Match 1: Dalis la Caribeña ©, Estrellita, Marcela vs Amapola ©, La Comandante, La Seductora
Arena Mexico, 02/24/2012

  1. rudas

  2. técnicas
  3. técnicas

Winner: técnicas (2-1)
Match Time: 10:54
Rating: OK
Notes: Observed: CMLL rudas really like the Madonna. I can't believe Comandante doesn't have an entrance video. Well, I can, because she didn't have one, but I more so really could use something better to talk about during entrances. Estrellita and Amapola are held apart before the match. I'm not 100% sure why they're so much more angry now, but OK. Referee is Bestia Negra

1: Even though they want to fight each other, they do not fight each other to start the match. Instead, Marcela faces Comandante, once the rudas are done discussing things with the crowd. Mat work with those two, Marcela going to the hair pulls first to escape Comandante cradles. That's not much like her, but she does escape pumphandle to armdrag Comandante and stop her run. Comandante goes to the hair tossing from there. Marcela turns a whip into a springboard headscissors, flip armdrag Comandante, and ends the exchange with a springboard double knee drop. Seductora and Dalis do some ordinary stuff until Dalis slips on her way up the ropes for her flashy armdrag. Seductora responds well enough to kick her, but Dalis blows her headscissors to follow up and makes up an armdrag to end that bit. Amapola dropkick Estrellita as she steps thru the ropes, but Estrellita is right back with a clothesline. Estrellita springboard armdrag sends Amapola to the ropes, Amapola kicks Estrellita and corner whips her to set up another headscissors. Estrellita clothesline, blocked and pulls into Devil's Wings. She didn't let up on that one. Rudas hold off the others.

2: Rudas rush the técnicas. Brawling beatdown. Comandante breaks her giant swing record with r. Amapola crushes Estrellita with a flying sit. More brawling. Contrived bit has the tecnicas reversing the rudas whips, and Comandante clotheslining both her partners. Everyone but Dalis and Comandante end up outside, Dalis takes her down, Marcela flying double stomp. Dalis breaks out a new finish on Seductora for the fall. Dragon Rojo says “La Nazi.”

3: Amapola and Estrellita point to the crowd a lot. Weak Estrellita chant. Chop battle, which the crowd does get in to. Amapola pulls Estrellita down by her hair, stomps her, and yells at her. Whip, Estrellita back with a dropkick. Charging dropkick sends Amapola into the ropes, but Estrellita pulls her back in the middle of the ring Corner whip, charge, Estrellita spun around and pulls down from the ropes. Amapola clothesline turned into Estrellita fujiwara. Not quite Blue Panther, especially since Estrellita lets up to grab the other arm. Rudas break it up anyway. They miss a clothesline, and Marcela missile dropkicks them (despite them moving a bit are apart at the end). Everyone in, Estrellita casadora on Amapola, Amapola gets free, Amapola crushes her with a spear. Leg lock – no, small package one two three.

Match 2: Diamante ©, Dragon Lee, Triton vs Hijo del Signo, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura ©
Arena Mexico, 02/24/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:49
Rating: had it's moments, but overall problems.
Notes: Dragon Lee is doing nothing but fake martial arts in his entrance video. I feel like I've been lied too. Triton has some horrible music. Just metal growling. They start playing Sagrado's music for Diamante. That's a bad sign. Namajague and Okumura share an entrance. Referee is Terror Chino.

1: Signo & Namajague have an amusing conversation on the apron while Diamante and Okumura start. Namajague can only communicate by shaking his head, and he's quite chatty. Okumura manages to armdrag Diamante a bit, Diamante flips out of a snap mare and armdrags back. Quebradora takes care of that. Okumura wants a timeout, then tags out. Namajague and Dragon Lee in, Namajague covers his ears to avoid the (not so mighty) Dragon Lee chant. Chain wrestling with these two. Namajague cradle is too close to the ropes and Dragon Lee gets a foot on them. Leglocks and armbars on the mat. Dragon lee armdrags Namajague, Namajague gets right up and in his face, Dragon Lee is not quite sure what to do, but they just kind of make it a standoff. Triton and Hijo del Signo are in last, Triton springboarding and flipping in like usual. Signo is the first to springboard in their matchup, jumping to the middle rope, holding on to the third, then jumping off for a plancha. Signo up again and landing a sharp back elbow. Stomps. Corner whip, Triton takes about five bounces to get to the apron, slaps Signo away, and comes back in with a headscissors. Triton clotheslines Signo, stomps him, heads up, double bounce springboard tornillo armdrag. That looked sharp. Triton trips Signo into the ropes and lands a walk up the ropes guillotine legdrop. Signo gets up on the apron, and Triton just kicks him free. Namajague in (too early, then a bit out, then back in) and miss a dropkick. Triton armdrag him, runs to the ropes, springboard armdrag. Triton seems to mock Namajague, off the ropes, shoulderblock, Triton off the ropes, flip to the apron, Triton drops to the floor on his own (???), Namajague is confused, then runs to tease a dive, but it's really Okumura coming off the apron with a tope con giro. Diamante springboarding in with the other two rudos, but back elbowed down. Signo and Namajague come up with a plancha, which apparently involves flipping Dragon Lee on his feet. It goes no farther, Diamante waving his partners into a boost, but Signo caching him in a powerbomb. Namajague slaps Diamante on the back and pulls him over for huge German suplex. Signo puts on a Indian Deathlock for the submission as the ref counts the pin.

2: Rudos hold the ring. Triple boot for Diamante. Triton knocked around. Corner charges for Triton. Dragon Lee sat on the top rope, and Signo dropkicks him off to the floor. Rudos oddly leave Namajague alone with Diamante, and that backfires. Quebradora takes down the new guy. Rudos turn back into kick Diamante out. Triton asks for them to back off as he comes in – they do not. Double back elbow for him, casadora bulldog. Dragon Lee is kicked to the mat, tossed to his feet, and then blown up good by a Namajague spear. Double backdrop or Diamante, but he lands on his feet. Okumura grabs him, Diamante ducks and the other rudos chop him out. Signo kicks Diamante out, other técnicos in with – well, Dragon Lee got Signo with a plancha, but Namajague was too far away (or Triton was not close enough) and Triton kind of hit a springboard chest kick instead. Diamante comes back in, just to go back out – tope con giro on Diamante. Triton and and Dragon Lee set up the rudos – shooting star press is good, tornillo moonsault is a bit too long, more of a headbutt. Referee counts both for the fall.

3: Some revenge brawling to start the fall. Dragon Lee & Signo have issues while the Japanese just keep their distance from the other two. Diamante and Okumura start with chops. Of the rope evasion, Okumura hiptoss. Diamante charges, Okumura toss him to the apron and snap his neck over the top rope. Springboard headscissors, out goes Okumura. Signo in, and dropping Diamante with a back elbow. Signo bites as Diamante's hand while holding him in waistlock. Diamante kips up, slaps Signo, handspring bounces armdrag sends Signo out, and Diamante chases him thru the ropes. Chop fight, Signo misses, and Diamante drops him with a quebradora. That was very Valiente-ish. Dragon Lee and Namajague in. Crowd chanting “Drago” now. He's in the other group. Namajague tries to start a Namajague chant. It's not working, unhappily. Namajague show off his marital art poses. Dragon Lee does his martial arts poses. Namajague bows, offer a hand, and gets it kicked. Kick fight! Namajague does the splits to duck under a high kick, rolls away form a sweep, Dragon Lee gets him the other way, standing shooting star press, one two NO! That was great. Namajague right hand blocked, Dragon Lee back with something like a Hundred Hand Slap, back elbow to the face, jumping chest kick, and out goes Namajague. Dragon Lee goes for a dive, but Signo flips him with a clothesline. Actually looked like a clothesline this week and not just a Dragon Lee flip. Signo chops Dragon Lee away. Whip, flipping over, Okumura grabs Dragon Lee, Signo slaps, Dragon Lee ducks, and down goes Okumura. Dragon Lee off the ropes, springboard out to the ramp for a huge headscissors – which mostly misses, and Okumura acts like he got the better of it. Triton headscissors Signo out while Dragon Lee makes his own comeback via another jumping kick. Dragon Lee turns back to the ring – Running up the corner and off for a tope con giro onto Signo. Triton running kicks Namajague (that didn't look right), then runs up the ropes for a dive, but trips on the second rope and tumbles over the ropes to the floor. Namajague had no chance to break his fall. That looked unpleasant, though not killer. Diamante in with a springboard plancha on Okumura, 'rana, Okumura rolls thru one two NO. Okumura argues it the ref, clothesline blocked, Diamante drops him in front of the ropes, springboard 450 splash is a bit high, one two three.

Diamante celebrates for a second, then leaves to check on Triton. No sign of the doctor for a while, everyone just lets Triton lay there.
