1: Puma goes right for Cometa's mask, trying to pull it off. Rudos keep the others two at bas Puma pulls Cometa down in the tree of woe for a kick. Dropkick flips Comet, and Puma pummels him with punches in the back of the head. Stomp too. Whip, Cometa over, and into a clothesline. It's going bad for him. Stuka yells from the ropes, and Puma superkicks him out. Corner whip, Cometa bounces out into a superkick, Cometa's spit going far in the air. Puma backdrop, kick to the back of the head. Everyone else is in their corners now. Puma shoulderblocks Cometa clear of the ring. Maya tries to run and in dropkick Puma, but he moves and Maya kicks hair. Niebla Roja in with an armbar and a hammerlock, bringing in Misterioso. Flapjack kick to chest combo. May tags in Stuka as he rolls out. Misterioso tries just slapping Stuka, and Stuka fight back from that until Misterioso is able to fell him with ab gi chop. Whip, sunset flip, Misterioso rolls thru and kicks Stuka in the back of the head. Misterioso happy with the way that's going. Tag to Puma for a chop. Whip, dropkick sends Stuka out. Cometa crawls back in, still hurting, and Puma offers a handshake. Cometa isn't accepting it. So Puma chops him with the hand instead. Crowd chanting for Puma. Puma drags Cometa around by his hair, and tags in both partners. Everyone takes a turning chopping Cometa in the corner. Corner whip, Niebla charge in, Cometa moves, and Misterioso boosts into a headscissors on Puma. Superkick for Misterioso, Niebla flips Cometa to the apron, Cometa slaps him back, turns the other way and dives off – no, Puma moves, Cometa rolls thru to the floor, headscissors – no, Puma blocks and smacks Cometa into the barricade again! They like that spot. Stuka and Misterioso in, Stuka runs right into the Gori Special. Didn't seem like he got all of that. Misterioso cuts his throat before covering – and that gives Maya enough time to inside cradle him! One two three.!
Maya celebrates, but Niebla Roja jump in shoulders, headscissors cradle one two three. Maya is the captain, so that's it.
Puma throws Cometa into the barricade, and Cometa stumbles on his knee into another superkick. Monito does not seem to know Maya is the captain.
Announcers say hello and preview the rest of the show. Leo walks off with the Universal title.
Anniversary Promo: Rush vs Terrible
CMLL Cartela: Sunday @ Arena Mexico – Mephisto, Felino, Mr. Niebla vs Shocker, Diamante Azul, Atlantis. No mention of the tag titles.
2: Rudos try to pull Cometa for more attacks. Stuka tries to pull him the other way, but Misterioso slaps him and throws him into the barricade. Cometa has lost his top, or the rudos have unzipped it all. Puma whip, clothesline. Snap mare, and Puma goes back to yanking the mask. Cometa reverses it, snap mares Puma, and goes for the mask, but the rudos rush in and kick him down. Cometa rolls out and May storms in, kicking Puma from behind angrily. Niebla Roja comes in a and punches and chops Maya. Whip, back elbow. Snap mare, dropkick to the head. Stuka in, but Niebla has his hands up and punches at the first shot. Crowd shots, and Misterioso is in and chopping Stuka when they return. Whip, quebradora by Stuka. Stuka and Misterio battle over a whip, and it's Misterioso who dropkick Stuka out. Misterio runs for a dive, Stuka drops down, Misterioso fakes him out and poses on his knees. Tag to Puma, but also a tag to Cometa. Cometa's fixed his top. Puma trips up Cometa with a kick. Whip, flapjack, kick to the head. Puma ask the crowd if they want another. Whip, flapjack, Cometa tries to flip off Puma, can't quite get it and lands on his knees, Puma is a clothesline, Cometa drops him with a quebradora. Cometa goes for the mask, and the rudos are on him again. Whip, Puma grabs Cometa for a double clothesline, Cometa ducks but so does Puma, técnicos pull the rudos out and chop them. Cometa off the ropes, handspring backflip headscissors sends Puma flipping to the ropes. Puma charges Cometa in the corner, Cometa moves, and sets Puma on top. Puma goes for the mask! Ripped up good this time. Swing kick knocks Puma off the ropes and to the floor safely. Come up top – tornillo into Puma. Niebla Roja runs right into the Sacrifica Maya. Stuka drops Misterioso, Monito sits on Misterioso, and Stuka adds the torpedo splash. Monito does his own running splash!
3: Puma whips Cometa to start the fall, tosses him up and throws him down in a powerbomb. One two Cometa kicks out. Tiger superkicks Cometa into the ropes, Cometa charges, and Puma chucks him with a low angle German suplex. One two NO. Double duck down, Puma lifts Cometa up and drops him in a double knee gutbuster. One two no. Puma charges Cometa, Cometa flips him to the apron, Cometa kicks him off the apron, slips to the apron, Asai – no, Puma pulls him off on his chin. Stuka and Misterioso with a lot of evasion until Misterioso chops Stuka into the corner, and then misses the charge to spear the post at high speed. Stuka up – deadman's plancha to the floor. Cometa, resting on the floor almost got smushed there. Maya planchas Niebla Roja. Off the ropes, Maya turns an armdrag into one of his own. High speed tope con giro into Niebla Roja and into the barricade! Puma in, but so is Cometa. Puma escapes a tilt-a-whirl, blocks a foul, blocks the mask pull, and chops Puma away. Corner whip, reversed, Cometa kicks Puma away and heads up. Top rope frontcracker- that's Puma's move! Casita! One two three. Oh!
Puma takes Cometa's mask, and says he's going to do it for real on September 14th. Puma demands silence for his king. Puma covers his head with his hoodie. Puma keeps pushing the youth vs experience. They're not that much different in age. Cometa takes Puma down and stomps on him while the técnicos keep the rest of the rudos out.

Notes: All of TRT accompany Terrible to the ring. Tanahashi has his title belt and plays so much air guitar. Okumura and Namajague walk out with him. Bucanero and Okumura stay as official seconds. Terrible hands his belt off before he gets to the ring, while Tanahashi wears his as part of the title match presentation and seems to leave it ringside. Ref is Babe Richard.
1: Let's look at the belt. Yep, same belt. They are really proud of that belt. Tanahashi traps Terrible in a chinlock quick. Terrible escapes to a wristlock, Tanahashi armdrags him away, then plays air guitar. I see that's your move. Lockup turns into a test of strength. Terrible wins and forces Tanahashi down, but then Tanahashi powers up. Terrible armdrags him away and puts on an elbowlock. Tanahashi pulls Terrible's hair and armdrags to get free. Tanahashi spins around posing. Lockup, Tanahashi backs Terrible into the ropes, clean break, no, Tanahashi chops him. Tanahashi requests Terrible hit him back, and he does. Back and forth until Tanahashi gets in an eye rake. I'm noticing a pattern! Tanahashi sneaks in a kick, and smashes Terrible into the buckle. Tanahashi stands on Terrible's shoulders in the corner to choke him, and also to air guitar. A little of both. Tanahashi backs off, Terrible gets to his feet, and Tanahashi chops him a bit. Terrible ask for more, then slaps Tanahashi in the face. Terrible chops him once more and slaps him back in the face. Corner whip, corner clothesline. Tanahashi taking his time. Corner whip, reversed, Tanahashi gets his feet up, Tanahashi out, Terrible swings and misses, Tanahashi hooks the arms for a dragon suplex, Terrible blocks, and Tanahashi German suplexes him instead. Tanahashi is so happy with himself.
2: Tanahashi chops Terrible into the ropes. Whip, back elbow. Tanahashi looks around, stomps, and plays air guitar with one foot on Terrible's chest. Tanahashi in on hurry. Scoop, slam, Tanahashi up to the middle rope, pose, senton con giro connects (!) one two NO. Terrible is in a bad way if he can't even move out of the way of that one. Tanahashi slaps Terrible in the face. Whip, head down too soon, Terrible kicks it, then clothesline Tanahashi down. Terrible picks up speed, another clothesline, a third – no, Tanahashi catches it and tries a short clothesline, Terrible ducks under that and hooks Tanahashi in the Dos Caras clutch one two three! Bucanero dives in the ring to hug Terrible, while Tanahashi is absolutely confused as to what just happened.
3: Terrible off the ropes, but Tanahashi trips him. Dropkick misses, and Terrible kicks him. Terrible kicks Tanahashi, and Tanahashi wriggles in pain. Corner whip, Tanahashi gets back elbow up, springboard plancha connects, but no pin. Tanahashi poses, and plays more air guitar. Too bad Terrible is up. Kick, knocks Tanahashi in the corner, but he drops down as Terrible charges and goes out. Tanahashi points to this head, then slowly climbs up. Terrible has to be hurt a while here. Tanahashi frog plancha to the floor! Both down. Replays. Tanahashi tries to climbs to the apron, but Terrible pulls him back by his pants ans smacks him into the barricade. Terrible back in, fired up. Tanahashi pulls himself up by the apron. Terrible waits for him to get to in position. Punch misses, and Tanahashi pulls Terrible down by the hair. Tanahashi up top, top rope fog splash plancha. 'rana, Tanahashi rolls thru, one two NO! Terrible up first, small package, one two NO. Going to need more than that. Terrible sets Tanahashi in the ropes and slaps him. Whip, Tanahashi back with a jumping forearm. Tanahashi covers one two NO. Tanahashi up first. Corner whip, Terrible charge in, Tanahashi jumps over, corner sunset flip one two reversed and Okumura grabs onto Tanahashi's arm, one two NO – the ref spots it! Tanahashi demands a three count, and Terrible inside cradles him one two NO. Tanahashi argues again. Terrible looks like one tired man. Replay shows Babe Richard wasn't counting three there no matter what. Chop fight is even, both scream at each other and starts slapping each other in the face. This goes on for a while. Terrible finally gets in a big shot, but misses the next, and Terrible drops him to his knee with one shot. Tanahashi charges Terrible, Terrible flips him out of the ring, Tanahashi holds onto the ropes and pulls himself back in, Terrible is unaware. Terrible turns around, charges, misses a clothesline, and Tanahashi lands the Sling Blade. Tanahashi points up, then climbs on to cover one two NO. Both slow up. Okumura looks tired on the outside. Corner whip by Tanahashi. Tanahashi waits a moment to charge in, and Terrible blows him up with a dropkick one two NO. Terrible kicks Tanahashi as he gets up in the corner. Corner whip, charge, clothesline sandwiches Tanahashi in. Corner whip other way, Tanahashi flips Terrible to the apron, slap fight while Terrible stands outside, it escalates to forearms to the face and both men wear each other out. Terrible finally just headbutts Tanahashi and climbs up, but Tanahashi climbs up with him – super armdrag! Both men down. Tanahashi crawls on top, one two NO. Tanahashi Michinoku Driver, one two NO. Scoop, slam, and Tanahashi signals this is it. Tanahashi jumps to the apron, climbs to the rope, frog splash – misses! Crash and burn, Terrible moving out of the way. Tanahashi struggles to his feet, where Terrible scoops him up – Schwein, one two three. Terrible wins!
Rey Bucanero dives back in again to congratulate Terrible, who is dead on the mat. Tanahashi is equally out. Terrible does get to his feet, and Bucanero carries him around. Terrible gets the belt around his waist. Just as he does, Rush walks out to start yelling at Terrible. He gets as far as the ropes, but Babe Richard cuts him off there. Rush is angry and spitting. Break.
Anniversary promo – the first one again.
Back live, Babe Richard has walked Rush halfway up the ramp, though he's still yelling and pointing at Terrible. Rush is sent to the back, while Bucanero carries Terrible around on his shoulder. Terrible thanks the fans, then goes to the floor to high five some of them.
Announcers recap the show and hype next week's Anniversary show. A history of the Universal title seems to be missing Lyger, though his name was mentioned in commentary.
