Match 1: Pequeño Halcón, Shockercito, Último Dragoncito © vs Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:13
Rating: below average/okay
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Olímpico and Halcón seem slower than usual on mat wrestling. Halcón is wrestling in a Spider-Man shirt for no apparent reason. Shockercito sends Nitro out with a big helicopter headscissors. Pequeño Warrior never lands the backflip out of the corner, still does it every match. Spinning armdrag for him, submission on Nitro. Shockercito fights 1 on 2 on the other, gets sent out, and very hesitant Halcón comes in to get in a rolling tapatía. Fastest tapatía ever, in that Halcón barely gets Olímpico up before he's rolling over again.

2: Warrior refuses to face Halcón, so they restart with Shockercito and Olímpico. Shockercito looks good, sending Olímpico out with a spinning armdrag into a headscissors. Nitro and Dragoncito are briefly in and out. Halcón looks as iffy with Warrior, very nervous. A very forced spot where Halcón bends Warrior over just to backflip off his back end with a bad backflip and Warrior mocking Halcón a bit. Halcón immediately blows a headscissors. Warrior punches him in the face a couple times, then brings him over to the rudo to get in shots. Warrior kicks Halcón out and starts the beatdown. Shockercito is treated roughly. Dragoncito takes Nitro's finish.

3: Dragoncito is dropped on on his face and dropkicked out. Nitro struggles climb the middle rope for a middle rope splash, and ignores it. Halcón sort of breaks the pin (sort of late) and it's time for everyone to break up a hold and put it on another. It's supposed to be dramatic, but it's missing the part where people care. Halcón takes longer to put on the tapatía now, but still isn't holding guys up too long. Warrior crawls in to cover him, though Halcón kind of fouls it up by letting for of Nitro way too soon. Halcón evading double team spots are not great. Nitro finally puts Halcón out of his misery with a hanging on the ropes backcracker, then has something to say to him after the pin.

Olímpico brings Shockercito out for Warrior's guillotine legdrop. He tries to do it as safely as possible, but it looks bad. Dragoncito waits until they return to run into Olímpico and take a half crab.

Match 2: Dalis la Caribeña, Dark Angel, Goya Kong vs La Seductora, Princesa Blanca, Tiffany
Arena Mexico, 07/23/2013

Winner: técnicas (2-1)
Match Time: 19:28
Rating: below average/okay
Notes: This file is listed as 27 minutes, which only makes sense if they took a 10 minute tea break in the middle. Referee is Pompin.

1: Dalys has decided to do more cartwheels. Dalys is either very tan, or Seductora is very pale. Maybe both. They try complicated spots which probably looked smoother in training. Goya and Blanca is a lot of comedy. A lot to stretch this out. Crowd likes Goya, even though Goya has problems rolling. Tiffany can't keep up with Dark Angel and screws up the timing on her corner twisting armdrag. Tiffany dropkick Seductora by mistake, Seductora safely falls off the apron and Dark Angel topes her. Dalys and Goya finish the others.

The edecanes interviews have been back the last couple weeks, which fills some of the time

2: and some more of it is filled by everyone stalling before starting. More técnica showcase, more comedy with Goya. Tiffany, in fact, can not slam Goya Kong. Rudas take over on her after a missed corner charge. Holding and hitting with the other two. Dalys is spun by hair. Seductora spins a lot of time standing in the corner while her partners do two on one spots. Beatdown goes on so long this fall that I lose interest at least twice. Seductora's silla spot goes better this week, though Goya's hard target to miss. Rudas submit the técnicas but Seductora's way behind and doesn't count. Hair pulling would seem to make the hold illegal but Pompin is okay with it.

3: Rudas stay in control. Seductora drops Dark Angel with a reverse powerslam, picks her up, hold her near the ropes, and then kicks her out. Seductora look for help with Dalys, but no one wants to help at first. One Blanca slap, and she's out. Kicks and stomps. On Goya. Dark avoids a corner charge to start the comeback , then takes out all the rudas by herself. Dalys planchas Blanca and Tiffany, then Goya rams them out. Goya helps Dalys to the top rope for a plancha, then does her own plancha off the apron. Crowd is much louder than usual. Seductora and Dark Angel to finish, Dark Angel escapes a powerbomb and gets a reinera for the elimination. Other rudas are counted out, though the técnicas are oblivious.

Stellar Moments

Lo Doloroso: Triton headscissors Puma to the floor.

El Triunfo: Goya splashes the Princesas and Marcela sits on top.

La Combinacion: Niebla Roja full nelson slams Titan onto Stuka

Lo Sensacional: Titan springboard tope con giro onto Neibal Orja, and into the barricade.

El Tecnico: Diamante Azul ramp tope con giro onto Felino.

Match 3: Ángel de Oro, Rey Cometa, Super Porky vs Morphosis, Olímpico, Shigeo Okumura
Arena Mexico, 07/23/2013

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 13:57
Rating: below average/okay
Notes: Semimain entrances = lots of time. Rey Cometa wears his mask to the ring. This rudo squad as a main vent= B-Show. Morphosis looks bored. Mije is with the rudos. Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Oro/Okumura, Cometa/Olímpico, and Porky/Morphosis. Porky uses devastating eye pokes. So much slapping, but so much to slap. Morphosis looks bored doing the comedy spots. Extended bit of Porky forcing his butt in Olimpico's face. Oro does his inside out moonsault onto Okumura, Cometa his running rope grab tornillo and Porky flattens Olímpico with a splash. Everyone would be happy with the match being over now. Well, maybe not the rudos.

2: Cometa armdrags Okumura around, quebradoras him on the floor. Angel de Oro does the Angel de Oro sequence with Olímpico. Morphosis distracts Porky into a light touch from behind by Olímpico, then easily kicks the fat man over to start the beatdown. Morphosis lands hard on Cometa with a flipping double legdrop to his back, then tosses Mije on top for the pin. Olímpico adds on Angel de Oro to finish the fall.

3: Olímpico gives Cometa two big spinebusters, then helps hold him for a Mije low blow headbutt. Mije gets in a dropkick, and Morphosis stops Cometa before he can get any revenge. Morphosis drops Angel de Oro with a spinning slam into a pin for two. Okumura gives Oro his Michinoku Driver, does not try for a pin. Olímpico does the corner to corner clothesline bit, out into a sort of cutter. Olímpico dances and taunts Porky. Porky makes his comeback by slowly running into people, then falling off the apron onto Olímpico. Slow action with the other four, with the técnicos leisurely winning the match.

Match 4: Atlantis, La Máscara, Thunder vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Pierroth
Arena Mexico, 07/23/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:21
Rating: ok/below average
Notes: Entrances. Pierroth's troops come to ringside with him, while Zacarias dances out with Peste Negra. Referee is Tirantes.

1: Pairs are Thunder/Pierroth, Mascara/Felino and Atlantis/Niebla. I am too bored at this point to even pay attention. Rudos start the beatdown before the last one really gets going. Brawling and finish.

2: Pierroth's clotheslines are bad. Mascara ducking a clothesline starts the técnico comeback. Thunder uses a hold on Pierroth, which works as well as you'd think.

3: Tecnico run goes Atlantis, Thunder (better with Pierroth than last week, though they're keeping it very simple) and La Mascara. Felino obliterates Zacarias with a dropkick. Mascara topes Felino, Niebla slaps Atlantis and does his dance, spit coming nowhere close, and reverses an Atlantis 'rana to into his own pin for what probably should be the fall. It is three, but Thunder and Pierroth have a awkward punching battle, Pierroth slams Thunder, no pin, and then Tirantes raises Niebla's arm. Whatever.

Announcers hype Guerreros vs Revolucionarios for next week.
