  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 16:39
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Taurus/Molotov, Soberano/Cancerbero, Pegasso/Raziel.

Taurus is wearing a log sleeve black shirt and trunks, which is an odd look. He's no Zavala. Soberano is wearing bodypaint to look thicker, but then he's in with Cancerbero so good luck. Cancerbero at least makes his offense look good. Raziel and Pegasso are last, though the referee puts up a fuss over Raziel and Cancerbero's. tag. Pegasso succeeds on armdrags, fails on a dropkick. Raziel chops Pegasso and waves him back and forth off the ropes, which seems like particularly cruel punished for Raziel. Pegasso puts a stop to it by headscissors Raziel out, then turning a boost into a headscissors off the apron. Cancerbero rushes in, but is backdropped and cradles for a pin. Taurus dropkicks Molotv out, but Soberano trips him into the ropes for the guillotine moonsault and finishing pin.

2: Soberano headscissors Taurus, confidentially walks around the ring, and gets run over by a Taurus wheel kick. Should've been paying attention. Sobreano flips Taurus to the apron, swing kicks him there before hopping, and then send him up the ramp with a rebound armdrag. Cancerbero drops Molotov and clears off the other técnicos apron. Big flapjack for Molotov. Cancerbero ties another, Molotov comes down with an armdrag, then sends Cancerbero to the ropes by casadora armdrag. Another armdrag, another armdrag. Raziel grabs the ropes to evade a Pegasso dropkick, stomps him, and also clears off the apron. Raziel drags Pegasso over the top rope for Cancerbero snap his neck over the top rope, then kicks and clothesline Raziel around the ring. Two count on a clothesline. Raziel stops to taunt Molotov, then send him into Cancerbero's boot. Rudos are lax, and Pegasso rolls to his corner to make a tag, but Cancerbero drags in Molotov to replace him. Stomps and kicks to the back of the right knee. Taurus comes in to help split the legs as the fans start a rudo chant. Taurus gives Molotov a clothesline that Tony Salazar would not approve of. Corner clothesline for Soberano, and chops while Cancerbero helps out from outside. Corner whip, Taurus sits on the top rope (hmmm), Soberano charges to join him, and Taurus gives him a super layout flapjack. Soberano almost take sit on to his head. Taurus covers, ref doesn’t like the pin, Taurus fixed it and gets three.

Molotov in and grabbing a leg, but Cancerbero attacks him form behind. Scorpion armbar does it.

3: rudos still in charge. Taurus tags in both his partners so they can land a corner charge on Soberano, with Cancerbero standing nearly next to the corner to boost Raziel into a big press. Raziel still lands it because he's Raziel. Boot choke. Pumphandle faceslam only gets two, to Raziel's surprise. Soberano tags out, Pegasso tags in, Raziel circles him around, ref gets in the way, then Cancerbero kicks Pegasso anyway. Raziel spinebusters Pegasso, picks him up, and throws him with a side belly to belly suplex for two. Raziel taunts, Pegasso comes back with chops, but Raziel takes out his leg. Whip, dropkick to the knee, inverted figure four. Pegasso screams, but holds out until Molotov can break it up. Rudos boot Pegasso out. Molotov turn to beat up, but he eventually comes back with a boost headscissors on Taurus. Whip by Cancerbero turns into a Molotov tope on Taurus. Cancerbero armdrag to trip up and dropkick skinny Soberano, then give him the tapatía neckbreaker for three.

Pegasso dropkicks Cancerbero out. Raziel in, then upset about Pegasso being in. Pegasso drops him with a quebradora of questionable quickly, then they get lost on a headscissors to a Raziel reversal of one. Raziel turns Pegasso over on the mat, and hooks him in a submission for the win.

Match 2: Estrellita, Goya Kong, Marcela vs Amapola, La Comandante, Princesa Blanca
Arena Mexico, 10/02/2012

  1. rudas

  2. técnicas
  3. técnicas

Winner: técnicas (2-1)
Match Time: 13:11
Rating: poor
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

1: Fall starts off with a typical bit of Estrellita putting Amapola in a hold and Blanca breaking it up, but Blanca accelerates it from there by knocking Estrellita down as she's running the ropes. It turns into total ruda beatdown for the entirety of the first fall. It's well organized and generally goes smoothly – Amapola trying to turn Goya around in the ropes for her hair pull turns out to be not something that really works with Goya, but its till sets up the submission. Comandante, who had earlier giant swinged Marcela four times, submits her

Blanca drags Estrellita around ringside in an armbar, attacking a wrist. A zoom in show Estrellita is bleeding. It's not exactly clear when it was cut; the first time Blanca broke up a hold, she stomped that hand, but Estrellita wasn't obviously checking on until the fall was nearly over, and she had been dropkicked thru the ropes by Amapola and landed hard on the ramp.

2: Rudas remain in control. In one of the more obvious displays of referee communication in a while, Pompin grabs his earpiece as Estrellita comes in, listens to something, and then waves to the back. I guess they wanted to know if she was okay? Estrellita has her hand wrapped, but still ends up with blood on her head thanks to Blanca. Rudas all take turns throwing her around by her hair. It falls apart when they whip her into the tecnica, and Estrellita evades two and headscissors Amapola. Marcela sends Blanca out with her own top rope headscissors, and an Estrellita tope con giro that doesn't quite get there. Marcela and Goya drop Comandante and Amapola near the corner, Marcela goes up, top rope splash. Goya running splash, ref wont' count if Marcela helps cover but Goya covering two is a-okay.

Blanca still throws Estrellita around ringside. Marcela checks on Estrellita and they have a discussion about something.

3: Goya crushes Amapola in a variety of ways. Marcela tries to out hit Comandante, which just gets her chokeslams. Marcela tries speed and headscissors, and that works better. Cartwheel double knee drop is looking better. Blanca dropkick Estrellita as she comes in, shakes her about her head, and spins her out. Estrellita comes back with a run up the corner armdrag, then dropkicks Blanca low as she rolls backwards. Reactions hot from Tim Burton. Estrellita puts on a hold, rudas try to break it up, técnicas roll them up, two counts. Goya and Marcela bump the rudas out, then Goya helps Marco to the top for a springboard plancha on both. Marcela gets the rudas up so Goya can do her big dive, which isn't really much caught by anyone. Estrellita in, crowd loudly chanting for her. Blanca misses a clothesline, Blanca chops Estrellita anyway. Whip, casadora into the – wait, no, she started to put it on the wrong way – Star Cross on, Blanca gives.

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 15:54
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra. Wait, Puma King and NOT Rey Cometa? So confusing.

1: Panther and Vangelis have a long battle over abdominal stretches, which leads to Vangelis putting on the suástica. He's not a Nazi! Panther sticks with putting Vangelis in holds every time he tries to speed it up. Crowd boos Diamante for existing and flipping. Quick pins leads to headscissors from the mat to more quick pins to a quick tag out. That was not useful. Fantasma takes on Mephisto Bane in some sort of comic crossover. Puma decides to interrupt with a kick to Fantasma's back. Técnicos want in, Referee deals with them, and Puma just comes back and stomps Fantasma more. Great job, ref. Mephisto takes time out of his day to taunt Blue Panther as the announcers note the poor job of refereeing. No matter, Fantasma immediately lands a quebradora con giro. Rudos break up his latest hold, and the same scene plays out again. Puma is just quick enough to slip out of the ring before the ref turns around. To the surprise of no one, fans are chanting for the wildly successfully rudos. Fantasma, of course, is perfectly fine and starts monkey flipping Fantasma around. 'rana one two three. No drama.

2: Puma requests a timeout rather than deal with Diamante. Doesn't take. Back in the ring, evasion includes Diamante slowly backflip into a kick. Diamante doesn’t stop flipping, and powerslams Puma for two. Puma chops Diamante in the chest to set up his four bounce armdrag. Puma spins out of the ring, then spins outside it. Vangelis lands his spear on Fantasma, but Fantasma comes back with an armdrag and a headscissors. Vangelis out, Fantasma posing, crowd booing. Vangelis straddles the barricade for some reason. Mephisto slaps panther hard, Panther ducks and chops and forearms him. Whip, reversed, clothesline misses, Panther reverses a quebradora and lands on top of Mephisto. Mephisto kicks him as they get up, but his clothesline is turned into the fujiwara. Panther knows he's getting kicks and covers up, but the referee argues with Vangelis as he breaks up the hold. Puma claims innocence! Panther's Farmers Roll impresses the announcers, but the rudos blow him up with dropkicks and clear off the técnico corner. Triple powerbomb on Panther. Puma dropkick, Vangelis Northern lights suplex for the win.

3: Rudos kick and choke Fantasma while the referee stops help from arriving. Diamante is briefly in and kicked low. Puma baits Panther into an attack from behind. Turnaround spot is Panther randomly reversing an armbar into one of his own, and landing corner clotheslines on Mephisto with Diamante. Mephisto gets control back by taking down Diamante. Diamante escapes a corner charge, but Puma still superkicks him. Rudos go right back to the corner whip without issue, all landing corner clotheslines. Rudos try it again with Fantasma, but Diamante flips him to safety and that starts the real comeback. Fantasma swing kick for Mephisto, Diamante double faceslam on the others, and they get up in time to take the Phantom Lariat. Fantasma boots Panther into a pescado on Vangelis, then does his own tope con giro onto Puma. Diamante dumps Mephisto in position, heads out on the apron, looks shaky but lands the top rope springboard 450 splash.

Arena Mexico, 10/02/2012

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: ?
Rating: eh
Notes: Comandante is with TRT. Mije is not with Volador. Referee is Tirantes.

1: Azul armdrags Volador around, including a variation of a jumping snap mare, before they do quick pins and tags. Shocker makes fun of Terrible's bald head. Shocker has a death wish! Rey Bucanero sneaks in and cheap shots Shocker, and Shocker can't quite get to him. Shocker gets back to business, the business of pulling up the bottom of Terrible's trunks. Eventually, around to a hold, and Bucanero kicks it apart again. Bucanero tries hiding behind the ringpost to get away from Shocker. It sort of works. Shocker puts on a headlock, and walks around with it, waisting for Bucanero to break it up. Instead, Terrible shoots him off and Bucanero gets in a kick from outside. Shocker stops and punches him, Terrible slaps Shocker, Azul thrust kicks Terrible, Volador springboard headscissors Azul, Porky flattens Volador with his fat, and then the other two rudos too. Rudos get back up and stomp Porky into the mat. Volador impressed by putting Porky in the slingshot hold, and Bucanero adds his rolling senton. Shocker is taken down easily, and Azul is to late to break it up. He's still in, so the rudos feel obligated to beat him up a bit. Flying sit for him.

2: Rudos kick and slap around Volador. Volador does a lot of both, and Porky falls down on a high kick. Crowd both loudly chants for Porky and boos the chants. Volador tries to pick Porky up for something, Porky doesn't want to go up,a dn Volador ends up with a headlock on the mat instead. Bucanero rushes in and slams Porky himself. Bucanero taunt annoys the técnicos. Chinlock, while Porky talks to Bucanero. Shocker comes in and breaks it up with a kick. Porky tries to crawl out, Volador grabs him by the leg, Azul thinks he's tagged in, but no he hasn't. Long discussion follows. Volador drags Porky all the way cross the ring, then holds him for a Terrible kick to the face. Terrible armbar allows Azul to tag in for real, but the rudos all grab Azul before he can do much. Double backdrop for Azul. Volador knocks Shocker down from behind. Corner whip into Terrible's boots. Corner whip back to towards the técnicos, Shocker moves from Terrible's charge, then moves again so Volador superkicks his partner. Those two are knocked in the corner, Bucanero is tossed in too, and the other técnicos whip Porky in for the big sit. Bucanero gets crushed. Crowd is split on this and the chant for more. Bucanero gets up to prevent it, but tries a sunset flip anyway. That works as well as well as it usually does. Azul pulls Terrible over oddly for a German suplex, and Volador just bails to avoid Shocker.

3: Porky slap comedy. Terrible tries to help Porky to the top rope for an armdrag headscissors spot, but he needs all the help he can get and more. Terrible slaps down Volador by mistake, Porky bowls him over not by mistake. Terrible wins a slap fight with Azul, Azul comes back with armdrags and a quebradora. Volador double rotation headscissors sorts of falls apart by one and half in. Azul picks up Volador and presses him into Bucanero, then gives Bucanero the giant armdrag. Bucanero is slow up, but up in time to give Bucanero a monkey flip. Bucanero gets out of there while Azul rolls and poses. Shocker and Bucanero slap fight leads to a Shocker hiptoss, and Volador interrupts with a hard chop of his own. Shocker spins him around, Stunner, quebradora, quebradora, quebradora. Armbar is broken by Terrible slap. Azul plancha him and headscissors Terrible in the corner to set up his corner senton. Bucanero takes a monkey flip to the floor (!) and a Porky plancha off the apron, while Azul topes Terrible. Shocker and Volador in to finish it. Shocker clothesline misses, Volador kills him with a superkicks. Volador calls for the end, Shocker clothesline is caught, Shocker to waistlock, Volador stops the reinera try with a mule kick foul, and clotheslines him over. Volador covers, but it doesn't matter – Tirantes shoves him off and gives it to Shocker.

Announcers, joined by a tired Rey Bucanero, wrap up.
