Match 1: Fabi Apache, Fenix, Octagoncito, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Dark Dragon, Mini Charly Manson, Sexy Star, Yuriko
Arena Ciudad de Mexico, 08/05/2012
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 12:08
Rating: had it's moments.
Notes: Even Dark Dragon has an entrance video (and new music?) so someone's been working hard. He's got a gold chainmail outfit on. The entrance videos are not highlights, just personalized logos and some stock footage, but it's still much improved over the generic background. Mini Charly is totally white. Sexi doesn't have as an elaborate outfit as previous years, but her purple gear looks very elegant. She's got her title belt. Fenix wears a shimmering gold jacket that doesn't quite fit him. Or maybe that's style? Octagoncito is in azteca warrior gear. The announcers are taking turns doing ring announcements. Jesus is the best, and his microphone sounds the best too. Pimpinela gets last entrance, has fellow dancers, is very orange. Tropicasas is referee. This building looks huge.
Arturo Rivera is audible for the first time. His voice is not a lot better than last year. The crowd is loud when they react. The ambient sound seems quieter than usual. Pimpinela and Yuriko exchange trips for zero, and then switch to chest slaps. Pimpi headscissors Yuriko out then celebrates. Women in, Fabi dropkicking Mari right away. Whip, reversed, Sexi misses a clothesline, Fabi headscissors her. Sexi out, Fabi bounces off the ropes, and Dark Dragon surprises her with a Sling Blade. Dark Dragon misses his own clothesline, and Fabi gets him with a flipping armdrag. Fabi rolls and poses in the center of the ring. Tags to the minis. Crowd does not react to Mini Charly at all. Chest slap fight,, Octagoncito over, flipping over, springboard headscissors sends Octagoncito flipping. Charly yells at the crowd. Kick to Octagoncito, knees, forearms to the face. Corner whip, Charly charges in, Octagon kips up and out, then handsprings a few more times. Spinning headscissors into an armdrag sends Mini Charly out. Dragon boots Octagoncito in the head to stop him. Corner whip, Dragon charges in, Octagoncito moves, Dragon spears the post. Octagoncito up top, springboard – oh no, he just fell off, falling to the floor. Dragon had no shot at catching him. Octagoncito never got his footing and landed tail bone first. Octagoncito gets right up and gets slapped down by Dragon, while Yuriko and Fenix just start going in the ring. Yuriko dropkick Fenix, takes a look over towards Octagoncito, then Sexi helps whips Fenix. Fenix slides out past Dark Dragon, casadora Dragon, and Dragon wheelbarrows him into the apron. Good bit, not a lot of reaction. Both with the crowd and the other wrestlers, since the rudas have done something with Fabi and are all presently mugging Pimpinela. Sexi backdrops Pimpi, Yuriko holds Pimpi's legs up, then stops so Mini Charly can land his springboard splash, then holds the legs apart again for Dark Dragon's top rope double stomp. Yuriko seems off. Fabi whipped into the corner for Charly kicks, Yuriko screaming slap, Dark dragon thigh kick and a Sexi Star second rope sit. Butt to the face spot is missed by the camera. She does that ever match, they probably should know. Camera was distracted by the rudos working over Octagon already. Fireman's carry into a gutbuster there. Fenix brought back in, but just kicked around out. Rudos all go after Pimpinela , who tries to fight back and get help from the crowd. Corner whip, Pimpi stops short, Dark Dragon runs in extremely hard face first to Pimpi's butt. Dark Dragon does everything at one speed. Fenix up to top rope, and carefully off for a headscissors on Yuriko, who nearly takes out Dark Dragon while rolling out. Octagoncito springboard dropkicks Dragon, and Pimpi armdrags Mini Charly out. Everyone regroups to their corners. Sexi and Fabi are left. Sexi tries slapping Fenix in the chest, which does not work, then slaps him in the face, which does seems to. Fenix swings, misses, and Sexi kicks him. Slap to the back of the head. Corner whip, reversed, and Fenix takes off Sexi Star's face with a running boot to the face, holy crap. That could not have been the plan, that's crazy. Sexi was trying to shield but Fenix was a bit to quick. Mini Charly in, but Fenix crushes him with a powerslam into the corner. Dragon in, Fenix runs into a toss, and flips over into a 'rana nicely. Fenix armdrag, top rope double knee to the head. Fenix is killing everyone tonight. Yuriko breaks it up with an ax kick. Yuriko Michinoku Driver one two Octagoncito breaks it up and slaps Yuriko. Octagoncito airplane spin, up top, tornillo hits Yuriko knees to chest. This is a brutal match. Sexi Star takes out Octagoncito with a face first powerbomb, but Pimpi pulls her off the pin by her hair. Pimpi drop toe hold, locks Sexi up on the mat, and lifts her into a Reinera. Mini Charly is in far too fast to break it up, but they're going fast. Mini Charly Manson Northern lights suplex, Fabi breaks up the pin. Fabi Devil's Wings, Dragon breaks it up, and then yanks Fabi around by her hair. Fabi fights back with kicks, but Dark Dragon grabs one, and hooks her oddly for one is essentially a sit down powerbomb. Pimpi dances around before breaking it with a shot to the Dragon's eyes. Dragon clothesline misses, and Pimpi jumps on him for a kiss. Dragon bails. Charly in, Pimpi grabs his hand and walks the ropes into a tope con giro that glides over Dragon. Oh well. Charly superkicks Octagoncito into the corner, Sexi charges, Octagon flips her to the apron, Octagoncito kicks Charly away, Sexi climbs up top and planchas the two on the outside. Octagoncito on, headscissors sends Charly out, spins to the apron, slowly sets up and lands his Asai tornillo the floor without incident. Fenix fires up the crowd form the apron; Fenix springboard 360 backpress onto the pile Fabi readies for her own dive, but Yuriko missile dropkicks her. Yuriko screams again, then slams Fabi. Yuriko yells, climbs to top rope, and quickly misses a senton con giro. Yuriko gets back up before Fabi can, but Fabi still pulls her in the rolling reverse armscissors. Yuriko gives. That's the win.
Antonio Pena video. This might be the same one they show every year.
Joaquin Roldan, with a covered easel, talks about the AAA Hall of Fame. Perro Aguayo is announced as the newest member. Short highlight video of Perro Aguayo walking to the ring before matches. Dr. Alfonso Morales ring announcements are the soundtrack. Back live, Perro looks to be in good shape, more lively than I'm used to seeing him. Joaquin calls Perro a legend, asks for applause, and presents him with the Hall of Fame plaque. He also pulls of the cloth to reveal a larger plaque, which goes where ever the AAA Hall of Fame is. Perro Aguayo is very excited about all of this. This is interrupted by los Dinamitas music, which Perro immediately recognizes. Mascara Año 2000 (w/Argos), a bit lost in the shadow, reminds us Perro took his mask, and challenges for a hair vs hair match. Perro laughs and declines. Mascara says tonight his son will take Wagner's mask, and he'll get Perros hair yet. Consejo leave. Thanks for showing up, Argos. Fans chant for Perro. Fireworks!
Match 2: Electroshock & LA Park vs Jeff Jarrett & Kurt Angle in a second's hair match
Arena Ciudad de Mexico, 08/05/2012
Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 17:50
Rating: not good
Notes: team TNA in first. Jeff enters with Karen and Dorian (guitar holder.) Tortillos into the crowd, very innovative. They have Kurt's TNA video but not Jeff's. Kurt's TNA video is impressive, maybe that's why. Kurt's entrance includes giant billing smoke. Electroshock has a white cape. LA Park's video is simple but great. Joaquin is with him. They hug. Bad move. Park has a chair. Park is wearing a Predator mask. I wonder if Electroshock tipped him off as to where to get one. Park is also wearing a tight outfit which isn't very complementary to his figure. Ref is Piero, wearing a shirt with an unsubtle advertisement on it.
Electroshock and Kurt Angle go face to face. The dream match we've been waiting for years! Wait, what? Electroshock does a slow look back and forth to milk whatever reaction he can. They back away, then Electroshock offers a handshake. Kurt declines. Lockup, Angle waistlock, takedown, front facelock, Electroshock tries to roll out, eventually can, and puts on a hammerlock. Angle looks and puts on his own hammerlock. Electroshock stomps his foot and puts on a headlock. I think Leo has talked for a minute without taking a breath. If you do, someone else talks, and you can't. Crowd is really quiet, Karen is very loud. Angle waistlock, Electro elbows out, off the ropes, and into an Angle over head belly to belly suplex. Kurt celebrates. Electroshock dropkicks Kurt out, Jarrett clotheslines Electroshock from behind. Stomps, shot to Park, and some stomps. Head into the buckle, head into ad different buckle. Jarret punches Electroshock near Kurt. Jeff and Kurt give each other a hard look. Hmm. Whip, Electroshock back with a wheel kick. Karen and Jeff bail, and Parka chases Jeff back into the ring. Jesus has Wikipedia'd the list of foreigners to work AAA shows. Remember that time Jack Evans worked in AAA! Seems so long ago. This does set up Arturo to talk about Konnan vs Jake Roberts for a couple seconds. Park's outfit doesn’t look as bad now that he's wrestling. Corner whip, revers, park kips up and out, Jarrett kicks, Park catches the boot, Angle runs in from behind and German supelxes Park. Kurt very happy with himself. Angle looks around while the crowd chants things at him. Kurt vertical suplex one two NO. Kurt punches Park. Corner whip, charge in, Park not home, Kurt hits the corner. Park charges in with a shoulderblock once, twice, struts away, charges a third time, and runs into a boot that time. Kurt still doesn't move, so Park charges in a fourth time to get hit. New idea? Kurt charge out into a Park powerslam one two NO. Si Se Puede chant. Park off the ropes, clothesline locked, Angle spins Park around and tries to suplexes him, Park blocks, Jarrett hits Park in the back and Angle clotheslines him. Electroshock runs in and slaps Jarrett into stepping carefully thru the ropes, and Angle clotheslines Electroshock. Angle slowly kicks and stomps Electroshock, but the real action is going on outside with the Jarrett stomping Park. Joaquin tries to get involved and shoves his son, but Karen yells enough to cause Joaquin to go away. Jeff returns to the ring to suplex Electroshock. Dorian gets shot in from the outside. They look better this week! Choke on the ropes by Jarret. Off the ropes, flying sit. Electroshock rolls out, which greatly confuses Kurt. Kurt goes out to bring him back in while brawls with Park, throwing him over the barricade. Kurt brings Electroshock in and punches him in the head a lot. Camera sticks with that, and not whatever is going on with Jeff and Park. The camera picking leaves a lot to be desired. Electroshock ops back up, and Kurt just holds him in a chinlock while whatever else is going on happens. Camera sticks with the chinlock. Dorian comes in to kick Electroshock a bit while Piero is busy with Park. Kurt keeps the chinlock on for a while. Piero checks Electroshock. One arm down. Camera goes away, so we never see the rest of the arm drops. Crowd does start to get loud. Electroshock fires up, but Kurt rakes him in the eyes. Electroshock reaches for the tag, but Jeff Jarret back suplexes him. Park comes in, but Jeff Jarrett punches and kicks him out.
Ten minutes. Electroshock rolls out again – does he not realize he's supposed to be a face in peril? - but we're all distracted by Piero grabbing Karen by the hair. Karen's up on the apron for some reason, and Piero's pulling her around for some reason. Whatever this is about, the crowd approves of his very loudly. Jeff brings electroshock back in, then grabs Piero. We're not shown how that ends. Jeff stomps Piero slow as Kurt distracts Piero. Park comes into ague, and Jarret punches him and throws him out again. Dorian comes back in the ring and gives Electroshock kicks to the chest. Piero and Karen get into a argument again. Joaquin walks in the ring and argues with Pompin. Hey, do we have a match going on? I don't know. Kurt goes back to punching Electroshock. Kurt kicks and punches Electroshock. Someone must've thrown a drink on Karen, but the camera misses it. Dorian comes back in again, as does Park, this is match is not quite working for him. Rudos take care of Park while more people throw garbage at Karen. Jeff works over Park with a chair. Dorian leaves the ring and argues with his dead. Kurt works over Electroshock again. Dorian is leaving? Announcers have no idea. Oh, Joaquin is slowly chasing him. I know from reading the recap after that Piero ejected Dorian, but it's not at all evident from watching it. The Roldans run into Abyss going the other way, and that backs down Joaquin. Meanwhile, Kurt is still choking Electroshock. More garbage throwing; on the edges of the screen, Karen points security at whoever threw the original beverage. That backfires, and soon the Jarretts and the fans are throwing items back and forth (again, not focused on.) Kurt has Electroshock in the anklelock for no particular reaction. Park is over over with the Jarretts, and soon chasing Karen around. Jeff sneaks in a clothesline, mostly missed by the camera, and Karen gets in a few stomps. Kurt, probably bored, throws Electroshock out. Abyss gets in a few more punches. Park tries to break it up and gets punched some more. Karen says a very not nice phrase as she passes by a camera. Electroshock thrown back in. Crowd railing. Whip, double clothesline, both cover each other, two count. Why is Kurt as hurt as Electroshock when Electroshock has been worked over for about ten minutes now? Both slowly crawl for tags. Tag to Jarrett. Tag to Park. No reaction. Crowd goes crazy when Park actually shoulders blocks Jarrett and clotheslines him. Park ducks an Angle clothesline and shoulderblocks him. Abyss clothesline misses, shoulderblocks doesn’t quite work there. Park stumbles back, and Abyss nails him with a clothesline. Not sure why they bothered with distracting the ref when Abyss is just wandering around here. Abyss splash misses, Park dropkicks him out and topes him. Roldans get back in the ring for no reason except it's time to do their spot. Dorian checks on Jeff, then walks into the worse clothesline in recorded history from Joaquin. This show has already run the gamut of emotions, just two matches in. Dorian chases Joaquin away, and they calmly walk around outside. Dorian just takes a knee and Joaquin stops. Back inside, Park blocks Jeff's punches and punches him three times. Piero grabs Park for no good reason, except it sets up Jarrett accidentally landing a plancha on Piero. You really need to do a ref bump when people are coming in the ring willy nilly? I just wrote willy nilly. This match is hurting me. Park small packages Jarrett, but no ref, so I guess you do no need to do it. Piero counts one after the fact. Park checks on him. Abyss back in, chokeslams on Park. Electroshock up on the apron and trying to get the crowd into it. He's doing better job then the rudos did. Abyss chokes him, but Electroshock turns it into a cutter. Camera half misses a short of Electroshock armdragging out of the Olympic Slam. Cutter, one two three, Park making sure to help cover. Crowd pops big for the win.
Tecnicos celebrate. Dorian walks out. Joaquin thanks Electroshock and La Park. Konnan walks Dorian back, though Dorian stays on the ramp while Konnan yells at Joaquin. Konnan offers his hair instead. Dorian walks back to the ring, and Konnan pulls him over for a word. Dorian goes in, and Jeff hugs him and tells him he won't them give up his hair. Joaquin says associated with those guys got Dorian to lose his hair, and she should reconsider. Dorian asks out of it. LA Park chants for Dorian to get his hair cut. Dorian apologizes to everyone. Jarrett try to get him to stop. Dorian bends over for his hair, but Joaquin pulls him up. Joaquin says he just wanted his son back, and he's going to cut his hair instead of his son. Both Park and Electroshock go nuts. Park gets the microphone demand Joaquin change his mind. Joaquin shoves him away a little bit. Dorian raises his father's arm, then short clotheslines him. Announcers are shocked. Rudos attack the técnicos again. Rudos shave the head of a guy who already shaved a big stripe thru the center of his head (so he was getting the head shaved anyway), how cruel. Tecnicos don't seem to make a great effort to come back, nor should they. Joaquin deserves this one. Marisela slightly reacts. Dorian says Joaquin is the real loser and he doesn't apologize. Rudos beat up the tecnicos some more. Jarrett getting soaked with all sorts of garbage is shown for about 2 seconds before break.
TripleMania reviews video again. Jesus thanks us for watching and recaps the show. Jesus promotes the relevos suicidas (with a clear shot of the final two), and they show a clip of the atomicos so there we go. That's it.
Bonus!

Match Time: 17:28

Notes: Tirantes (original!) is the ref. Seconds are Mascara Año 2000, Octagon and Mascara Sagrada, though I'm not sure which técnico goes with which second.
Perro leaves the ring at the start, then is taunted into coming back, then Cien goes to the apron and avoids punches form Perro for a while. Konnan waits on the apron, possibly for the tag. Cien comes in, then bails again, so Konnan just come in to take a break. Konnan warms up, offers a handshake, can't get it. First action is nearly at two minutes in. Chain wrestling gets nowhere. Konnan throws a punch at Cien. So many Pepsi adds in this arena. That's a big money sponsor. Dinamitas discuss, while Perro small packages Konnan for a two count. Konnan with a headlock into a spin into a dropkick to the knee. Figure four. Konnan applies it the american way. Perro's not giving, so Konnan lets go. Looks like Sagrada in with Perro. Perro limps, but Konnan gives him space. Perro uses it to clothesline Konnan, double stomp, one two NO. Konnan grabs Perro by the hair and kicks him in the leg. Quick punches to the head, leg kick, half crab. Perro pulls at Konnan's trunks, instead of just grabbing the nearby ropes. Konnan lets go, and Perro starts punching him. Konnan drops to his knee and fights back with punches of his own, but Perro drops Konnan with a big punch. Cien is still on the apron. Whip, rolling clothesline by Konnan. Konnan with a trio of quick leg kicks to a bent over Perro's head, and a spinning forearm to knock Perro down. Perro gets up and stats headbutting. Dropkick sends Konnan out. Perro runs, and topes Konnan. Mascara runs over and stomps Perro. Cien runs interference, while Octagon just stands and complaints. Máscara rolls Perro back in, and Cien hits him with a running kick. Stomps, elbow drop, double stomp. Double stomp, another double stop, elbow drop, and a front bridging pin one two three. Perro is eliminated.
Konnan in and grabbing Cien by his hair, but Cien comes back with punches. Corner whip, no, Konnan just shoves down Cien. Konnan turns his back, and Cien gives him a running kick to the back. Corner whip, Konnan kips up, and jumps on Cien's kicks as he comes in. This slowly turns in to a cradle, but the camera is mostly too busy showing Perro to see it. Back in time to see Konnan get the last couple counts on a bridge (though it looked like he had his own shoulders down too.)
Tirantes signals for Cien vs Perro. They did explain the rules, I just didn't get the explanation. Cien relaxes on the mat as Perro comes back in. Cien tries to pull him up before Perro can get to him, but Perro slaps him back and clotheslines him in the side of the head. Double stomp by Perro. Perro crucifix cradle one two NO. Perro dropkick Cien and headbutt drops him in the chest, one two NO. Perro scoops up Cien on his shoulders, drops him to the side, senton one two NO. Perro drops Cien near the corner, double stomps him, and goes up again. Crowd not high on this idea. Perro takes his time, looking around, and misses the senton con giro. Cien drops an elbow drops a second elbow, double stomp, and then just stops. Maybe cover? No, gaze at the crowd, I guess you can do that. Grounded crucifix, one two no. Cien small package, one two NO. Cien tirabuzón cradle one two NO. Crowd chanting Perro for a moment. Whip, Cien puts his head down, and Perro dropkick him in the head. Perro runs for a dive, slows down near the ropes, and does a silla onto Cien. Perro celebrates, walking right over next to Mascara, who smashes a bottle on his head. I don't know how Tirantes didn't see that, but he did appear to be looking at Cien. Sagrada checks on Perro. Mascara goes in the ring, still holding the broken top, while Tirantes counts out Perro. Tecnicos (conscious ones) yell at Perro from outside the ring. Tirantes finishes the count.
Plenty of garbage thrown in. Perro is bleeding, and the announcers are calling for medical help. Konnan goes in the ring to confront Máscara, who still has the bottle tope. Crowd wants Konnan to do something, but Konnan just points out the evidence to Tirantes. Replay. Shot of Perro bleeding. Match resumes with Konnan kicking around Cien Caras. Punch to the face. Plentyh of angry punches to the head. Mascara still has the bottle top. Cien and Konnan roll on the mat throwing punches, Cien ending up on top and throwing punches. Lots of shots of Mascara with the bottle. Konnan and Cien roll right out of the ring, still fighting, which puts them in closer range for the drinks which are occasionally being thrown. Mascara observes, and I guess motions like he might use the pointy end to stab someone. Cien gives and tries to whip Konnan, but Konnan reverses it and send him into the post. Medics still hasn't arrived, Sagrada is just holing up Perro at ringside. Konnan comes back on, talks to Octagon, and waits for Cien. Konnan knocks down Cien with a punch as he comes in, scrapes his face with the bottom of his boot. Neck vice. Cien slip out, ties up one of Konnan's legs, and elbows him in the chest repeatedly, though slowly. Crowd chanting for Konnan. Armbar, but Konnan breaks free with a huge punch. Konnan smashes Cien in the top turnbuckle immediately, then goes back out to send him into the post again. Perro is finally stretched to the back, with blood streaming down from his face to his chest. Meanwhile, Cien drunkenly stumbles around ringside. Máscara directs him back in, but Konnan just goes after him with more punches. Konnan bites at Cien's forehead, so he must be bleeding. Konnan knocks Cien down with a punch, but Cien fights back with leg kicks from the mat, Konnan falls to the mat, and Cien jumps on his back. Elbow drop to the back. Both up, Konnan cradle suplex one two NO. Konnan German suplex. Good shot of cien's bloody head. Konnan covers, one two NO. Tirantes checks Cien's cut, maybe thinking about stomping it. Meanwhile, something happens to Konnan, and Mascara comes in to clothesline Tirantes in the back too. Máscara stomps Konnan. Octagon comes in to complain, but the rudos kick him even as they clothesline Konnan. Octagon stomped right out of the ring. Rudos stomp Tirantes again. Mascara sets up Konnan and Cien lands a middle rope splash. Mascara helps up Tirantes, while Cien fouls Konnan. One more elbow drop, and Cien sits on top. Tirantes counts one two three.
That’s it.
