Match 1: Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Misterioso Jr. in a lightning match
Arena Coliseo, 08/19/2012

Winner: Guerrero Maya
Match Time: 5:31
Rating: okay
Notes: Entrances. VideoRola plays Misterioso's theme song all the time. This fact is only useful for people trying to record Las Luchas, and really not even then. Intros are going to be about a 1/3rd of this match, I see. Referee is Terror Chino.

Misterioso misses a dropkick right off the bat, or right off the bat of what we get. Maya misses a clothesline, Misterioso gets behind and gives Maya reverse powerslam one two NO. Misterioso misses a clothesline, Maya over the back armdrag. Misterioso starts going out and comes back in. Good call, Misterioso runs back into a flapjack and a kick to the chest. Misterioso does a fair bit of celebrating, and Maya makes him pay with a dropkick to the back. Tope nails Misterioso, surprises Amapola. Amapola is putting more effort into sounding excited than she did early on. Misterioso chops Maya loudly and gets up to the apron first. Maya tries to pull Misterioso off, Misterioso kicks Maya away, so Maya just sweeps Misteroso's legs. Misterioso grabs his head and backs up – Alexis baseball scoots into the picture – and Maya bowls Misterioso over with the tope con giro. Maya slams Misterioso inside, goes up, and misses a top rope splash. Misterioso rolls him over and covers one two NO. Misterioso gets into an argument with the ref. Whip, clothesline misses, Maya springboard inverted top misses too. Misterioso ties up the legs – no, small package, one two NO. Misterioso up first and slapping Maya into the corner. Corner whip, reversed, Misterioso goes in chest first and bounces back, Maya nails him with the double knee to the back, then lands his third dive of the match - a springboard inverted tope, Maya coming down mostly on his feet but falling on the floor. JCR just casually mentioned Black Terry as the first Guerrero Maya; I thought they were still playing that as a secret. Both back in, Maya clothesline blocked and turned into the Gori Special. One two NO. Misterioso can't believe he counted only two, argues, and Maya rolls him up for three. Crowd is genuinely surprised.

Match 2: Diamante, Diamante Azul ©, Valiente vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Psicosis ©
Arena Coliseo, 08/19/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: tecnicos
Match Time: 12:07
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Tigre Hispano. Announcers continually refer to Azul as the DF champion, for what it's worth. No sign of the belt.

1: Azul and Olímpico start on the mat. Valiente and Diamante have a discussion on the apron about something going on in the crowd, I think. Azul specializes in shoulderblocks. Valiente and Psicosis are next. They're even, Psicosis bails, Valiente chases him, and Kraneo attacks him from behind to start the rudo advantage. Announcers mention Nitro's injury earlier. Rudos knocks around the técnicos. Corner charges for Azul set up Psicosis' senton.

2: Olímpico kicks, punches, and clotheslines Diamante Plata. Kraneo belly to belly on Plata for two. Psicosis dropkicks Plata out. Valiente takes a triple boot and a triple snap kick. Azul rallies enough to whip Olímpico into the corner, but Kraneo rushes in to clothesline him. Corner charges for Azul, whipped out into a Kraneo spinebuster. Mije second rope flying headbutt to the midsection to top it off. No pin. Blanco in and kicked right back out. Action is really slow, and the crowd shots are more exciting. Rudos stomp Valiente together a bit, but stop before they might be disqualified. They've much more casual about coming and going this week. Mije runs the ropes twice before Kraneo lifts him and drops him for the splash, which gives Valiente enough time to get his feet up. Valiente celebrate but leaves, while Blanco waits for his cue. Rudos fail and double clothesline Psicosis out, Azul sentons him, and other técnicos beat the other rudos. Valiente's finish looks really good.

3: Plata makes Olímpico hit the ropes seven times before finally armdragging. I would be sucking wind for ever, but Olímpico gets up and takes a quebradora before rolling out. Plata impressive powerslams Kraneo for two, then gets in his five bounce armdrag. Kraneo begs off on the floor. Olímpico, perhaps exhausted, falls asleep and forgets to pull Azul down by his mask when he hits the ropes, so Psicosis just shoves Azul back into the ropes to give Olímpico another shot. Azul superkick for Olímpico, big hipblock takedown on Psicosis, and a press slam sends Psicosis out. Kraneo knocks Azul out from behind. Kraneo gets him with a flying armdrag and a springboard plancha, but Kraneo kicks out. Valiente dropkicks Kraneo in the knee, Kraneo rolls out, and Valiente nails him with a high speed tope to the midsection. Plata dropkicks Olímpico off the apron and topes him, though he gets a lot of the ropes on the way out. Captains left in, both miss charges, Azul kicks Psicosis off when he tries the layout chestbreaker, Psicosis gets caught sliding thru Azul's legs, and Azul finishes him with the deadlift German suplex for the finish.

Match 3: Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, La Sombra © vs Felino, Negro Casas ©, Rey Escorpión
Arena Coliseo, 08/19/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:55
Rating: ok
Notes: Rey Escorpion has his Kratos gear, perhaps to remind us of a time where he didn't disappear off the map. Zach is with the rudos. Referee is Maya.

1: Angel de Oro and Rey Escorpion are quickly into the usual back and forth for zero count bit. Oro grabs Escorpion's leg for the trip, and just turns it over and puts on a half crab instead! That's a smart way to twist a usual bit. Negro walks in, tells Angel de Oro something and kicks him. Maybe he told Angel de Oro he was going to kick him? Sombra argues with Maya about Casas coming in, and Oro yells at Negro. Negro went straight back to the apron, not much they can do. Oro tries again, and Negro kicks him again. Everyone yells at each other some more. Amapola takes Rey Escorpion's side in the problems with Ultimo Guerrero, pointing out all the friends UG had that are no longer his friends. The director shows us a fan in an Angel de Oro mask, missing the rudos jumping the técnicos to start the beatdown. Rudos slap and kick around the técnicos. Escorpion helpfully holds Oro on his knees for a Nero Kick. Negro stands over Oro, taunts him, and puts on an armbar. Casas works over the arm while bringing Oro over to get more shots form the other rudos. Escorpion sends Oro out after a flapjack and a kick. Mascara is kicked in the face. Negro gets bored and attacks Oro on the outside while the others take care of Sombra. They want to do a double pin spot, but Maya wont allow it, so Felino leaves and Escorpion halfway holds Sombra down in a bad looking spot. Zacarias randomly taunts La Mascara. He's wearing blue, Zacarias doesn't like people wearing that color.

2: Negro holds Angel de Oro down on the mat, and mostly ignores it when the técnicos walk in to break it up. Crowd chants for Negro as he holds Oro in an anklelock and stops him from making a tag. Mascara starts the comeback on a corner charge, and everyone knocks out everyone else until it comes down to Oro and Negro chopping. Negro wins via shot to the midsection, snap mares Oro, climbs to the top rope for no reason and takes a dropkick out. Felino shoves Oro out, but the other two técnicos beat the other two rudos.

Angel de Oro beats up Negro in between falls, including giving him his own DDT on the ramp.

3: Zacarias insists on fighting La Mascara. Máscara holds him off and tries to calm him down, but but then leads him into a Felino kicks and kicks him down himself. Headscissors sends Felino out. Máscara removes his shirt before headscissoring and armdragging Escorpion out. Negro comes in, but runs off rather than face Angel de Oro. Felino out speeds Sombra, Sombra springboard headscissors him out anyway. Escorpion and Sombra chop fight, and Sombra springboard reverse spin headscissors him out too. Negro in, and Angel de Oro in again. Negro angrily rants to the crowd, but doesn't leave. Chop fight, Angel de Oro seeing the heel kick coming and moving. Trip, flipping run, Negro casadora armdrag! Negro is so happy, Angel de Oro is stunned. Negro goes to the well once too often an takes a faceslam for two. Angel de Oro drop toe hold, casita - no, Escorpion breaks it up with a kick. Mascara back in, Escorpion misses a charge and Sombra trips him out for an Asai moonsault, while Máscara dropkicks Felino out the other side and topes him. Angel and Negro in. Crowd loud for Negro. Double clothesline, neither goes down, both miss clotheslines, Negro dropkick to the knee, casita, shoves off, angel de Oro casadora, mecedora – and Negro gives!

Angel de Oro demands a title match. Negro refuses while getting bleeped, which causes them to fight some more. Negro backs out of the fight and walks out with his head held high.
