Match 1: Máscara Dorada vs Mephisto in a lightning match
Arena Coliseo, 03/24/2013

Winner: Mephisto Dorada
Match Time: 7:36
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

Back and forth cradles on the mat to start, then Dorada gets in a flipping run and a springboard headscissors. Mephisto out, Dorada out after him with a big tope con giro, landing on his feet. Replay of that. Crowd chants for Mascara as he makes it back in first. Mephisto in, trapped in a casadora cradle for two. Dorada tossed up, and down with a huracanrana for two. Mephisto is not faring well in this one so far. Both slow up. Dorada kicked back into the corner, but he flips Mephisto to the apron and springboard dropkicks him out Jericho style. Dorada up top, walking the ropes, almost losing it, but regaining his balance for his springboard moonsault. Alexis, taking the photo from behind Mephisto, almost got taken out as they both fell down. Replay. Back live, Mephisto already has Mephisto in a cavernaria, which Dorada of course escapes. Dorada hooked up in the Gori stretch, which is just an easy way for him to escape into a 'sunset flip. Five minute call is about 30 seconds early. Dorada springboard meets Mephisto dropkick, and now Mephisto has a chance here. He goes for the cover, only two. Both up, Mephisto kicks Dorada into the ropes, charges, Dorada sets him on the ropes, slaps him one, and climbs up the buckles. Dorada rope walking into a headscissors to pull Mephisto into the center of the ring one two NO. Crowd chanting Dorada now. Dorada ducks a clothesline, run up the ropes but tripped by Mephisto. Mephisto goes for the crucifix powerbomb, but of course Dorada reverses it to a 'rana, one two NO. Corner reversed, Dorada puts Mephisto up top and climbs up himself. Bad call., Mephisto jabs him, hooks the arms, lifts Dorada up, and drops him with for the Super Devil's Wings. Mephisto is nearly as out on that as Dorada, but crawls on top and hooks the leg, one two NO. Dorada inside cradle one two NO. Mephisto dropkick misses, Dorada huracanrana, Mephisto reverses to a powerbomb, but puts his feet on the ropes and gets caught. Mephisto argues the point, then flips Dorada to the apron. Dorada back in, springboard flip torito one two three!

JCR calls it one of the best lightning matches, and Dorada thanks the fans for their support. Dorada challenges Mephisto to a mask match for no reason.

Sombra, Valiente and Shocker have generic things to say about the next match, though Shocker is at least fired up.

JCR and edecan (Elise?) preview the next match. They push the Pólvora/Valiente feud (and not really Dragon Rojo & La Sombra.)

Match 2: La Sombra ©, Shocker, Valiente vs Dragón Rojo Jr. ©, Pólvora, Tiger

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:19
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Rafael el Maya.

1: Valiente and Pólvora start on the mat, get about 10 seconds in, Dragon Rojo breaks it up, and Sombra chases him around. Match restarts with Shocker and Tiger in, Dragon Rojo decides to come in while they're just doing basic stuff, Sombra spots him and gives Dragon Rojo a wonderful running boot to the face. The rest of the rudos ruin the fun by attacking Sombra from behind to start the beatdown. Dragon Rojo and Sombra end up in with everyone else in their corners, Rojo goes for his mask, then throws Sombra out. Tiger superkicks Valiente and holds him for a Pólvora axhandle while Rojo beats up on Sombra on the outside. Shocker keeps trying to help out, only gets chopped and superkicked. Sombra makes it back in, but takes a hard dropkick from Tiger while doing his backflip, and Tiger spins him around for Dragon Rojo's awkward low blow dropkick. Rojo almost lost his balance, then lost his aim. It's enough for the pin. Rojo goes for Sombra's mask in between falls while Valiente argues with Rambo.

80th promo

2: Dragon Rojo suplexes Sombra on the ramp, which rudely impedes the ring girl's progress. Rojo brings Sombra back in the ring, and dropkick him back out. Lots of promotion for the 70th Anniversary show. Rudos kick Valiente & Shocker around, but Sombra comes back with a dropkick on Dragon Rojo, and is thrown into a tope con giro on him. Shocker spears Tiger well, and Valiente springboard planchas Pólvora. Both finish off the rudos quickly.

Sombra brings Dragon Rojo back in and is a lot quicker and untying the mask, though Dragon Rojo fights to keep it on. Tree of Woe dropkick for him instead.

80th promo

3: Shocker and Valiente get in their offense. Shocker looks good here, as he has all match. Valiente works just with Pólvora, and it's a little slower than you'd expect. Dragon Rojo relents to face Sombra, and loses a forearm battle via dropkick. Shocker clotheslining Pólvora leads to Tiger superkicking him lads to Valiente and Tiger blowing something. They reset and Valiente just does his Valiente Special out of the ring onto Pólvora. (Valiente grabs a shoulder, then his hip after landing.) Tiger lands his tornillo onto Shocker, and Dragon Rojo and Sombra left in. Sombra headscissors, Dragon Rojo blocks it for the Dragon Bomb, Sombra revers that to a huracanrana and holds on for three. Crowd is happy.

Sombra immediately gets the microphone, notes they're both middleweight champions, and asks why they don't do a champion vs champion match. Cut to replays. Dragon Rojo claims he was only pinned for a two count. Pólvora blames poor refereeing. Tiger says he'll get back Shocker. Dragon Rojo says he'll only give Sombra a title match when he beats him with a decent referee.

Marco Corleone and Máximo talk with JCC about the main event, though it's as much messing with the crowd and JCC as anything about the match. No Atlantis.

80th promo.

Miguel and two edcanes (Fabi) preview the main event, with a look back at the Atlantis/Ultimo Guerrero contract signing and talking more about that match.

Match 3: Atlantis ©, Marco Corleone, Máximo vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Volador Jr. ©
Arena Coliseo, 03/24/2013

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:09
Rating: ok
Notes: Rudos have jumped the técnicos. This is Rey Bucanero's return from injury. Referee is Tigre Hispano. Comandante is with the rudos.

1: Rudos organize for 3 on 1s. Volador gives Máximo a big double kneesmash into the corner. Bucanero punches Atlantis as he runs, and Atlantis keeps on running far and falls down. Marco corner whip spells doom for the rudos, always. Volador punches to the floor, Bucanero punches to the floor, Bucanero picked back up, Marco dances and lets Terrible kicks his partner to the floor by accident. Máximo kisses Terrible to set up Marco's pin while Atlantis finishes Volador.

2: Terrible hits his teammates plenty when trying to hit Atlantis, even booting Comandante off the apron. The rudos don't do any better without him. Volador fights off Maximo's kiss but takes a headscissors. Bucanero in an armdragged out, then Terrible is armdragged into walking out. Volador attempts to throw Comandante into the ring to face Marco (like she's Mije), but Comandante not having it. Marco misses a corner splash, Volador kicks him in the chest, Marco & Rey are laughable off timed on an elbow driver, and Terrible adds a top rope splash to pin him.

Marco's not the captain, so Terrible scares Máximo a bit, then Bucanero holds Máximo in place for a Volador backcracker and thats ends it. Terrible steps on Maximo's hands for a bit in between falls.

3: Terrible wins a slaps fight with Marco, then Atlantis takes corner charge (including Bucanero's rolling back elbow.) Corner charge on Maximo backfire, and it starts everyone hitting everyone else for a moment. Bucanero is able to block the Máximo misses, and Comandante kisses Máximo instead. For reasons unclear on the live shot, Atlantis is now on the mat behind Bucanero, so when Bucanero tries to inside cradle Máximo, they roll over the top of Atlantis in the process. Atlantis gets back up so he can and Volador can try their finish for the win.

Volador's comments are edited so he's just challenging Atlantis, but for no date or particular show. Terrible says their plan was to give Máximo a bit of his own medicine. Bucanero is happy to be back in front of his people in his house. Comandante won't say mean things about Marco until Terrible forces her.
