Match 1: Rey Cometa, Sagrado ©, Triton vs Hijo del Signo, Misterioso Jr. ©, Vangelis
Arena Coliseo, 10/21/2012
rudos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:34
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Terror Chino.
1: Not much to note about Cometa/Signo and Vangelis/Triton. Lots of shots of the announcers this week. They broadcast Arena Coliseo seats, so the poor people behind him have people talking in front of them all show. Sagrado/Misterioso barely starts before everyone else gets involved. Sagrado gets in a springboard tope con giro, but Triton is stopped when trying to take on the other two. Vangelis Storm on him, then Signo reverses a Cometa 'rana by rolling over Triton. Cometa is pinned for a five count, ref breaking his count when Vangelis dares to touch Cometa's foot.
2: Rudos controlled fall; almost a rudo showcase fall, as they each go thru the técnicos for a while, though not with the técnico moves. Misterioso has a new bit where he puts Cometa in an armbar, and just starts slapping Cometa tripped repeatedly, then slaps him in the face. Misterioso also makes good use of Cometa's hair, stepping on it to keep him in line. Signo's off the shoulder spinning slam is still not as impressive. Vangelis wheel kick, check. Vangelis spears Triton and sure seems to pin him for three, Triton not exerting much effort to get his shoulder up. Misterioso misses a corner charge to start the comeback, Sagrado getting in a springboard headscissors to send him out. Triton headscissors Vangelis and lands on him with the Valiente Special. Cometa tornillos Signo. Sagrado cradles Misterioso in usual fashion.
3: Tecnico offense fall. Cometa run includes him being flipped easily off a Vangelis clothesline, but coming back with a stunner and a 450 splash. Misterioso makes the save, threatens the referee. Misterioso's uses an Attitude Adjustment for 2 - Rey Cometa could beat John Cena, obviously – then does his charge into the post. Signo stops Cometa with a dropkick, an d the rudos ram him backwards into the post as Sagrado gives Signo a couple quebradora. Rudos kick him out, then knock Triton down as he comes in. Sagrado springboard dropkicks (Vangelis gets trapped by the bottom rope rolling out), quebradora for Misterioso, springboard moonsault lands but isn't enough. That's a problem for Sagrado. Clothesline blocked, kick, Gori Special, three count for Misterioso.
Match 2: Bam Bam vs Pequeño Olímpico in a lightning match
Arena Coliseo, 10/21/2012
Winner: Pequeño Olímpico by COR
Match Time: 3:18
Rating: n/a
Notes: Referee is Pompin.
A recap of the match is mostly pointless. None of what happened mattered at the end, and you're just left with reading into everything as a sign of the result. Bam Bam does seem more robotic and slower than usual.
Bam Bam gets flipped to the apron at about 2:30. He swing kicks Olímpico away, climbs up carefully, but misses the top rope when he tries to plant his foot, just brushing it with his boot and starts the fall. He tries to put his foot back on the ropes and has it for a millisecond, but he's already lost his balance. The back of Bam Bam's legs fall on the ropes, as if he was trying a rope flip moonsault to the floor, but he's out of control now. An attempt to grab the top rope fails. Bam Bam tucks his head in, but that only seems to get him more contact with the apron the way he's falling. Bam Bam hits the apron hard and rolls off backwards to the floor. Olímpico jumps off the apron to elbow drop him, but the doctor is there. Replay. Cut to Pompin waving off the fall (which happens much quicker here), and the security quickly carrying Bam Bam to the fast. One more replay.
Match 3: Blue Panther, Marco Corleone, Super Porky vs Felino, Pólvora, Tiger
Arena Coliseo, 10/21/2012
técnicos
Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:28
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra. Zacarias is with the rudos.
1: Pólvora/Panther battle on the mat. Pólvora in trouble until the cats get in stomps. Panther again traps Pólvora, cats enter, técnicos spots them, cats redirect the ref to stop the técnicos and stomp the hold. Felino takes over and has more success, but ends up DDTed and by Panther and splashed by Porky. Younger técnicos get splashed on drops down as well. Felino dropkicks Porky out, then gets into a usual foolishness with Marco before being punched out. Marco punches out everyone, Porky splash Felino, and this time it sticks.
2: Felino shoved out climbing the ropes, but Pólvora stomps him form a dive and stomps him for a while. Tiger has no luck with Porky, and gets driven out of the ring on a shoulderblock. Tiger has no luck with Marco, who takes the LOL bump on a Tiger clothesline and repeatedly pulls Tiger back on the apron for the knock out punch. Double clothesline for the other two. Tiger surprises Marco with a superkick out of nowhere to give the rudo the win from nowhere. Pólvora puts on an ugly cloverleaf for the other.
3: Zac gets in a 619 on Porky, but this goes quickly back to técnicos in control and rudos just trying not get beat. End game has Marco landing his springboard plancha on Tiger and Pólvora, but getting kicked out by then, Porky belly bumping them out, Felino backdropping Panther into a pescado close to the other guys, but turning and running right into Porky's belly bump. Porky splashes the guys on the floor, and reassembles for a Marco splash. Felino and Panther come back in, Felino gets in his running dropkicked but gets pulled into the Fujiwara for the win. Felino gives up so quick that Panther is totally confused when the referee warns him to let go.
Match 4: Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Rush vs Tama Tonga, Terrible, Volador Jr.
Arena Coliseo, 10/21/2012
rudos
Winner: rudos
Match Time: 11:15
Rating: ok
Notes: Comandante and Mije are with the rudos. Referee is Tiger Hispano. Rudos have jumped the técnicos.
1: Tama goes for Azul's mask while the other rudos take care of the other técnicos on the outside. Rush battles back, only to be kicked. Everyone gets to their corner, except the rudos keep Azul in to work over. Tonga has a nice punch and elbow drop here. Terrible dimly whips Azul into the técnico cover, where Atlantis easily makes a tag. Terrible is able to drag Atlantis back to the rudo cover, where Volador tags in, whips Atlantis into a superkick, and backcrackers for the win.
2: Rudos stay in control. Mije's thrown on Azul for rudo. Rush, barely involved prior, holds his own with Terrible until Volador goes to the hair. They tell him to back off, and Terrible wins the chop fight with his face slaps. Kicks to the chest. Rush works in a wheel kick, and a tope con giro to turn the tide. Tonga wants a long time for his dive, and Azul awkwardly missile dropkicks him. Rush chokes out Terrible with some sort of object he took form a fan in the crowd. Azul tope on Tonga. Volador into the Atlantida.
3: Atlantis takes advantage of all sorts of rudo bumbling. Tonga gets over late on a backdrop, but lives to take a quebradora. Volador and Azul gesture at each other, Volador handsprings into the waistlock, escapes again, still gets presses and tossed into Tonga. Azul superkicks Volador into the corner, but Tonga grabs him and this him. Tonga will regret this. Azul turns him around and hangs him in the Tree of Woe, then flattens him with a his corner senton. Tonga pulls himself up to get out, so Azul makes sure to get in one more shot. Volador blames Mije! Tama chops, Rush headbutts. Volador lets the crowd know he's not impressed with Rush. Rush talks a lot in the ring. Volador takes his turn, takes a dropkick, and leaves. Chop fight with Terrible is long and even, , but this his time Rush gets in the big face slap to win. Rush slam, double stomp, top rope senton misses. Terrible Schewin one two three!
Azul runs over Terrible with a couple topes, misses a third, duck a punch and German suplexes him over.
Tonga punches Azul out, Atlantis punches Tonga out of the ring, Volador and Atlantis complete for cheers. Volador flipping run still gets him quebradoras and a dropkick. Atlantis tope sends Volador up the ramp. Azul and Tonga back in, Tonga misses, Azul waistlock, Tonga pulls the mask , fouls Azul, and covers him. Tiger Hispano turns around and counts three. JCR accuses Tiger Hispano of being in love with Comandante and notes how angry that will make his wife.
