Miguel talks to Fuego. The fringe is great, but the cowboy hat that has the top of his mask on top is probably my favorite part of his outfit.

Match 1: Fuego vs Shigeo Okumura in a lightning match
Arena Coliseo, 08/25/2013

Winner: Okumura
Match Time: 5:37
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Edgar.

Fuego armdrags Okumura around, Okumura back elbows him and taunts. Fuego blocks an Okumura armdrag, then does a cartwheel out of the armdrag he already blocked. Whatever. Springboard reverse plancha, dropkick sends Okumura out, and Fuego crashes into him on a tope. Clip to both back in, and Okumura landing a missile dropkick for a near fall. Chop fight, Okumura sends Fuego into the ropes and quebradoras him twice after he rebounds. Okumura flips Fuego to the apron, Fuego comes back in with his own missile dropkick. Okumura out, Fuego Asai moonsault. Replay. Okumura makes in first, Fuego inside cradles him for a two count. Fuego back bend under a clothesline, Okumura tries again, Fuego back bends again. Announcers say Atlantis has been in the most anniversary shows, which suggests they have a full list of every match at every Anniversary show; I have a harder time believing that than Fuego's repeated back bends. Okumura retreats to the corner, flips Fuego to the apron and helpfully stands there as Fuego plancahs. Okumura does rolls thru for his own two count. Fuego huracanrana one two NO. Cradles, all two counts, back and forth as the announcer makes the five minute call (about 20 seconds before we've seen.) Edgar nearly gets kicked in the eye on a Fuego kickout. Fuego trip, side cradle, but Okumura has his foot on the ropes. Fuego complain about the speed of the count, but the foot was on the rope, not going to help you much. Okumura clotheslines Fuego, can not get the win with a clothesline. Brainbuster, one two three. Match ended when the match ended.

Okumura and JCR discuss Okumura being on the Anniversary show.

Match 2: Blue Panther, Diamante Azul, Super Porky vs Euforia, Felino, Taichi
Arena Coliseo, 08/25/2013

  1. técnicos
  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:15
Rating: below average/ok
Notes: Referee is Terror Chino.

1: Felino and Azul start. Taichi gets absolutely stuck in a hold by Blue Panther (maybe not as much trapped as not knowing what he's supposed to be doing) and Euforia has to break it so the match can continue. Porky goes over to argue with Euforia and Felino about it and the match comes to a grinding halt as he and the rudos bicker back and forth. Porky takes over, backdrops and belly bumps Euforia out, and Azul goes to the top rope for a plancha on them. Felino tries to bodyslam, fails, and gets pinned in the process. Panther easily takes care of Taichi.

CMLL 80th Anniversary: El Consgrado – Ultimo Guerrero beats Villano V

2: Panther didn't get much time in the first fall, gets in long enough to survive Euforia's chops and headscissors him out. Taichi doesn't want to face Azul, Felino tries instead, and Azul eventually quebradoras them both. Euforia takes the monkey flips. Felino's attempt at a rolling reverse cradle on Porky proves a bad idea, but somehow starts the rudo beatdown. Euforia spinebusters and sentons Panther to take the fall.

CMLL 80th Anniversary: El Idolo – Volador super high ramp dive on La Sombra.

3: Taichi steals the Rush fake corner charge slap spot. Corner charges on Panther. Porky is too fast, and moves out of the way of the charge to start the comeback. Rudos line themselves up, with an epic missed Felino elbow drop. Tecnicos top, then Porky splashes, then everyone helps Porky cover. Terror Chino lets it go down this time.

Porky thanks everyone after the match.

Match 3: Atlantis, La Máscara, Máximo vs Hiroshi Tanahashi, Pierroth, Terrible
Arena Coliseo, 08/25/2013

  1. rudos
  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 17:58
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Tigre Hispano

1: Tanahashi cheapshots Atlantis to start the match, Atlantis demands face him, Tanahashi kicks him around, then drops him with the Sling Blade on a reversed whip. That's it. Fine work, Mexico!

2: Rudos brawl with técnicos, including Tanahashi throwing Atlantis into the entrance set and playing air guitar. Rudos helpfully hold Atlantis for Tanahashi to slap and kick. Tanahashi wildly misses a corner charge on Atlantis, and Atlantis dropkick the other rudos. Mascara and Máximo go after them, while Atlantis quebradoras Tanahashi. They go outside, and Tanahashi goes into the post. Máscara brings Terrible back in and submits him, and Máximo beats Pierroth with a kiss.

3: Pierroth powerslams Máscara, but misses a senton. Mascara fights him with kicks and superkicks him out. Comandante – who ti turns out is here! - gets slapped trying to help. Comandante is wearing a Terrible t-shirt but a Puerto Rico flag bandanna on her head, so she's not picking a side. She does take off the bandanna after she's been hit in anger, but does put it back on. Terrible and Máximo have their usual encounter. Tanahashi stomps all over Atlantis, but Atlantis fights back with a running tope and quebradoras. Tanahashi runs and crawls away on the floor. Máximo dropkicks Pierroth out and planchas him off the apron. Mascara miss on the rolling dropkick and Terrible punches him good, but, Mascara ducks the next shot and headscissors Terrible out. Máscara follows with a tope. Atlantis and Tanahashi back in, and Tanahashi slips in a foul kick as Tigre Hispano talking to Máximo. Tigre turns around to count the pin.

Tanahashi celebrates with air guitar. Atlantis recovers enough to challenge Tanahashi to a super libre match right here in Arena Coliseo. Atlantis repeats his challenge while crawling closer to Tanahashi, and Tanahashi kicks him when he gets close enough. Tanahashi gets the microphone and says hello to everyone. “Mano y mano? No problema!” So it's on. (Until it gets canceled.)

Miguel tries to interview Tanahashi about the foul, but Tanahashi says he didn't lose. Terrible builds up the match. Atlantis has to be held back from attacking.
