Notes: Titan has very rudo-ish music. Referee is Bestia Negra.

Titan gets Puma off the opening sequence with an armdrag, but keeps it on the mat for a bit longer. Another armdrag sends Puma to the ropes. Another back and forth sequence, another armdrag, Puma slides out, and Titan is quick out with a tope. It looks bad for Puma once again. Replay of the dive. Titan makes it back in first. Running the ropes counters for a while, Titan hands walk – and Puma dropkicks him in the midsection! They've figured out the counter, oh no. Big chop in the corner. Corner whip, Titan bounce out, and Puma hits him with a hard dropkick. Titan's seated in the corner. Puma runs back the other way, slaps the buckle, then comes back with a dropkick to the chest. Match 2: Diamante vs Pólvora
Arena Mexico, 05/18/2012

Winner: Diamante
Match Time: 3:54
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

Pólvora livens up the early mat work by finding different ways to hold onto Diamante's arm. He still gets armdragged. Diamante stands up out of a monkey flip, Pólvora does not. Diamante charges, and Pólvora tosses him out. Pólvora wastes no time (!) and goes up top, landing a plancha to the floor. Pólvora kicks miss, and Diamante slaps him back. Spring sunset flip reversal end up with Diamante on top for a two. Pólvora shoulderblocks Diamante, then gives a hand signal to the crowd. At least he's come up with a hand signal, but he's just cost himself about 2 judge points each for posing. Diamante stops him with a quebradora, then powerslams him for two. Pólvora trips Diamante into the ropes, Inquisidor style backcracker. Pólvora covers, but Diamante is all in the ropes. Pólvora pulls him off (and off the mat), and gets a two count. Pólvora claps his hands and throws up his hand signal. It's a Hook 'em Horns thing, I think. Corner charge misses, Diamante slowly charge in after, Pólvora tosses him to the top rope and crotches him. Diamante scooped up, and Pólvora just about losses him on the Pólvora Special. Pólvora somehow ends up with Diamante's mask in his hands too. Diamante's mask snaps on at the chin, so I guess it just came loose on the move. Pólvora makes no attempt to hide it (and also doesn't make a big deal of it), and it's an easy DQ. And a terrible finish, to be honest.

Pólvora and Tony Salazar it was accidental and Diamante's fault for not fixing the mask. That gets them nowhere. Diamante gets the mask and goes off to be judged. Lots of boos. Máximo didn't like the match. Miguel wants more holds. Negro, now in black!, says the match wasn't much because of the accidental mask pull but doesn't hold it against him. Tirantes says Diamante disrespected the public by losing his mask that easy. Tony Salazar wanders over to plead on Diamante's benefit. Scores are 4 for Miguel, 6 for Máximo, 7 for Negro, 3 for Tirantes. Miguel is the only one who will make eye contact with Diamante when holding up his score, the rest are looking down at the table. Odd. Anyway, 20 points.

Máximo says Pólvora was abysmal for losing that way. Pólvora just waves him off and laughs. Miguel points out how Pólvora holds a prestigious title but has been poor in this tournament. Negro says Pólvora's matches are cold and he's paying too much attention to the crowd. Pólvora waves off Tirantes and makes a show of ignoring him. Pólvora gets a chance to talk! Tirantes doesn't know anything, he hasn't been in matches. Pólvora lets Máximo know that hes' better than him. Tirantes yells at Pólvora while Pólvora turns his back on him. Scores are 4 from Miguel, 5 from Máximo, 7 from Negro, 1 from Tirantes! Tirantes is happy. Don't tell the judge off before he scores you, that never works out well. 17 points for Pólvora.

Euforia not in a hurry today. Press slam toss into the buckle. Whip, corner clothesline. Triton rallies back with a springboard headscissors, sending Euforia out, and carefully lands the Valiente special on the ropes. Replay of that. Both slow in. Triton in, for another dive, Euforia ducks down, Triton slides out, Euforia tosses him back to the apron, diving headscissors is caught and Euforia rams Triton back first into the post. Euforia chops Triton hard on the outside. Five minutes to go.

Euforia hangs out in the ring, waiting for Triton. Springboard plancha in, waved by, springboard headscissors gets Euforia over. Triton up and over sunset flip, one two no. Triton shoulderblock, run up the ropes, triple bounce headscissors – no, was barely going to get there and Euforia blocks it anyway, sit down powerbomb, one two three. That was sudden.

Máximo walks in front of the desk close to Euforia while talking to him, and the crowd chants for a kiss. Máximo thinks Euforia's the best. Miguel thanks he's doing good. Negro thinks Euforia should've won faster, but it was OK. Tirantes says Euforia is a great luchador, but he's not sure about him as an idol. Scores are 9 Miguel, 101 Máximo (a 10 and a 1, which is disallowed – so a 10), 9 Negro, 6 Tirantes.

Triton, still grabbing his head, stumbles to the judges desk. Máximo says Triton is one of the best young flyers. Miguel wants more holds! Negro gives him credit for his flying. Triton won't pay attention to Tirantes, who wants more wrestling. Miguel 5, Máximo 7, Negro 7, Tirantes 5. Triton storms off before they're even done reading the scores.

Match 4: Dragon Lee vs Niebla Roja

Roja rips up Dragon Lee's mask. Back in. Scoop, tossing bodyslam. One two NO. Niebla shakes his head at the crowd. Dragon Lee sat on top, Niebla Roja goes for the mask. He gets it part way off before stopping. Tree of Woe kick instead. Cover for two. Niebla hits Dragon Lee with the idea of his fist, then yells at the referee for yelling about him punching. Whoa, Dragon Lee's back does not look good in HD. Very pimply for some reason, can't imagine why. Niebla flips him tot he apron and kicks him there. Niebla Roja out. Whip, Dragon Lee bounces back, and it's a flapjack kick on the ramp. Niebla back in an arguing with the ref. He left Dragon lee on the ramp, which is not a smart move - sure enough, springboard headscissors back in, tope con giro out. Replay. Niebla Roja seems to have some problem with his right arm – Tony Salazar yanks, so maybe a shoulder dislocation? He's still protecting it as he comes in. Dragon Lee mess a corner charge, Niebla Roja cristo slam. Up to the middle rope – big senton misses. Dragon Lee hurries to his feet, drops Niebla Roja in front of the corner, stomps him, goes up, top rope shooting star press to boos, one two three.

Máximo says Dragon Lee he has proven he can take on bigger rudos and the crowd likes him. Crowd was booing when he went for the SSP, not so sure that. Miguel wants more llaves. Negro says it was a good match. Dragon Lee makes a show of ignoring Tirantes. Scores are 9 Miguel, 10 Máximo, 8 Negro, 4 Tirantes.

Máximo and Miguel are down on poor Niebla Roja. Negro thinks Niebla Roja has a good start. Tirantes is angry at Niebla for not respecting the referee. Scores are 8 Miguel, 8 Máximo, 7 Negro, 5 Tirantes.
