Match 1: Ángel de Oro vs Puma in a lightning match
Arena Coliseo, 07/28/2013

Winner: ten minute draw
Match Time: 9:14 shown
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Edgar

It takes no time for Puma to get armdragged out, and Oro follows with a tope right away. Back in, after a replay, and Oro nearly gets the win with a huracanrana. Corner whip, reversed, Puma clotheslines Oro form corner to corner and dropkicks him after. Puma stops to cup his ears for boos. (The fake ears on his mask.) Flapjack, dropkick, Oro dramatically falling over. Dropkick to the backside. Puma proud of himself, annoyed with the crowd. Leisurely pin for two. Crowd now chanting for Puma. Puma backdrop, mask rip. Puma slaps Oro hard into the corner. Corner whip, Oro flips to the apron, springboards back in as Puma goes out, Puma tries for the springboard frontcracker but Oro moves. Oro rolls flips back to the apron on charge, but Puma knocks him off and follows with his own tope con giro. Replays. Back in, Puma scoops and slams Oro. Puma takes his time going up, and Angel de Oro slaps him before he gets to far. Chop fight on the ropes., and Oro wins with a super armdrag. One two NO. Puma crucifix cradle for two. Loud Puma chant, and anti-chant following. Oro flipping urn, Puma miss a clothesline, Oro armdrags him away. Oro rope bounce into a headscissors, and out goes Puma. Oro slings himself to the apron, and follows with a moonsault to the floor. Back in, Puma misses a dropkick, hangs himself into the ropes, Oro superkicks him free and follows with his outside in springboard moonsault. Edgar won't count the pin, because Puma's too near the ropes, but he's not actually on the ropes. Oro argues, Puma inside cradle his, then switches to a casita, one two NO. They're not doing time calls this match – JCR says it's been 8 minutes, but it's 7 on our clock. Evasion, Puma up kick, superkick. Puma in no hurry, and easily puts on the reverse figure four. Oro in pain, not moving, moving, but a ways to go. Oro hangs in the hold for a few more moment before getting to the ropes. Eight minutes, as the ringside announcer makes his first time call. Oro tries a super huracanrana, Puma blocks it to a superbomb, Oro reverse it back to a huracanrana – but only two. Oro can't believe it, and covers gain, but still two. Crowd back and forth on Puma. Oro torito, puma rolls thru, hurks up Angel de Oro, and drops him with a sit down powerbomb one two NO. Nine minutes on my clock. Oro starts to put on the mecedora, and the announce says that's time. Not suer if they cut out some rest periods or if it was just going to be a draw as soon as Oro got the hold on.

Neither man is happy with the result. Crowd chants for Puma as Oro challenges for a rematch next week. Puma reminds us he's the King of CMLL, and does accept the match. Replays.

Miguel interviews Puma, who says 10 minutes more is enough to prove he's better than Angel de Oro to all the ugly fans.

80th Anniversary

Shocker is too busy making time with the edecanes to do the pre-match promo, but he pulls it together. He does seem to forget Titan's name – which is extra funny, since he gave Titan his name.

Match 2: La Sombra, Shocker, Titán vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Taichi
Arena Coliseo, 07/28/2013

  1. rudos

  2. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-0)
Match Time: 8:55
Rating: below average (but fine given situation)
Notes: THIS match. Referee is Maya.

1: Titan & Euforia start off. Taichi and Sombra are meant to be next, but Taichi bails. Niebla Roja and Sombra screw up a leapfrog spot – Niebla Roja doesn't duck, just sort of stops, and Sombra kicks him a lot after he lands. Dropkick, and pose, which allows Taichi to come in and attack from behind. Rudos whip Sombra into the técnico corner, he escapes their charges and tricks Roja into kicking Taichi in the face. Niebla Roja is mortified about this and stall until Sombra chops him. Roja is put in the corner, so he takes a swing on Shocker. Sombra chops him, then sunset flip reversal lead to a Shocker clothesline. Shocker loads up another clothesline, but Roja ducks that one and punches him in the midsection. Shocker fights back and hiptosses Niebla Roja. Big boot. Shocker waits for Roja to get up, but Euforia clotheslines Shocker before he can do any more. Roja leaves, and Shocker rallies back to loosely headscissors Euforia out. Stunner on Taichi, then blocks and a double chop. Rudos all grab Shocker, but he makes a comeback and fights off the Guerreros while Sombra pulls out Taichi. Titan in to help, rudos are whipped into each other and boost dropkicked out. Titan and Shocker dive, Titan a bit more acrobatic than Shocker. Taichi and Sombra back in for a chop versus kick battle. Taichi gets in a heel kick, off the ropes, Sombra leapfrogs him, Taichi clips Sombra as he ducks under and Sombra lands badly. Sombra is hurt right away and can't get up, even as Taichi tries to pull him up. Taichi stalls while Sombra gets out to and limps on the floor. The doctor checks on him while Shocker and Euforia come in to try and figure this out. Euforia is calling out Niebla Roja for spots while he's spinebuster Shocker. Springboard splash finishes him. Euforia grabs Titan and powerbombs him himself for the other pin.

Niebla Roja goes after Sombra as he gets put on the stretcher, which is standard procedure here, but Shocker fights him off. Roja still gets the better of him. Replays, including a zoom in on Sombra's ankle as it turns it. It's not pretty.

2: Jumping ahead, apparently, to Shocker avoiding a corner clothesline and kicking people. Shocker is communicating plans with Titan even as they're beating up Taichi. Kicks and dropkicks. Roja trips Shocker and pulls him out for a brawl there, while Euforia beats on Titan. Roja chokes out Shocker on the outside, though Maya tells him to come back in. I think he found out they can finish this. Euforia corner clotheslines Titan, then directs Taichi to add a kick. Euforia tells Taichi to do something, and Niebla Roja asks about something (the Guerrero Sit spot, by his gesture?) Euforia doesn't seem interested in. Taichi gives Titan a knee and does his pants removal spot. Knee to the head, one two kickout. Roja in, corner charge blocked. Roja put on the top, Titan kicks him there, runs the other way, gets whiled back y Euforia, and gets put in the full nelson super faceslam. Euforia finishes Shocker immediately and they're done.

Footage of Sombra on a stretcher, about to be put in an ambulance, and playing with his phone.

Lots of replays, and the rudos rant for a while to fill some of the time from the match. Niebla Roja gets booed by the crowd and completely loses his train of thought, in Pierroth like function.

Match 3: Máscara Dorada, Místico ©, Valiente vs Averno ©, Ephesto, Mephisto
Arena Coliseo, 07/28/2013

  1. Hijos del Averno

  2. Estetas del Aire
  3. Hijos del Averno

Winner: Hijos del Averno (2-1)
Match Time: 10:12
Rating: ok/good
Notes: Entrances are shown, which probably is also to fit with last match being short. These aren't long ones, since the teams come out together – the Estetas are a lot faster than slow moving Averno, but it's not far to walk. Referee is Tigre Hispano

1: Rudos play as if they're going to do a normal open, and then just beat up the técnicos after a minute. Tecnicos are thrown around, and thrown onto with Ephesto usual splash.

2: Avernos decide to do the turn taking unmasking bit on Místico, but Tigre Hispano isn't paying enough attention to shoe them out. Místico's kicked around and out. Rudos give Valiente the triple boot. Crowd chants for and against Místico, and Místico sneaks in a headscissors on Averno with no real turnaround. Tope con giro out, then his partners finish up in the win.

3: Tecnico showcase. Averno takes Valiente's monkey flip and double springboard headscissors. Dorada shows off headscissors on Ephesto. Místico pulls off his middle rope diving headscissors, then comes back inf or not so great boost dropkick to set up the triple dive. Dorada brings in Ephesto and springboard splashes him, but Averno breaks it up. Dorada tries a springboard huracanrana on Averno, but gets blocked, powerbombed, and powerbombed again into the corner. Místico breaks that pin up with a springboard legdrop. Místico plucks Averno off the middle rope with a headscissors for his near fall. Mephisto tease the Devil's Wings on Místico for a while before actually dropping him with. Valiente breaks the pin with a slap and gets in his finish. Ephesto kicks Valiente to break it up, slipping in the process. Mephisto tries to help, chops Ephesto by mistake, and Valiente headscissors him out. Ephesto wipes out Valiente with a big clothesline, but whips him into a Valiente Special on the outside. Ephesto follows with his tope. Dorada waits for Ephesto to get up and skies on a Brillo Dorada – but only gets Valiente. Místico and Averno back in, Místico torito is broken by the other rudos. Rudos whip Místico around and drop him with a three man powerbomb for the win.

Rudos threaten the técnicos.
