yell at the people and talk about how great they are. Konnan is in Perros del Mal now, after pretty much being in the group like three times over. At least it's official and explained now. People Perro does not like are La Secta, for trying to out Perro the Perros. He makes the rules. Konnan says a lot of people are asking about Dorian (???), but he's busy traveling the world making deals. Meanwhile, Konnan notes Marisela is making bad deals with the likes of Vampiro and LA Park so we should know who should in charge. (That works better as insult if you know how annoying those people are, but I'm not sure people do.) And that's that.

Match 1: Flamita, Lucky Boy, Niño de Ébano vs Eterno, Steve Pain, Último Gladiador
Auditorio General José María Arteaga, Querétaro, Querétaro, 08/16/2013

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 13:54
Rating: ok/good
Notes: Steve Pain has found an American flag and shows it off proudly to the crowd. They don't share his enthusiasm. Tecnicos come out as a trio. Referee is Copetes.

Pairs are Lucky Boy/Eterno, Niño de Ebano/Steve Pain and Flamita/Ultimo Gladiador. Gladiador starts of with a good front cracker, but loses his way on a run up the ropes spot and is lost until Flamita dropkicks him out merciful. Flamita immediately pulls of a neat headscissors on Eterno, and ends up double springboarding into a plancha to the floor on Gladiador. Crowd is loud or turned up way loud, probably the latter based on how little we can see them react. Lucky Boy armdrags Pain to the ropes, then triple headscisssors him out the other way. Lucky follows with a big Brillo Dorada. Eterno runs over Niño with a shoulderblock, Niño leaps back up, evades and tries to bodyscissors Eterno, but it's not really close. Helicopter headscissors sends Eterno out thru the ropes, but Gladiador cuts off Niño with an epic front cracker. Rudos go wild stomping Niño and attacking the other técnicos as they try to help. Lucky gets sent from corner to corner via monkey flip, then dropped hard with a side backbreaker. Rudos chop Niño very hard. Flapjack/faceslam spot doesn't quite come off. Eterno adds a low blow missile dropkick to send Niño out. Stomps. Eterno flapjacks Flamita onto the rudos knees. Rudos all stop to celebrate, then turn around to cut off Maxima Voelcnida with dropkicks. Gladiador and Eterno do corner topes, which leaves Flamita alone with Steve Pain, but Pain evades and superkicks. Slam, and Pain goes up. Pain stops to look at the crowd, which gives Flamita enough time to move out of the way of his moonsault. Flamita handspring into a spinning DDT, standing shooting star press, but Eterno stops the count and dropkicks Flamita in the backside. Eterno flips Flamita to the apron, Flamita comes back in for a headscissors, and Eterno squashes him with a Styles Clash. Lucky breaks up the pin, and whatever spot he and Eterno try needs to try next needs a second try. Oh, it's a Code Red, UG breaks up the pin. UG gives Lucky a big powerbomb, Niño keeps UG moving and connects on an iffy missile dropkick. Asai tornillo takes out Gladiador, Eterno and Lucky in, Lucky headscissors Eterno out, and follows with his own twisting Asai moonsault. Flamita and Pain back in, Pain showing off his USA flag one more time before dropping it to the floor. Chop fight. Pain win with forearms and uses a double pumphandle powerbomb, but only for two. Pain forearms Flamita, but runs into a standing Spanish Fly. Flamita gives up the pin to cut off Gladiador with a kick, then Pain boots Flamita into a huracanrana on UG. Spot doesn't come off great, but that's the finish.

Lots of replays, though not of the finish.

Texano versus Psycho Clown feud recap. If only Texano had left Niño de Ebano and Lucky Boy alone, we wouldn't have had to deal with any of this. (Or Psycho Clown would've just shown up earlier.) Psycho Clown's prolonged inability to pin the right guy is shown in extensive clips form previous matches.

Mesías talks about Copa Pena

Recap: Mexican Powers won the tag team titles, could not stop facing Los Perros del Mal. Staples and falling from high places were involved.

Match 2: Crazy Boy & Joe Lider vs Daga & Psicosis
Auditorio General José María Arteaga, Querétaro, Querétaro, 08/16/2013

Winner: Perros del Mal
Match Time: 11:46
Rating: eh
Notes: Psicosis is going to take a wood panel to ringside, but Daga does it for him. He's a good kid! Daga also has some belt, I don't know what it's for. Most times wearing yellow gear on TV? Lider has his four belts, killing the idea of title belts. No belt means less then the Perros del Mal Extremo belt, a belt for a promotion which doesn't appear to exist and is the cheapest looking piece of tin ever. Niño Hamburguesa is not present. Perros del Mal allow the Mexican Powers and women to dance in the ring without attacking them, but then charge them after everyone leaves. Copetes is referee.

Highlight of the match is Joe Lider, seated on the top rope after being hit by a chair, taking off his own his own chair because he know she's about to take a bump into thumb tacks and it makes all the sense in the world. Crazy takes his shirt off too. Daga and Psicosis do not. Usual extreme match of big deadly spots and then they get back up and do other stuff. Lider is stopped from using the can of fire, but Psicosis uses it on him. Lider unmasks Psicosis so he can use the fire in his face, but Psicosis just goes outside and finds another mask. Lider sprays him with the fire anyway. None of it matters. Lider and Nicho do a superbomb (or maybe a Canadian Destroyer) from the top rope thru a table on the outside. Crazy Boy sets a chair on fire but daga take it and this him, then does a Arabian press with the chair. The chair stays light, so Crazy Boy make sure he's not on fire, then pushes the table over to make sure chair doesn't get on fire, then goes back to selling. That was absurd. And it's the finish.

Match 3: Cibernético, El Mesías, La Parka vs Chessman, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Parka Negra
Auditorio General José María Arteaga, Querétaro, Querétaro, 08/16/2013

Winner: rudos
Match Time: 17:45 (4:57+12:48)
Rating: ok
Notes: Mesías has his sword. Rudos jump the técnicos (after seven minutes) for the brawl. Referee is Copetes.

Beatdown is a usual beatdown. Crowd chants for Cibernético some. They go to break right before the comeback.

Upcoming events.

Texano talks about Antonio Pena.

Mesías, in fact, makes the comeback 30 seconds after they comeback, and about 5:30 into this match. Mesías runs thru everyone but no one is around to help and the técnicos catch back up to him. Beatdown resumes just long enough for everyone to work together on a comeback. Mesías and Parka do a wacky handshake, which Mesías stops doing long enough to tope Parka Negra. Parka does the same to Chessman, who throws himself into the crowd. Cibernético and Perro have the big face off, with Cibernético getting the better of that. Tecnicos have their usual showcases, with Perro ducking out, then fighting Cibernético. Perro is throttled and no match, but then none of the rudos are much of a match. Mesías gives Chessman a backcracker and goes for his top rope splash, but Chessman actually gets his knees up, then follows Mesías out with a pescado. Cibernético takes out Perro, flying clotheslines Chessman on the outside, and the rudo get the advantage long enough for Mesías to up top for his plancha. Parka and Parka Negra in to finish. Negra gets sent into the referee, Parka still beats him up pretty handily, Negra finally gets in his low blow just as Copetes is getting up, Copetes counts three anyway.

Antonio Pena video. They got some new footage this year!
