AAA on Televisa #1061 (09/09/2012)
Recapped: 09/12/12

The open of TripleMania is repeated again. Perhaps there was not quite enough material for three full shows. Might as well point out that this show is 1h2m, shorter than last week's 1h10m and the first part's 1h9m.

TripleMania review commercial, now with footage from the show, including the matches we're still waiting here to air.

Video package for the next match.

Match 1: Octagón, Semental, Texano, Toscano vs La Parka, Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown
Arena Ciudad de Mexico, 08/05/2012

Winner: rudos
Match Time: 7:17
Rating: eh
Notes: Copetes is ref, walking out behind Consejo. you know how you TripleMania is a big show? Texano has TWO bullropes. (Or he broke one.) Toscano wears a clown nose to mock the opposition. Octagon's (evil) video works good with his (evil) music. High fives for the Consejo fellows without any issues. Clowns are preceded by a guy with a unicycle, some clowns juggling, and a guy with a spinning torch of fire. OK. Psycho has a strange Batman costume on. Mini Clown sprays something at the fans. Murder has a Hulk thing going on. Monster is just Monster. La Parka is preceded by dancing zombies (not Monsters.) Camera works seems more interesting in showing off the set than the dancers. Park does turn up to dance in front of them on his way to the ring. Octagon ends the dance party by hitting him with a chair as Park walks to the ring. How do they not see this coming? Rudos are presumably beating the técnicos in the ring, but we don't see any of it.

Murder immediately pulls out T&T, and Psycho and Monster tope them. Park clotheslines Octagon, and quebradoras Semental. Low blow headbutt for Semental by Psycho. Murder flying sit on Toscano. Octagon sidesteps a Murder corner charge to turn it back for the rudos. Kicks and such. Corner charges on and splashes on Psycho. Octagon stands over Parka and occasionally punches him as Consejo take care of the Clowns. Consejo try to get Parka, but Octagón doesn't like that idea and whips himself into the corner, then promptly misses a corner charge. Parka clothesline him. Toscano jumps on Parka with a forearm, but misses a corner charge. How many missed corner charge are there int his match? Parka sort of kneels down to cover but not really, but it's still enough for Texano to slingshot senton his partner. Rudo bumbling continues with Octagón accidentally kicking Texano and then Toscano. Octagon doesn’t leave the ring, possibly waiting for a chance to attack hit Semental too, but Park flapjacks him by himself. Octagon ducks out on the run, and Texano is finally able to kick down Parka. Crowd is making no noise, which seems impossible. Texano telling the crowd to silence before chopping Psycho is at least funny. Anyway, it's time for Psycho to cause the Consejo to hit each other by mistake, and the crowd comes alive. Murder does the same, dropkick his partners out, and then going to the top rope for no reason other then it's time to do the stacked up superplex but they do in every match. Mini Clown dutifully takes his bump on the apron too. Park comes back in and clotheslines Semental out, then jogs for a tope. Half effort is overstating it. Octagón runs a little faster with his tope on Parka. Monster runs, Texano gets involved, sunset flip reversal end with a Texano kick. Texano immediately throws himself out on a corner charge, and Psycho gets in his tope con giro. Psycho and Toscano in, Psycho winding up for punch, then missing a dropkick. Toscano is tossed nicely into a tope con giro no the floor. Murder flips his partner Psycho to the apron, so he can go up and tope con giro everyone. Murder gets in his plancha too. Wait, off all these guys, it's Semental who doesn't get to do a dive? So wrong. Parka and Octagon back in, and now the crowd is loud for the face off, less so when they're fighting. Parka throws his usual punches. DDT, I guess, not sure, but Semental walks in and stomps it up. Crowd boos him as strong as they've booed anything, because he's doing it to Parka. Semental grabs Parka, Octagon kicks, Parka jumps up, and Octagon's fouled Semental by mistake. Parka immediately and carefully inside cradles Octagón one two three. Crowd cheers.

Parka and friends celebrate. Doctor are checking on Octagon right away. Looking back, Parka did not (could not?) make any attempt to catch Octagon, and Octagon went hard into ground. If it happening during the match, it happened then. After After the técnicos leave, Consejo start to beat up Octagon. Break.

Mascara Año 2000 Jr. vs Dr. Wagner video package.

Match 2: Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Máscara Año 2000 Jr., mask vs mask
Arena Ciudad de Mexico, 08/05/2012

Winner: Dr. Wagner Jr.
Match Time: 14:40
Rating: eh as a match, good as a spectacle
Notes: Mascara Año 2000 Junior is accompanied by his father, and wearing a sombrero and coat. He's trying hard to be charismatic. Dr. Wagner is preceded by dancers in Aztec gear. Wagner himself has the Mexican flag. Where he does he think Mascara is from? Hijo de Dr. Wagner and Silver King are with him. Marisela does the Wagner touch with him, hilarious. Copetes is referee. There's another set of introductions in ring. Crowd very into Wagner.

Mascara throws Wagner as he looks at the crowd. They start throwing punches to the body and the side of the head. Mascara get the better and headbutts Wagner, but Wagner just fires up, spins around and punches Máscara down. Kicks and such. Whip, Samoan drop, Máscara sat up and dropkicked in the back of the head. It's tough to tell how the crowd is reacting because we're not seeing much of them on the main show, but they seem to be very active and without making much noise outside of the thunderstick. Wagner rolls up mascara for a two count. Arturo seems stronger at the end of this show then the start. Mascara Sr. wastes no time in grabbing Wagner's foot as he comes off the ropes, and Mascara Jr. takes advantage to dropkick him out. Punches on the outside by the rudo. Wagner rammed back firs tint the post, and Mascara Sr. gets in his own punches to the head. Silver King argues, but is held by Copetes from getting involved. Back inside, Mascara powerbomb, and he rips at Wagner's mask. Mascara signal waves to Mascara Sr., who throws in something – it made a metal clinking sound when it hit the mat so maybe a fork? - and Mascara Jr. sets up grinding it into Wagner's head. Silver King objects, and Copetes busies himself with him instead of breaking it up. I don't think it's supposed to be a blade, it's far too long, but they also don’t really it from the front or give us a shot of it. Announcers are talking about past mask matches. Mascara takes what seems like a long time working on this cut before Mascara Sr. takes over with jabs to the head from the outside. Wagner's mask is already red, so blood doesn’t stand out right away. It does appear he's bleeding. Crowd is unhappy. Silver King threatens to get involved with a chair but doesn't, while Dr. Wagner III argues with Jesus Zuniga. Mascara works at the cut more. Mascara Sr. comes directly in the ring and works at the cut – there's a good shot of the blood for the first time here. Copetes occupies himself keeping Silver King out more. Mascara Sr. rips up Wagner's mask a bit more, which helps. His left palm is covered in blood, though not much attention is paid to it. Mascara Jr. covers for two, then scoops and slams Wagner for another pin. Crowd is loud chanting for Wagner and then booing even louder. This is really not much of a match. Mascara Junior holds Wagner while his father kicks him, then they switch. That backfires, and Junior kicks Senior out of the ring. Junior holds his hand over his head while Wagner drunkenly stumbles around. Mascara kicks and turned into a dragon screw. Dropkick sends Mascara out. Mascara poses on the apron, then lands his tope con giro. Wagner punches Mascara Sr. around ringside., then gets the object, which sure appears to be a fork even if they won't zoom in on it. Wagner's chest is covered in blood. Wagner rips up Mascara's mask, much bigger than Máscara did his, and teases the fork. Copetes stops him, so Wagner shoves Copetes, who takes a big bump then is up fine in seconds. Wagner stabs Mascara with the fork a few times, then grinds it in. Sit down powerbomb, one....two...no. Silver King gets on the apron to argue. Wagner sets up for another, and actually land the powerbomb without a cover. Copetes inspect the pin for a while, one two...no. Copetes wasn't going to count three, but Mascara did kickout in rhythm. Wagner starts to for a campana, stop (or maybe means to have a reverse crab) and waits for a long time Máscara Sr. to come in and hit him a few times. Mascara's white pants are turning red. Mascara kicks Wagner in the chest repeatedly, then collapses in the corner. Mascara walks over, covers Wagner, one two no. Not exactly a speedy count, and Copetes didn't seem like hew as going to count three ether. Crowd chants for Dr. Wagner. Mascara Sr. in and kicks Wagner again. His son helps. Crowd is angry about this. Hijo de Dr. Wagner gets up on the apron, but Silver King takes the chair from him. Crowd begging Silver King to hit the rudos, who back off. Silver King (holding the chair upside down) instead hits Wagner in the face. Chair shot to Hijo de Wagner as he comes in too. Crowd is aghast. Silver goes to the floor as fans throw in garbage. Máscara covers – one two hand on the ropes. Crowd is too busy booing to notice. Fans are after enough from the ring that its' impressive whenever a drink lands in the river. Mascara change the pin and tries again, one two no. A Random Fan hits the ring in a Dr. Wagner mask, covering up Dr. Wagner Junior. Security person starts to stop him, then seems to relent when he says something to them – is he part of the show? They don't go after him again until Mascara starts stomping the interloper. That's crazy. Also crazy is the entire section of fans who are pelting Silver King with drinks and popcorn and whatever in the background. Silver threw a drink into the crowd, which caused people to rush to the barricade to start throwing stuff at him. Silver is badly out gunned. Security throws the interloper near into the announce desk, but right next to it. Black Terry Jr., shooting at ringside, ducks one drink going over his head, but not another one that nearly hits him in the face. This has broken down a bit. Mascara Jr. slams Wagner Jr. in the ring. Mascara Sr. grabs the Random Fan, pulls him around the ring, and slaps and kicks him the guy towards the stage. Silver King sprints around the ring to help stomp the fan. Mascara Sr. is pulling his stomps – so is this part of the show? Silver King is not. Mascara Jr. wanders over and definitely is and the guy is selling them anyway, so I go with yes, they did a worked fan run in. Hijo de Wagner get to his feet and climbs the ropes as the rudos not actually in the match come back in the ring. Bad looking missile dropkick to knock them both down. Silver King falls down, rolls into the ref, gets up, staggers, and falls out of the ring. Uh huh. Rudos line up on the outside so Hijo de Wagner can can in a superman plancha to the floor. Mascara Jr.. comes back in, but Wagner happens to have a bottle in his hand (from the fan?) and breaks it over Mascara's head. Wagner staggers around, sees Máscara down, pulls down his straps and poses, and then covers. One two …...three. Crowd is insanely loud.

Wagner's celebrate, but are tired. Mascara JR. does not move.

Upcoming shows.

Mascara Sr. and Jesus come to the ring for the unmasking. Mascara Año 2000 Jr. is still down. Mascara Sr., but it's tough to hear him over the booing. He claims Wagner cheated, but they're professionals, so he'll unmask. Mascara Año 2000 Jr. is still down, but Copetes and Mascara Senior. are now checking on him. Wagner takes the time for a victory speech. Hijo de Wagner, who did not bleed but did hug his dad, is streaked in blood. Wagner Jr. says his family is beat than the Mascara family and goes the catchphrase. The doctor has finally decided to check on Mascara Jr., who still hasn't moved. Wagner's music plays, but Mascara Sr. get microphone to briefly argue the point. Mascara Jr. is sat up for the mask to be untied. Mascara Junior's daughter is in the ring and crying. Not sure if that's about the unmasking or the shape her father is in. She hugs him (he's totally responsive now, a miracle.) Mascara tries to takedown Wagner, but Wagner moves enough and Mascara just stumbles around on his knees. He doesn't know the match is over, you see. His daughter walks over and unmasks her father, still crying. Wagner's celebrates while Mascara's face is revealed, though we don't get a good shot off it for a moment. Mascara Jr. gives his name, face covered in blood, and rolls out. His daughter and father go with him, and help him to the back. Confetti. Wagner slaps hands at ringside while we see Mascara helped around the back, security people now helping him. Wagner shows off his new mask to all the fans, and talks to Marisela.

Break.

Backstage of footage of Máscara Sr. and Mascara Jr. talking, though we can't really hear what he's saying. He's hurt and sad but taking photos for the media. They let us hear him say he's going for vengeance, then the doctor works on his cut.

Show recap package. This one goes five minutes long. And then the Pena tribute is shown again. That's it.
