Match 1: Ephesto vs Stuka Jr. in a lightning match
Arena Mexico, 05/25/2012

Winner: Ephesto
Match Time: 8:30 seen
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Babe Richard.

They don't get much accomplished in the first two minutes. Their mat work isn't much (and there's a clip early.) Battling chinlocks is not a way to go thru life. Stuka runs into a powerbomb for a two count, then slides out on Ephesto and takes the usual tope. Stuka's making all kinds of tactical mistakes here. Ephesto comes in, and watches as Stuka starts to climb up. Ephesto cuts him off with slaps and climbs up with him. Stuka jabs him sunset flip over to the mat, and then pulls Ephesto off for the powerbomb for two. Stuka elbow drops Ephesto, spinebusters him in position, climbs up, looks at the crowd – and senton con giro?? - misses. I know he was missing, but I don’t know why he wouldn't do his move (besides that he was missing.) Ephesto crawls on top twice, only has two counts to show for it. Whip, Stuka flipping run, quebradora con giro for two. Stuka charges Ephesto, Ephesto shoulderbreaker! One two NO! Huh. Ephesto covers again to make sure, but it's still two. Ephesto small package, two. Ephesto chops Stuka in the corner, corner whip, charge, Stuka moves, Ephesto takes a slow knee bump out, Stuka deadman's plancha to the floor. Replay of that. Stuka makes it in first and celebrates, then chops Ephesto as he climbs up in the corner. They both climb up, Stuka superplex, one two NO. Stuka small package one two NO. 90 seconds again. Stuka tries another cradle, only gets two, then argues the count. Got a finish. Ephesto up and running into a spinebuster, but pulling Stuka into the Ephesto roll, one two three. QUICK to the break.

CMLL Cartela: Diamante Azul vs Ultimo Guerrero on Sunday.

Match 2: Aereo, Astral, Eléctrico © vs Mercurio, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Olímpico ©
Arena Mexico, 05/25/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:44
Rating: good
Notes: Mercurio has an entrance video and Aereo does not. They started the same time. I dunno, just observing. Referee is Pompin.

1: Olímpico dominates Aereo, but the técnicos rolls up the rudo when he's goofing up posing for photos while applying holds. Eléctrico tags in and does well against the rudo, but gets put down with a pumphandle slam. Mercurio tags in for the rudos, and gets flipped good by a dropkick to the knee. Astral and Mercurio exchange armdrags. Mercurio times a superkick with an Astral kip up, then tags in Nitro to get everyone involved. Astral armdrags Nitro out, but gets kicked going thru the ropes by Mercurio. Mercurio celebrates while Olímpico cuts off Aereo. Big faceslam, and a dropkick sends the técnico out. Eléctrico misses a dropkick coming in, and rudos set him up for the Pequeño Nitro frontcracker. He holds on, and Mercurio tacks on a huge springboard double stomp to poor Electrico's back.

2: Eléctrico takes a springboard legdrop/backbreaker combo. Mercurio is in a springboarding mood. Astral thinks he's got Olimpcio outsmarted with a casadora , but Olímpico just holds him up so Nitro can springboard on to the tecnico's back and ride him to the ground. Nitro & Mercurio give Aereo a double death valley toss. Rudos are in some mood, and it's not good for the técnicos. Eléctrico thinks he's making a comeback, but gets pulled down by the rudo on the outside. They corner whip him back the other way, and he turns a backdrop into a headscissors on Mercurio. Olímpico manages to kick Eléctrico out, but the other two técnicos take care of things. Astral problems with the spinning armdrag he uses into his finish, but still gets to the submission.

3: Eléctrico turns a tilt-a-whirl into a big running powerbomb. Olímpico gets up, staggers around grabbing the back of his head, and falls down again before rolling out. Tricky headscissors send Nitro out. Eléctrico gets booed for no reason. Astral looks very fast in with Mercurio, sends him out after one armdrag, flip off the apron to the floor, and takes him out with a headscissors. Aereo is next, working a lot with Olímpico. Mercurio ends up dropkicking him out, only to take a tornillo armdrag from Astral and be slid out. Eléctrico Asai moonsaults on to him. Nitro tips up Astral on the apron and dropkicks him off. Aereo quebradoras him and grabs at the mask dimly. Nitro battles to keep the mask on, then gives up to foul Aereo. Ref turns to see both men down, teasing raising Aereo's arm, then gives Nitro the win. Well, Aereo did pull of his mask first.

Replay shows Aereo finished pulling the mask off as he was fouled, but I still say Nitro was in the right here. Shouldn't have messed with his mask!

CMLL Caretela: Tuesday, Yujiro vs Rush for the CMLL LH title.

Father's Day promo.

Match 3: Black Warrior ©, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Kráneo, Psicosis, Rey Escorpion ©
Arena Mexico, 05/25/2012

  1. rudos

  2. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 7:56
Rating: good for what it was
Notes: Guerrero Maya always has his title belt because he's great. Mije is with Kraneo. Monito joined the técnicos at some point. Rey Escorpion comes thru the crowd again, though Warrior is ready for him and takes him down for punches. Referee is Maya.

1: Rudos still get the better of the fight quickly. Escorpion pulls the UG move of slapping Warrior around with his kilt. Stomps and slams. Ugly quebrada is lower angle than usual, and only for one. Springboard dropkick looks much better. Warrior goes out, and Escorpion catapults him into the post. Psicosis get Delta with the Atlantida slam, and Maya carefully doesn't break it up the submission and gets beat instead.

Kraneo grabs Monito in the center of the ring, and lays him for the Mije toss too. Mije kicks Monito around, how mean.

2: Warrior still down on the floor. He only gets to his feet when Escorpion want to choke him. Kraneo helps hold Warrior's on the barricade, though it's actually the door part off the barricade and Warrior's accidentally kicked thru. Escorpion switches to violently slamming Warrior's head into the barricade. That looked harsh. Warrior brought back in and booted. Maya cheap kicked around. Delta in and clotheslined. Psicosis tosses Delta to Kraneo , Delta turns it into a 'rana, Psicosis tries to break it up, Maya cradles him, Escorpion breaks it both up. Kraneo and Delta left in, Delta kicks off Kraneo to jump to the apron, Kraneo tags in Psicosis, Delta springboard planchas him, Kraneo tries to break it up, Maya flying sunset flips him, and Escorpion again has to break up both pins himself. Warrior has just pulled himself to the apron, but is in rough shape. Escorpion does the Warrior dance. Psicosis spinning faceslam, elbow drop for Maya. Whip, dropkick to the knee. Psicosis misses a lazy clothesline, Maya gets in his spinning armdrag, and a new block spot to set up a spinning kick to the head. Escorpion breaks up the pin again, but Warrior rushes in to face him. Warrior yells, Escorpion clothesline him. Sunset flip, Warrior rolls thru and kicks him, and Kraneo breaks it up. Slap fight, Escorpion wins with a kick to the midsection and a slap to the back. Sunset flip, Warrior reverses, an reverses again to send Escorpion into a Psicosis dropkick. Trip, 619 on Psicosis, and a tope con giro off the apron on Escorpion. Delta springboard headscissors Psicosis out, Kraneo flips Kraneo to the apron, Delta swing kicks back, then moonsaults out onto Psicosis. Maya springboard dropkick Kraneo out and starts to head up. Mije grabs Maya's legs, Maya shakes him off, but steps down to confront him. Maya grabs Mije by his head and pinwheels tosses him across the ring! Dropkick for Kraneo to knock him back off the apron, and a huge tope con giro, depositing Maya in the front row! Warrior and Escorpion back in one more time. Warrior ducks under a clothesline, DDT, one two NO. Warrior grounded crucifix, one two no. Warrior small package one two NO. Escorpion low blow kick blocked, Escorpion clothesline misses, Warrior foul kick NOT blocked. That's seen for a DQ.

Black Warrior talks about knowing both schools, and stands attacking scorpion again. They go the outside, and Warrior throws Escorpion hard into the barricade before going back into celebrate.
