Match 1: Hijo del Fantasma vs Dragón Rojo Jr. in a lightning match
Arena Mexico, 02/15/2013

Winner: Hijo del Fantasma
Match Time: 7:20
Rating: okay/good
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra. I am weirded out by Dragon Rojo wearing a mask that's not a split mask.

Crowd chants for Fantasma! Producer prefers to show giant graphics for each man than their opening mat work, which may be the right call. Fantasma headscissors sets up a big tope on the outside. Both slow back in, Fantasma rolls thru a sunset flip for a dropkick and a two count. Dragon Rojo reverses a corner whip, Fantasma kip out and tries a headscissors, Rojo reverses to a faceslam. Dragon Rojo up top – double stomp looks good this time, Rojo rolls thru on the landing, and turns around to cover. One two NO. Corner whip, corner clothesline, corner whip, corner clothesline, corner whip, Fantasma flips Dragon Rojo over the ropes this time, and gives him a stunner. Fantasma takes a look, runs, and this time launches himself with a tope con giro. Both back in, Fantasma 'ranas, one two NO. Fantasma brings Rojo to the corner, rests, corner whip, reversed, Fantasma flips Dragon Rojo the apron, Dragon Rojo sling and kicks him in the head, Dragon Rojo up top, top rope missile dropkick. Rojo low low dropkick follows. Rojo out to the apron. (Alexis down to a hiding spot!) Running ramp dropkick to Fantasma. Both are slow up and back in. Fantasma in first and chopping Dragon Rojo on the apron. Rojo smashes Fantasma into the buckle, top rope double stomp to the back. Rojo waits for Fantasma to get up, Rojo jumps into a Fantasma powerbomb one two NO. Both slow up. This seven minute match has theme exhausted. Chop fight, forearms, Rojo ducks a clothesline, Fantasma enziguri. Rojo dropped one knee. Fantasma shakes his arms, runs out to the ramp, runs back where Oro is just waiting, Rojo ducks down, Fantasma rolls thru, Rojo clothesline misses, Fantasma 'rana – no, blocked into the Dragon Bomb, and that's that.

Rojo celebrates. Fantasma mopes. Lots of crowd shots.

LXXX promo.

CMLL Cartela: Sunday @ Arena Coliseo - Sombra, Atlantis, Místico vs Rey Escorpion, Averno, Volador

Match 2: Ángel de Oro, Stuka Jr. ©, Valiente vs Averno ©, Mephisto, Namajague
Arena Mexico, 02/15/2013

  1. rudos

  2. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:17
Rating: ok/good
Notes: Rudos enter as a group – but they give away the bit by showing another Namajague lurking in the crowd way too soon. Stuka goes to confront the Namajague (wearing his old mask) on the ramp, while the other Namajague runs thru the crowd and – well, we never see, they go to lineup graphic at the worst time. We're shown that Okumura was in the other Namajague mask after the fact, but much after the reveal. That angle might have been done well live but was horribly shown on television. Referee is Maya.

1: Rudos beatdown the técnicos, with Namajague kicking Stuka around the ramp again. Namajague brings Stuka back in to rip up his mask, and he rips it up good. Namajague kicks Stuka down. Whip, big back elbow, and some stomps. Mephisto and Averno help out and hold Stuka for a dropkick. Rudos stomp to pose. Stuka slips in a takedown on Namajague, but Namajague takes him back down and punches him in the head repeatedly. Namajague clothesline Stuka on the ropes, can't get him over, and kicks and chop him instead. Averno and Mephisto distract the crowd by taking out the other técnicos. Big backdrop for Stuka. Mephisto throws people around outside while Averno holds Stuka for the double chop. Whip, triple boot. Stuka's got a sort of Misterioso mohawk look going on, with his hair sticking up thru the torn top centerof his mask. Averno and Mephisto kick around Oro & Valiente. Valiente makes a comeback just long enough to climb into a middle rope Devil's Wings. Averno breaks out a swinging slam for his pin.

Namajague beats up Stuka on the outside, but Stuka turns around a whip and sends Namajague over the barricade. Rudos help him out. There are so many people in the announce both, they can't fit them all. Rudos send Stuka into the booth, then drags him back out and try to crotch him on the post. Maya blocks that, so the rudos throw him into the barricade instead

2: Averno beats Oro up the ramp, and almost into the card girl. Namajague stomps Stuka in the ring. Namajague slams Stuka, and pins him with one knee for a two count. Corner whip, Namajague kneels, charges, and lands a clothesline. Two count. Namajague double chops Stuka. Stuka turns it around for chops of his own, but the rudos make the save again. It's been about eight minuets of mostly rudo domination. Namajague forearms Stuka. Whip, reversed, Stuka backdrop, rudos in again. Stuka has gotten a little bit, but he's thrown out here again. Averno distracts Valiente into an attack from behind. Averno and Mephisto with the rebound double hiptoss and kick out. Oro in, Mephisto slaps him good. Whip, and the Hijos del Averno pull Oro out feet first. That laves Namajague alone with a Stuka. Namajague doesn’t seem too worried, but Stuka is figured up, Namajague trips up Stuka and stomps him. Rudos back in to help. Whip, double rebound hiptoss, Namajague grabs Stuka, double dropkick gets Namajague, and Stuka topes him. Namajague nearly goes over, and kind of hangs on the barricade. Valiente headscissors on Averno, Mephisto kicks him away, Oro springboard headscissors. Oro runs to the corner, leaps to the apron, and moonsaults off. Valiente Special looks perfect, though Valiente is hurting after the landing. Stuka quebradora on Namajague. Maya's looking at everyone outside. Namajague kick, Stuka catches it and pulls Namajague in the splits, head kick misses, Namajague uppercut foul and small package, one two three.

Niebla approves of that win. Okumura walks back out to celebrate, while Valiente argues about the low blow. Okumura makes sure to insult the people, says Stuka is very good, but Fiebre Amarilla is much better. Namajague kicks Stuka down, promises to Maya he won't do it again, then all the rudos stomp down Stuka as soon as Okumura is done speaking. Averno and Mephisto clear out the other técnicos. Valiente tries to pull Stuka to safety. Replays.

Backstage promo by Stuka, challenging Namajague for a mask vs mask match.

CMLL Cartela: Tuesday @ Arena Mexico – Angel de Oro, Super Porky, Diamante Azul vs Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia, Niebla Roja.

80th Anniversary promo

And the Friday promo is back too – Místico hypes his appearance, the increible parejas tournament, and Kraneo, Psicosis, Atlantis and Místico to appear, though the first two are definitely not on the card.

Match 3: Atlantis ©, La Máscara, Super Porky vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero ©
Arena Mexico, 02/15/2013

  1. Guerreros

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:26
Rating: okay
Notes: Monito is with Porky. Guerreros enter as a group. Atlantis runs at Ultimo Guerrero, Guerrero kicks him, Atlantis falls down but still grabs UG's ankle to trip pull him down. The other Guerreors help out UG, and clear out the técnicos. Referee is Babe Richard.

1: Rudos take control of the ring. Corner clothesline and frog flip double heel kick for Porky. UG flapjacks Mascara into Niebla Roja's kick. Senton de la Muerte on Atlantis. UG paws at Atlantis' mask while the crowd chants for Porky. Flying sit for Atlantis, though Niebla Roja adds a s tornillo spin on his jump. Double suplex for Porky, and a Niebla Roja top rope splash. Ref wont' count until everyone leaves, but it doesn’t matter. Euforia special, though mascara doesn't turn over and lands on his back. Makes it easier for the pin.

Monito hides. Guerreros pose.

2: Rudos kick and chop Mascara around. Trivia question is “who was in the 50th Anniversary main event, and who won?” Since they've asked the 40th and 45th shows the last two weeks, I can guess what they're asking for the next five weeks. Niebla Roja breaks out a handspring forearm for Porky. Guerrero do the huddle dance, and Mascara and Atlantis just dropkick them. UG runs into a quebradora, which leads to the rudos goofing up until they'll all lined up together. Técnicos help Porky to the top rope, which is not an easy takes and he splashes the pile. (Or at least Niebla and UG) Babe Richard wouldn't count when too many guys were in last fall, but is cool with everyone piling on the pin here.

Porky teases another splash, but the rudos slowly get out of the way. Atlantis throws UG into the barricade on the outside.

3: Atlantis goes UG's mask, almost pulling if off. UG puts it back on as he's hanging in the three of woe, even though Atlantis kicks him down own. Spinebuster, and back to the mas. Babe Richard breaks it up this time. UG escapes in the meantime. Niebla Roja in, but no one on the técnico side in a hurry to face him. Mascara comes in, but UG comes in to face him anyway. Evasion, UG swings and misses, Mascara headscissors him out. Roa in, they have trouble with the spinning armdrag, rolling dropkick sends Roja out. Euforia in, flipping armdrag sends Euforia to the corner, Mascara flipped to the apron, swing kick, and top rope headscissors. Rolling pose. Porky stats with his usual bit, but he walks out when UG slaps him. Rudos walk after him to the ramp, he belly bumps them all done, and does the 'running' sit there. Replay. Atlantis gets the better of Niebla Roja with a plancha, then runs Euforia into him to send him out. Quebradora for Euforia, quebradora for UG, and Atlantis goes for his mask again. Babe Richard wants him, both back up, Atlantis monkey flip send UG out. Atlantis urns, then stops and poses. Mascara flips Euforia to the apron, Euforia pulls him down by the mask but gets kicked come in back in. Superkick knocks Euforia to the floor, Mascara tope follows. Niebla Roja runs into Porky's gut, rolls out,, Asai tease, and Porky does the plancha instead. UG and Atlantis in, UG runs into the Atlantida, but escapes out back for an inside cradle, one two three. That was really not much.

Rudos celebrate. Lots of crowd shots.

Backstage, the Guerreros talk about being the best trio, much better than técnicos.

Mr. Niebla says he had fun doing the announcing.

Replays.
